| 4 | Efficient CO_2 capture on low-cost silica gel modified by polyethyleneimine显示文摘In this work,a series of polyethyleneimine(PEI) functionalized commercial silica gel were prepared by wet impregnation method and used as CO 2 sorbent.The as-prepared sorbents were characterized by N 2 adsorption,FT-IR and SEM techniques.CO 2 capture was tested in a fixed bed reactor using a simulated flue gas containing 15.1% CO 2 in a temperature range of 25-100 C.The effects of sorption temperature and amine content on CO 2 uptake of the adsorbents were investigated.The silica gel with a 30 wt% PEI loading manifested the largest CO 2 uptake of 93.4 mg CO 2 /g adsorbent(equal to 311.3 mg CO 2 /g PEI) among the tested sorbents under the conditions of 15.1%(v/v) CO 2 in N 2 at 75 C and atmospheric pressure.Moreover,it was rather low-cost.In addition,the PEI-impregnated silica gel exhibited stable adsorption-desorption behavior during 5 consecutive test cycles.These results suggest that the PEI-impregnated silica gel is a promising and cost-effective sorbent for CO 2 capture from flue gas and other stationary sources with low CO 2 concentration. | Ke Wang Hongyan Shang Lin Li Xinlong Yan Zifeng Yan Chenguang Liu Qingfang Zha | 2012 | Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,3: | 4 |

| 8 | A PtrLBD39-mediated transcriptional network regulates tension wood formation in Populus trichocarpa显示文摘Tension wood(TW)is a specialized xylem tissue formed in angiosperm trees under gravitational stimulus or mechanical stresses(e.g.,bending).The genetic regulation that underlies this important mechanism remains poorly understood.Here,we used laser capture microdissection of stem xylem cells coupled with full transcriptome RNA-sequencing to analyze TW formation in Populus trichocarpa.After tree bending,PtrLBD39 was the most significantly induced transcription factor gene;it has a phylogenetically paired homolog,PtrLBD22.CRISPR-based knockout of PtrLBD39/22 severely inhibited TW formation,reducing cellulose and increasing lignin content.Transcriptomic analyses of CRISPR-based PtrLBD39/22 double mutants showed that these two genes regulate a set of TW-related genes.Chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing(ChIP-seq)was used to identify direct targets of PtrLBD39.We integrated transcriptomic analyses and ChIP-seq assays to construct a transcriptional regulatory network(TRN)mediated by PtrLBD39.In this TRN,PtrLBD39 directly regulates 26 novel TW-responsive transcription factor genes.Our work suggests that PtrLBD39 and PtrLBD22 specifically control TW formation by mediating a TW-specific TRN in Populus. | Jing Yu Chenguang Zhou Danning Li Shuang Li Ying-Chung Jimmy Lin Jack P.Wang Vincent L.Chiang Wei Li | 2022 | Plant Communications2022,3,1: | 1 |

| 13 | Suppression of leakage current in carbon nanotube field-effect transistors显示文摘Carbon nanotube field-effect transistor(CNT FET)has been considered as a promising candidate for future high-performance and low-power integrated circuits(ICs)applications owing to its ballistic transport and excellent immunity to short channel effects(SCEs).Still,it easily suffers from the ambipolar property,and severe leakage current at off-state originated from gate-induced drain leakage(GIDL)in CNT FETs with small bandgap.Although some modifications on device structure have been experimentally demonstrated to suppress the leakage current in CNT FETs,there is still a lack of the structure with excellent scalability,which will hamper the development of CNT FETs toward a competitive technology node.Here,we explore how the device geometry design affects the leakage current in CNT FETs,and then propose the possible device structures to suppress off-state current and check their availability through the two-dimensional(2D)TCAD simulations.Among all the proposed structures,the L-shaped-spacer CNT FET exhibits significantly suppressed leakage current and excellent scalability down to sub-50 nm with a simple self-aligned gate process.According to the simulation results,the 50 nm gate-length L-shaped-spacer CNT FET exhibits an off-state current as low as approximately 1 nA/μm and an on-current as high as about 2.1 mA/μm at a supply voltage of-1 V and then can be extended as a universal device structure to suppress leakage current for all the narrow-bandgap semiconductors based FETs. | Lin Xu Chenguang Qiu Lian-mao Peng Zhiyong Zhang | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,4: | 0 |
| 14 | Enhanced Electronic Raman Spectra of Different Morphologic Neodymium Hydroxides显示文摘Nd(OH)3 particles sized of nanometer have been prepared using the different methods. The obtained neodymium hydroxide samples were investigated using the enhanced electronic Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, as well as field emission electron microscopy. Observable changes in electronic Raman bands were found among the electronic Raman spectra of Nd(OH)3 particles which formed under different physical-chemical conditions. Compared to the difference of the X-ray diffraction paterns, it suggests that the change of size and morphology of Nd(OH)3 particles occurs with subtle variation on the coordination environment around the neodymium ions, while the X-ray diffraction indicates the different long-ranged ordered structure of the Nd(OH)3 particles. Furthermore, the selected area electron diffraction (SAED), which manifests several crystal cells orientation, shows that the obtained Nd(OH)3 particles are of the same hexagonal symmetry of Nd(OH)3. Therefore, the X-ray diffraction, selected area electron diffraction (SAED) and enhanced electronic Raman spectroscopy reflect different levels of structure of neodymium hydroxide in morphological, crystalline, and coordination environment. At certain extent, the subtle variation of coordination structure may account for the special physical-chemical properties of nanometer materials. | 15 | Enhanced monopole transition strength from the cluster decay of ^(13)C显示文摘The inelastic excitations and cluster decay of ^(13)C have been measured using the reaction,9Be(^(13)C, ^(13)C* →~9Be + α)~9Be. We observe strong excitation to the 14.3-MeV(1/2-) resonant state from the cluster-decay channel, leading to an enhanced monopole matrix element of(6.3 ± 0.6) fm^2. This large cluster-related monopole strength is a clear indication of the cluster-structure domination of this state and is consistent with the recent prediction of the orthogonality condition model(OCM). | 16 | Dynamic characteristics of a shrouded blade with impact and friction显示文摘A simplified computational model of a twisted shrouded blade with impact and friction is established.In this model,the shrouded blade is simulated by a flexible Timoshenko beam with a tip-mass,and the effects of centrifugal stiffening,spin softening,and Coriolis force are considered.Impact force is simulated using a linear spring model,and friction force is generated by a tangential spring model under sticking state and a Coulomb friction model under sliding state.The proposed model is validated by a finite element model.Then,the effects of initial gap and normal preload,coefficient of friction,and contact stiffness ratio(the ratio of tangential contact stiffness to normal contact stiffness)on system vibration responses are analyzed.Results show that resonant peaks become inconspicuous and impact plays a dominant role when initial gaps are large between adjacent shrouds.By contrast,in small initial gaps or initial normal preloads condition,resonant speed increases sharply,and the optimal initial normal preloads that can minimize resonant amplitude becomes apparent.Coefficient of friction affects the optimal initial normal preload,but it does not affect vibration responses when the contact between shrouds is under full stick.System resonant amplitude decreases with the increase of contact stiffness ratio,but the optimal initial normal preload is unaffected. | Xumin GUO Jin ZENG Hui MA Chenguang ZHAO Lin QU Bangchun WEN | 2020 | Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2020,15,2: | 0 |

| 18 | Data quality assessment for studies investigating microplastics and nanoplastics in food products: Are current data reliable?显示文摘Data on the occurrence of microplastics and nanoplastics(MP/NPs)in foods have been used to assess the human health risk caused by the consumption of MP/NPs.The reliability of the data,however,remains unclear because of the lack of international standards for the analysis of MP/NPs in foods.Therefore,the data quality needs to be assessed for accurate health risk assessment.This study developed 10 criteria applicable to the quality assessment of data on MP/NPs in foods.Accordingly,the reliability of 71 data records(69 of them only focused on MPs)was assessed by assigning a score of 2(reliable without restrictions),1(reliable but with restrictions),or 0(unreliable)on each criterion.The results showed that only three data records scored 2 or 1 on all criteria,and six data records scored 0 on as many as six criteria.A total of 58 data records did not include information on positive controls,and 12 data records did not conduct the polymer identification,which could result in the overestimation or underestimation of MP/NPs.Our results also indicated that the data quality of unprocessed foods was more reliable than that of processed foods.Furthermore,we proposed a quality assurance and quality control protocol to investigate MP/NPs in foods.Notably,the characteristics of MP/NPs used in toxicological studies and those existing in foods showed a remarkable discrepancy,causing the uncertainty of health risk assessment.Therefore,both the estimated exposure of MP/NPs and the claimed potential health risks should be treated with caution. | Lihua Pang Qianhui Lin Shasha Zhao Hao Zheng Chenguang Li Jing Zhang Cuizhu Sun Lingyun Chen Fengmin Li | 2023 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2023,17,8: | 0 |
| 19 | A simple fluorescent sensor for highly sensitive detection of UO_(2)2+显示文摘Extensive application of nuclear energy has caused widespread environmental uranium contamination.New detection approaches without complicated sample pretreatment and precision instruments are in demand for on-site and in-time determination of uranyl ions in environmental monitoring, especially in an emergency situation. In this work, a simple and effective fluorescent sensor(Z)-N’-hydroxy-4-(1,2,2-triphenylvinyl)benzimidamide(TPE-A) with aggregation-induced emission(AIE) character was established and studied. It could realize to detect UO_(2)2+via quenching the fluorescence of its aggregation-induced emission, with good selectivity and sensitivity. Such strategy shows a wide linear range from 5.0 × 10^(-8)mol/L to 4.5 × 10^(-7)mol/L(R^(2)= 0.9988) with exceptional sensitivity reaching 4.7 × 10^(-9)mol/L, which is far below the limit for uranium in drinking water(30 μg/L, ca. 1.1 × 10-7mol/L) stipulated by the WHO.A response time less than four minutes make it rapid for uranyl ion measurement. It was applied for detection of uranyl ion in spiked river water samples with recoveries in the range of 98.7%-104.0%, comparable to those obtained by ICP-MS.
