1Postoperative ileus: Impact of pharmacological treatment,laparoscopic surgery and enhanced recovery pathways显示文摘Almost all patients develop postoperative ileus (POI) after abdominal surgery.POI represents the single largest factor influencing length of stay (LOS) after bowel resection,and has great implications for patients and resource utilization in health care.New methods to treat and decrease the length of POI are therefore of great importance.During the past decade,a substantial amount of research has been performed evaluating POI,and great progress has been made in our understanding and treatment of POI.Laparoscopic procedures,enhanced recovery pathways and pharmacologic treatment have been introduced.Each factor has substantially contributed to decreasing the length of POI and thus LOS after bowel resection.This editorial outlines resource utilization of POI,normal physiology of gut motility and pathogenesis of POI.Pharmacological treatment,fast track protocols and laparoscopic surgery can each have significant impact on pathways causing POI.The optimal integration of these treatment options continues to be assessed in prospective studies.Knut Magne Augestad Conor P Delaney 2010World Journal of Gastroenterology2010,16,17:33
2Molecular mechanisms of mesenchymal stem cell differentiation towards osteoblasts显示文摘Bone is a dynamic tissue that is constantly renewed by the coordinated action of two cell types, i.e., the bone-resorbing osteoclasts and the bone-forming osteoblasts. However, in some circumstances, bone regeneration exceeds bone self repair capacities. This is notably often the case after bone fractures, osteolytic bone tumor surgery, or osteonecrosis. In this regard,bone tissue engineering with autologous or allogenic mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) is been widely developed. MSCs can be isolated from bone marrow or other tissues such as adipose tissue or umbilical cord, and can be implanted in bone defects with or without prior amplification and stimulation. However, the outcome of most pre-clinical studies remains relatively disappointing. A better understanding of the successive steps and molecular mechanisms involved in MSC-osteoblastic differentiation appears to be crucial to optimize MSC-bone therapy. In this review, we first present the important growth factors that stimulate osteoblastogenesis. Then we review the main transcription factors that modulate osteoblast differentiation, and the microRNAs(miRs)that inhibit their expression. Finally, we also discuss articles dealing with the use of these factors and miRs in the development of new bone MSC therapy strategies. 4High precision magnetometer for geomagnetic exploration onboard of the China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite显示文摘The China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite(CSES) is the first platform of China's earthquake observation system in space and the first satellite of China's geophysical field detection missions. The high precision magnetometer(HPM), which contains two fluxgate sensors and a coupled dark state magnetometer(CDSM), measures the vector of the Earth's magnetic field with a bandwidth from DC to 15 Hz. The two fluxgate sensors are in a gradiometer configuration in order to reduce satellite interferences. Additionally, the CDSM sensor measures the scalar value of the magnetic field with higher accuracy and stability.Several data processing and calibration methods have been prepared to get accurate vector magnetic field data. This includes the calibration of each of the three sensors, the absolute vector correction algorithm, the spacecraft magnetic interference elimination and the coordinate transformation method. 6Determination of thermal conductivity of magnesium-alloys显示文摘An indirect method, Angstroms method was adopted and an instrument was designed to determine the thermal conductivity of magnesium metal and alloys. Angstroms method is an axial periodic heat flow technique by which the thermal diffusivity can be measured directly. Then thermal conductivity can be obtained with relation to thermal diffusivity. Compared with the recommended data from the literature the fitted values of the thermal diffiusivity correspond with 3%, and the credible probability of the thermal conductivity in the range of 0 450 ℃ is about 95%. 7Chronic fatigue is associated with increased disease-related worries and concerns in inflammatory bowel disease显示文摘AIM:To investigate the impact of chronic fatigue on disease-related worries in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and the potential multicolinearity between subjective questionnaires.METHODS:Patients in remission or with mild-tomoderate disease activity completed the fatigue questionnaire (FQ),the rating form of IBD patient concerns (RFIPC),the Short-Form 36 (SF-36),and IBD questionnaire (N-IBDQ).In addition,clinical and epidemiological data were obtained.RESULTS:In total,140 patients were included;of which 92 were diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and 48 with Crohn's disease.The mean age of patients with chronic fatigue was 44.2 years (SD=15.8) and for non-fatigued patients was 44.7 years (SD=16.0).Chronic fatigued patients had clinically significantly increased levels of disease-related worries,as measured by Cohen's d effect size.Worries about having an ostomy bag,loss of bowel control,and energy levels were most prominent in both chronic fatigued and non-chronic fatigued IBD patients.Variance inflation factor (VIF) and tolerance indicated that there were no problematic multicolinearity among the FQ,RFIPC,SF-36 and N-IBDQ responses (VIF < 5 and tolerance > 2).CONCLUSION:Chronic fatigue is associated with increased levels of disease-related worries and concerns in IBD.Increased levels of worries were also associated with impaired health-related quality of life.Lars-Petter Jelsness-Jφrgensen Tomm Bernklev Magne Henriksen Roald Torp Bjφrn Moum 2012World Journal of Gastroenterology2012,18,5:8
8太阳能辅助二氧化碳地源热泵系统的性能分析显示文摘地源热泵系统常年运行时,如果提取和释放到地源的热量不平衡,会造成埋管区域土壤温度变化问题。对于供热为主地区,这会导致土壤温度降低,地源热泵运行效率降低。采用地源热泵耦合太阳能集热系统的方法,可以解决此问题。本文针对以二氧化碳为循环工质的地源热泵耦合太阳能集热器组成的系统,建立了气候模型、二氧化碳热泵机组模型、地下埋管换热器模型、太阳能集热器模型以及建筑模型等子模型,并基于各个子模型开发了太阳能辅助二氧化碳地源热泵系统性能的预测模型。通过已有对太阳能集热器子模型和地下埋管换热器子模型进行的实验验证表明,太阳能集热器子模型得到热水温度误差在1 oC以下,地下埋管换热器子模型的精度高于90%。以挪威特隆赫姆市为例,对系统性能进行了分析,并与常规地源热泵系统进行对比分析,结果表明,太阳能辅助地源热泵系统运行一年后土壤中热不平衡率可以从95.1%降到0.1%以下,年运行功率降低41.5%。叶菁菁 胡海涛 丁国良 EIKEVIK Trygve Magne 2016制冷技术2016,36,1:7
9Adenomyomatosis of the gallbladder in childhood: A systematic review of the literature and an additional case report显示文摘AIM: To investigate the diagnostic and therapeutic assessment in children with adenomyomatosis of the gallbladder(AMG).METHODS: AMG is a degenerative disease characterized by a proliferation of the mucosal epithelium which deeply invaginates and extends into the thickened muscular layer of the gallbladder, causing intramural diverticula. Although AMG is found in up to 5% of cholecystectomy specimens in adult populations, this condition in childhood is extremely uncommon. Authors provide a detailed systematic review of the pediatric literature according to PRISMA guidelines, focusing on diagnostic and therapeutic assessment. An additional case of AMG is also presented. RESULTS:Five studies were finally enclosed, encompassing 5 children with AMG. Analysis was extended to our additional 11-year-old patient, who presented diffuse AMG and pancreatic acinar metaplasia of the gallbladder mucosa and was successfully managed with laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Mean age at presentation was 7.2 years. Unspecific abdominal pain was the commonest symptom. Abdominal ultrasound was performed on all patients, with a diagnostic accuracy of 100%. Five patients underwent cholecystectomy, and at follow-up were asymptomatic. In the remaining patient, completely asymptomatic at diagnosis, a conservative approach with monthly monitoring via ultrasonography was undertaken. CONCLUSION: Considering the remote but possible degeneration leading to cancer and the feasibility of laparoscopic cholecystectomy even in small children, evidence suggests that elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy represent the treatment of choice. 12Initial scalar lithospheric magnetic anomaly map of China and surrounding regions derived from CSES satellite data显示文摘The China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite(CSES),China’s first satellite to measure geophysical fields with scientific goals in both space and solid earth physics,was launched successfully in February 2018.It carries high-precision magnetometers to measure the geomagnetic field.In this study,the CSES magnetic data were used to extract the signal of the lithospheric magnetic field caused by magnetized rocks in the crust and uppermost mantle.First,an along-track analysis of the CSES magnetic data was undertaken near the Bangui magnetic anomaly in central Africa and the Tarim magnetic anomaly in China,demonstrating that the CSES magnetic data are indeed sensitive to the lithospheric magnetic anomaly field.Then a lithospheric magnetic anomaly map over China and surrounding regions was derived.This map is consistent with the lithospheric part of the CHAOS-7 model.In particular,it clearly reveals four major magnetic anomalies containing long-wavelength signals at the altitude of lowearth-orbiting satellites.Three magnetic highs are located over the Tarim,Sichuan and Songliao basin,the origins of which could be related to large-scale tectonic-magmatic activities during geological history.A prominent magnetic low is otherwise found in the southern Himalayan-Tibetan plateau,possibly caused by the shallow Curie depth in this region.To further improve the precision of the lithospheric magnetic field model,more detailed data processing and multi-source data merging are needed.WANG Jie SHEN XuHui YANG YanYan ZEREN ZhiMa HULOT Gauthier OLSEN Nils ZHOU Bin MAGNES Werner DE SANTIS Angelo HUANG JianPing GUO Feng LIU WenLong YU JingBo 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,5:4

14Modelling of a tubular membrane contactor for pre-combustion CO_2 capture using ionic liquids:Influence of the membrane configuration, absorbent properties and operation parameters显示文摘A membrane contactor using ionic liquids(ILs) as solvent for pre-combustion capture CO_2 at elevated temperature(303-393 K) and pressure(20 bar) has been studied using mathematic model in the present work. A comprehensive two-dimensional(2 D) mass-transfer model was developed based on finite element method. The effects of liquid properties, membrane configurations, as well as operation parameters on the CO_2 removal efficiency were systematically studied. The simulation results show that CO_2 can be effectively removed in this process. In addition, it is found that the liquid phase mass transfer dominated the overall mass transfer. Membranes with high porosity and small thickness could apparently reduce the membrane resistance and thus increase the separation efficiency. 15Targeting head and neck tumoral stem cells: From biologicalaspects to therapeutic perspectives显示文摘Head and neck squamous cell cancer(HNSCC) is the sixth most common cancer in the world. Effective therapeutic modalities such as surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and combinations of each are used in the management of the disease. In most cases, treatment fails to obtain total cancer cure. In recent years, it appears that one of the key determinants of treatment failure may be the presence of cancer stem cells(CSCs) that escape currently available therapies. CSCs form a small portion of the total tumor burden but may play a disproportionately important role in determining outcomes. CSCs have stem features such as self-renewal, high migration capacity, drug resistance, high proliferation abilities. A large body of evidence points to the fact that CSCs are particularly resistant to radiotherapy and chemotherapy. In HNSCC, CSCs have been increasingly shown to have an integral role in tumor initiation, disease progression, metastasis and treatment resistance. 17Colorectal cancer surveillance:What's new and what's next?显示文摘The accumulated evidence from two decades of randomized controlled trials has not yet resolved the question of how best to monitor colorectal cancer(CRC)survivors for early detection of recurrent and metachronous disease or even whether doing so has its intended effect.A new wave of trial data in the coming years and an evolving knowledge of relevant biomarkers may bring us closer to understanding what surveillance strategies are most effective for a given subset of patients.To best apply these insights,a number of important research questions need to be addressed,and new decision making tools must be developed.In this review,we summarize available randomized controlled trial evidence comparing alternative surveillance testing strategies,describe ongoing trials in the area,and compare professional society recommendations for surveillance.In addition,we discuss innovations relevant to CRC surveillance and outline a research agenda which will inform a more risk-stratified and personalized approach to follow-up.Johnie Rose Knut Magne Augestad Gregory S Cooper 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,8:3
