1A comparative study of three different learning algorithms applied to ANFIS for predicting daily suspended sediment concentration显示文摘The modeling and prediction of suspended sediment in a river are key elements in global water recourses and environment policy and management. In the present study, an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System model trained with the Levenberg-Marquardt learning algorithm is considered for time series modeling of suspended sediment concentration in a river. The model is trained and validated using daily river discharge and suspended sediment concentration data from the Schuylkill River in the United States. The results of the proposed method are evaluated and compared with similar networks trained with the common Hybrid and Back-Propagation algorithms, which are widely used in the literature for prediction of suspended sediment concentration. Obtained results demonstrate that models trained with the Hybrid and Levenberg-Marquardt algorithms are comparable in terms of prediction accuracy.However, the networks trained with the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm perform better than those trained with the Hybrid approach.Keivan Kaveh Minh Duc Bui Peter Rutschmann 2017International Journal of Sediment Research2017,32,3:3
2Assessing dynamic response of multispan viscoelastic thin beams under a moving mass via generalized moving least square method显示文摘Dynamic response of multispan viscoelastic thin beams subjected to a moving mass is studied by an efficient numerical method in some detail.To this end,the unknown parameters of the problem are discretized in spatial domain using generalized moving least square method(GMLSM) and then,discrete equations of motion based on Lagrange's equation are obtained.Maximum deflection and bending moments are considered as the important design parameters.The design parameter spectra in terms of mass weight and velocity of the moving mass are presented for multispan viscoelastic beams as well as various values of relaxation rate and beam span number.A reasonable good agreement is achieved between the results of the proposed solution and those obtained by other researchers.The results indicate that,although the load inertia effects in beams with higher span number would be intensified for higher levels of moving mass velocity,the maximum values of design parameters would increase either.Moreover,the possibility of mass separation is shown to be more critical as the span number of the beam increases.This fact also violates the linear relation between the mass weight of the moving load and the associated design parameters,especially for high moving mass velocities.However,as the relaxation rate of the beam material increases,the load inertia effects as well as the possibility of moving mass separation reduces.Keivan Kiani Ali Nikkhoo Bahman Mehri 2010Acta Mechanica Sinica2010,26,5:3
3Factors associated with recurrence of clubfoot treated by the Ponseti method显示文摘AIM To assess several associated factors on the recurrence of clubfoot after successful correction by the Ponseti method. METHODS A total of 115 children with 196 clubfeet deformities, treated by the Ponseti method, were evaluated. Demographic data, family history of clubfoot in firstdegree relatives, maternal educational level and brace compliance were enquired. Based on their medical files, the characteristics of the patients at the time of presentation such as age, possible associated neuromuscular disease or especial syndrome, severity of the deformity according to the Dimeglio grade and Pirani score, residual deformity after previous Ponseti method and number of casts needed for the correction were recorded.RESULTS There were 83 boys(72.2%) and 32 girls(27.8%) with a male to female ratio of 2.6. The mean age at the initiation of treatment was 5.4 d(range: 1 to 60 d). The average number of casts applied to achieve complete correction of all clubfoot deformities was 4.2. Follow-up range was 11 to 60 mo. In total, 39 feet had recurrence with a minimum Dimeglio grade of 1 or Pirani score of 0.5 at the follow-up visit. More recurrence was observed in non-idiopathic clubfoot deformities(P = 0.001), noncompliance to wear braces(P < 0.001), low educational level of mother(P = 0.033), increased number of casts(P < 0.001), and more follow-up periods(P < 0.001). No increase in the possibility of recurrence was observed when the previous unsuccessful casting was further treated using the Ponseti method(P = 0.091). Also, no significant correlation was found for variables of age(P = 0.763), Dimeglio grade(P = 0.875), and Pirani score(P = 0.624) obtaining at the beginning of the serial casting. CONCLUSION Using the Ponseti method, non-idiopathic clubfoot, noncompliance to wear braces, low educational level of mother, increased number of casts and more followup periods had more association to possible increase in recurrence rate after correction of clubfoot deformity.Mohammad Reza Azarpira Mohammad Jafar Emami Amir Reza Vosoughi Keivan Rahbari 2016World Journal of Clinical Cases2016,4,10:2
4Stress analysis of thermally affected rotating nanoshafts with varying material properties显示文摘Based on the surface elasticity theory of GurtinMurdoch, thermo-elastic fields within rotating nanoshafts with varying material properties subjected to a thermal field are explicitly examined. Accounting for the surface energy effect, the nonclassical boundary conditions are enforced in the cases of fixed-free and free-free conditions. The effects of variation of material properties, temperature of the environment, angular velocity, and radius of the outer radius on the radial displacement, hoop and radial stresses are investigated. 6Single intratesticular injection of blood-serum-derived exosomes can potentially alleviate testopathy following testicular torsion显示文摘Background:Testicular torsion(TT)is an acute inflammatory process leading to male infertility.Today,anti-i nflammatory effects of exosomes derived from blood serum are used in various laboratory procedures.In the present study,the anti-i nflammatory effects of blood-serum-derived exosomes in treatment of acute inflammation following TT in mice were evaluated.Materials and Methods:Eighteen male mice were grouped as healthy control,TT,and TT+exosome.TT was induced surgically,and exosomes were extracted from blood serum and administrated by a single intratesticular injection(10 IU).Malondialdehyde(MDA)and Griess assays were used to evaluate the level of oxidative stress.Sperm indices,testosterone(Tes),and apoptotic gene expression(p-53,Bcl2,and Caspase-3)were also assessed.H&E and immunohistochemistry(IHC)stainings were used for histopathological investigations.Data analysis was applied by SPSS(v.19)software.Results:Oxidative stress and apoptotic genes expression were increased significantly(p<0.05)in TT group compared with control.Sperm parameters and Tes were significantly increased,and expression of apoptotic genes was significantly reduced in TT+exosome group(p<0.05).Conclusion:Since the blood-serum-derived exosomes have anti-i nflammatory features,the intratesticular application of blood-serum-derived exosomes can be used clinically in acute phase of orchitis following TT to inhibit testicular inflammation.Mona Keivan Fatemeh Mansouri Torghabeh Samira Davoodi Shima Moradi Maryamneghari Reza Dadfar 2022Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2022,5,4:2

15Efficient CNTFET-based Ternary Full Adder Cells for Nanoelectronics显示文摘This paper presents two new efficient ternary Full Adder cells for nanoelectronics. These CNTFETbased ternary Full Adders are designed based on the unique characteristics of the CNTFET device, such as the capability of setting the desired threshold voltages by adopting proper diameters for the nanotubes as well as the same carrier mobilities for the N-type and P-type devices. These characteristics of CNTFETs make them very suitable for designing high-performance multiple-Vth structures. The proposed structures reduce the number of the transistors considerably and have very high driving capability. 16Design and analysis of carbon nanotube FET based quaternary full adders显示文摘CMOS二进制逻辑受短沟道效应、功率密度及互连约束等条件的限制。非硅多值逻辑计算是克服上述问题的一种有效方案。本研究在碳纳米管场效应管(carbon nanotube field effect transistors,CNTFET)的基础上提出了两种高性能四进制全加单元。该全加单元利用了CNTFET独有的特性,如目标电压阈值可通过调整碳纳米管管径控制、CNTFET具有与p型和n型器件相同的迁移性。通过在Synopsys HSPICE中使用32 nm斯坦福综合CNTFET模型,在多种测试条件下对所述电路单元进行了仿真。与当前水平的四进制全加器相比,本文所采用的设计平均降低延迟32%,所需平均功率、能耗及静态功率分别为现有水平的68%、83%及77%。仿真结果表明,所述设计在生产制程、电压、温度变化、噪声耐受方面具有较好的鲁棒性。Mohammad Hossein MOAIYERI Shima SEDIGHIANI Fazel SHARIFI Keivan NAVI 2016Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2016,17,10:1
17A low-voltage and energy-efficient full adder cell based on carbon nanotube technology显示文摘Scaling problems and limitations of conventional silicon transistors have led the designers to exploit novel nano-technologies. One of the most promising and feasible nano-technologies is CNT(Carbon Nanotube) based transistors. In this paper, a high-speed and energy-efficient CNFET(Carbon Nanotube Field Effect Transistor) based Full Adder cell is proposed for nanotechnology. This design is simulated in various supply voltages, frequencies and load capacitors using HSPICE circuit simulator. Significant improvement is achieved in terms of speed and PDP(Power-Delay-Product) in comparison with other classical and state-of-the-art CMOS and CNFET-based designs, existing in the literature. 19Applying data mining techniques to classify patients with suspected hepatitis C virus infection显示文摘Background Hepatitis C virus(HCV)has a high prevalence worldwide,and the progression of the disease can cause irreversible damage to severe liver damage or even death.Therefore,developing prediction models using machine learning techniques is beneficial.This study was conducted to classify suspected patients with HCV infection using different classification models.Methods The study was conducted using a dataset derived from the University of California,Irvine(UCI)Ma-chine Learning Repository.Since the HCV dataset was imbalanced,the synthetic minority oversampling technique(SMOTE)was applied to balance the dataset.After cleaning the dataset,it was divided into training and test data for developing six classification models.These six algorithms included the support vector machine(SVM),Gaus-sian Naïve Bayes(NB),decision tree(DT),random forest(RF),logistic regression(LR),and K-nearest neighbors(KNN)algorithm.The Python programming language was used to develop the classifiers.Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis and other metrics were used to evaluate the performance of the proposed models.Results After the evaluation of the models using different metrics,the RF classifier had the best performance among the six methods.The accuracy of the RF classifier was 97.29%.Accordingly,the area under the curve(AUC)for LR,KNN,DT,SVM,Gaussian NB,and RF models were 0.921,0.963,0.953,0.972,0.896,and 0.998,respectively,RF showing the best predictive performance.Conclusion Various machine learning techniques for classifying healthy and unhealthy patients were used in this study.Additionally,the developed models might identify the stage of HCV based on trained data.Reza Safdari Amir Deghatipour Marsa Gholamzadeh Keivan Maghooli 2022Intelligent Medicine2022,2,4:1
