| 1 | Curative effect of Dingqi analgesic patch on cancer pain:a single-blind randomized controlled trail显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the curative effect of an acupoint application with a Dingqi analgesic patch on moderate to severe pain caused by liver cancer.METHODS:Forty patients with moderate to severe pain caused by liver cancer were randomly divided intoatreatmentgroup(TG)andacontrolgroup(CG).Patients with moderate pain were given 100 mg qd of a sustainably released tablet of tramadol hydrochloride;patientswithseverepainweregiven4.2mg q3d of the fentanyl transdermal system. The ashi points Ganshu(BL 18),Danshu(BL 19) and Qimen(LR 14) were chosen for the acupoint application intervention.CG patients were given a sham patch and TG patients were given a Dingqi analgesic patch.A visual analogue scale(VAS) was used before treatment and after 1,3,6,9 and 12 days of treatment. The Karnofsky score was measured before treatment and after 12 days of treatment.Any main adverse reactions(e.g.nausea,constipation,dizziness and headache) were recorded after 6 and 12 days of treatment.Any skin side effects(i.e.skin irritation and allergic reactions) were recorded.RESULTS:The VAS in TG was significantly lower than that in CG after 3,6,9 and 12 days of treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the Karnofsky score before treatment and after 12 days of treatment between CG and TG.There were also no significant differences in the main adverse reactions or skin side effects after 6 and 12 days of treatment between CG andTG(P>0.05).CONCLUSION:The Dingqi analgesic patch can enhance the analgesic effect of tramadol and fentanyl. | Changjun Wang Wei Tan Xuhui Huang Tingting Fu Juze Lin Junmin Bu Guojian Wei Yu Du | 2013 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,2: | 9 |
| 2 | On generation source sites of internal waves in the Luzon Strait显示文摘This effort aims to determine the generation source sites in the Luzon Strait for energetic,long-crest,transbasin internal waves(IW)observed in the northern South China Sea(NSCS).The roles of islands distributed on eastern side of the strait,Kuroshio, submarine ridges, shoaling thermocline, and strait configuration played in the IW generation are examined using the cruise data analysis, satellite data interpretation, and dynamical analysis. The islands and channels on eastern side of the strait are excluded from a list of possible IW source sites owing to their unmatched horizontal dimensions to the scale of IW crest line length, and the relative low Reynolds number. The Kuroshio has a potential to be a radiator for the long-crest IW disturbances, meanwhile, the Kuroshio west(east)wing absorbs the eastward(westward)propagating IW disturbance.Namely, the Kuroshio blockades the outside west-east propagating IW disturbances. The 3-D configuration of the Luzon Strait is characterized by a sudden, more than one order widening of the cross-section areas at the outlets on both sides, providing a favorable condition for IW type initial disturbance formation. In the Luzon Strait, the thermocline is featured by a westward shoaling all the year around, providing the dynamical conditions for the amplitude growth(declination)to the westward(eastward)propagating IW type disturbance. Thus, the west slope of western submarine ridge at the western outlet of the Luzon Strait is a high possibility source sites for energetic,long-crest,transbasin IWs in the NSCS.The interpretation results of satellite SAR images during a 13 a period from 1995 to 2007 provide the convincing evidence for the conclusions. | ZHENG Quanan SONG Y Tony LIN Hui HU Xiaomin MENG Junmin WANG Dan | 2008 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2008,27,3: | 5 |
| 3 | Salivary microbiota may predict the presence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘The aim is to explore the predictive value of salivary bacteria for the presence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Saliva samples were obtained from 178 patients with ESCC and 101 healthy controls, and allocated to screening and verification cohorts, respectively. In the screening phase, after saliva DNA was extracted, 16S rRNA V4 regions of salivary bacteria were amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with high-throughput sequencing. Highly expressed target bacteria were screened by Operational Taxonomic Units clustering, species annotation and microbial diversity assessment. In the verification phase, the expression levels of target bacteria identified in the screening phase were verified by absolute quantitative PCR (Q-PCR). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were plotted to investigate the predictive value of target salivary bacteria. LEfSe analysis revealed higher proportions of Fusobacterium, Streptococcus and Porphyromonas, and Q-PCR assay showed significantly higher numbers of Streptococcus salivarius, Fusobacterium nucleatum and Porphyromonas gingivalis in patients with ESCC, when compared with healthy controls (all P < 0.05). The areas under the ROC curves for Streptococcus salivarius, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Porphyromonas gingivalis and the combination of the three bacteria for predicting patients with ESCC were 69%, 56.5%, 61.8% and 76.4%, respectively. The sensitivities corresponding to cutoff value were 69.3%, 22.7%, 35.2% and 86.4%, respectively, and the matched specificity were 78.4%, 96.1%, 90.2% and 58.8%, respectively. These highly expressed Streptococcus salivarius, Fusobacterium nucleatum and Porphyromonas gingivalis in the saliva, alone or in combination, indicate their predictive value for ESCC. | Junmin Wei Ruifeng Li Yanxian Lu Fan Meng Bohong Xian Xiaorong Lai Xiayi Lin Yu Deng Dongyang Yang Huabin Zhang Liangfang Li Xiaosong Ben Guibin Qiao Wanwei Liu Zijun Li | 2022 | Genes & Diseases2022,9,4: | 2 |
