1A life support-based comprehensive treatment regimen dramatically lowers the in-hospital mortality of patients with fulminant myocarditis: a multiple center study显示文摘Fulminant myocarditis(FM) has unacceptable high mortality. This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of a life support-based comprehensive treatment regimen(LSBCTR), a completely novel treatment regimen, for FM. A total of 169 FM patients recruited from January 2008 to December 2018 were divided into two groups: patients receiving LSBCTR(81 cases),which includes(i) mechanical life support(positive pressure respiration, intra-aortic balloon pump with or without extracorporeal membrane oxygenation),(ii) immunomodulation therapy using sufficient doses of glucocorticoids and immunoglobulins, and(iii) application of neuraminidase inhibitors, and those receiving conventional treatment(88 cases). The endpoints were in-hospital death and heart-transplantation. Of all the population, 44 patients(26.0%) died in hospitals. Inhospital mortality was 3.7%(3/81) for LSBCTR group and 46.6%(41/88) for traditional treatment(P<0.001). Early application of LSBCTR, mechanical life support, neuraminidase inhibitors, and immunomodulation therapy significantly contributed to reduction in in-hospital mortality. This study describes a novel treatment regimen for FM patients that dramatically reduces inhospital mortality. 2Can acupuncture therapy reduce preoperative anxiety?A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Background:Acupuncture therapy has shown promise for effectively relieving preoperative anxiety.Nevertheless,previous findings from randomized controlled trials(RCTs)are inconsistent and must be examined in detail.Objective:This study systematically evaluates the efficacy and safety of acupuncture therapy for preoperative anxiety as well as the quality of evidence supporting this application.Search strategy:The China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database,Wanfang Data Journal Database,Chinese Biomedical Literature Database,Chongqing VIP,Embase,Pub Med and Cochrane Library Databases were queried from their inception to 19,February 2020,using keywords such as“acupuncture therapy,”“preoperative”and“anxioty.”Manual searches expanded the search breadth and included conference abstracts and other reference lists.Inclusion criteria:RCTs were included in the current study if they contained a comparison between a group of anxiety patients that received acupuncture therapy and a control group that received sham acupuncture.Data extraction and analysis:Literature was reviewed,and various articles were selected using the Note Express 3.2.0 software.Two researchers independently screened and extracted data and evaluated the risk of bias in the included studies.The Rev Man 5.3 software was used for data aggregation and the Grades of Recommendation,Assessment,Development and Evaluation(GRADE)assessment was used to evaluate the quality of the study outcomes.Results:Twelve studies were included in the review,containing a total of 916 patients.Meta-analysis showed that,compared with the control group,patients who received acupuncture therapy had reduced State-Trait Anxiety Inventory Scale(STAI-S)score(mean difference[MD]=–9.07,95%confidence interval[CI][–13.19 to–4.96],P<0.0001)and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score(MD=–1.37,95%CI[–2.29 to–0.45],P=0.003).However,for the Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)score,there was no difference between the two groups(MD=–3.98,95%CI[–12.89 to 4.92],P=0.38).Further,the GRADE assessment demonstrated that the STAI-S was of moderate quality,the VAS of low quality and the HAMA of very low quality.Conclusion:Acupuncture therapy may be able to decrease anxiety in preoperative patients,but the results need to be further verified due to the small sample sizes and the low quality of evidence to date.Qiu-yu Tong Ran Liu Kun Zhang Yuan G ao Guang-wei Cui Wei-dong Shen 2021Journal of Integrative Medicine2021,19,1:15
3Serine metabolism orchestrates macrophage polarization by regulating the IGF1–p38 axis显示文摘Serine metabolism is reportedly involved in immune cell functions, but whether and how serine metabolism regulates macrophage polarization remain largely unknown. Here, we show that suppressing serine metabolism, either by inhibiting the activity of the key enzyme phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase in the serine biosynthesis pathway or by exogenous serine and glycine restriction, robustly enhances the polarization of interferon-γ-activated macrophages (M(IFN-γ)) but suppresses that of interleukin-4-activated macrophages (M(IL-4)) both in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, serine metabolism deficiency increases the expression of IGF1 by reducing the promoter abundance of S-adenosyl methionine-dependent histone H3 lysine 27 trimethylation. IGF1 then activates the p38-dependent JAK–STAT1 axis to promote M(IFN-γ) polarization and suppress STAT6-mediated M(IL-4) activation. 5MAGI3 Suppresses Glioma Cell Proliferation via Upregulation of PTEN Expression显示文摘Objective To investigate the role and molecular mechanism of membrane-associated guanylate kinase inverted 3(MAGI3) in glioma cell proliferation. Methods The expression levels of MAGI3 and PTEN were assessed in glioma samples by Western blotting. MAGI3 was stably transfected into C6 glioma cells to obtain C6-MAGI3 cells. Then, the proliferation, the expression levels of MAGI3 and PTEN, and Akt phosphorylation were evaluated in C6 and C6-MAGI3 cells. Xenograft tumor models were established by subcutaneous injection of C6 and C6-MAGI3 cells into nude mice, and the growth rates of xenografts in the mice were compared. The potential role of MAGI3 expression in PI3K/Akt signaling activation was further investigated by examining the correlation between MAGI3 expression and the expression of PI3K/Akt signaling downstream target genes in a glioma dataset using gene set enrichment analysis(GSEA). Results Expression levels of MAGI3 and PTEN were significantly downregulated in gliomas. Overexpression of MAGI3 in the glioma C6 cell line upregulated PTEN protein expression, inhibited the phosphorylation of Akt, and suppressed cell proliferation. MAGI3 overexpression also inhibited the growth of C6 glioma tumor xenografts in nude mice. Analysis based on the GEO database confirmed the negative correlation between activation of PI3K/Akt pathway and MAGI3 mR NA levels in human glioma samples. Conclusion The loss of MAGI3 expression in glioma may enhance the proliferation of glioma cells via downregulation of PTEN expression, leading to the activation of the PI3K/Akt pathway. 6Relationship Between Polyamines Metabolism and Cell Death in Roots of Malus hupehensis Rehd. Under Cadmium Stress显示文摘The free putrescine (Put) content, the hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ) content and the polyamine oxidase (PAO) activity in roots of Malus hupehensis Rehd. var. pinyiensis Jiang (PYTC) were significantly increased, and reached its peak at 1, 2 and 6 h, respectively, under cadmium treatment. The free spermine (Spm) and spermidine (Spd) contents were dramatically decreased, and reached the minimum value at 4-6 h, then remained relatively stable. The change in total free polyamines (PAs) content was consistent with that of free Put. The number of root dead cells was gradually increased after treatment for 24 h, and the typical characteristics of programmed cell death (PCD) were displayed at 48 h. Throughout the Cd treatment process, changes in PAs metabolism appeared to be prior to cell death increase, and the H 2 O 2 content was always maintained at a high level. 9Quantum chemical study on the abstraction reaction of alkylidenegermylene with oxirane and thiirane显示文摘The mechanisms of theion reaction of alkylidenegermylene with oxirane and thiirane have been characterized detail in using density functional theory, as well as ab initio method, including geometry optimization and vibrational analysis for the involved stationary points on the potential energy surface. Energies were calculated by CCSD(T)/6-311G(d)//B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) method for the involved conformations. The results show that the reaction pathways for both reactions consist of two ways: (1) the reactants can yield bent products (P1; P4) by syn-isomers; (2) the reactants can also yield three-membered products (P2; P5) by anti-isomers, which then further react with oxirane and thiirane to form the ultimate products (P3-1, P3-2; P6). 11Identification of quantitative trait loci and candidate genes controlling seed pigments of rapeseed显示文摘Rapeseed(Brassica napus L.)is an important source of edible vegetable oil and feed protein;however,seed pigments affect the quality of rapeseed oil and the feed value of the residue from oil pressing.Here,we used a population of rapeseed recombinant inbred lines(RILs)derived from the black-seeded male parent cultivar Zhongyou 821 and the yellow-seeded female parent line GH06 to map candidate genes controlling seed pigments in embryos and the seed coat.We detected 94 quantitative trait loci(QTLs)for seed pigments(44 for embryos and 50 for seed coat),distributed over 15 of the 19 rapeseed chromosomes.These included 28 QTLs for anthocyanidin content,explaining 2.41–44.66% of phenotypic variation;24 QTLs for flavonoid content,explaining 2.41–20.26% of phenotypic variation;16 QTLs for total phenol content,accounting for 2.74–23.68% of phenotypic variation;and 26 QTLs for melanin content,accounting for 2.37–24.82% of phenotypic variation,indicating that these traits are under multigenic control.Consensus regions on chromosomes A06,A09 and C08 were associated with multiple seed pigment traits,including 15,19 and 10 QTLs,respectively,most of which were major QTLs explaining>10% of the phenotypic variation.Based on the annotation of the B.napus'Darmor-bzh'reference genome,67 candidate genes were predicted from these consensus QTLs regions,and 12 candidate genes were identified as potentially involved in pigment accumulation by RNA-seq and qRT-PCR analysis.These preliminary results provide insight into the genetic architecture of pigment biosynthesis and lay a foundation for exploring the molecular mechanisms underlying seed coat color in B.napus.ZHU Mei-chen HU Ran ZHAO Hui-yan TANG Yun-shan SHI Xiang-tian JIANG Hai-yan ZHANG Zhi-yuan FU Fu-you XU Xin-fu TANG Zhang-lin LIU Lie-zhao LU Kun LI Jia-na QU Cun-min 2021Journal of Integrative Agriculture2021,20,11:1
12Phosphate-induced interfacial electronic engineering in VPO_(4)-Ni_(2)P heterostructure for improved electrochemical water oxidation显示文摘Anodic oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is the key bottleneck for water electrolysis technique owing to its sluggish reaction kinetics.Interfacial engineering on the rationally designed heterostructure can regulate the electronic states efficiently for intrinsic activity improvement.Here,we report a co-phosphorization approach to construct a VPO_(4)-Ni_(2)P heterostructure on nickel foam with strongly chemical binding,wherein phosphate acts as electronic modifier for Ni_(2)P electrocatalyst.Profiting from the interfacial interaction,it is uncovered that electron shifts from Ni_(2)P to VPO_(4)to render valence increment in Ni species.Such an electronic manipulation rationalizes the chemical affinities of various oxygen intermediates in OER pathway,giving a substantially reduced energy barrier.As a result,the advanced VPO_(4)-Ni_(2)P heterostructure only requires an overpotential of 289 mV to deliver a high current density of 350 mA/cm^(2)for OER in alkaline electrolyte,together with a Tafel slope as low as 28 mV/dec.This work brings fresh insights into interfacial engineering for advanced electrocatalyst design.Kun Chen Keke Mao Yu Bai Delong Duan Shuangming Chen Chengming Wang Ning Zhang Ran Long Xiaojun Wu Li Song Yujie Xiong 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,1:1

15The Effect of Different Potassium Fertilizers on Fruit Flavor Quality of ‘Xinliqihao’ Pear显示文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to investigate the effects of different types of potassium fertilizers on the flavor and quality of pear fruit.[Methods] With ‘Xinliqihao’ as a research object,such three treatments as potassium sulfate (T1),potassium nitrate (T2) and potassium chloride (T3) were set up,with no application of potassium fertilizer as control (CK).All the fertilizers were applied into soil in the growing season.[Results] The total sugar content of ‘Xinliqihao’ was significantly higher in the potassium fertilizer treatments than that of the control.The total sugar content of T 2 (the potassium sulfate treatment) was the highest,which was 34.55% higher than that of the control,sequentially followed by T3 (the potassium nitrate treatment) and T1 (the potassium chloride treatment).The contents of fructose,glucose and sucrose in the potassium sulfate treatment were all the highest,which were 15.96%,27.32% and 52.81% higher than those of the potassium chloride treatment,respectively,and 11.36%,27.75% and 20.45% higher than the potassium nitrate treatment,respectively.The total acid content of ‘Xinliqihao’ fruit treated with different types of potassium fertilizers was higher than that of the control.The total acid content of the potassium nitrate treatment was the highest,which was 103.68% higher than that of the control,sequentially followed by the potassium sulfate treatment and the potassium chloride treatment.Both the control and potassium treatments of ‘Xinliqihao’ had the highest malic acid content,and except the potassium chloride treatment with the lowest fumaric acid content,other treatments all had the lowest tartaric acid content.Different types of potassium fertilizer treatments had different effects on the organic acid content of ‘Xinliqihao’ fruit.The types and contents of volatile aroma substances in the fruit of ‘Xinliqihao’ treated with potassium fertilizers were significantly higher than the control.The aroma substances in ‘Xinliqihao’ differed among different potassium fertilizer treatments.Specifically,78 kinds of aroma substances were detected in the potassium chloride treatment,and the total content of aroma components was the highest at 746.609 ng/g in the fruit of the potassium sulfate treatment.[Conclusions] The potassium fertilizer treatments improved the flavor and quality of ‘Xinliqihao’ pear fruit,and the potassium sulfate treatment exhibited the best effects.Shuwei WEI Shaomin WANG Xiaochang DONG Yong ZHANG Ran DONG Kun RAN Hongwei WANG 2019Agricultural Biotechnology2019,8,5:1

17Preparation of Titanium-based Polyoxometalatxiue-ionic Liquid Catalysts and Application in the Synthesis of Degradable Polyester显示文摘Three kinds of Keggin-type titanium-based polyoxometalate-ionic liquid catalysts were prepared,and the chemical structure,crystal structure and thermal stability of the three catalysts were analyzed and tested by infrared spectrometer,ultraviolet-visible spectrometer,X-ray diffractometer,and thermogravimetric analyzer,respectively.Afterwards,their performance in catalyzing the coupling reaction of ethylene carbonate(EC)and dimethyl succinate(DMSu)to synthesize polyethylene succinate(PES)was studied,and the effects of different metals on the catalytic performance and the mechanism of action were discussed.The optimal process parameters for the coupling reaction were explored.Finally,the chemical structure of PES was characterized by infrared spectrometer.The results show that under the same process parameters,the polyoxometalate-ionic liquid catalyst Bmim_(5)[Ti(H_(2)O)TiMo_(11)O_(39)]had the best catalytic effect.Under the optimal process parameters,Bmim_(5)[Ti(H_(2)O)TiMo_(11)O_(39)]had obvious inhibitory effect on side reactions,and the yield and selectivity of PES prepolymer were up to 72.23%and 88.64%.Ran CHEN Changyuan YU Liying GUO Kun LIU Xiudan ZHAO Zezhong JIANG 2022Meteorological and Environmental Research2022,13,4:1
18A novel missense variant in ACAA1 contributes to early-onset Alzheimer’s disease,impairs lysosomal function,and facilitates amyloid-p pathology and cognitive decline显示文摘Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is characterized by progressive synaptic dysfunction,neuronal death,and brain atrophy,with amyloid-p(Ap)plaque deposits and hyperphosphorylated tau neurofibrillary tangle accumulation in the brain tissue,which all lead to loss of cognitive function.Pathogenic mutations in the well-known AD causal genes including APP,PSEN1,and PSEN2 impair a variety of pathways,including protein processing,axonal transport,and metabolic homeostasis.Here we identified a missense variant rs117916664(c.896T>C,p.Asn299Ser[p.N299S])of the acetyl-CoA acyltransferase 1(ACM1)gene in a Han Chinese AD family by whole-genome sequencing and validated its association with early-onset familial AD in an independent cohort.Further in vitro and in vivo evidence showed that ACAA1 p.N299S contributes to AD by disturbing its enzymatic activity,impairing lysosomal function,and aggravating the Ap pathology and neuronal loss,which finally caused cognitive impairment in a murine model.Our findings reveal a fundamental role of peroxisome-mediated lysosomal dysfunction in AD pathogenesis.Rongcan Luo Yu Fan Jing Yang Maosen Ye Deng-Feng Zhang Kun Guo Xiao Li Rui Bi Min Xu Lu-Xiu Yang Yu Li Xiaoqian Ran Hong-Yan Jiang Chen Zhang Liwen Tan Nengyin Sheng Yong-Gang Yao 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,9:1
