1Thermodynamics and kinetics of phase transformation in rare earth–magnesium alloys:A critical review显示文摘Magnesium and its alloys are significant superior metallic materials for structural components in automobile and aerospace industries due to their excellent physicomechanical properties.The Mg–rare earth(RE)systems have attracted great interests because RE additions can improve both the deformability and the strength of Mg alloys through solid solution strengthening and precipitation hardening mechanisms.This paper focuses on the interface stability,together with thermodynamics and kinetics of nucleation and growth of the key phases and matrix phases in Mg–RE alloys.In this paper,the theory and recent advances on Mg–RE alloys,especially for the interface stability,thermodynamics and kinetics of nucleation and growth of the key phases and matrix phases,together with their relationships with micro-structures,and macroscopic properties,are reviewed.By combining the thermodynamics/kinetics integrated simulations with various advanced experimental techniques,“reverse”design of Mg–RE alloys starting from the target service performance is put forward as a kind of scientific paradigm with rational design.Qun Luo Yanlin Guo Bin Liu Yujun Feng Jieyu Zhang Qian Li Kuochih Chou 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,44,9:26
2Substantial transition to clean household energy mix in rural China显示文摘The household energy mix has significant impacts on human health and climate,as it contributes greatly to many health-and climate-relevant air pollutants.Compared to the well-established urban energy statistical system,the rural household energy statistical system is incomplete and is often associated with high biases.Via a nationwide investigation,this study revealed high contributions to energy supply from coal and biomass fuels in the rural household energy sector,while electricity comprised∼20%.Stacking(the use of multiple sources of energy)is significant,and the average number of energy types was 2.8 per household.Compared to 2012,the consumption of biomass and coals in 2017 decreased by 45%and 12%,respectively,while the gas consumption amount increased by 204%.Increased gas and decreased coal consumptions were mainly in cooking,while decreased biomass was in both cooking(41%)and heating(59%).The time-sharing fraction of electricity and gases(E&G)for daily cooking grew,reaching 69%in 2017,but for space heating,traditional solid fuels were still dominant,with the national average shared fraction of E&G being only 20%.The non-uniform spatial distribution and the non-linear increase in the fraction of E&G indicated challenges to achieving universal access to modern cooking energy by 2030,particularly in less-developed rural and mountainous areas.In some non-typical heating zones,the increased share of E&G for heating was significant and largely driven by income growth,but in typical heating zones,the time-sharing fraction was<5%and was not significantly increased,except in areas with policy intervention.The intervention policy not only led to dramatic increases in the clean energy fraction for heating but also accelerated the clean cooking transition.Higher income,higher education,younger age,less energy/stove stacking and smaller family size positively impacted the clean energy transition.Guofeng Shen Rui Xiong Yanlin Tian Zhihan Luo Bahabaike Jiangtulu Wenjun Meng Wei Du Jing Meng Yuanchen Chen Bing Xue Bin Wang Yonghong Duan Jia Duo Fenggui Fan Lei Huang Tianzhen Ju Fenggui Liu Shunxin Li Xianli Liu Yungui Li Mu Wang Ying Nan Bo Pan Yanfang Pan Lizhi Wang Eddy Zeng Chao Zhan Yilin Chen Huizhong Shen Hefa Cheng Shu Tao 2022National Science Review2022,9,7:4
3Geological controls of shale gas accumulation and enrichment mechanism in Lower Cambrian Niutitang Formation of western Hubei, Middle Yangtze, China显示文摘The lower Cambrian Niutitang Formation is of crucial importance for shale gas target reservoirs in western Hubei,China;however,little work has been done in this field,and its shale gas accumulation and enrichment mechanism are still unclear.Based on survey wells,outcrop data,and large numbers of tests,the geological conditions of shale gas accumulation were studied;moreover,the factors that influence the gas content were thoroughly discussed.The results show that the Niutitang Formation(Є1n)can be divided into three sections:the first section(Є_(1)n^(1)),the second section(Є_(1)n^(2)),and the third section(Є1n3).TheЄ_(1)n^(2) is the main shale gas reservoir.The deep shelf facies is the main sedimentary facies and can be divided into three main lithofacies:argillaceous siltstone,carbonaceous shale and carbonaceous siliceous rock.The total organic carbon(TOC)content shows gentle growth trends until bottom of theЄ_(1)n^(2) and then decreases rapidly within theЄ_(1)n^(1),and the TOC content mainly ranges from 2%to 4%horizontally.The calcite and dolomite dissolution pores,clay intergranular pores and organic pores are the main pore types and the micropore types are clearly related to the mineral compositions and the TOC content.Vertically,the gas content is mainly affected by the TOC content.Horizontally,wells with high gas contents are distributed only southeast of the Huangling anticline,and the combination of structural styles,fault and fracture development,and the distribution of the regional unconformity boundary between the upper Sinian Dengying Formation(Z2d)and theЄ_(1)n^(2) are the three most important factors affecting the gas content.The favorable areas must meet the following conditions:a deep shelf environment,the presence of theЄ_(1)n^(1),wide and gentle folds,far from large normal faults that are more than 5 km,moderate thermal evolution,and greater than 500 m burial depth;this includes the block with the YD2–ZD2 wells,and the block with the Y1 and YD4 wells,which are distributed in the southern portion of the Huangling anticline and northern portion of the Xiannvshan fault.Lulu XU Saipeng HUANG Zaoxue LIU Yaru WEN Xianghui ZHOU Yanlin ZHANG Xiongwei LI Deng WANG Fan LUO Cheng CHEN 2021Frontiers of Earth Science2021,15,2:3
4Interactively Inspection Layers of CT Datasets on CUDA-Based Volume Rendering显示文摘With the fast growing size and dimensionality of scientific datasets, inspection and rendering data features has become an important topic when traversing through it. We propose opacity transfer function with trapezoid shape having an overlapping region to extract different layers when using Compute unified device architecture(CUDA)-based volume ray-casting. We define different tools such as probe for 3D inspection and virtual lenses for 2D inspection of inner layers in Region-ofinterest(ROI). 16Multitask Learning with Multiscale Residual Attention for Brain Tumor Segmentation and Classification显示文摘Automatic segmentation and classification of brain tumors are of great importance to clinical treatment.However,they are challenging due to the varied and small morphology of the tumors.In this paper,we propose a multitask multiscale residual attention network(MMRAN)to simultaneously solve the problem of accurately segmenting and classifying brain tumors.The proposed MMRAN is based on U-Net,and a parallel branch is added at the end of the encoder as the classification network.First,we propose a novel multiscale residual attention module(MRAM)that can aggregate contextual features and combine channel attention and spatial attention better and add it to the shared parameter layer of MMRAN.Second,we propose a method of dynamic weight training that can improve model performance while minimizing the need for multiple experiments to determine the optimal weights for each task.Finally,prior knowledge of brain tumors is added to the postprocessing of segmented images to further improve the segmentation accuracy.We evaluated MMRAN on a brain tumor data set containing meningioma,glioma,and pituitary tumors.In terms of segmentation performance,our method achieves Dice,Hausdorff distance(HD),mean intersection over union(MIoU),and mean pixel accuracy(MPA)values of 80.03%,6.649 mm,84.38%,and 89.41%,respectively.In terms of classification performance,our method achieves accuracy,recall,precision,and F1-score of 89.87%,90.44%,88.56%,and 89.49%,respectively.Compared with other networks,MMRAN performs better in segmentation and classification,which significantly aids medical professionals in brain tumor management.The code and data set are available at http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460as965pwvo6c9pc6o6p.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/linkenfaqiu/MMRAN.Gaoxiang Li Xiao Hui Wenjing Li Yanlin Luo 2023Machine Intelligence Research2023,20,6:0

18cPKCγ Deficiency Exacerbates Autophagy Impairment and Hyperphosphorylated Tau Buildup through the AMPK/mTOR Pathway in Mice with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus(T1DM)-induced cognitive dysfunction is common,but its underlying mechanisms are still poorly understood.In this study,we found that knockout of conventional protein kinase C(cPKC)γsignificantly increased the phosphorylation of Tau at Ser214 and neurofibrillary tangles,but did not affect the activities of GSK-3βand PP2A in the hippocampal neurons of T1DM mice.cPKCγdeficiency significantly decreased the level of autophagy in the hippocampal neurons of T1DM mice.Activation of autophagy greatly alleviated the cognitive impairment induced by cPKCγdeficiency in T1DM mice.Moreover,cPKCγdeficiency reduced the AMPK phosphorylation levels and increased the phosphorylation levels of mTOR in vivo and in vitro.The high glucose-induced Tau phosphorylation at Ser214 was further increased by the autophagy inhibitor and was significantly decreased by an mTOR inhibitor.In conclusion,these results indicated that cPKCγpromotes autophagy through the AMPK/mTOR signaling pathway,thus reducing the level of phosphorylated Tau at Ser214 and neurofibrillary tangles.Jiayin Zheng Yue Wang Yue Liu Song Han Ying Zhang Yanlin Luo Yi Yan Junfa Li Li Zhao 2022Neuroscience Bulletin2022,38,10:0
19The suppression of cervical cancer ferroptosis by macrophages:The attenuation of ALOX15 in cancer cells by macrophages-derived exosomes显示文摘Induction of cancer cell ferroptosis has been proposed as a potential treatment in several cancer types.Tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs)play a key role in promoting tumor malignant progression and therapy resistance.However,the roles and mechanisms of TAMs in regulating tumor ferroptosis is still unexplored and remains enigmatic.This study shows ferroptosis inducers has shown therapeutic outcomes in cervical cancer in vitro and in vivo.TAMs have been found to suppress cervical cancer cells ferroptosis.Mechanistically,macrophage-derived miRNA-660-5p packaged into exosomes are transported into cancer cells.In cancer cells,miRNA-660-5p attenuates ALOX15 expression to inhibit ferroptosis.Moreover,the upregulation of miRNA-660-5p in macrophages depends on autocrine IL4/IL13-activated STAT6 pathway.Importantly,in clinical cervical cancer cases,ALOX15 is negatively associated with macrophages infiltration,which also raises the possibility that macrophages reduce ALOX15 levels in cervical cancer.Moreover,both univariate and multivariate Cox analyses show ALOX15 expression is independent prognostic factor and positively associated with good prognosis in cervical cancer.Altogether,this study reveals the potential utility of targeting TAMs in ferroptosis-based treatment and ALOX15 as prognosis indicators for cervical cancer.Yanlin Luo Yibing Chen Huan Jin Benxin Hou Hongsheng Li Xiang Li Lingfeng Liu Yuan Zhou Yonghua Li Yong Sang Song Quentin Liu Zhengzhi Zou 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,6:0
