| 1 | How does a data strategy enable customer value?The case of FinTechs and traditional banks under the open finance framework显示文摘The coupling of data and digital innovation opens the way for new business in the financial services sector,where customers are placed at the centre of decisions and data can help to develop customer knowledge.To carry out our research,we adopted a multi-case study approach to explore how a data strategy is developed in the retail banking industry,together with its relationship with customer value,paying particular attention to the heterogeneity between traditional banks and financial technology companies(FinTechs).Two main points emerged from the study.Firstly,there are three possible approaches to Open Finance,which are mainly defined by their different corporate cultures,organisational configurations,technological architecture and data value.Secondly,it is not enough to be a FinTech to be best placed to exploit the market,as some traditional banks share the FinTechs’approach to Open Finance.Designing new tailored products,customising their prices and offering them over the right channels through targeted communication are all data-driven initiatives that stem from cross-or up-selling potential,core to the retail banking industry for turning a customer into a cash flow,thus enabling value to be created for customers.Our findings additionally revealed that there is a form of external information asymmetry between the customer and the bank,and that there is also an internal asymmetry between bank departments,as their visibility on information about the same customer may differ. | Laura Grassi Nicolas Figini Lorenzo Fedeli | 2022 | Financial Innovation2022，8，1： | 2 |

| 5 | Pancreatic mucinous cystadenocarcinoma in a patient harbouring BRCA1 germline mutation effectively treated with olaparib: A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Pancreatic mucinous cystadenocarcinoma(MCAC)is a rare malignancy with a poor prognosis when it presents metastases at diagnosis.Due to its very low incidence,there are no clear recommendations for the treatment of advanced disease.Olaparib(an oral PARP inhibitor)has been approved for the maintenance treatment of patients with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma harbouring germline BRCA1/2 mutations.Herein,we report the first case of a germline BRCA1 mutated unresectable MCAC which was effectively treated with olaparib.CASE SUMMARY A 41-year-old woman,without personal or family history of cancer,was diagnosed with ovarian and peritoneal metastases of MCAC.She underwent 12 cycles of gemcitabine plus oxaliplatin(GEMOX)obtaining a partial response and allowing radical surgery.One year later,local recurrence was documented,and other 12 cycles of GEMOX were administered obtaining a complete response.Seven years later,another local recurrence,not amenable to surgical resection,was diagnosed.She started FOLFIRINOX(oxaliplatin,irinotecan,leucovorin and fluorouracil),obtaining a partial response after 8 cycles.Given the excellent response to platinum-based chemotherapy,BRCA testing was performed,and a BRCA1 germline mutation was detected.She was switched to maintenance olaparib due to chemotherapy-related toxicities and achieved an almost complete metabolic response,with a reduction in the diameter of the lesion,after three months of therapy.CONCLUSION The current case suggests the beneficial effect of olaparib in BRCA mutated MCAC.However,further studies are required. | Mariacristina Di Marco Riccardo Carloni Stefania De Lorenzo Cristina Mosconi Andrea Palloni Elisa Grassi Daria Maria Filippini Angela Dalia Ricci Alessandro Rizzo Alessandro Di Federico Donatella Santini Daniela Turchetti Claudio Ricci Carlo Ingaldi Laura Alberici Francesco Minni Rita Golfieri Giovanni Brandi Riccardo Casadei | 2020 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology2020，12，12： | 0 |
| 6 | An overview of Fintech applications to solve the puzzle of health care funding:state-of-the-art in medical crowdfunding显示文摘Crowdfunding is emerging as an alternative form of funding for medical purposes,with capital being raised directly from a broader and more diverse audience of investors.In this paper,we have systematically researched and reviewed the literature on medical crowdfunding to determine how crowdfunding connects with the health care industry.The health care industry has been struggling to develop sustainable research and business models for economic systems and investors alike,especially in pharmaceuticals.The research results have revealed a wealth of evidence concerning the way crowdfunding is applied in real life.Patients and caregivers utilize web platform–based campaigns all over the world to fund their medical expenses,generally on a spot basis,using donation-based or even reward-based schemes,regardless of the health care system archetype(public,private insurance-based or hybrid).Academics have also focused on funding campaigns and the predictors of success(which range from social behaviour and environment to the basic demographics of the campaigners and their diseases)and on social and regulatory concerns,including heightened social inequality and stigma.While equity crowdfunding is disrupting the way many ventures/businesses seek capital in the market,our research indicates that there are no relevant or consistent data on the practice of medical equity crowdfunding in health care,apart from a few anecdotal cases. | Laura Grassi Simone Fantaccini | 2022 | Financial Innovation2022，8，1： | 0 |
