| 1 | Reactive dividing wall column for hydrolysis of methyl acetate:Design and control显示文摘Reactive distillation and dividing wall column distillation are two kinds of effective separation technologies,and their integrated configuration,reactive dividing wall column(RDWC),presents attractive advantages.In this study,the rigorous simulation of RDWC for methyl acetate hydrolysis is performed,and sensitivity analysis is conducted to obtain the minimum reboiler duty.Then a comparison is made between the conventional process and RDWC process,and it shows that 20.1% energy savings can be achieved by RDWC process.In addition,the dynamic characteristic of RDWC is studied and an effective control strategy is proposed.The simple PI control scheme with three temperature loops can obtain reasonable control performance and maintain products at desired purities.It is proved that this RDWC process is an energy efficiency alternative with good controllability. | Lumin Li Lanyi Sun Delian Yang Wang Zhong Yi Zhu Yuanyu Tian | 2016 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2016,24,10: | 11 |
| 2 | Community structure of β-Proteobacterial ammonia-oxidizing bacteria in prawn farm sediment显示文摘To examine the community structure of b-Proteobacterial ammonia-oxidizing bacteria(AOB)in prawn farm sediment,the 16S rRNA gene library was constructed with b-Proteobacterial AOB-specific primers.The library was screened by PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism(RFLP)analysis and clones with unique RFLP patterns were sequenced.Two groups of b-Proteobacterial AOB,the Nitr-osomonas and the Nitrosospira,were detected.The Nitrosomonas occupied an absolute dominant position,accounting for more than 90% of total clones in the clone library,while the Nitrosospira accounting for 5.48%.Nitrosomonas-aliated clones were grouped into the Nitrosomonas marina and the Nitrosomonas sp.Nm143 clusters,and Nitrosospira-aliated clones were grouped into the Nitrosospira cluster 1.No other clusters of b-Proteobacterial AOB were found.The results enriched our knowledge of AOB diversity in the prawn farm sediment and provided important foundational data for further functional studies of these microbes in mariculture environments. | Ying Ma Lin Wang Lumin Qian | 2008 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2008,18,6: | 7 |
| 3 | Applicability and Generality of the Modified Grübler-Kutzbach Criterion显示文摘A generally applicable criterion for all mechanism mobility has been an active domain in mechanism theory lasting more than 150 years. It is stated that the Modified Grübler-Kutzbach criterion for mobility has been successfully used to solve the mobility of many more kinds of mechanisms, but never before has anyone proven the applicability and generality of the Modified Grübler-Kutzbach criterion in theory. In order to fill the gap, the applicability and generality of the Modified Grübler-Kutzbach Criterion of mechanism mobility is systematically demonstrated. Firstly, the mobility research background and the Modified Grübler-Kutzbach criterion are introduced. Secondly, some new definitions, such as half local freedom, non-common constraint space of a mechanism and common motion space of a mechanism, etc, are given to demonstrate the correctness and broad applicability of the Modified Grübler-Kutzbach criterion. Thirdly, the general applicability of the Modified Grübler-Kutzbach criterion is demonstrated based on screw theory. | 6 | Isolation and Neuroprotective Activity of Phenolic Derivatives from the Marine-Derived Fungus Penicillium janthinellum显示文摘A new phenolic compound, 6-(2-acetyl-3,5-dihydroxybenzyl)-4-hydroxy-3-methyl-2H-pyran-2-one(1), along with other six known phenolic derivatives(2-7), were isolated from the mangrove rhizosphere fungus Penicillium janthinellum HK1-6 cultured in potato dextrose broth medium containing 30 g L^(-1) of natural sea salt. The structure of the new compound(1) was elucidated by comprehensive analysis of spectroscopic data including 1D and 2D NMR spectra. The proposed biosynthetic pathway of compound 1 was also studied in this research. Interestingly, a brominated phenolic derivative, aryl bromide(compound 8), was obtained from this fungal strain cultured in medium containing 30 g L^-1 of NaBr instead of natural sea salt. Compound 8 is proposed as a new natural product and formed through bromination of compound 7 when the fungus was cultured with NaBr. The neuroprotective effect of compound 1 on oxygen-glucose deprivation(OGD)-induced injury was investigated in rat spinal cord astrocytes. | 7 | Electroacupuncture stimulation of the brachial plexus trunk on the healthy side promotes brain-derived neurotrophic factor mRNA expression in the ischemic cerebral cortex of a rat model of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury显示文摘A rat model of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion was established by suture occlusion of the left middle cerebral artery. In situ hybridization results showed that the number of brain-derived neurotrophic factor mRNA-positive cells in the ischemic rat cerebral cortex increased after cerebral ischemia/ reperfusion injury. Low frequency continuous wave electroacupuncture (frequency 2-6 Hz, current intensity 2 mA) stimulation of the brachial plexus trunk on the healthy (right) side increased the number of brain-derived neurotrophic factor mRNA-positive cells in the ischemic cerebral cortex 14 days after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury. At the same time, electroacupuncture stimulation of the healthy brachial plexus truck significantly decreased neurological function scores and alleviated neurological function deficits. | 9 | Degradability evaluation for natural material fibre used on fish aggregation devices(FADs)in tuna purse seine fishery显示文摘Purse seiners deploy large amounts of drifting fish aggregation devices(FADs)in all tropical oceans to catch tunas.These FADs are constructed with porous synthetic fibre netting,which are responsible for incidental mortality of sea turtles and sharks through entanglement,and can engage in ghost fishing if they are lost and abandoned.The use of natural or biodegradable materials to build FADs can effectively mitigate marine pollution and bycatch issues,and as such they are currently promoted by fisheries management organizations.This study evaluated the degradability of ropes made of common natural fibres;cotton rope(3-strand,96-thread,twisted,S-lay),jute rope(3-strand,13-thread,twisted,Z-lay)and sisal rope(3-strand,8-thread,twisted,Z-lay).Degradability was evaluated by measuring the breaking strength(cN/dtex)and retention ratio of rupture elongation.Results showed that jute rope and sisal rope experienced rapid reduction of strength which over the first month soaking in the sea fell by 66.8%and 46.9%,respectively.Cotton rope exhibited the most inert degradation behavior,with breaking strength maintained at half of the initial value at 10 months.The retention ratio of rupture elongation for jute ropes and sisal ropes fluctuated considerably in the following months after deployment,compared to the relatively stable change for cotton rope.Results suggested that among these congeners,cotton rope would be most preferable component for Bio-FADs with a 10-month minimum durability that matches the required lifetime of FAD fishing strategies. | Yucheng Wang Cheng Zhou Liuxiong Xu Rong Wan Jiangao Shi Xuefang Wang Hao Tang Lumin Wang Wenwen Yu Kai Wang | 2021 | Aquaculture and Fisheries2021,6,4: | 1 |
| 10 | Ultra-thin CoAl layered double hydroxide nanosheets for the construction of highly sensitive and selective QCM humidity sensor显示文摘To achieve real-time monitoring of humidity in various applications,we prepared facile and ultra-thin CoAl layered double hydroxide(CoAl LDH)nanosheets to engineer quartz crystal microbalances(QCM).The characteristics of CoAl LDH were investigated by transmission electron microscopy(TEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray photoelectric spectroscopy(XPS),Brunauer–Emmett–Telle(BET),atomic force microscopy(AFM)and zeta potential.Due to their large specific surface area and abundant hydroxyl groups,CoAl LDH nanosheets exhibit good humidity sensing performance.In a range of 11.3%and 97.6%relative humidity(RH),the sensor behaved an ultrahigh sensitivity(127.8 Hz/%RH),fast response(9.1 s)and recovery time(3.1 s),low hysteresis(3.1%RH),good linearity(R^(2)=0.9993),stability and selectivity.Besides,the sensor can recover the initial response frequency after being wetted by deionized water,revealing superior self-recovery ability under high humidity.Based on in-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),the adsorption mechanism of CoAl LDH toward water molecules was explored.The QCM sensor can distinguish different respiratory states of people and wetting degree of fingers,as well as monitor the humidity in vegetable packaging,suggesting excellent properties and a promising application in humidity sensing. | Yongheng Zhu Xuhua Dong Jinsheng Cheng Lumin Wang Cheng Zhao Yonghui Deng Siqi Xie Yingjie Pan Yong Zhao Gengzhi Sun Tianjun Ni | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,8: | 1 |

| 20 | Charged particles:Unique tools to study irradiation resistance of concentrated solid solution alloys显示文摘Many multicomponent concentrated solid solution alloys(CSAs),including high-entropy alloys(HEAs),exhibit improved radiation resistance and enhanced structural stability in harsh environments.To study and assess irradiation resistance of nuclear materials,energetic ion and electron beams are commonly used to create displacement damage.Moreover,charged particles of ions,electrons,and positrons are unique tools to create and characterize radiation effects.Ion beam analysis(e.g.,Rutherford backscattering spectrometry,nuclear reaction analysis,and time-of-flight elastic recoil detection analysis),electron microscopy techniques(e.g.,transmission or scanning electron microscopy,and electron diffraction),and positron annihilation spectroscopy have been applied to characterize irradiated CSAs or HEAs to understand defect formation and evolution together with chemical and microstructural information.Their distinctive analyzing power and some perspectives in these techniques are reviewed.In developing structural alloys desirable for applications in advanced reactors,neutron exposure is a critical test but the limitation in achievable high damage levels is,however,a bottleneck.Ion irradiation is often used as a surrogate for neutron irradiation,and the associated reduced transmutations and higher displacements per atom(dpa)rates are desirable for materials research.Nevertheless,cautions need to be taken when relying on ion irradiation results for reactor evaluations.Literature on differences between ions and neutrons is briefly reviewed.In addition,the links to bridge the current advances on fundamental understandings to reactor applications are discussed to lay the groundwork between neutrons and ions for radiation effects studies. | Yanwen Zhang Lumin Wang William J.Weber | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,9: | 0 |
