1Assessing the Dynamics of Grassland Net Primary Productivity in Response to Climate Change at the Global Scale显示文摘Understanding the net primary productivity(NPP) of grassland is crucial to evaluate the terrestrial carbon cycle. In this study, we investigated the spatial distribution and the area of global grassland across the globe. Then, we used the Carnegie-Ames-Stanford Approach(CASA) model to estimate global grassland NPP and explore the spatio-temporal variations of grassland NPP in response to climate change from 1982 to 2008. Results showed that the largest area of grassland distribution during the study period was in Asia(1737.23 × 104 km^2), while the grassland area in Europe was relatively small(202.83 × 10~4 km^2). Temporally, the total NPP increased with fluctuations from 1982 to 2008, with an annual increase rate of 0.03 Pg C/yr. The total NPP experienced a significant increasing trend from 1982 to 1995, while a decreasing trend was observed from 1996 to 2008. Spatially, the grassland NPP in South America and Africa were higher than the other regions, largely as a result of these regions are under warm and wet climatic conditions. The highest mean NPP was recorded for savannas(560.10 g C/(m^2·yr)), whereas the lowest was observed in open shrublands with an average NPP of 162.53 g C/(m^2·yr). 3Uplink resource allocation in OFDMA system using distributed antennas显示文摘In this article,we investigate uplink resource allocation in orthogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDMA)systems that use distributed antennas.The multiple distributed receiving antennas motivate us to exploit the spatial diversity to maximize the achievable rate of the system.Given constraints on the subcarrier allocation and the power limit of each user equipment(UE),a mixed-integer optimization problem is formulated.We frst propose a centralized greedy algorithm to fnd the maximum achievable rate of the system.Then a heuristic algorithm is proposed that can be implemented in a distributed manner.Simulation results show that the heuristic algorithm can approximately achieve the maximum achievable rate of the system and result in signifcant system performance improvement over the approach assigning one user to each subcarrier.YAN JiLei LI JianDong ZHAO LinJing SHI Hua 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,12:1

5The SMAD2/miR-4256/HDAC5/p16^(INK4a) signaling axis contributes to gastric cancer progression显示文摘The dysregulation of exosomal microRNAs(miRNAs)plays a crucial role in the development and progression of cancer.This study investigated the role of a newly identified serum exosomal miRNA miR-4256 in gastric cancer(GC)and the underlying mechanisms.The differentially expressed miRNAs were firstly identified in serum exosomes of GC patients and healthy individuals using next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics.Next,the expression of serum exosomal miR-4256 was analyzed in GC cells and GC tissues,and the role of miR-4256 in GC was investigated by in vitro and in vivo experiments.Then,the effect of miR-4256 on its downstream target genes HDAC5/p16^(INK4a) was studied in GC cells,and the underlying mechanisms were evaluated using dual luciferase reporter assay and Chromatin Immunoprecipitation(ChIP).Additionally,the role of the miR-4256/HDAC5/p16^(INK4a) axis in GC was studied using in vitro and in vivo experiments.Finally,the upstream regulators SMAD2/p300 that regulate miR-4256 expression and their role in GC were explored using in vitro experiments.miR-4256 was the most significantly upregulated miRNA and was overexpressed in GC cell lines and GC tissues;in vitro and in vivo results showed that miR-4256 promoted GC growth and progression.Mechanistically,miR-4256 enhanced HDAC5 expression by targeting the promoter of the HDAC5 gene in GC cells,and then restrained the expression of p16^(INK4a) through the epigenetic modulation of HDAC5 at the p16INK4a promoter.Furthermore,miR-4256 overexpression was positively regulated by the SMAD2/p300 complex in GC cells.Our data indicate that miR-4256 functions as an oncogene in GC via the SMAD2/miR-4256/HDAC5/p16^(INK4a) axis,which participates in GC progression and provides novel therapeutic and prognostic biomarkers for GC.MIN WANG HAILIANG ZHAO WEIWEI CHEN CAIQUN BIE JINYING YANG WENRUI CAI CHUTIAN WU YANFANG CHEN SHUFEN FENG YING SHI YUTING LI HUIJUN TANG LIXIAN ZHONG LILIANGZI GUO SISI CHEN LINJING LONG SHAOHUI TANG 2023Oncology Research2023,31,4:0
6Bibliometric landscape of the researches on protein corona of nanoparticles显示文摘Unclear biological fate hampers the clinical translation of nanoparticles for biomedical uses.In recent years,it is documented that the formation of protein corona upon nanoparticles is a critical factor leading to the ambiguous biological fate.Efforts have been made to explore the protein corona forming behaviors on nanoparticles,and rearrangement of the relevant studies will help to understand the current trend of such a topic.In this work,the publications about protein corona of nanoparticles in Science Citation Index Expanded database of Web of Science from 2007 to 2020(1417 in total)were analyzed in detail,and the bibliometrics landscape of them was showcased.The basic bibliometrics characteristics were summarized to provide an overall understanding.Citation analysis was performed to scrutinize the peer interests of these papers.The research hotspots in the field were evaluated,based on which some feasible topics for future studies were proposed.In general,the results demonstrated that protein corona of nanoparticles was a prospective research area,and had attracted global research interests.It was believed that this work could comprehensively highlight the bibliometrics landscape,inspire further exploitation on protein corona of nanoparticles,and ultimately promote the clinical translation of nanoparticles.Zhengwei HUANG Fangqin FU Linjing WU Wenhao WANG Wenhua WANG Chaonan SHI Ying HUANG Xin PAN Chuanbin WU 2021Frontiers of Materials Science2021,15,4:0

8Intranasal booster using an Omicron vaccine confers broad mucosal and systemic immunity against SARS-CoV-2 variants显示文摘The highly contagious SARS-CoV-2 Omicron subvariants severely attenuated the effectiveness of currently licensed SARS-CoV-2 vaccines based on ancestral strains administered via intramuscular injection.In this study,we generated a recombinant,replication-incompetent human adenovirus type 5,Ad5-S-Omicron,that expresses Omicron BA.1 spike.Intranasal,but not intramuscular vaccination,elicited spike-specific respiratory mucosal IgA and residential T cell immune responses,in addition to systemic neutralizing antibodies and T cell immune responses against most Omicron subvariants.We tested intranasal Ad5-S-Omicron as a heterologous booster in mice that previously received intramuscular injection of inactivated ancestral vaccine.In addition to inducing serum broadly neutralizing antibodies,there was a significant induction of respiratory mucosal IgA and neutralizing activities against Omicron subvariants BA.1,BA.2,BA.5,BA.2.75,BF.7 as well as pre-Omicron strains Wildtype,Beta,and Delta.Serum and mucosal neutralizing activities against recently emerged XBB,BQ.1,and BQ.1.1 could also be detected but were much lower.Nasal lavage fluids from intranasal vaccination contained multimeric IgA that can bind to at least 10 spike proteins,including Omicron subvariants and pre-Omicron strains,and possessed broadly neutralizing activities.Intranasal vaccination using Ad5-S-Omicron or instillation of intranasal vaccinee’s nasal lavage fluids in mouse nostrils protected mice against Omicron challenge.Taken together,intranasal Ad5-S-Omicron booster on the basis of ancestral vaccines can establish effective mucosal and systemic immunity against Omicron subvariants and multiple SARS-CoV-2 variants.This candidate vaccine warrants further development as a safe,effective,and user-friendly infection and transmission-blocking vaccine.Qian Wang Chenchen Yang Li Yin Jing Sun Wei Wang Hengchun Li Zhengyuan Zhang Si Chen Bo Liu Zijian Liu Linjing Shi Xiaolin Liu Suhua Guan Chunhua Wang Linbing Qu Ying Feng Xuefeng Niu Liqiang Feng Jincun Zhao Pingchao Li Ling Chen Nanshan Zhong 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,5:0
