1水分胁迫下外源ABA提高甘蔗抗旱性的作用机制显示文摘以抗旱甘蔗品种ROC22为材料,调查水分胁迫及胁迫加喷施脱落酸(ABA)对甘蔗内源ABA合成及相关生理生化作用的影响。结果表明,干旱及干旱加外施ABA的条件下,甘蔗内源ABA合成水平上升,但干旱加ABA处理增幅更显著,甘蔗叶内的脯氨酸(Pro)、H2O2、丙二醛(MDA)含量增加,而ABA处理能缓解MDA的积累,使其含量处于低水平,ABA处理能防止叶绿素降解并对干旱引起的最大光能转化效率(Fv/Fm)、PSII实际量子效率(ΦPSII)下降有明显的缓解作用。干旱条件下,H2O2的积累伴随着抗氧化作用的酶CAT、GPX、GR和APX的活性提高,而ABA处理能进一步提高这些相关酶的活性而逐渐降低H2O2的含量,表明干旱条件下,外施ABA能增强甘蔗的抗氧化防护系统,提高抗旱性。李长宁 Manoj Kumar SRIVASTAVA 农倩 李杨瑞 2010作物学报2010,36,5:73
2Mechanism and its regulation of tumor-induced angiogenesis显示文摘Tumor angiogenesis is the proliferation of a network of blood vessels that penetrates into cancerous growths, supplying nutrients and oxygen and removing waste products. The process of angiogenesis plays an important role in many physiological and pathological conditions. Solid tumors depend on angiogenesis for growth and metastasis in a hostile environment. In the prevascular phase, the tumor is rarely larger than 2 to 3 mm3 and may contain a million or more cells. Up to this size, tumor cells can obtain the necessary oxygen and nutrient supplies required for growth and survival by simple passive diffusion. The properties of tumors to release and induce several angiogenic and antiangiogenic factors which play crucial roles in regulating endothelial cell (EC) proliferation, migration, apoptosis or survival, cell-cell and cell-matrix adhesion through different intracellular signaling are thought to be the essential mechanisms during tumor-induced angiogenesis. Tumor angiogenesis actually starts with tumor cells releasing molecules that send signals to surrounding normal host tissue. This signaling activates certain genes in the host tissue that, in turn, make proteins to encourage growth of new blood vessels. In this review, we focus the mechanisms of tumor-induced angiogenesis, with an emphasis on the regulatory role of several angiogenic and anti-angiogenic agents during the angiogenic process in tumors. Advances in understanding the mechanisms of tumor angiogenesis have led to the development of several most effective antiangiogenic and anti-metastatic therapeutic agents and also have provided several techniques for the regulation of cancer's angiogenic switch. 3生长抑素受体2基因转染抑制胰腺肿瘤细胞生长机制的探讨显示文摘目的 探讨生长抑素受体 2 (SSTR2 )基因转染抑制体内胰腺肿瘤生长的效果及其机制。方法 利用lipofectAMINE将人类SSTR2全长cDNA转染导入胰腺癌细胞株PC 3中 ,G4 18筛选出阳性克隆 ;免疫组织化学SABC法和RT PCR检测生长抑素受体 2的稳定表达。分别将表达生长抑素受体2的PC 3细胞 (实验组 )和空载体对照组及阴性对照组的PC 3细胞异种移植到无胸腺小鼠体内。TUNEL法测定这些细胞形成的胰腺肿瘤细胞凋亡指数 (AI) ;免疫组织化学SP法测定凋亡相关基因Bcl 2和Bax的表达 ,以及肿瘤微血管密度 (MVD)。另外 ,比较 3组裸鼠之间胰腺肿瘤的大小和重量。结果 实验组胰腺肿瘤细胞AI(3 39%± 0 84 % )显著高于空载体对照组 (0 6 9%± 0 0 8% )和阴性对照组 (0 6 8%± 0 0 9% ) (P <0 0 5 )。与空载体对照组和阴性对照组相比 ,实验组Bcl 2蛋白表达显著降低 ,Bax蛋白的表达则显著升高 (P <0 0 5 ) ;实验组MVD(6 3± 1 7)显著低于空载体对照组 (12 6±1 7)和阴性对照组 (13 5± 1 9) (P <0 0 5 )。另外 ,实验组胰腺肿瘤的大小和重量也显著低于空载体对照组和阴性对照组 (P <0 0 5 )。空载体对照组与阴性对照组之间未观测到任何有差异的指标 (P >0 0 5 )。结论 大多数人胰腺癌细胞中缺失SSTR2基因 ,生长抑?Kumar Manoj 刘正人 田锐 秦仁义 2004中华医学杂志2004,84,9:25
4Alteration of somatostatin receptor subtype 2 gene expression in pancreatic tumor angiogenesis显示文摘AIM: To explore the difference of somatostatin receptor subtype 2 (SST2R) gene expression in pancreatic cancerous tissue and its adjacent tissue, and the relationship between the change of SST2R gene expression and pancreatic tumor angiogenesis related genes. METHODS: The expressions of SST2R, DPC4, p53 and ras genes in cancer tissues of 40 patients with primary pancreatic cancer, and the expression of SST2R gene in its adjacent tissue were determined by immunohistochemiscal LSAB method and EnVisionTM method. Chi-square test was used to analyze the difference in expression of SST2R in pancreatic cancer tissue and its adjacent tissue, and the correlation of SST2R gene expression with the expression of p53, ras and DPC4 genes.RESULTS: Of the tissue specimens from 40 patients with primary pancreatic cancer, 35 (87.5%) cancer tissues showeda negative expression of SST2R gene, whereas 34 (85%) a positive expression of SST2R gene in its adjacent tissues. Five (12.5%) cancer tissues and its adjacent tissues simultaneously expressed SST2R. The expression of SST2R gene was markedly higher in pancreatic tissues adjacent to cancer than in pancreatic cancer tissues (P<0.05). The expression rates of p53, ras and DPC4 genes were 50%,60% and 72.5%, respectively. There was a significant negative correlation of SST2R with p53 and ras genes x1^2=9.33,x2^2=15.43, P<0.01), but no significant correlation with DPC4 gene x2=2.08, P >0.05). CONCLUSION: There was a significant difference of SST2R gene expression in pancreatic cancer tissues and its adjacent tissues, which might be one cause for the different therapeutic effects of somatostatin and its analogs on pancreatic cancer patients. There were abnormal expressions of SST2R, DPC4, p53 and ras genes in pancreatic carcinogenesis, and moreover, the loss or decrease of SST2R gene expression was significantly negatively correlated with the overexpression of tumor angiogenesis correlated p53 and ras genes, suggesting that SST2R gene together with p53 and ras genes may participate in pancreatic cancerous angiogenesis.Manoj Kumar Gupta 2004World Journal of Gastroenterology2004,10,1:26
5Survivin expression induced by doxorubicin in cholangiocarcinoma显示文摘AIM:To study the role of survivin expression induced by chemotherapy agent (doxorubicin) in the development and anti-chemotherapy of cholangiocarcinoma.METHODS:Expression of survivin was detected by SP immunohistochemical technique in 33 cases of cholangiocarcinorna,28 cases of adjacent noncancerous bile duct, and 5 cases of benign bile duct lesions. Low concentration of doxorubicin (0.05mg/l) was added in cultured cholangiocarcinoma cell line (QBC939). The expression of survivin was detected by RT-PCR and Western blot at 24h and 48h after adding doxorubicin.RESULTS:Survivin was expressed in 24 of 33 cholangiocarcinoma cases (72.7%).In contrast,no expression of survivin in adjacent noncancerous and benign bile duct lesions was observed (P<0.01). No correlation was found between survivin expression and clinical features.Doxorubicin could markedly (P<0.001) up-regulate survivin mRNA and protein expression of QBC939 cells.CONCLUSION:Overexpression of survivin in cholangiocarcinomas may play an important role in the development of cholangiocarcinoma, its relationship with prognosis of cholangiocarcinoma deserves further investigation. 8Molecular mechanism of noradrenaline during the stress-induced major depressive disorder显示文摘Chronic stress-induced depression is a common hallmark of many psychiatric disorders with high morbidity rate.Stress-induced dysregulation of noradrenergic system has been implicated in the pathogenesis of depression.Lack of monoamine in the brain has been believed to be the main causative factor behind pathophysiology of major depressive disorder(MDD) and several antidepressants functions by increasing the monoamine level at the synapses in the brain.However,it is undetermined whether the noradrenergic receptor stimulation is critical for the therapeutic effect of antidepressant.Contrary to noradrenergic receptor stimulation,it has been suggested that the desensitization of β-adrenoceptor is involved in the therapeutic effect of antidepressant.In addition,enhanced noradrenaline(NA) release is central response to stress and thought to be a risk factor for the development of MDD.Moreover,fast acting antidepressant suppresses the hyperactivation of noradrenergic neurons in locus coeruleus(LC).However,it is unclear how they alter the firing activity of LC neurons.These inconsistent reports about antidepressant effect of NA-reuptake inhibitors(NRIs) and enhanced release of NA as a stress response complicate our understanding about the pathophysiology of MDD.In this review,we will discuss the role of NA in pathophysiology of stress and the mechanism of therapeutic effect of NA in MDD.We will also discuss the possible contributions of each subtype of noradrenergic receptors on LC neurons,hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis(HPA-axis) and brain derived neurotrophic factor-induced hippocampal neurogenesis during stress and therapeutic effect of NRIs in MDD.Kenjiro Seki Satomi Yoshida Manoj Kumar Jaiswal 2018Neural Regeneration Research2018,13,7:10
9Gene transfer of somatostatin receptor type 2 by intratumoral injection inhibits established pancreatic carcinoma xenografts显示文摘AIM: To investigate the therapeutic effect of somatostatin receptor type 2 (SSTR2) gene transfection on pancreatic carcinoma xenograftsin vivo in experimental cancers.METHODS: Human pancreatic cancer cell line Panc-1 was inoculated subcutaneously into the back of nude mice. When tumor nodules were grown as large as about 5 mm×5 mm days after inoculation, the mice were randomly divided into 3 groups (6 mice in each group). Group Ⅰ served as untreated control group. Group Ⅱ received an intratumoral injection of a combination of human cytomegalovirus promoter-6C (pCMV-6C) and lipofectamine 2000. Group Ⅲ received an intratumoral injection of a combination of pCMV-6C-SSTR2 and lipofectamine 2000. The rate of tumor growth was compared among these three groups. The expression of SSTR2 in these tumors was detected by immunohistochemistry and Western-blot. Apoptosis index (AI) in these tumors was examined by using TUNEL in situ.RESULTS: Intratumoral injection of a combination of pCMV-6C-SSTR2 and lipofectamine 2000 resulted in the expression of SSTR2 protein. The tumor size and weight in group Ⅲ (0.318±0.098 cm3, and 0.523±0.090 g,respectively) were significantly lower than those in group Ⅰ (2.058±0.176 cm3, and 1.412±0.146 g, respectively) and group Ⅱ (2.025±0.163 cm3, and 1.365±0.116 g, respectively)(P<0.05) The AI in group Ⅲ (1.47±0.13%) was significantly higher than that in group Ⅰ (0.56±0.09%) and group Ⅱ (0.57±0.11%) (P<0.05). But there were no significant differences between groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ.CONCLUSION: Our data demonstrate that re-expression of SSTR2 gene has antitumor effects on experimental pancreatic cancer. 11水分胁迫下外源ABA对甘蔗叶绿素荧光特性的影响(英文)显示文摘以抗旱甘蔗品种ROC 22与不抗旱品种ROC 16为材料,研究水分胁迫条件下外源ABA对2个甘蔗品种叶片叶绿素含量及叶绿素荧光特性的影响。结果表明,水分胁迫下,ROC 16的叶绿素降解程度高于ROC 22,而外源ABA能够缓解这种降解作用;随着水分胁迫的加剧,两个甘蔗品种叶片的基础荧光(Fo)显著升高,PSⅡ原初光能转化效率(Fv/Fm)和PSⅡ的潜在活性(Fv/Fo)显著下降,光适应下PSⅡ最大光化学效率(Fv’/Fm’)、PSⅡ实际光化学效率(ΦPS2)、光化学猝灭系数(qP)显著下降,表明水分胁迫使甘蔗叶片PSⅡ反应中心受到伤害,施加外源ABA能部分减轻这种伤害,以对ROC 22作用尤为显著。Manoj Kumar Srivastava 李长宁 农倩 李杨瑞 2009广西农业科学2009,40,11:8
12硅肥对蔗地土壤性状、甘蔗叶片营养及产量的影响(英文)显示文摘【目的】在大棚条件下进行甘蔗硅肥施用量研究,阐明硅肥对甘蔗生长、营养以及土壤特性等的影响。【方法】以新台糖22号为试验材料,以每桶26gN+1.76gP+20gK为对照,设置T1~T6(20、40、60、80、120and150g/桶)6个不同硅肥用量,研究不同施硅水平对甘蔗的影响。【结果】硅肥处理的甘蔗+1叶N、P、Ca、Mg、Si含量较对照有一定提高,其中120g/桶处理的甘蔗+1叶含硅量比对照增加92%。不同施硅水平对甘蔗土壤理化性状具有显著影响,SOM和有效P较对照显著降低,120g/桶处理的有效Si含量较对照增加137%,150g/桶处理的交换性Ca和Mg分别较对照增加117.9%和86.0%,pH均有一定提高。硅肥处理对甘蔗株高和产量增加有显著影响,对甘蔗干物质和产糖量的提高也有促进作用,但不显著。【结论】硅肥对甘蔗生产以及土壤理化性状具有一定正效应,可结合常规施肥进一步推广从而提高甘蔗生产。黄海荣 徐林 BOKHTIAR S M MANOJ Kumar Srivastav 李杨瑞 杨丽涛 2011南方农业学报2011,42,7:8
13Phacoemulsification versus small incision cataract surgery in patients with uveitis显示文摘AIM: To compare the safety and efficacy of phacoemulsification and small incision cataract surgery(SICS) in patients with uveitic cataract.·METHODS: In a prospective, randomized multi-centric study, consecutive patients with uveitic cataract were randomized to receive phacoemulsification or manual SICS by either of two surgeons well versed with both the techniques. A minimum inflammation free period of 3mo(defined as less than 5 cells per high power field in anterior chamber) was a pre-requisite for eligibility for surgery. Superior scleral tunnel incisions were used for both techniques. Improvement in visual acuity post-operatively was the primary outcome measure and the rate of post-operative complications and surgical time were secondary outcome measures, respectively. Means of groups were compared using t-tests. One way analysis of variance(ANOVA) was used when there were more than two groups. Chi-square tests were used for proportions. Kaplan Meyer survival analysis was done and means for survival time was estimated at 95%confidence interval(CI). A P value of <0.05 was considered statistically significant.·RESULTS: One hundred and twenty-six of 139 patients(90.6%) completed the 6-month follow-up. Seven patients were lost in follow up and another six excluded due to either follow-up less than six months(n=1) or inability implant an intraocular lens(IOL) because of insufficient capsular support following posterior capsule rupture(n=5). There was significant improvement in vision after both the procedures(paired t-test; P <0.001). On first postoperative day, uncorrected distance visual acuity(UDVA) was 20/63 or better in 31(47%)patients in Phaco group and 26(43.3%) patients in SICS group(P=0.384). The mean surgically inducedastigmatism(SIA) was 0.86 ±0.34 dioptres(D) in the phacoemulsification group and 1.16 ±0.28 D in SICS group. The difference between the groups was significant(t-test, P =0.002). At 6mo, corrected distance visual acuity(CDVA) was 20/60 or better in 60(90.9%) patients in Phaco group and 53(88.3%) in the manual SICS group(P =0.478). The mean surgical time was significantly shorter in the manual SICS group(10.8±2.9 versus 13.2±2.6min)(P <0.001). Oral prednisolone, 1 mg/kg body weight was given 7d prior to surgery, continued post-operatively and tapered according to the inflammatory response over 4-6wk in patients with previously documented macular edema, recurrent uveitis, chronic anterior uveitis and intermediate uveitis. Rate of complications like macular edema(Chi-square, P =0.459),persistent uveitis(Chi-square, P =0.289) and posterior capsule opacification(Chi-square, P =0.474) were comparable between both the groups.·CONCLUSION: Manual SICS and phacoemulsification do not differ significantly in complication rates and final CDVA outcomes. However, manual SICS is significantly faster. It may be the preferred technique in settings where surgical volume is high and access to phacoemulsification is limited, such as in eye camps. 14Removal efficiency of fluoride by novel Mg-Cr-Cl layered double hydroxide by batch process from water显示文摘The fluoride ion removal from aqueous solution using synthesized Mg-Cr-Cl layered double hydroxide has been reported.Mg-Cr-Cl was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction,Fourier-transform infrared,thermo-gravimetric analysis,differential thermal analysis,and scanning electron microscope.Adsorption experiments were carried out in batch mode as a function of adsorption dosages,contact time,pH,and initial fluoride concentration to get optimum adsorption capacity.The adsorption kinetic study showed that the adsorption process followed first order kinetics.The fluoride removal was 88.5% and 77.4% at pH 7 with an adsorbent dose of 0.6 g/100 mL solution and initial fluoride concentration of 10 mg/L and 100 mg/L,respectively.The equilibrium was established at 40 min.Adsorption experiment data were fitted well with Langmuir isotherm with R 2 = 0.9924.Thermodynamic constants were also measured and concluded that the adsorption process was spontaneous and endothermic in nature.The removal percentage decreased slowly with increasing pH.This process is suitable for industrial effluents.The regeneration of the material is not possible.Sandip Mandal Swagatika Tripathy Tapswani Padhi Manoj Kumar Sahu Raj Kishore Patel 2013Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,5:7
15Analysis and use of fuzzy intelligent technique for navigation of humanoid robot in obstacle prone zone显示文摘With the increasing use of humanoid robots in several sectors of industrial automation and manufacturing, navigation and path planning of humanoids has emerged as one of the most promising area of research. In this paper, a navigational controller has been developed for a humanoid by using fuzzy logic as an intelligent algorithm for avoiding the obstacles present in the environment and reach the desired target position safely. Here, the controller has been designed by careful consideration of the navigational parameters by the help of fuzzy rules. The sensory information regarding obstacle distances and bearing angle towards the target are considered as inputs to the controller and necessary velocities for avoiding the obstacles are obtained as outputs. The working of the controller has been tested on a NAO humanoid robot in V-REP simulation platform. 16MicroRNA-99a mimics inhibit M1 macrophage phenotype and adipose tissue inflammation by targeting TNFα显示文摘In human adipose tissue and obesity,miR-99a expression is negatively correlated with inflammation.Therefore,the present study investigated the role of miR-99a in macrophage phenotype activation and adipose tissue inflammation.M2 BMDMs showed a significant increase in miR-99a expression when compared to the M0 and M1 phenotypes.Phenotype-switching experiments established an association between upregulated miR-99a expression and the M2 phenotype.Overexpression of miR-99a prevented M1 phenotype activation and attenuated bactericidal activity.Likewise,knockdown of miR-99a abolished M2 phenotype activation.By means of in silico target prediction tools and a luciferase reporter assay,TNFαwas identified as a direct target of miR-99a.Knockdown of TNFαrecapitulated the effect of miR-99a overexpression in M1 BMDMs.In a db/db mice model,miR-99a expression was reduced in eWAT and F4/80+ATMs.Systemic overexpression of miR-99a in db/db mice attenuated adipocyte hypertrophy with increased CD301 and reduced CD86 immunostaining.Flow cytometry analysis also showed an increased M2 and a reduced M1 macrophage population.Mimics of miR-99a also improved the diabetic dyslipidemia and insulin signaling in eWAT and liver,with an attenuated expression of gluconeogenesis and cholesterol metabolism genes in the liver.Furthermore,adoptive transfer of miR-99a-overexpressing macrophages in the db/db mice recapitulated in vivo miR-99a mimic effects with increased M2 and reduced M1 macrophage populations and improved systemic glucose,insulin sensitivity,and insulin signaling in the eWAT and liver.The present study demonstrates that miR-99a mimics can regulate macrophage M1 phenotype activation by targeting TNFα.miR-99a therapeutics in diabetic mice reduces the adipose tissue inflammation and improves insulin sensitivity.Anant Jaiswal Sukka Santosh Reddy Mohita Maurya Preeti Maurya Manoj Kumar Barthwal 2019Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,5:7
17Is prophylactic placement of drains necessary after subtotal gastrectomy?显示文摘AIM: To determine the evidence-based values of prophylactic drainage in gastric cancer surgery. METHODS: One hundred and eight patients, who underwent subtotal gastrectomy with D1 or D2 lymph node dissection for gastric cancer between January 2001 and December 2005, were divided into drain group or no-drain group. Surgical outcome and post-operative complications within four weeks were compared between the two groups. RESULTS: No significant differences were observed between the drain group and no-drain group in terms of operating time (171 ± 42 min vs 156 ± 39 min), number of post-operative days until passage of flatus (3.7 ± 0.5 d vs 3.5 ± 1.0 d), number of post-operative days until initiation of soft diet (4.9 ± 0.7 d vs 4.8 ± 0.8 d), length of post-operative hospital stay (9.3 ± 2.2 d vs 8.4 ± 2.4 d), mortality rate (5.4% vs 3.8%), and overall post- operative complication rate (21.4% vs 19.2%). 18WISH:wavefront imaging sensor with high resolution显示文摘Wavefront sensing is the simultaneous measurement of the amplitude and phase of an incoming optical field.Traditional wavefront sensors such as Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor(SHWFS)suffer from a fundamental tradeoff between spatial resolution and phase estimation and consequently can only achieve a resolution of a few thousand pixels.To break this tradeoff,we present a novel computational-imaging-based technique,namely,the Wavefront Imaging Sensor with High resolution(WISH).We replace the microlens array in SHWFS with a spatial light modulator(SLM)and use a computational phase-retrieval algorithm to recover the incident wavefront.This wavefront sensor can measure highly varying optical fields at more than 10-megapixel resolution with the fine phase estimation.To the best of our knowledge,this resolution is an order of magnitude higher than the current noninterferometric wavefront sensors.To demonstrate the capability of WISH,we present three applications,which cover a wide range of spatial scales.First,we produce the diffraction-limited reconstruction for long-distance imaging by combining WISH with a large-aperture,low-quality Fresnel lens.Second,we show the recovery of high-resolution images of objects that are obscured by scattering.Third,we show that WISH can be used as a microscope without an objective lens.Our study suggests that the designing principle of WISH,which combines optical modulators and computational algorithms to sense high-resolution optical fields,enables improved capabilities in many existing applications while revealing entirely new,hitherto unexplored application areas.Yicheng Wu Manoj Kumar Sharma Ashok Veeraraghavan 2019Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1:6
19尾穗苋甲醇提取物对扑热息痛致大鼠肝损伤的保护作用(英文)显示文摘目的:检测尾穗苋(Amaranthus caudatus)甲醇提取物对扑热息痛致大鼠肝损伤的保护作用。方法:5组大鼠分别给予羧甲基纤维素钠、扑热息痛、尾穗苋甲醇提取物(200或400mg/kg)并扑热息痛、水飞蓟素并扑热息痛。给药14d后采集大鼠血样进行血液生化检查,而后处死大鼠,收集各组大鼠肝脏组织样本供组织病理学检查。检测的指标包括肝功能标志物如丙氨酸氨基转移酶(alanine aminotransferase,ALT)、天门冬氨酸氨基转移酶(aspartate aminotransferase,AST)、血清白蛋白(albumin,ALB)、总蛋白(total protein,TP)、总胆红素(total bilirubin,TB)和直接胆红素(direct bilirubin,DB)及氧化损伤标志物如丙二醛(malondialdehyde,MDA)、还原型谷胱甘肽(reduced glutathione,GSH)、总硫醇(total thiols,TT)和过氧化氢酶(catalase,CAT)。结果:与未治疗组相比,浓度为200和400mg/kg的尾穗苋甲醇提取物均能显著改善由扑热息痛引起的大鼠肝损伤,改善扑热息痛导致的ALT、AST、TB和DB水平升高及血清ALB水平降低(P<0.01)。与未治疗组相比,浓度为200和400mg/kg的尾穗苋甲醇提取物能够显著降低扑热息痛导致的MDA及TP水平增高(P<0.01),并显著升高GSH、CAT及TT水平(P<0.01)。大鼠肝脏组织病理学检查的结果也证实了尾穗苋甲醇提取物对大鼠肝脏的保护作用。结论:本研究证实了尾穗苋的甲醇提取物对于扑热息痛引起的大鼠肝损伤具有显著的保护作用,证实了其在民族医学中治疗肝病的药用价值。Bagepalli Srinivas Ashok Kumar Kuruba Lakshman Peresandra Avalakondarayppa Arun Kumar Gollapalle Lakshminarayana Shastry Viswantha Veeresh Prabhakar Veerapur Boreddy Shivanadppa Thippeswamy Bachappa Manoj 2011中西医结合学报2011,9,2:5
20Using lanthanum to enhance the overall ignition, hardness, tensile and compressive strengths of Mg-0.5Zr alloy显示文摘Near dense Mg 0.5 wt.% Zr(0,1,2.5 and 4) wt.% La alloys were successfully synthesized by disintegrated melt deposition technique followed by hot extrusion and were characterized for their microstructural, ignition, hardness, tensile and compression properties. Combined effects of Zr and La assisted in significant grain refinement of Mg and Mg 0.5 wt.% Zr 4 wt.% La exhibited an average grain size as low as ~2.75 μm. High ignition temperature of ~645 oC was realized with Mg 0.5 wt.% Zr(1,2.5 and 4) wt.% La alloys. Microhardness value as high as ~103 Hv was observed with Mg 0.5 wt.% Zr 4 wt.% La alloy. Under room temperature tensile and compression loading, significant improvements in the strength properties of pure Mg with the addition of 0.5 wt.% Zr(0, 1, 2.5 and 4) wt.% La was observed. Mg 0.5 wt.% Zr 4 wt.% La exhibited the maximum 0.2% tensile and compression yield strengths of ~283 MPa and ~264 MPa, respectively. The tensile and compression fracture strain values of synthesized pure Mg were found to be unaffected with the addition of 0.5 wt.% Zr. But the tensile fracture strain reduced with the addition of La while the compressive fracture strain was unaffected.
