| 1 | Human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cell therapy in patients with COVID-19:a phase 1 clinical trial显示文摘No effective drug treatments are available for coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Host-directed therapies targeting the underlying aberrant immune responses leading to pulmonary tissue damage,death,or long-term functional disability in survivors require clinical evaluation.We performed a parallel assigned controlled,non-randomized,phase 1 clinical trial to evaluate the safety of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells(UC-MSCs)infusions in the treatment of patients with moderate and severe COVID-19 pulmonary disease.The study enrolled 18 hospitalized patients with COVID-19(n=9 for each group).The treatment group received three cycles of intravenous infusion of UC-MSCs(3×107 cells per infusion)on days 0,3,and 6.Both groups received standard COVID-treatment regimens.Adverse events,duration of clinical symptoms,laboratory parameters,length of hospitalization,serial chest computed tomography(CT)images,the PaO2/FiO2 ratio,dynamics of cytokines,and IgG and IgM anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies were analyzed.No serious UC-MSCs infusion-associated adverse events were observed.Two patients receiving UC-MSCs developed transient facial flushing and fever,and one patient developed transient hypoxia at 12 h post UC-MSCs transfusion.Mechanical ventilation was required in one patient in the treatment group compared with four in the control group.All patients recovered and were discharged.Our data show that intravenous UC-MSCs infusion in patients with moderate and severe COVID-19 is safe and well tolerated.Phase 2/3 randomized,controlled,double-blinded trials with long-term follow-up are needed to evaluate the therapeutic use of UC-MSCs to reduce deaths and improve long-term treatment outcomes in patients with serious COVID-19. | Fanping Meng Ruonan Xu Siyu Wang Zhe Xu Chao Zhang Yuanyuan Li Tao Yang Lei Shi Junliang Fu Tianjun Jiang Lei Huang Peng Zhao Xin Yuan Xing Fan Ji-Yuan Zhang Jinwen Song Dawei Zhang Yanmei Jiao Limin Liu Chunbao Zhou Markus Maeurer Alimuddin Zumla Ming Shi Fu-Sheng Wang | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 16 |

| 3 | Adsorption of VOCs on reduced graphene oxide显示文摘A modified Hummer's method was adopted for the synthesis of graphene oxide(GO) and reduced graphene oxide(rGO). It was revealed that the modified method is effective for the production of GO and rGO from graphite. Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) images of GO and rGO showed a sheet-like morphology. Because of the presence of oxygenated functional groups on the carbon surface, the interlayer spacing of the prepared GO was higher than that of rGO. The presence of \OH and C_O groups in the Fourier transform infrared spectra(FTIR) spectrum and G-mode and 2D-mode in Raman spectra confirmed the synthesis of GO and rGO. rGO(292.6 m^2/g) showed higher surface area than that of GO(236.4 m^2/g). The prepared rGO was used as an adsorbent for benzene and toluene(model pollutants of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)) under dynamic adsorption/desorption conditions. rGO showed higher adsorption capacity and breakthrough times than GO. The adsorption capacity of rGO for benzene and toluene was 276.4 and 304.4 mg/g, respectively.Desorption experiments showed that the spent rGO can be successfully regenerated by heating at 150.0°C. | 5 | Highly efficient Cu/anatase TiO2 {001}-nanosheets catalysts for methanol synthesis from CO2显示文摘Anatase TiO_2 nanosheets(-ns-) with dominant exposed {001} facets were used as support to load copper,and the synthesized Cu/TiO_2-ns catalysts were evaluated for CO_2 hydrogenation to methanol. Under the reaction conditions, P = 3.0 MPa, T = 260 ℃, V(N_2):V(H_2):V(CO_2) = 8:69:23 and gas hourly space velocity(GHSV) = 3600 mL g^(-1)h^(-1), the methanol yield reached an appealing high value, 5.6%. Copper-loading amount, calcination temperature and reduction atmosphere have been investigated in this work, which significantly influence the particle sizes of copper and/or the defect concentration in TiO_2, then leading to different catalytic performance. Characterizations of XRD, EPR, CO_2-TPD and FTIR demonstrate that higher specific surface area of Cu is good for the hydrogenation of CO_2 and adequate amount of Ti^(3+) plays important roles in CO_2 activation. | 7 | A Multicenter Study of Viral Aetiology of Community-Acquired Pneumonia in Hospitalized Children in Chinese Mainland显示文摘Community-acquired pneumonia(CAP) is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in children worldwide.In this study,we aimed to describe the aetiology of viral infection of pediatric CAP in Chinese mainland.During November2014 to June 2016,the prospective study was conducted in 13 hospitals.The hospitalized children under 18 years old who met the criteria for CAP were enrolled.The throat swabs or nasopharyngeal aspirates(NPAs) were collected which were then screened 18 respiratory viruses using multiplex PCR assay.Viral pathogens were present in 56.6%(1539/2721) of the enrolled cases,with the detection rate of single virus in 39.8% of the cases and multiple viruses in 16.8% of the cases.The most frequently detected virus was respiratory syncytial virus(RSV)(15.2%,414/2721).The highest detection rate of virus was in <6-month-age group(70.7%,292/413).RSV,human metapneumovirus(HMPV),human parainfluenza viruses(HPIVs) and influenza B virus(Flu B) showed the similar prevalence patterns both in north and south China,but HPIVs,Flu A,human bocavirus(HBoV),human adenovirus(HAdV) and human coronaviruses(HCoVs) showed the distinct circulating patterns in north and south China.Human enterovirus/human rhinovirus(HEV/HRV)(27.6%,27/98),HBoV(18.4%,18/98),RSV(16.3%,16/98) and HMPV(14.3%,14/98) were the most commonly detected viruses in severe pneumonia cases with single virus infection.In conclusion,viral pathogens are frequently detected in pediatric CAP cases and may therefore play a vital role in the aetiology of CAP.RSV was the most important virus in hospitalized children with CAP in Chinese mainland. | Yun Zhu Baoping Xu Changchong Li Zhimin Chen Ling Cao Zhou Fu Yunxiao Shang Aihuan Chen Li Deng Yixiao Bao Yun Sun Limin Ning Shuilian Yu Fang Gu Chunyan Liu Ju Yin Adong Shen Zhengde Xie Kunling Shen | 2021 | Virologica Sinica2021,36,6: | 7 |

| 9 | Macroporous Ni foam-supported Co_3O_4 nanobrush and nanomace hybrid arrays for high-efficiency CO oxidation显示文摘Herein, we reported the synthesis of well-defined Co_3O_4 nanoarrays(NAs) supported on a monolithic three-dimensional macroporous nickel(Ni) foam substrate for use in highefficiency CO oxidation. The monolithic Co_3O_4 NAs catalysts were obtained through a generic hydrothermal synthesis route with subsequent calcination. By controlling the reaction time,solvent polarity and deposition agent, these Co_3O_4 NAs catalysts exhibited various novel morphologies(single or hybrid arrays), whose physicochemical properties were further characterized by using several analytical techniques. Based on the catalytic and characterization analyses, it was found that the Co_3O_4 NAs-6 catalyst with nanobrush and nanomace arrays displayed enhanced catalytic activity for CO oxidation, achieving an efficient 100% CO oxidation conversion at a gas hourly space velocity(GHSV) 10,000 hr^(-1) and 150°C with longterm stability. | 11 | Development of agricultural bionic mechanisms:Investigation of the effects of joint angle and pressure on the stability of goats moving on sloping lands显示文摘The use of small-scale agricultural machinery becomes prevalent as it provides the stability of agricultural machinery research ideas.To lay the theoretical foundation for the research and design of agriculture walking mechanism,the Phantom Camera Control software was used to measure the anterior and posterior joint angle of a goat walking on different slopes.Foot pressure was measured by the film pressure sensor.The result of joint motion sequence,range of motion,and change of range showed that the fitting degree of the measured value was accurate.As the goat walking speed increased,the level of the hind limb angle changed to ensure itself stability.When the goat is walking,the forelimbs bear more weight than the hind limbs due to the different static and physiological structures of the front and rear legs.The key parameters of gait on different slopes were analyzed.The curve of angle change of legs was measured and analyzed when the goat is walking in slope.The results showed that,with the increase of the slope gradient,the anterior hip angle ranges from 83.3°to 117.1°,the posterior hip angle ranges at 120.3°-173.1°,the left knee angle ranges from 91.3°to 170.1°,the right knee angle is roughly the same as its range of variation.When the slope increased,the pressure change of left hind foot was consistent with that of the right anterior foot,and the pressure change of right hind foot was consistent with that of the left anterior foot.This demonstrated the theory of diagonal gait.Meanwhile,with the change of the slope,the plantar pressure of the limbs changes periodically.The research results verified the rationality of the four-legged bionic mechanism under various parameters,which can provide a theoretical basis for the design of agricultural walking mechanism to adapt different slopes in the hilly and mountainous areas. | Fu Zhang Limin Zheng Wei Wang Yafei Wang Jiajia Wang | 2018 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,3: | 3 |

| 20 | PD-L1 is increased in the spinal cord and infiltrating lymphocytes in experimental allergic encephalomyelitis显示文摘Experimental allergic encephalomyelitis is a mouse model of human multiple sclerosis with similar pathology and pathogenesis.Th1 cells play an important role in the pathogenesis of experimental allergic encephalomyelitis.This study determined the potential effect of programmed cell death 1ligand 1 in the pathogenesis of experimental allergic encephalomyelitis induced by injecting myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein,complete Freund’s adjuvant and Bordetella pertussis toxin into C57BL/6J mice.Experimental allergic encephalomyelitis mice developed disease and showed inflammatory changes in the central nervous system by hematoxylin-eosin staining of spinal cord pathological sections,demyelination by Luxol fast-blue staining and clinical manifestations.The expression of programmed cell death 1 ligand 1 in mice was detected by immunohistochemistry,flow cytometry and western blot analysis.The expression of programmed cell death 1 ligand 1 in the spinal cord and splenocytes of mice was significantly increased compared with normal mice.Our findings suggest the involvement of programmed cell death 1 ligand 1 in the pathogenesis of experimental allergic encephalomyelitis and suggest this should be studied in multiple sclerosis. | Min Li Jiandong Jiang Bing Fu Jiechun Chen Qun Xue Wanli Dong Yanzheng Gu Lingtao Tang Limin Xue Qi Fang Mingyuan Wang Xueguang Zhang | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,35: | 1 |
