2Physiological responses of osteoblasts to cyclic stretching and the change of intracellular calcium concentration显示文摘The development of bone tissues is regulated by mechanical stimulation. Cyclic stretching was applied to the osteoblasts that were delivered from rat calvarie. The results showed that stretching at 500 me increased the cell prolifera-tion while loading at 1000 me and 1500 me inhabited cell growth. Loading also increased the adhesive force between cells and substrate as well as spreading areas of osteobalsts. Furthermore, the fluorescence probe Fluo-3/AM was used to investigate the effect of stretching stimulation on the intra-cellular calcium concentration of osteoblasts. The intracellu-lar calcium concentration of osteoblasts that were stretched at 500 me for 5 min was 92.9% higher than the control. After being treated with the panax ontoginseng saponins, the stretched osteoblasts still expressed 28.6% higher intracellu-lar calcium concentration than that of the control, which proved that both the influx of extracellular calcium and the release of intracellular calcium store were involved in the increase of intracellular calcium concentration when os-teoblasts responded to the cyclic stretching. 3Competing endogenous RNAs in lung cancer显示文摘Competing endogenous RNAs(ce RNAs)containing micro RNA response elements can competitively interact with micro RNA via mi RNA response elements,which can combine non-coding RNAs with protein-coding RNAs through complex ce RNA networks.Ce RNAs include non-coding RNAs(long non-coding RNAs,circular RNAs,and transcribed pseudogenes)and protein-coding RNAs(m RNAs).Molecular interactions in ce RNA networks can coordinate many biological processes;however,they may also lead to ce RNA network imbalance and thus contribute to cancer occurrence when disturbed.Recent studies indicate that many dysregulated RNAs derived from lung cancer may function as ce RNAs to regulate multitudinous biological functions for lung cancer,including tumor cell proliferation,apoptosis,growth,invasion,migration,and metastasis.This study therefore reviewed the research progress in the field of non-coding and protein-coding RNAs as ce RNAs in lung cancer,and highlighted validated ce RNAs involved in biological lung cancer functions.Furthermore,the roles of ce RNAs as novel prognostic and diagnostic biomarkers were also discussed.Interpreting the involvement of ce RNAs networks in lung cancer will provide new insight into cancer pathogenesis and treatment strategies.Meilian Zhao Jianguo Feng Liling Tang 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,1:5

10The Effect of Cyclic Stretching on Matrix Production, Mineralization and Differentiation of Osteoblasts显示文摘A four-point bending apparatus is used to investigate the effects of stretching on collagen synthesis, mineralization and differentiation of osteoblasts. Cells are stretched at 1500 με for 24 hours. The responses of osteoblasts to mechanical signal of physiological stretching are evaluated from three aspects: collagen production, extracellular inorganic calcium secretion and ALP activity. 11In situ electrochemical dehydrogenation of ultrathin Co(OH)_(2) nanosheets for enhanced hydrogen evolution显示文摘Transition metal hydroxides/oxyhydroxides have recently emerged as highly active electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction in alkaline water electrolysis,while have not yet been widely investigated for hydrogen evolution electrocatalysts owing to their unfavorable H*-adsorption,making it difficult to construct an overall-water-splitting cell for hydrogen production.In this work,we proposed a straightforward and effective approach to develop an efficient in-plane heterostructured CoOOH/Co(OH)_(2) catalyst via in-situ electrochemical dehydrogenation method,in which the dehydrogenated–CoOOH and Co(OH)_(2) at the surface synergistically boost the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)kinetics in base as confirmed by high-resolution transmission electron microscope,synchrotron X-ray absorption spectroscopy,and electron energy loss spectroscopy.Due to the in-situ dehydrogenation of ultrathin Co(OH)_(2) nanosheets,the catalytic activity of the CoOOH/Co(OH)_(2) heterostructures is progressively improved,which exhibit outstanding hydrogen-evolving activity in base requiring a low overpotential of 132 m V to afford 10 m A/cm^(2)with very fast reaction kinetics after 60 h dehydrogenation.The gradually improved catalytic performance for the CoOOH/Co(OH)2is probably due to the enhanced H*-adsorption induced by the synergistic effect of heterostructures and better conductivity of Co OOH relative to electrically insulating Co(OH)_(2).This work will open the opportunity for a new family of transition metal hydroxides/oxyhydroxides as active HER catalysts,and also highlight the importance of using in situ techniques to construct precious metal-free efficient catalysts for alkaline hydrogen evolution.Qian Zhou Qihang Bian Liling Liao Fang Yu Dongyang Li Dongsheng Tang Haiqing Zhou 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,1:0
