5Effects of purified zearalenone on selected immunological and histopathologic measurements of spleen in post-weanling gilts显示文摘The present study was aimed at investigating the adverse effects of dietary zearalenone(ZEA) on the lymphocyte proliferation rate(LPR), interleukin-2(IL-2), mRNA expressions of pro-inflammatory cytokines, and histopathologic changes of spleen in post-weanling gilts. A total of 20 crossbred piglets(Yorkshire × Landrace × Duroc) with an initial BW of 10.36 ± 1.21 kg(21 d of age) were used in the study.Piglets were fed a basal diet with an addition of 0.1.1,2.0, or 3.2 mg/kg purified ZEA for 18 d ad libitum.The results showed that LPR and IL-2 production of spleen decreased linearly(P < 0.05) as dietary ZEA increased. Splenic mRNA expressions of interleukin-1β(IL-1β) and interleukin-6(IL-6) were linearly upregulated(P < 0.05) as dietary ZEA increased. On the contrary, linear down-regulation(P<0.05) of mRNA expression of interferon-γ(IFN-γ) was observed as dietary ZEA increased. Swelling splenocyte in1.1 mg/kg ZEA treatments, atrophy of white pulp and swelling of red pulp in 2.0 and 3.2 mg/kg ZEA treatments were observed. The cytoplasmic edema in 1.1 mg/kg ZEA treatments, significant chromatin deformation in 2.0 mg/kg ZEA treatment and phagocytosis in 3.2 mg/kg ZEA treatment were observed.Results suggested that dietary ZEA at 1.1 to 3.2 mg/kg can induce splenic damages and negatively affect immune function of spleen in post-weanling gilts.Peng Chen Tingjun Liu Shuzhen Jiang Zaibin Yang Libo Huang Faxiao Liu 2017Animal Nutrition2017,,3:5

7Effects of purified zearalenone on selected immunological measurements of blood in post-weaning gilts显示文摘Zearalenone(ZEA), an estrogenic mycotoxin, is produced mainly by Fusarium fungi. Previous studies have indicated that acute ZEA exposure induced various damages in different species; however, its transparent hematotoxicity in female piglets at dietary levels of 1.1 to 3.2 mg/kg has not been shown. The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary ZEA(1.1—3.2 mg/kg) on hematology, T lymphocyte subset, immunoglobulin, antibody titer, lymphocyte proliferation rate(LPR), and interleukin-2(IL-2) in peripheral blood of post-weaning gilts. A total of 20 female piglets(Landrace × Yorkshire × Duroc),weaned at 42 d with an average body weight of 10.36 ± 1.21 kg were used in the study. Female piglets were kept in a temperature controlled room, divided into four treatments, and fed a diet based on corn-soybean meal-fishmeal-whey, with an addition of 0, 1.1, 2.0, or3.2 mg/kg purified ZEA for 18 d ad libitum. Feed intake and refusal were measured daily and individual pigs were weighed weekly. Blood and serum samples were collected for selected immunological measurements. Female piglets fed different levels of dietary ZEA grew similarly with no difference in feed intake. Hematological values including leukocytes, platelets, lymphocytes, hematocrit, and mean corpuscular hemoglobin(MCH) decreased linearly(P < 0.05) as dietary ZEA increased. Female piglets fed diets containing 2.0 mg/kg ZEA or greater showed significantly decreased CD4+CD8+, CD4+, and CD4+/CD8^+ in comparison to the control(P < 0.05), whereas CD8^+ was significantly increased(P = 0.026) in the gilts which were fed the diet containing 3.2 mg/kg ZEA. Serum immunoglobulin G(IgG) and the antibody titer on d 18 were reduced linearly as dietary ZEA levels increased(P < 0.001). Linear decrease in LPR was observed(P < 0.05). Female piglets fed diets containing 2.0 mg/kg ZEA or more showed significantly decreased IL-2 in comparison to the control(P < 0.05). 8Optimizing interfacial electronic coupling with metal oxide to activate inert polyaniline for superior electrocatalytic hydrogen generation显示文摘Tuning and optimization of electronic structures and related reaction energetics are critical toward the rational design of efficient electrocatalysts.Herein,experimental and theoretical calculation demonstrate the originally inert N site within polyaniline(PANI)can be activated for hydrogen evolution by proper d-πinterfacial electronic coupling with metal oxide.As a result,the assynthesized WO3 assemblies@PANI via a facile redox-induced assembly and in situ polymerization,exhibits the electrocatalytic production of hydrogen better than other control samples including W18O49@PANI and most of the reported nobel-metal-free electrocatalysts,with low overpotential of 74 mV at 10 mA·cm−2 and small Tafel slope of 46 mV·dec−1 in 0.5M H2SO4(comparable to commercial Pt/C).The general efficacy of this methodology is also validated by extension to other metal oxides such as MoO3 with similar improvements.Zhen-Feng Huang Jiajia Song Yonghua Du Shuo Dou Libo Sun Wei Chen Kaidi Yuan Zhengfei Dai Xin Wang 2019Carbon Energy2019,1,1:5
9New discoveries from the classic Quaternary mammalian fossil area of Yanjinggou,Chongqing,and their chronological explanations显示文摘Yanjinggou in Wanzhou District of Chongqing is one of the earliest reported and most famous Quaternary mammalian fossil areas in China.The fauna from this area used to be taken as a benchmark for the biochronological comparison of Quaternary paleontology of South China,but the chronology of this fauna has many controversies for the lack of exact locational and stratigraphical records.The present article,on the basis of recent investigations and discoveries,discusses and explains the distribution and biochronology of the mammalian faunas in the Yanjinggou area.The newly discovered Dayakou fissure fauna,including Rhizomys troglodytes,Homotherium sp.,Panthera pardus,Stegodon orientalis,Dicerorhinus sumatrensis,Hesperotherium sinense,Sus sp.,Cervavitus fenqii,Cervus sp.and Muntiacus sp.,is correlated to the middle Early Pleistocene.The presence of Early Pleistocene mammalian fauna in the Yanjinggou area is therefore confirmed.The'Wanhsien fauna'or'Yenchingkou(=Yanjinggou)fauna'as a Mid-Late Pleistocene biostratigraphical datum should be abandoned.The Dayakou fauna and the Upper Cave fauna of Pingba,both in the Yanjinggou area,are correlated to the middle Early Pleistocene and the early Middle Pleistocene in age,respectively.CHEN ShaoKun PANG LiBo HE CunDing WEI GuangBiao HUANG WanBo YUE ZongYing ZHANG XiaoHu ZHANG Hua QIN Li 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,31:4
10Size-tunable synthesis of gold nanorods using pyrogallol as a reducing agent显示文摘A novel and facile seed-mediated method for the preparation of monodispersed gold nanorods(GNRs) is presented by introducing pyrogallol as a reductant. Fast Fourier transformation of high-resolution transmission electron microscopy reveals that the synthesized GNRs are single crystalline. The longitudinal surface plasmon resonance of GNRs can be finely tuned by varying silver ion concentrations or seed amounts. Also, both thick(diameter >30 nm) and thin(diameter <10 nm) GNRs with exceptional monodispersity can be well prepared by this method. 123D bioprinting of a biomimetic meniscal scaffold for application in tissue engineering显示文摘Appropriate biomimetic scaffolds created via 3D bioprinting are promising methods for treating damaged menisci.However,given the unique anatomical structure and complex stress environment of the meniscus,many studies have adopted various techniques to take full advantage of different materials,such as the printing combined with infusion,or electrospining,to chase the biomimetic meniscus,which makes the process complicated to some extent.Some researchers have tried to tackle the challenges only by 3D biopringting,while its alternative materials and models have been constrained.In this study,based on a multilayer biomimetic strategy,we optimized the preparation of meniscus-derived bioink,gelatin methacrylate(GelMA)/meniscal extracellular matrix(MECM),to take printability and cytocompatibility into account together.Subsequently,a customized 3D bioprinting system featuring a dual nozzle+multitemperature printing was used to integrate the advantages of polycaprolactone(PCL)and meniscal fibrocartilage chondrocytes(MFCs)-laden GelMA/MECM bioink to complete the biomimetic meniscal scaffold,which had the best biomimetic features in terms of morphology and components.Furthermore,cell viability,mechanics,biodegradation and tissue formation in vivo were performed to ensure that the scaffold had sufficient feasibility and functionality,thereby providing a reliable basis for its application in tissue engineering.Zhou Jian Tian Zhuang Tian Qinyu Peng Liqing Li Kun Luo Xujiang Wang Diaodiao Yang Zhen Jiang Shuangpeng Sui Xiang Huang Jingxiang Liu Shuyun Hao Libo Tang Peifu Yao Qi Guo Quanyi 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,6:3

15In situ atomic-scale observation of dislocation behaviors in twin-structured Pt nanocrystals显示文摘The deformation mechanisms of twin-structured metallic materials have attracted great interest.Though previous theoretical predictions have suggested that the repulsive force of the twin boundary(TB)can significantly affect the deformation of twinstructured metals,it remains unclear whether this prediction applies to experimental conditions.In this paper,the atomic-scaled deformation process of twin-structured Pt nanocrystals was in situ observed using our home-made device in a high-resolution transmission electron microscope.We have shown that the plastic deformation of the twin-structured Pt nanocrystals was governed by full dislocation generation as well as Lomer dislocation(LD)lock formation and destruction.After LD locks were destructed,these full dislocations tended to move towards the surface of the nanocrystals.The findings revealed that due to the ultra-high repulsive force of TB on dislocation,there was no dislocation-TB reaction during the deformation.These findings can enrich our understanding of the dislocation behaviors of twin-structured nanocrystals.GUO YiZhong SUN Tao FU LiBo HAO LongHu HUANG Ming WEI RuJian LUO JunFeng HE Xin WANG XingQuan XIONG XiaoDong WANG LiHua HAN XiaoDong 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,3:2
16Wafer-scale patterned growth of type-II Dirac semimetal platinum ditelluride for sensitive room-temperature terahertz photodetection显示文摘As the lastly unexplored electromagnetic wave,terahertz(THz)radiation has been exploited in a plenty of contexts such as fundamental research,military and civil fields.Most recently,representative two-dimensional(2D)topological semimetal,platinum ditelluride(PtTe_(2))has attracted considerable research interest in THz detection due to its unique physical properties.However,to achieve practical applications,the low-cost,large-scale,controllable synthesis and efficient patterning of 2D materials are key requirements,which remain a challenge for PtTe_(2)and its photodetectors(PDs).Herein,a facile approach is developed to obtain waferscale(2-inches)patterned PtTe_(2)arrays using one-step tellurium-vapor transformation method and micro-Nano technology.PtTe_(2)PD arrays are fabricated with the as-grown PtTe_(2)arrays evenly distributed on a 2-inch wafer,exhibiting high conductivity(~2.7×105 S m^(-1))and good electrical consistency.Driven by the Dirac fermions,PtTe_(2)PDs achieve a broadband(0.02-0.3 THz)response with a fast response speed(~4.7μs),a high sensitivity(~47 pW Hz^(-1/2))and high-resolution transmission THz-imaging capability,which displays the potential of large-area THz array imaging.These results are one step towards the practical applications of integrated PD arrays based on 2D materials.Zhuo Dong Wenzhi Yu Libo Zhang Liu Yang Luyi Huang Yan Zhang Zeqian Ren Haoran Mu Cheng Chen Junrong Zhang Jie Li Lin Wang Kai Zhang 2023InfoMat2023,5,5:1
