2Cerium dioxide as a new reactive sorbent for fast degradation of parathion methyl and some other organophosphates显示文摘Cerium dioxide was used for the first time as reactive sorbent for the degradation of the organophosphate pesticides parathion methyl,chlorpyrifos,dichlofenthion,fenchlorphos,and prothiofos,as well as of some chemical warfare agents—nerve gases soman and O-ethyl S-[2-(diisopropylamino) ethyl] methylphosphonothioate(VX).CeO2 specimens were prepared by calcination of basic cerous carbonate obtained by precipitation from an aqueous solution.The CeO2 samples containing certain amounts(1 wt.%–5 wt.%) of the neighboring lanthanides(La,Pr,Nd) were prepared in a similar way from pure lanthanide salts.It was shown that ceria accelerated markedly the decomposition of parathion methyl causing the cleavage of the P-O-aryl bond in the pesticide molecule.A similar reaction mechanism was proposed for the degradation of other organophosphate pesticides and nerve agents.The degradation times(reaction half-times) were in an order of minutes in the presence of CeO2,compared to hours or days under common environmental conditions.The reaction in suitable organic solvents allowed conversions of about 90% for parathion methyl loading of 20 mg pesticide/g CeO2 within 2 h with a reactant half-life in the order of 0.1 min.The key parameter governing the degradation efficiency of CeO2 was the temperature during calcination.At optimum calcination temperature(about 773.15 K),the produced ceria retained a sufficiently high surface area,and attained an optimum degree of crystallinity(related to a number of crystal defects,and thus potential reactive sites).The presence of other lanthanides somewhat decreased the reaction rate,but this effect was not detrimental and permitted the possible use of chemically impure ceria as a reactive sorbent.A fast organophosphate degradation was demonstrated not only in non-polar solvents(such as heptane),but also in polar aprotic solvents(acetonitrile,acetone) that are miscible with water.This opens new possibilities for designing more versatile decontamination strategies.The cleavage of phosphate ester bonds is of a great importance not only for the degradation of dangerous chemicals(chemical weapons,pesticides),but also for interactions of ceria(especially the nano-sized one) in biologically relevant systems.Pavel Janos Pavel Kuran Martin Kormunda Vaclav Stengl Tomas Matys Grygar Marek Dosek Martin Stastny Jakub Ederer Vera Pilarova Lubos Vrtoch 2014Journal of Rare Earths2014,32,4:4
3Instantaneous Frequency Estimation Based on the Wigner-Ville Distribution Associated with Linear Canonical Transform(WDL)显示文摘The Instantaneous frequency(IF) is a basic concept in theory and application of signal processing. Wigner-Ville distribution(WVD) is a powerful tool in IF estimation, but it is sensitive to the noise. The Linear canonical transform(LCT) has been proved to be very powerful for non-stationary signal processing. A new definition of Wigner-Ville distribution associated with the linear canonical transform(WDL) has been put forward. In this case, this paper proposes a new IF estimation method which is suitable for processing non-stationary signals. This new method is useful in IF estimation. 4In Vitro Skin Permeation of Osthol from Hydro-Alcohofic Gel Formulations显示文摘Aim To evaluate the in vitro percutaneous absorption behavior of osthol from a series of hydro-alcoholic gel formulations containing three penetration enhancers through excised human skin (stratum cormeum and epidermis,SCE). Methods Excised human skin was mounted in Franz-type diffusion cells. The samples withdrawn from the receptor cell were analyzed for osthol content by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Results The enhancers azone, menthol and chenopodium increased the osthol percutaneous steady-state fluxes 3.12, 2.00 and 1.25 times those of the enhancer-free formulations (controls), separately. 5Manipulating Bloch surface waves in 2D: a platform concept-based flat lens显示文摘At the end of the 1970s,it was confirmed that dielectric multilayers can sustain Bloch surface waves(BSWs).However,BSWs were not widely studied until more recently.Taking advantage of their high-quality factor,sensing applications have focused on BSWs.Thus far,no work has been performed to manipulate and control the natural surface propagations in terms of defined functions with two-dimensional(2D)components,targeting the realization of a 2D system.In this study,we demonstrate that 2D photonic components can be implemented by coating an in-plane shaped ultrathin(l/15)polymer layer on the dielectric multilayer.The presence of the polymer modifies the local effective refractive index,enabling direct manipulation of the BSW.By locally shaping the geometries of the 2D components,the BSW can be deflected,diffracted,focused and coupled with 2D freedom.Enabling BSW manipulation in 2D,the dielectric multilayer can play a new role as a robust platform for 2D optics,which can pave the way for integration in photonic chips.Multiheterodyne near-field measurements are used to study light propagation through micro-and nano-optical components.We demonstrate that a lens-shaped polymer layer can be considered as a 2D component based on the agreement between near-field measurements and theoretical calculations.Both the focal shift and the resolution of a 2D BSW lens are measured for the first time.The proposed platform enables the design of 2D all-optical integrated systems,which have numerous potential applications,including molecular sensing and photonic circuits.Libo Yu Elsie Barakat Tristan Sfez Lubos Hvozdara Joab Di Francesco Hans Peter Herzig 2014Light(Science & Applications)2014,3,1:3
6Leaf chlorophyll and nitrogen dynamics and their relationship to lowland rice yield for site-specific paddy management显示文摘The optimum rate and application timing of Nitrogen(N)fertilizer are crucial in achieving a high yield in rice cultivation;however,conventional laboratory testing of plant nutrients is time-consuming and expensive.To develop a site-specific spatial variable rate application method to overcome the limitations of traditional techniques,especially in fields under a double-cropping system,this study focused on the relationship between Soil Plant Analysis Development(SPAD)chlorophyll meter readings and N content in leaves during different growth stages to introduce the most suitable stage for assessment of crop N and prediction of rice yield.The SPAD readings and leaf N content were measured on the uppermost fully expanded leaf at panicle formation and booting stages.Grain yield was also measured at the end of the season.The analysis of variance,variogram,and kriging were calculated to determine the variability of attributes and their relationship,and finally,variability maps were created.Significant linear relationships were observed between attributes,with the same trends in different sampling dates;however,accuracy of semivariance estimation reduces with the growth stage.Results of the study also implied that there was a better relationship between rice leaf N content(R^2=0.93),as well as yield(R2=0.81),with SPAD readings at the panicle formation stage.Therefore,the SPAD-based evaluation of N status and prediction of rice yield is more reliable on this stage rather than at the booting stage.This study proved that the application of SPAD chlorophyll meter paves the way for real-time paddy N management and grain yield estimation.It can be reliably exploited in precision agriculture of paddy fields under double-cropping cultivation to understand and control spatial variations.Asa Gholizadeh Mohammadmehdi Saberioon Lubos Boruvka Aimrun Wayayok Mohd Amin Mohd Soom 2017Information Processing in Agriculture2017,4,4:3
7一种新型筒子纱硬度测试方法及其应用显示文摘筒子纱进行染色时,对筒子纱质量要求严格,筒子纱密度的均匀性在很大程度上影响着染色质量。介绍了一种新型的筒子纱硬度测试仪器及使用方法,并利用该仪器探究了筒子纱内部硬度分布情况,各层纱线硬度与纱线机械性能的关系,及筒子纱硬度与密度的关系。结果表明:筒子纱内部硬度与纱线的机械性能没有必然联系,筒子纱的断裂强力和断裂伸长主要取决于纱线的条干。筒子纱各层硬度与密度之间有一定联系,越往里层,硬度和密度均呈递增趋势。通过对比筒子纱与管纱的机械性能,得知络筒工序在一定程度上使得纱线条干恶化,强力不匀率增加。江珊 凌文漪 Lubo Hes 曹根阳 2015上海纺织科技2015,43,10:3
8Development and Characterization of Eco-Friendly Non-Isocyanate Urethane Monomer from Jatropha curcas Oil for Wood Composite Applications显示文摘The aim of this research work was to evaluate the potential of using renewable natural feedstock,i.e.,Jatropha curcas oil(JCO)for the synthesis of non-isocyanate polyurethane(NIPU)resin for wood composite applications.Commercial polyurethane(PU)is synthesized through a polycondensation reaction between isocyanate and poly-ol.However,utilizing toxic and unsustainable isocyanates for obtaining PU could contribute to negative impacts on the environment and human health.Therefore,the development of PU from eco-friendly and sustainable resources without the isocyanate route is required.In this work,tetra-n-butyl ammonium bromide was used as the activator to open the epoxy ring with 3-Aminopropyltriethoxisylane as a catalyst to yield urethane of JCO(UJCO).The UJCO were characterized by Fourier Transform Infra-Red spectroscopy(FTIR)and their oxirane,and hydroxyl values were measured.The result showed that a decrease in oxirane value was found while the hydroxyl value was increased during the time,confirming that the urethane group was formed.The presence of functional groups in FTIR spectra at wave numbers 1732.08,1562.34,and 3348.42 cm^(−1) indicates the functional groups of C=O(urethane carbonyl),–NH,and–OH,respectively confirmed this finding.The potential applications of NIPU in the wood composite were also outlined.Samsul Bhakri Muhammad Ghozali Edy Cahyono Evi Triwulandari Witta Kartika Restu Nissa Nurfajrin Solihat Apri Heri Iswanto Petar Antov Viktor Savov Lee Seng Hua ErikaAyu Agustiany Lubos Kristak Widya Fatriasari 2023Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,1:2

10A Physical Simulation Test for the RockBurst in Tunnels显示文摘According to the test results of the physical and mechanical properties of similar materials in various quality mixture, a type of material with obvious tendency of rockburst was selected to produce a large-size model to simulate rockburst phenomena in tunnels. The prototype model comes from a typical section of diversion tunnels in Jinping Hydropower Station in China. The simulation of excavating tunnels is carried out by opening a hole in the model after loading. The modeling results indicated that under the condition of normal stresses in the model boundaries the arch top, spandrel and side walls of the tunnel produced an obvious jump reaction of stress and strain and the acoustic emission counts of the surrounding rock also increased rapidly in a different time period after the 'tunnel' excavation, showing the clear features of rockburst. The spalling, buckling and breaking occurred in the surrounding rock of model in conditions of over loading.
