| 2 | Potential Deformation and Its Application to the Diagnosis of Heavy Precipitation in Mesoscale Convective Systems显示文摘Many observational studies have shown that deformation, like vertical vorticity and divergence, is closely related to the occurrence and distribution of strong precipitation. In this paper, to involve deformation in precipitation diagnosis, a new parameter called potential deformation(PD) is derived and then applied to precipitation detection within a simulated mesoscale convective system(MCS). It is shown that PD includes both stretching deformation and shearing deformation and shares similar characteristics with deformation insofar as it does not change with the rotating coordinate. Diagnosis of the simulated MCS reveals that PD performs well in tracing the MCS' precipitation. In terms of their distributional pattern, the large-value areas of PD are similar to the precipitation in the different development stages of the MCS. A detailed analysis of the physical processes contained within the PD shows that it can reflect the three-dimensional moisture variation,vertical wind shear and wind deformation within the MCS. These structures are usually a comprehensive reflection of the characteristics of the surface cold pool, rear inflow jet, downward cold air flow and upward warm moist flow within the precipitating convective cells. | 4 | CCGD-ESCC: A Comprehensive Database for Genetic Variants Associated with Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma in Chinese Population显示文摘Esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma(ESCC) is one of the most lethal malignancies in the world and occurs at particularly higher frequency in China. While several genome-wide association studies(GWAS) of germline variants and whole-genome or whole-exome sequencing studies of somatic mutations in ESCC have been published, there is no comprehensive database publically available for this cancer. Here, we developed the Chinese Cancer Genomic Database-Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma(CCGD-ESCC) database, which contains the associations of 69,593 single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) with ESCC risk in 2022 cases and 2039 controls, survival time of 1006 ESCC patients(survival GWAS) and gene expression(expression quantitative trait loci,eQTL) in 94 ESCC patients. Moreover, this database also provides the associations between8833 somatic mutations and survival time in 675 ESCC patients. Our user-friendly database is a resource useful for biologists and oncologists not only in identifying the associations of genetic variants or somatic mutations with the development and progression of ESCC but also in studying the underlying mechanisms for tumorigenesis of the cancer. | 5 | Age-related changes of senescence-accelerated mouse prone 10 (SAMP10) mice as an animal model for AD显示文摘Background: To explore the influence of age-related changes in learning and memory capacity of SAMP10, an Alzheimer's disease (AD) model mice, and provide theoretical foundation for the selection of month age in related experiment. Methods: SAMP10 female mice with the age of 3, 6 and 9 months were used as the objects of experiment, while the age-matched female SAMR1 were used as the controls, with 12 in each group. The learning memory capacity of mice at different age was detected through Morris water maze and step-down passive avoidance test;meanwhile, the acetylcholine, acetylcholinesterase, choline acetyltransferase, and M-cholinergic receptor binding capacity levels were determined to detect the cholinergic system damage degree in mice with different month age. In addition, the contents of monoamine neurotransmitters such as dopamine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenyl acetic acid, homovanillic acid, norepinephrine and 5-HT, as well as those of amino acid transmitters such as glutamic acid, glutamine, aspartic acid,γ-aminobutyric acid, taurine and glycine in the brain cortex were detected by high performance liquid chromatography-electrochemical deposition. Besides, changes in hippocampal neurons were observed through Nissl staining, and the changes of Aβ in hippocampal CA1 and CA2 regions of SAMP10 were also detected by immunohistochemistry so as to explore the effects of age on the memory capacity of SAMP10. Results: It was discovered in the behavior test and AD-related index tests that: there was no significant difference between the age-matched SAMR1 and the SAMP10 at the age of 3 and 6 months. But the 9-months-old mice suffered remarkable senescence characteristics, including obviously declined learning memory capacity;down-regulated neurotransmitter levels, enzyme activities and amino acid expression;reduced hippocampal neuron number;and increased deposition of hippocampal Aβ protein. Conclusion: It is discovered in this study through behavior tests and AD-related indexs detection that, the learning memory capacity of SAMP10 shows age-dependence, which is gradually decreased with the increase of age, and the 9-months-old mice have developed marked memory impairment and senescence characteristics. | 7 | Adaptive Optimal Output Regulation of Interconnected Singularly Perturbed Systems With Application to Power Systems显示文摘This article studies the adaptive optimal output regulation problem for a class of interconnected singularly perturbed systems(SPSs) with unknown dynamics based on reinforcement learning(RL).Taking into account the slow and fast characteristics among system states,the interconnected SPS is decomposed into the slow time-scale dynamics and the fast timescale dynamics through singular perturbation theory.For the fast time-scale dynamics with interconnections,we devise a decentralized optimal control strategy by selecting appropriate weight matrices in the cost function.For the slow time-scale dynamics with unknown system parameters,an off-policy RL algorithm with convergence guarantee is given to learn the optimal control strategy in terms of measurement data.By combining the slow and fast controllers,we establish the composite decentralized adaptive optimal output regulator,and rigorously analyze the stability and optimality of the closed-loop system.The proposed decomposition design not only bypasses the numerical stiffness but also alleviates the high-dimensionality.The efficacy of the proposed methodology is validated by a load-frequency control application of a two-area power system. | Jianguo Zhao Chunyu Yang Weinan Gao Linna Zhou Xiaomin Liu | 2024 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2024,11,3: | 0 |

| 11 | Interfacial modification using the cross-linkable tannic acid for highly-efficient perovskite solar cells with excellent stability显示文摘Although the performance of perovskite solar cells(PSCs)has been dramatically increased in recent years,stability is still the main obstacle preventing the PSCs from being commercial.PSC device instability can be caused by a variety of reasons,including ions diffusion,surface and grain boundary defects,etc.In this work,the cross-linkable tannic acid(TA)is introduced to modify perovskite film through post-treatment method.The numerous organic functional groups(–OH and C=O)in TA can interact with the uncoordinated Pb^(2+)and I^(-)ions in perovskite,thus passivating defects and inhibiting ions diffusion.In addition,the formed TA network can absorb a small amount of the residual moisture inside the device to protect the perovskite layer.Furthermore,TA modification regulates the energy level of perovskite,and reduces interfacial charge recombination.Ultimately,following TA treatment,the device efficiency is increased significantly from 21.31%to 23.11%,with a decreased hysteresis effect.Notably,the treated device shows excellent air,thermal,and operational stability.In light of this,the readily available,inexpensive TA has the potential to operate as a multipurpose interfacial modifier to increase device efficiency while also enhancing device stability. | Xing Gao Lirong Rong Fei Wu Yen-Hung Lin Ye Zeng Junhong Tan Rongxing He Cheng Zhong Linna Zhu | 2024 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2024,91,4: | 0 |
