1Anisotropic coding metamaterials and their powerful manipulation of differently polarized terahertz waves显示文摘Metamaterials based on effective media can be used to produce a number of unusual physical properties(for example,negative refraction and invisibility cloaking)because they can be tailored with effective medium parameters that do not occur in nature.Recently,the use of coding metamaterials has been suggested for the control of electromagnetic waves through the design of coding sequences using digital elements‘0’and‘1,'which possess opposite phase responses.Here we propose the concept of an anisotropic coding metamaterial in which the coding behaviors in different directions are dependent on the polarization status of the electromagnetic waves.We experimentally demonstrate an ultrathin and flexible polarization-controlled anisotropic coding metasurface that functions in the terahertz regime using specially designed coding elements.By encoding the elements with elaborately designed coding sequences(both 1-bit and 2-bit sequences),the x-and y-polarized waves can be anomalously reflected or independently diffused in three dimensions.The simulated far-field scattering patterns and near-field distributions are presented to illustrate the dual-functional performance of the encoded metasurface,and the results are consistent with the measured results.We further demonstrate the ability of the anisotropic coding metasurfaces to generate a beam splitter and realize simultaneous anomalous reflections and polarization conversions,thus providing powerful control of differently polarized electromagnetic waves.The proposed method enables versatile beam behaviors under orthogonal polarizations using a single metasurface and has the potential for use in the development of interesting terahertz devices.Shuo Liu Tie Jun Cui Quan Xu Di Bao Liangliang Du Xiang Wan Wen Xuan Tang Chunmei Ouyang Xiao Yang Zhou Hao Yuan Hui Feng Ma Wei Xiang Jiang Jiaguang Han Weili Zhang Qiang Cheng 2016Light(Science & Applications)2016,5,1:36
2Efficacy and safety of a novel anti-HER2 therapeutic antibody RC48 in patients with HER2-overexpressing,locally advanced or metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer:a single-arm phase II study显示文摘Background:Current treatment options for human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-overexpressing gastric cancer at third-line have shown limited clinical benefit.Further,there is no specific treatment for HER2 immunohistochemistry(IHC)2+and fluorescence in-situ hybridization-negative patients.Here,we report the efficacy and safety of a novel anti-HER2 antibody RC48 for patients with HER2-overexpressing,advanced gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer.Methods:Patients with HER2-overexpressing(IHC 2+or 3+),locally advanced or metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer who were under at least second-line therapy were eligible and received RC482.5 mg/kg alone every 2 weeks.The primary endpoint was the objective response rate(ORR)assessed by an independent review committee.Secondary endpoints included progressionfree survival(PFS),overall survival(OS),duration of response,time to progression,disease control rate,and safety.Results:Of 179 patients screened,125 were eligible and received RC48 treatment.The ORR was 24.8%(95%confidence interval[CI]:17.5%-33.3%).The median PFS and OS were 4.1 months(95%CI:3.7-4.9 months)and 7.9 months(95%CI:6.7-9.9 months),respectively.The most frequently reported adverse events were decreased white blood cell count(53.6%),asthenia(53.6%),hair loss(53.6%),decreased neutrophil count(52.0%),anemia(49.6%),and increased aspartate aminotransferase level(43.2%).Serious adverse events(SAEs)occurred in 45(36.0%)patients,and RC48-related SAEs were mainly decreased neutrophil count(3.2%).Seven patients had adverse events that led to death were not RC48-related.Conclusions:RC48 showed promising activity with manageable safety,suggesting potential application in patients with HER2-overexpressing,advanced gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer who have previously received at least two lines of chemotherapy.Zhi Peng Tianshu Liu Jia Wei Airong Wang Yifu He Liuzhong Yang Xizhi Zhang Nanfeng Fan Suxia Luo Zhen Li Kangsheng Gu Jianwei Lu Jianming Xu Qingxia Fan Ruihua Xu Liangming Zhang Enxiao Li Yuping Sun Guohua Yu Chunmei Bai Yong Liu Jiangzheng Zeng Jieer Ying Xinjun Liang Nong Xu Chao Gao Yongqian Shu Dong Ma Guanghai Dai Shengmian Li Ting Deng Yuehong Cui Jianmin Fang Yi Ba Lin Shen 2021Cancer Communications2021,41,11:29
3Identifying paleoflood deposits archived in Zhongba Site,the Three Gorges reservoir region of the YangtzeRiver,China显示文摘Based on the principle that the present is the key to the past , detailed analyses, such as AMS 14C dating, grain size, component and morphology of heavy minerals, micro-morphology of zircon, Rb/Sr, magnetic susceptibility and total organic carbon (TOC), were conducted to identify paleoflood sediments archived in Zhongba Site. The results indicate that the plaeoflood sediments bear great similarities with modern flood sediments in the following aspects: (1) probability cumulative curves mainly show a pattern of 3―4 segments; (2) grain-size distribution of suspended matter ranges between 3 and 10Ф; (3) the sediments are well-sorted, most of which are suspended matter (>50%); (4) the same species, quantity and morphology of heavy minerals; (5) scanning electronic microscope images show that shapes of zircon are mainly oval and nearly spheral, rounded due to long-distance transport; (6) higher Rb/Sr values (0.55―0.66)than those of sediments from cultural layers (0.03―0.26); (7) magnetic susceptibility values (133.73―433.05 10-6m3/kg) are lower than those of sediments from cultural layers (959.25―2442.44 10?6 m3/kg); (8) TOC (0.14%―0.33%) are lower than those of sediments from cultural lay-ers (1.13%―2.95%). 4Climate changes in East China since the Late-glacial inferred from high-resolution mountain peat humification records显示文摘High-resolution peat humification records were obtained from Dajiuhu of the Shennongjia Mountains and Qianmutian of the Tianmu Mountains to study climate changes in East China.The analyses of pollen,organic matters,TOC,and Rb/Sr indicate a high degree of peat humification and thus strong decomposition of organic matter when climate was dry.Conversely,when climate was humid,the degree of humification is low because peat was preserved in a waterlogged condition.Peat humification from Dajiuhu occurred not only during the Younger Dryas(about 11.4-12.6 cal ka BP),the Blling-Allerd Warm Period(12.6-15.2 cal ka BP),and the Oldest Dryas(about 15.2-16.0 cal ka BP),but also during the early Holocene(about 11.4-9.4 cal ka BP),the 8.2 cal ka BP cold event,and the Holocene Optimum(about 7.0-4.2 cal ka BP).Both peat humification records since nearly 5 ka BP are consistent,showing that mountain peatland has synchronous responses to the East Asia monsoon-induced precipitation.The LOI data confirm the above observation.The monsoon precipitation since nearly 5 ka BP recorded in these two peat profiles can be divided into three phases.During 4.9-3.5 ka BP,precipitation amount was high but fluctuated greatly.During 3.5-0.9 ka BP,precipitation amount was low.During 0.9-0 ka BP,degree of humification reduced gradually,indicating the increase of monsoon precipitation.Contrast to other high-resolution records from East China monsoon region shows that the monsoon precipitation records of the two peat profiles since nearly 16 ka BP are controlled by a common forcing mechanism of summer solar radicalization in the Northern Hemisphere.MA ChunMei ZHU Cheng ZHENG ChaoGui YIN Qian ZHAO ZhiPing 2009Science China Earth Sciences2009,52,1:22
5High-resolution geochemistry records of climate changes since late-glacial from Dajiuhu peat in Shennongjia Mountains,Central China显示文摘A peat core with depths of 297 cm was obtained from the Dajiuhu Basin(31°29′27″N,109°59′45″E,1760 m)in Hubei Province,Central China.10 AMS ages provide a time control and reveal that this core spans the past about 16.0 kaBP(calibrated age)(1 4C age:13.3 kaBP).Multi-proxy indexes analysis of geochemistry shows the following character of climate and environmental changes since about 16 kaBP:(1) The climate during the late-glacial period was cold and wet as a whole,but fluctuated continually.11.4- 12.6 cal.kaBP,12.6-15.2 cal.kaBP and 15.2-16 kaBP were corresponding respectively to the Younger Drays,Bφlling-Allerφd Warm Period and the Oldest Drays.(2)Inheriting the some climate characteristics of the late-glacial,the climate during the early-Holocene was wet and temperature increased gradually,during which an obvious dry event around 10.6 cal.kaB appeared.(3)The climate during the mid-Holocene was genarally warm and wet.During 9.2-7.5 kaBP,temperature increased gradually, precipitation was less comparatively and the 8.2 kaBP cold event which might be representative in the globe was reflected markedly.Then,multi-proxy records were relatively stable during 6.7-4.2 kaBP, which shows the best water and thermal condition in the Holocene Optimum.(4)Around 4.2 kaBP,the climate and environment transform from warm and wet to cool and dry,which may result in the collapse of the Neolithic Culture and midwifery the civilization of Xia Dynasty in this region.After 0.9 kaBP,the climate turned cool and wet.Climate and environmental changes archived in Dajiuhu peat respond to the global changes since the late-glacial period and can be contrasted to the changes recorded in other high-resolution archives from the East Asia Monsoon region,which take on the variety model that the monsoon strengthened abruptly after the late-glacial,was strong during the early Holocene,subse- quently declined and became weak after the middle Holocene with dry climate.According to our analysis,the driving mechanism should be the response of solar radiation changes in the East Asia Monsoon region at middle latitudes.MA ChunMei ZHU Cheng ZHENG ChaoGui WU ChunLin GUAN Yong ZHAO ZhiPing HUANG LinYan HUANG Run 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,S1:19
6Characteristics of paleoflood deposits archived in unit T0403 of Yuxi Site in the Three Gorges reservoir areas,China显示文摘Based on the detailed analyses,multi-proxies such as AMS 14 C dating,grain size,component and morphology of heavy minerals,micromorphology of zircon,magnetic susceptibility,Rb/Sr and Hg content are used to research the paleoflood sediments archived in the Yuxi Site.The research indicates that, since 7.6 kaBP,at least 16 times of paleoflood with water level above Wusong Elevation 147.024 m(a.s.l.) left deposits in the Neolithic layers of unit T0403 from the Yuxi Site.The results are induced from the following aspects:(1)The plaeoflood sediments take on great similarities with modern flood sediments in the Yuxi Site and Zhongba Site in probability cumulative curves which mainly show a pattern of 3 segments in fluvial pattern.(2)There is some resemblance between the heavy mineral components and the zircon shape characteristics of paleoflood deposits and those of modern flood deposits.(3) Magnetic susceptibility values(40.44―70.10SI)are lower than those of sediments from cultural layers (59.59―188.68SI).(4)Hg values(290.71―742.51 ng/g)are lower than those of sediments from cultural layers(344.16―10518.17 ng/g).(5)Rb/Sr values are higher than those of sediments from cultural layers, while those of the 4th,5th,6th,7th,8th cultural layers are high,which shows that they are inundated by paleoflood.The reason for many flood deposits existing is related to the site situated on the first terrace where the Yuxi River joins with the Yangtze River.As there are some similarities between the plaeoflood sediments and those of the Zhongba Site,it is feasible to confirm the existence of paleoflood sediments based on the above points.ZHU Cheng MA ChunMei XU WeiFeng BAI JiuJiang ZHENG ChaoGui ZHU GuangYao WANG HuiLin CHEN Ye LU XueFeng 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,S1:16

8Climate and environment reconstruction during the Medieval Warm Period in Lop Nur of Xinjiang, China显示文摘We made multi-proxy analysis of 14C, grain size, microfossils, plant seeds, and geochemical elements on samples from a profile in the central West Lake of Lop Nur. The grain size suggests relatively stable sedimentary environment around the Medieval Warm Period (MWP) with weak storm effect, which is followed by frequent strong storm events. Abundant microfossils and plant seeds in this stage indicate a warm and humid fresh to brackish lake environment. C, N, and stable elements are high in content in the sediments while Rb/Sr, Ba/Sr, and Ti/Sr are in a steady low level. In addition, plenty of red willows lived here prior to about 700 a B.P., indicating a favorable environmental condition. The results indicate that the environment in Lop Nur and its west bank turned to be favorable at about 2200 a B.P., where the Loulan Culture began to thrive. Then the climate and environment came to be in the good condition in the Tang and Song Dynasties, when the storm effect became weaker, rainfall increased and the salty lake water turned to be brackish to fresh lake water. 12Pollen-based Holocene quantitative temperature reconstruction on the eastern Tibetan Plateau using a comprehensive method framework显示文摘Quantitative climate reconstruction on long timescales can provide important insights for understanding the climate variability and providing valuable data for simulations. Unfortunately, the credibility of some attempts was hampered by incomplete reconstruction procedures. We here establish a comprehensive framework resting on high-quality Chinese modern pollen database, including modern pollen data screening, calibration set selection, major climate factor analysis, appropriate model selection, strict statistical assessment of results and ecological interpretation. The application of this framework to three high-resolution pollen records from the eastern Tibetan Plateau allows accurate quantitative inferences of Holocene temperature changes, which is the major control of regional vegetation. The results show that the mean warmest month temperature(MTwa)during the early Holocene was ca. 10.4℃ and reached the highest value at 8.5–6 ka BP(ca. 11℃). The early and mid-Holocene(11–5 ka BP) warmth was followed by 1.2℃ temperature decrease, culminating in the coolest temperatures of the Holocene during the Neoglacial cooling. Superimposing on the general cooling trend, MTwareveals a significant 500-yr periodicity with varying intensities through time, showing that warm(cold) intervals are in phase with solar maxima(minima) periods. 13Animal diversities and characteristics of environmental change revealed by skeletons unearthed at Zhongba Site of Chongqing City,China显示文摘Nearly 200000 animal skeletons are unearthed in the Unit T0202 from Zhongba Site of Zhongxian County.According to the analysis of 129165 specimens,these skeletons may be classified into 5 kinds, namely,Mammalia,Osteichthys,Aves,Amphibian and Reptilia,which belong to 13 orders,28 families and 42 genera.In this paper,based on archeological dating and AMS 14 C data,through statistically analyzing the unearthed skeletons and studying the change of the smallest individual numbers,these research results detected the following:1)In almost all the time of 2370―200 BC,in Zhongba region, some animals distributed widely,such as Muntiacus sp,Elaphodus cephalophus and Muntiacus sp. inhabiting in glade and grassland,Scrofa sp.and Canis familiaris raised by the ancient people,rodentia rabbit and Rattus rattus,which suggested that a fairly good ecological environment of forest and grassland was preserved at that period and the predecessors began to raise domestic animals from 1750 to 1000 BC,which has lasted until today.2)Rhinoceros only lived during 2000―1750 BC,1000― 700 BC and 700―500 BC,which indicates that the ecological environment of grassland and wetland might be better in these phases.3)Macaca sp.and Ursus arctos appeared only after 1750―1000 BC, which may show that the forest condition is better for animals to live during 1750―200 BC.4)The smallest individual numbers of Bublus sp.,bos sp.and otters emerged during about 2370―1750 BC, which perhaps infers that water area during the early period was wider than that of the late period.5) Since skeletons of rhinoceros are discovered in strata of Zhongba Site during 2000―1750 BC and 1000―500 BC,according to the climate and ecology environment which rhinoceros live in now,the average annual temperature and precipitation during 2000―1750 BC and 1000―500 BC are supposed to be probably higher than that of today.Although Zhu Kezhen considered that the first low temperature period in the past 5000 years of China was between 1100 BC and 850 BC,massive pollen of Morus, Ulmus,Fagus,Quercus,Castanea,etc.were found in Dajiuhu peat at that time,which should indicate that the climate was still moderate for living things to live at least in Dajiuhu basin and Zhongba Site.6) Because skeletons of Gervus albirostris were unearthed during 310―200 BC at Zhongba Site,based onthe climate and the ecological environment those animals live in now,the average annual temperature and the average annual precipitation in Zhongba area between 310 BC and 200 BC should be lower than those of today,which is confirmed by the TOC research of Zhongba Site strata.ZHU Cheng MA ChunMei OUYANG Jie LI ZhongXuan YIN Qian SUN ZhiBin HUANG YunPing R.K.FLAD LI Lan LI YuMei 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,S1:4
14Reconstructing past subsistence patterns on Zhongba Site using stable carbon and oxygen isotopes of fossil tooth enamel显示文摘The oxygen and carbon isotopic ratios in human and animal tooth enamel were measured to reconstruct the subsistence patterns on Zhongba Site between 2400 and 4200 aBP.The results indicate that human consumed chiefly C4 resources,such as millet,and the C3 plants,such as rice and wheat,constituted only a small fraction of the human diets,normally no more than 15%.There are significant differences in food sources between human and pig,and the percentages of C3 plants in pig diets were higher than those in human diets.But theδ13C values of pig partially overlap those of human,demonstrating some similarities in their food sources.The differences in water sources between human and pig are significant.There are significant differences in food and water sources between cattle and deer. 16Environmental archaeology on Longshan Culture (4500-4000 aBP) at Yuhuicun Site in Bengbu, Anhui Province显示文摘Based on the samples collected from the west wall of the ABYT2004 at Yuhuicun Site in Bengbu,Anhui Province,the multi-environmental substitute indexes such as the grain-size,Rb/Sr,zircon crystal morphology and magnetic susceptibility were analyzed.The age of archaeological strata was determined by AMS14C dating.According to the results,combined with the information of the ancient human activities and the cultural heritage data obtained from the Longshan cultural archaeological strata,it can be concluded that(1) Before 4500 aBP,the climate was humid and water level was high in the Huaihe River and its tributaries,the drainage basin and its surrounding areas were even flooded,so the site area was submerged and there were no human activities around the site.(2) About 4500 aBP,the climate began to become drier and water level of the Huaihe River and its tributaries began to decline,thus floodplain gradually appeared,Yuhuicun Site and Longshan Culture began to appear.(3) Around 4100 aBP,the climate was humid and rainfall was abundant,which resulted in frequent flood disasters in the whole Huaihe River Basin.(4) After 4100 aBP,the climate gradually transited to be cold and dry,agricultural production was constrained to reduce the food source,Yuhuicun Site was almost abandoned.(5) The environmental information in sedimentary strata and historical records based on ancient books agree with each other.In addition,Yuhuicun Site was related to Dayu Zhishui(Yu the Great in taming the floods) in ancient books.ZHANG Guangsheng ZHU Cheng WANG Jihuai ZHU Guangyao MA Chunmei ZHENG Chaogui ZHAO Lanhui LI Zhongxuan LI Lan JIN Aichun 2010Journal of Geographical Sciences2010,20,3:3
17Effects of increasing panicle-stage N on yield and N use efficiency of indica rice and its relationship with soil fertility显示文摘Because of the higher nitrogen(N)recovery efficiency(NRE)of panicle-stage fertilization compared with basal and tillering fertilization,increasing the proportion of N topdressing at the booting stage(panicleN)is recommended and commonly practiced in parts of China.To investigate the effects of increasing panicle-N on grain yield and N use efficiency(NUE)and the relationships of the increase and the rice cultivar and soil fertility status,we increased the percentage of panicle-N from 20%to 40%by correspondingly reducing the N amount applied only at the tillering stage in both high-and low-fertility blue clayey paddy fields in 2018 and 2019.Four indica cultivars with diverse panicle types were used,and their grain yield,dry matter accumulation,and NUE were compared.In high-fertility soil,increasing topdressing panicle-N from 20%to 40%reduced tillering ability and reduced the effective panicle numbers of the multi-and medium-panicle cultivars Huanghuazhan(HHZ),C Liangyouhuazhan(CHZ),and Tianyouhuazhan(THZ).These cultivars gave the greatest yield when 30%of N was supplied as panicle fertilizer,whereas the yield,NRE,N agronomic efficiency(NAE),and nitrogen physiological efficiency(NPE)of the heavy-panicle inbred cultivar Yangdao 6(YD6)continued to increase,resulting in improved dry matter accumulation and grain filling in the late growth stage.The yield,NAE,NRE,and NPE of YD6 peaked when the panicle-N constituted 40%.While in low-fertility soil,the multipanicle cultivar HHZ showed the greatest yield when 30%of fertilizer-N was applied once at the panicle initiation(PI)stage,while the medium-panicle cultivar CHZ showed the greatest yield when the panicle-N percentage was 40%.Our results suggest that the percentage of panicle-N fertilizer should not exceed 30%for multipanicle cultivars,while can be appropriately increased to 40%for heavy-panicle indica cultivars.The effect of increasing topdressing panicle-N on the yield of medium-panicle cultivars was related to soil fertility.The optimum panicle-N percentage was 30%in the high-fertility soil and 40%in the low-fertility soil.Chang Ye Hengyu Ma Xiu Huang Chunmei Xu Song Chen Guang Chu Xiufu Zhang Danying Wang 2022The Crop Journal2022,10,6:3
18Transcriptomics and metabolomics analyses provide insights into postharvest ripening and senescence of tomato fruit under low temperature显示文摘Tomato is one of the most important vegetable crops in the world and is a model plant used to study the ripening of climacteric fleshy fruit.During the ripening process of tomato fruit,flavor and aroma metabolites,color,texture and plant hormones undergo significant changes.However,low temperatures delayed the ripening process of tomato fruit,inhibiting flavor compounds and ethylene production.Metabolomics and transcriptomics analyses of tomato fruit stored under low temperature(LT,5°C)and room temperature(RT,25°C)were carried out to investigate the effects of storage temperature on the physiological changes in tomato fruit after harvest.The results of transcriptomics changes revealed that the differentially expressed genes(DEGs)involved in tomato fruit ripening,including several kinds of transcription factors(TFs)(TCP,WRKY,MYB and bZIP),enzymes involved in cell wall metabolism[beta-galactosidase(β-GAL),pectinesterase(PE)and pectate lyase(PL),cellulose and cellulose synthase(CESA)],enzymes associated with fruit flavor and aroma[acetyltransferase(AT),malic enzyme(ME),lipoxygenase(LOX),aldehyde dehydrogenase(ALDH),alcohol dehydrogenase(ADH)and hexokinase(HK)],genes associated with heat stress protein 70 and genes involved in the production of plant hormones such as Ethylene responsive factor 1(ERF1),Auxin/indoleacetic acids protein(AUX/IAA),gibberellin regulated protein.Based on the above results,we constructed a regulatory network model of the effects of different temperatures during the fruit ripening process.According to the analysis of the metabolomics results,it was found that the contents of many metabolites in tomato fruit were greatly affected by storage temperature,including,organic acids(L-tartaric acid,a-hydroxyisobutyric acid and 4-acetamidobutyric acid),sugars(melezitose,beta-Dlactose,D-sedoheptulose 7-phosphate,2-deoxyribose 1-phosphate and raffinose)and phenols(coniferin,curcumin and feruloylputrescine).This study revealed the effects of storage temperature on postharvest tomato fruit and provided a basis for further understanding of the molecular biology and biochemistry of fruit ripening.Chunmei Bai Caie Wu Lili Ma Anzhen Fu Yanyan Zheng Jiawei Han Changbao Li Shuzhi Yuan Shufang Zheng Lipu Gao Xinhua Zhang Qing Wang Demei Meng Jinhua Zuo 2023Horticultural Plant Journal2023,9,1:3
19Antithymocyte globulin/antilymphocyte globulin plus kidney-nourishing Chinese Medicinal:effect on severe aplastic anemia显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore the effect of antithymocyte globulin(ATG)/antilymphocyte globulin(ALG) plus kidney-nourishing Chinese medicinal(KNCM) on severe aplastic anemia(SAA).METHODS:Twenty-five subjects of severe aplastic anemia were treated with ATG/ALD plus KNCM between 1992 and 2009,and the clinical data before and after treatment were collected and analyzed.RESULTS:Of the 25 patients,9 were nearly cured,6 were improved,5 were in remission,and 5 failed.The overall effective rate was 80.0%.The 3-year,5-year,10-year,15-year survival rate were respectively 98.6%,97.3%,97.3%,67.5%,and median survival time was 180 months.Compared to the conditions before administering the medication of ATG/ALG plus KNCM,after 2 weeks,reticulocyte was first improved(P=0.001);one month later,followed by palette(P=0.037);two months later,by neutrophil cell in peripheral blood(P=0.001);three months later,then by the hemoglobin(P=0.012).By conducting 1-year follow-up,1 case of complication-paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria(PNH) was identified and the patient still alive today.CONCLUSION:ATG/ALG plus KNCM had better effect on SAA and could improve patients' survival rate.Xudong Tang Feng Liu Liu Li Chi Liu Shanshan Zhang Haiyan Xiao Chunmei Zheng Shu Xu Rou Ma 2012Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,4:3
20Sensitivity of pollen factors in the climate transfer function显示文摘Constructing a mathematic transfer function of pollen and climatic factors is one of the most important approaches in the quantitative reconstruction of paleoclimate elements.In the function building,the key point is the response sensitivity to the climate change for different pollen families and categories. As an example in this paper,the pollen samples from the surface and stratum in Dajiuhu basin,Shennongjia are used to estimate the sensitivity of pollen factor-temperature in the transfer function by the EOF analysis,multiple regression and stepwise regression techniques.Thereafter,the selection methods of pollen factors are discussed and compared with other results from different researchers. The results show that in the pollen samples,the quantity of woody plants is larger than others,but the woody plants have relatively lower sensitivity and slow responses to the climate evolution and abrupt climate change.While the pollens from lower grade plants(herb and fern)have a relatively high sensi- tivity to the temperature change and fast response to the abrupt climate changes.Therefore,the pollen of herb and fern may significantly record the extreme events in the climate change.Also in different regions,the pollen samples have different sensitivity and optimum combination in the transfer functions.Final conclusion is that the stepwise regression is one of the best methods for transfer function building since it can obtain the maximum multiple correlation coefficients and optimum combination of sensitive pollen factors.CHEN Xing ZHU Cheng MA ChunMei FAN Chao 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,S1:3
