1Petrogenesis of the Neopro-terozoic bimodal volcanic rocks along the western margin of the Yangtze Block:New constraints from Hf isotopes and Fe/Mn ratios显示文摘High-precision major element and Hf isotope data are reported for the Neoproterozoic Suxiong volcanic rocks along the western margin of the Yangtze Block. These volcanic rocks have variable εHf(T) values and Fe/Mn ratios. The relatively primitive basalts have high Fe/Mn ratios and high Hf-Nd isotopic compositions, indicating that they were generated by partial melting of garnet clinopyroxene in mantle plume at high pressure. Thus, the Suxiong basalts are genetically related to the proposed Neoproterozoic super-plume. On the contrary, a few differentiated basalts have low Fe/Mn ratios and low Hf-Nd isotopic compositions. They are likely to experience assimilation-fractional crystallization process. The Suxiong rhyolites have consistent Hf and Nd model ages of 1.3―1.4 Ga. 3Quality assessment of onboard GPS receiver and its combination with DORIS and SLR for Haiyang 2A precise orbit determination显示文摘The GPS,DORIS,and SLR instruments are installed on Haiyang 2A(HY2A)altimetry satellite for Precise Orbit Determination(POD).Among these instruments,the codeless GPS receiver is the state-of-art Chinese indigenous onboard receiver,and it is the first one successfully used for Low Earth Orbit(LEO)satellite.Firstly,the contribution assesses the performance of the receiver through an analysis of data integrity,numbers of all tracked and valid measurements as well as multipath errors.The receiver generally shows good performance and quality despite a few flaws.For example,L2 observations are often missing in low elevations,particularly during the ascent of GPS satellites,and the multipath errors of P1 show a slightly abnormal pattern.Secondly,the PCO(Phase Center Offset)and PCV(Phase Center Variation)of the antenna of the GPS receiver are determined in this contribution.A significant leap for Z-component of PCO up to-1.2 cm has been found on 10 October 2011.Thirdly,the obtained PCO and PCV maps are used for GPS only POD solutions.The post-fit residuals of ionosphere-free phase combinations reduce almost 50%,and the radial orbit differences with respect to CNES(Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales)Precise Orbit Ephemeris(POEs)improve about 13.9%.The orbits are validated using the SLR data,and the RMS of SLR Observed minus Computed(O-C)residuals reduces from 17.5 to 15.9 mm.These improvements are with respect to the orbits determined without PCO and PCV.Fourthly,six types of solutions are determined for HY2A satellite using different combinations of GPS,DORIS,and SLR data.Statistics of SLR O-C residuals and cross-comparison of orbits obtained in the contribution and the CNES POEs indicate that the radial accuracy of these orbits is at the 1.0 cm level for HY2A orbit solutions,which is much better than the scientific requirements of this mission.It is noticed that the GPS observations dominate the achievable accuracy of POD,and the combination of multiple types of observations can reduce orbit errors caused by data gaps and maintain more stable and continuous orbits.GUO Jing ZHAO QiLe GUO Xiang LIU XiangLin LIU JingNan ZHOU Quan 2015Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,1:13

5Irinotecan plus S-1 versus S-1 in patients with previously treated recurrent or metastatic esophageal cancer(ESWN 01):a prospective randomized,multicenter,open-labeled phase 3 trial显示文摘Background:The benefit of systemic treatments in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)which has pro-gressed after chemotherapy is still uncertain and optimal regimens based on randomized trials have not yet been established.We aimed to compare the efficacy of irinotecan plus S-1 with S-1 monotherapy in recurrent or metastatic ESCC patients who had resistance to platinum-or taxane-based chemotherapy.Methods:We conducted a prospective randomized,multicenter,open-label,phase 3 trial in 15 centers across China.Eligible patients were adults with histologically confirmed recurrent or metastatic ESCC,and were randomly assigned(ratio,1:1)to receive either irinotecan plus S-1(intravenous infusion of irinotecan[160 mg/m2]on day 1 and oral S-1[80-120 mg]on days 1-10,repeated every 14 days)or oral S-1 monotherapy(80-120 mg/day on days 1-14,repeated every 21 days)using a central computerized minimization procedure.The primary endpoint was progression-free survival(PFS).Results:Between December 23,2014 and July 25,2016,we screened 148 patients and randomly assigned 123 patients to receive either irinotecan plus S-1 regimen(n=61)or S-1 monotherapy(n=62).After a median follow-up of 29.2 months(95%confidence interval[CI]17.5-40.9 months),the median PFS was significantly longer in the irinotecan plus S-1 group than in the S-1 monotherapy group(3.8 months[95%CI 2.9-4.3 months]vs.1.7 months[95%CI 1.4-2.7 months],hazard ratio=0.58,95%CI 0.38-0.86,P=0.006).The objective response rates were 24.6%in the irinotecan plus S-1 group and 9.7%in the S-1 monotherapy group(P=0.002).The patients in the irinotecan plus S-1 group presented with increased rates of grade 3-4 leukopenia(16.4%vs.0%),neutropenia(14.8%vs.1.6%),and nausea(4.9%vs.0%).No significant difference in grade 3-4 diarrhea and no treatment-related deaths were observed in both groups.Conclusions: The combination of irinotecan with S-1 was similarly tolerable but significantly prolonged PFS compared to S-1 monotherapy as a second- or third-line treatment in patients with recurrent or metastatic ESCC.Jing Huang Binghe Xu Ying Liu Junxing Huang Ping Lu Yi Ba Lin Wu Yuxian Bai Shu Zhang Jifeng Feng Ying Cheng Jie Li Lu Wen Xianglin Yuan Changwu Ma Chunhong Hu Qingxia Fan Xi Wang 2019Cancer Communications2019,39,1:8
6Physiological responses of Populus euphratica Oliv. to groundwater table variations in the lower reaches of Heihe River, Northwest China显示文摘Riparian vegetation in the lower reaches of Heihe River serves important ecological functions. However, the riparian ecosystems have been constantly deteriorating in the past 30 years simply due to water interception for oasis agricultural irrigation in the middle reaches of the river. This study pays a particular attention to Populus euphratica Oliv. forest because it is a dominant component of the riparian ecosystem in the lower reaches of Heihe River where the depth of groundwater table is the controlling factor in sustaining riparian ecosystems. To reveal leaf-related physiological responses of Populus euphratica Oliv. forest to groundwater table variations, we analyzed the relationships between the depth of groundwater table (DG) and three leaf-related parameters, i.e. leaf stomatal density (SD), specific leaf area (SLA), and stable carbon isotopic composition (δ 13 C). Our results show that the relationship between DG and leaf SD is a bi-mode one shaped by both salt stress and water stress. That is, salt stress appeared in shallow groundwater conditions and water stress happened in deep groundwater conditions, and the thin layer around 2.7 m of DG is a stress-free layer. Leaf SD fluctuated according to the DG variation, first decreased with increasing DG, then increased at depths ranging 2.7-3.7 m, and after a relatively stable plateau of SD at depths ranging 3.7-5.2 m, decreased again with increasing DG. Our results also show that SLA decreased exponentially with increasing DG and foliar δ 13 C values are also strongly dependent on DG, further demonstrating that these two parameters are sensitive indicators of water stress. The exponential curve suggests that SLA is more sensitive to DG when groundwater table is shallow and 3 m seems to be a threshold beyond which SLA becomes less sensitive to DG. Foliar δ 13 C becomes more sensitive when the groundwater table is deep and 7 m seems to be a threshold below which the δ 13 C signature becomes more sensitive to DG. 7Relationships among hamstring muscle optimal length and hamstring flexibility and strength显示文摘Background:Hamstring muscle strain injury(hamstring injury) due to excessive muscle strain is one of the most common injuries in sports.The relationships among hamstring muscle optimal lengths and hamstring flexibility and strength were unknown,which limited our understanding of risk factors for hamstring injury.This study was aimed at examining the relationships among hamstring muscle optimal length and flexibility and strength.Methods:Hamstring flexibility and isokinetic strength data and three-dimensional kinematic data for hamstring isokinetic tests were collected for11 male and 10 female recreational athletes.The maximal hamstring muscle forces,optimal lengths,and muscle lengths in standing were determined for each participant.Results:Hamstring muscle optimal lengths were significantly correlated to hamstring flexibility score and gender,but not to hamstring strength.The greater the flexibility score,the longer the hamstring muscle optimal length.With the same flexibility score,females tend to have shorter hamstring optimal muscle lengths compared to males.Hamstring flexibility score and hamstring strength were not correlated.Hamstring muscle optimal lengths were longer than but not significantly correlated to corresponding hamstring muscle lengths in standing.Conclusion:Hamstring flexibility may affect hamstring muscle maximum strain in movements.With similar hamstring flexibility,hamstring muscle maximal strain in a given movement may be different between genders.Hamstring muscle lengths in standing should not be used as an approximation of their optimal lengths in calculation of hamstring muscle strain in musculoskeletal system modeling.Xianglin Wan Feng Qu William E.Garrett Hui Liu Bing Yu 2017Journal of Sport and Health Science2017,6,3:6
8Effects of flexibility and strength training on peak hamstring musculotendinous strains during sprinting显示文摘Background:Hamstring injury is one of the most common injuries in sports involving sprinting.Hamstring flexibility and strength are often considered to be modifiable risk factors in hamstring injury.Understanding the effects of hamstring flexibility or strength training on the biomechanics of the hamstring muscles during sprinting could assist in improving prevention strategies and rehabilitation related to these injuries.The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of altering hamstring flexibility or strength on peak hamstring musculotendinous strain during sprinting.Methods:A total of 20 male college students(aged 18-24 years)participated and were randomly assigned to either a flexibility intervention group or a strength intervention group.Each participant executed exercise training 3 times a week for 8 weeks.Flexibility,sprinting,and isokinetic strength testing were performed before and after the 2 interventions.Paired t tests were performed to determine hamstring flexibility or strength intervention effects on optimal hamstring musculotendinous lengths and peak hamstring musculotendinous strains during sprinting.Results:Participants in the flexibility intervention group significantly increased the optimal musculotendinous lengths of the semimembranosus and biceps long head(p<0.026)and decreased peak musculotendinous strains in all 3 bi-articulate hamstring muscles(p<0.004).Participants in the strength-intervention group significantly increased the optimal musculotendinous lengths of all 3 hamstring muscles(p<0.041)and significantly decreased their peak musculotendinous strain during sprinting(p<0.017).Conclusion:Increasing hamstring flexibility or strength through exercise training may assist in reducing the risk of hamstring injury during sprinting for recreational male athletes.Xianglin Wan Shangxiao Li Thomas M.Best Hui Liu Hanjun Li Bing Yu 2021Journal of Sport and Health Science2021,10,2:6
9Relationship between P-glycoprotein and CD44 expression in esophageal carcinoma显示文摘Objective: To investigate the relationship between P-glycoprotein (P-gp) and adhesion molecule CD44 expression as well as their clinical significance in esophageal carcinoma. Methods: To examine the expressed level of P-gp and CD44 by flow cytometry (FCM) in the operated samples of 70 cases with esophageal carcinoma and their normal mucosa of esophageal incision, and to evaluate their relationship with clinicopathological factors. Results: Among the 70 cases with esophageal car- cinoma, the expression of P-gp in the 27 cases (38.6%) was negative (positive cells <25%); 11 cases (15.7%) were 25%–40% expression of P-gp positive cells; 14 cases (20%) were 41%–60% expression of P-gp positive cells; 18 cases (25.7%) were the high expression (positive cells >60%) of P-gp. Of the cases with the tumor sizes being more than 4 cm, the expression of CD44 showed a significant difference (P<0.05) in 25 cases with P-gp positive, compared with 19 cases with P-gp negative. Of the cases with high-mild differentiated esophageal carcinoma, the expression of CD44 showed a significant difference (P<0.05) in 22 cases with P-gp positive, compared with 17 cases with P-gp negative. Of the cases with clinical III--IV stage, the expression of CD44 showed a significant difference (P<0.05) in 26 cases with P-gp positive, compared with 10 cases with P-gp negative. Of the cases with lymph node metastasis, the CD44 expression showed a significant difference (P=0.050) in 27 cases with P-gp positive, compared with 11 cases with P-gp negative. Of the cases of the patients’ age being more than 56 years, the expression of CD44 showed a significant difference (P<0.01) in 27 cases with P-gp positive, compared with 12 cases with P-gp negative. When the P-gp and CD44 expression were positive, the clinical II stage and III–IV stage in esophageal carcinoma was showed a significant difference (P<0.05). 10The effect of hamstring flexibility on peak hamstring muscle strain in sprinting显示文摘Background:The effect of hamstring flexibility on the peak hamstring muscle strains in sprinting,until now,remained unknown,which limited our understanding of risk factors of hamstring muscle strain injury(hamstring injury).As a continuation of our previous study,this study was aimed to examine the relationship between hamstring flexibility and peak hamstring muscle strains in sprinting.Methods:Ten male and 10 female college students participated in this study.Hamstring flexibility,isokinetic strength data,three-dimensional(3D)kinematic data in a hamstring isokinetic test,and kinematic data in a sprinting test were collected for each participant.The optimal hamstring muscle lengths and peak hamstring muscle strains in sprinting were determined for each participant.Results:The muscle strain of each of the 3 biarticulated hamstring muscles reached a peak during the late swing phase.Peak hamstring muscle strains were negatively correlated to hamstring flexibility(0.1179 ≤ R2≤ 0.4519,p = 0.001) but not to hip and knee joint positions at the time of peak hamstring muscle strains.Peak hamstring muscle strains were not different for different genders.Peak muscle strains of biceps long head(0.071 ± 0.059) and semitendinosus(0.070 ± 0.055) were significantly greater than that of semimembranosus(0.064 ± 0.054).Conclusion:A potential for hamstring injury exists during the late swing phase of sprinting.Peak hamstring muscle strains in sprinting are negatively correlated to hamstring flexibility across individuals.The magnitude of peak muscle strains is different among hamstring muscles in sprinting,which may explain the different injury rate among hamstring muscles.Xianglin Wan Feng Qu William E.Garrett Hui Liu Bing Yu 2017Journal of Sport and Health Science2017,6,3:5

12Construction of cDNA library from iron-deficiency induced maize roots and screening and identification of iron-stress gene Fdr3显示文摘To isolate Fe-deficient related (Fdr) genes, an expression cDNA library of 4.5×105 pfu/μg has been constructed from maize roots in iron-stress. 6 clones have been screened from the cDNA library by differential hybridization screening. 13Novel Non-Coplanar and Tertbutyl-Substituted Polyimides:Solubility,Optical,Thermal and Dielectric Properties显示文摘A novel aromatic diamine monomer bearing tertbutyl and 4-tertbutylphenyl groups,3,3'-ditertbutyl-4,4'-diaminodiphenyl-4''-tertbutylphenylmethane(TADBP),was prepared and characterized.A series of non-coplanar polyimides(PIs)were synthesized via a conventional one-step polycondensation from TADBP and various aromatic dianhydrides including pyromellitic dianhydride(PMDA),3,3',4,4'-biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride(BPDA),4,4'-oxydiphthalic anhydride(OPDA),3,3',4,4'-benzophenone tetracarboxylic dianhydride(BTDA)and 4,4'-(hexafluoroisopropylidene)dipthalic anhydride(6FDA).All PIs exhibit excellent solubility in common organic solvents such as N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF),N,N-dimethylacetamide(DMAc),N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone(NMP),dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO),chloroform(CHCl3),tetrahydrofuran(THF),and so on.Furthermore,the obtained transparent,strong and flexible polyimide films present good thermal stability and outstanding optical properties.Their glass transition temperatures(Tgs)are in the range of 298 to 347℃,and 10%weight loss temperatures are in excess of 490℃with more than 53%char yield at 800℃in nitrogen.All the polyimides can be cast into transparent and flexible films with tensile strength of 80.5-101 MPa,elongation at break of 8.4%-10.5%,and Young's modulus of 2.3-2.8 GPa.Meanwhile,the PIs show the cutoff wavelengths of 302-356 nm,as well as low moisture absorption(0.30%-0.55%)and low dielectric constant(2.78-3.12 at 1 MHz).Chanjuan Liu Xianglin Pei Xiaohua Huang Chun Wei Xiaoyi Sun 2015Chinese Journal of Chemistry2015,33,2:4
14Onshore-offshore wind energy resource evaluation based on synergetic use of multiple satellite data and meteorological stations in Jiangsu Province,China显示文摘The demand for efficient and cost-effective renewable energy is increasing as traditional sources of energy such as oil,coal,and natural gas,can no longer satisfy growing global energy demands.Among renewable energies,wind energy is the most prominent due to its low, manageable impacts on the local environment.Based on meteorological data from 2006 to 2014 and multi-source satellite data (i.e.,Advanced Scatterometer,Quick Scatterometer,and Windsat)from 1999 to 2015,an assessment of the onshore and offshore wind energy potential in Jiangsu Province was performed by calculating the average wind speed,average wind direction,wind power density, and annual energy production (AEP).Results show that Jiangsu has abundant wind energy resources,which increase from inland to coastal areas.In-onshore areas, wind power density is predominantly less than 200 W/m^2, while in offshore areas,wind power density is concentrates in the range of 328-500 W/m^2.Onshore areas comprise more than 13,573.24 km^2,mainly located in eastern coastal regions with good wind farm potential The total wind power capacity in onshore areas could be as much as 2.06×10^5 GWh.Meanwhile,offshore wind power generation in Jiangsu Province is calculated to reach 2×10^6 GWh, which is approximately four times the electricity demand of the entire Jiangsu Province.This study validates the effective application of Advanced Scatterometer,Quick Scatterometer,and Windsat data to coastal wind energy monitoring in Jiangsu.Moreover,the methodology used in this study can be effectively applied to other similar coastal zones.Xianglin WEI Yuewei DUAN Yongxue LIU Song JIN Chao SUN 2019Frontiers of Earth Science2019,13,1:4

16A comparative investigation into floatability of bastnaesite with three di/trialkyl phosphate surfactants显示文摘Flotation separation and recovery of rare earth minerals(REM) have returned to an important position due to the growing strategy demand for rare earth elements(REE).In this paper,a comparative investigation into the floatability of bastnaesite((Ce,La)FCO3) was conducted by using three di/trialkyl phosphate collectors,di(2-ethylhexyl) phosphate(DEHPA),dibutyl phosphate(DBP) and tributyl phosphate(TBP).The density functional theory(DFT) computation recommends that the chemical activity of the three phosphate collectors is in order of DEHPA≥ DBP >> TBP,and their hydrophobization assuggested by the IgP(oil-water partition coefficient) value is in the order of DEHPA> TBP> DBP.The micro-flotation indicates that the preferable pH values for flotation of bastnaesite with the three phosphate collectors are 7.0-8.0,and DEHPA achieves much higher flotation recovery of bastnaesite,followed by DBP,and then TBP,which coincides with their reactivity and hydrophobicity,the two prerequisites for froth flotation.The contact angle,zeta potential,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) deduce that DEHPA likely reacts with the Ce(Ⅲ)atoms of bastnaesite interface through its O atom(s) of the P(=O)-O-group to generate the Ce-O-P bonds,and its two 2-ethylhexyl groups orient outside for attaching bubbles,resulting in flotation enrichment of bastnaesite.Furthermore,this investigation offers a novel strategy for developing collectors in selective beneficiation of REM.Hongli Fan Xianglin Yang Jing Qi Guangyi Liu Jingqin Qin 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,11:3

20A cellular response protein induced during HSV-1 infection inhibits viral replication by interacting with ATF5显示文摘Studies of herpes simplex virus type 1(HSV-1)infection have shown that many known and unknown cellular molecules involved in viral proliferation are up-regulated following HSV-1 infection.In this study,using two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis,we found that the expression of the HSV-1 infection response repressive protein(HIRRP,GI 16552881)was up-regulated in human L02 cells infected with HSV-1.HIRRP,an unknown protein,was initially localized in the cytoplasm and then translocated into the nucleus of HSV-1-infected cells.Further analysis showed that HIRRP represses HSV-1proliferation by inhibiting transcription of the viral genome by interacting with the cellular transcription factor,ATF5,via its N-terminal domain.ATF5 represses the transcription of many host genes but can also act as an activator of genes containing a specific motif.We found that ATF5 promotes the proliferation of HSV-1 via a potential mechanism by which ATF5 enhances the transcription of viral genes during the course of an HSV-1 infection;HIRRP then induces feedback repression of this transcription by interacting with ATF5.WU LianQiu ZHANG XueMei CHE YanChun ZHANG Ying TANG SongQing LIAO Yun NA RuiXiong XIONG XiangLin LIU LongDing LI QiHan 2013Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,12:2
