1Seasonal and spatial distributions of euphotic zone and longterm variations in water transparency in a clear oligotrophic Lake Fuxian, China显示文摘To assess the seasonal and spatial variations and long-term trends in water optical properties in Lake Fuxian, investigations based on field work in four seasons and a long-term analysis of data from 1980 to 2014 were conducted. The results show that there was no significant variation in the euphotic depth(Z_(eu)) across the four seasons, and no significant correlations between Z_(eu) and potential influencing factors in seasons other than summer, suggesting that the water itself may be a major factor regulating the Z_(eu)in general. Nevertheless, significant differences in Z_(eu) between the north region(NR) and the south region(SR) were observed in all seasonal tests except spring. This finding relates to a higher abundance of chromophoric dissolved organic matter(CDOM) in the NR due to runoff, especially in the rainy seasons(summer and autumn).CDOM and its terrigenous component had an important impact on Z_(eu)in summer, with the highest precipitation, and impacts from suspended solids and non-algal particles were also found in the NR in summer. The Secchi disk depth in the lake decreased clearly over the years,with significantly negative correlations with the increasing permanganate index and air temperature, implying that organic contaminants(CDOM and/or phytoplankton) are important regulators of water transparency. We estimate that the combined effects of climate warming and changes in land use and land cover are also indirect regulating factors. 2Structural shifts in the intestinal microbiota of rats treated with cyclosporine A after orthotropic liver transplantation显示文摘Understanding the effect of immunosuppressive agents on intestinal microbiota is important to reduce the mortality and morbidity from orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT). We investigated the relationship between the commonly used immunosuppressive agent cyclosporine A (CSA) and the intestinal microbial variation in an OLT model. The rat samples were divided as follows:(1) N group (normal control);(2) I group (isograft LT, Brown Norway [BN] rat to BN);(3) R group (allograft LT, Lewis to BN rat);and (4) CSA group (R group treated with CSA). The intestinal microbiota was assayed by denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis profiles and by using real-time polymerase chain reaction. The liver histopathology and the alanine/aspartate aminotransferase ratio after LT were both ameliorated by CSA. In the CSA group, the numbers of rDNA gene copies of Clostridium cluster I, Clostridium cluster XIV, and Enterobacteriaceae decreased, whereas those of Faecalibacterium prausnitzii increased compared with the R group. Cluster analysis indicated that the samples from the N, I, and CSA groups were clustered, whereas the other clusters contained the samples from the R group. 5Synthesis of MgO-Al_2O_3/ZSM-5 by Solid State Reaction for Propane Dehydrogenation显示文摘Solid-state grinding is a simple and effective method to introduce guest species into the channels of microporous materials through filling.The structure and the surface acidity of the materials were obtained from BET isotherms and NH3-TPD,respectively.XRD,UV-vis,UV diffuse-reflectance,and TEM were used to characterize the phases,and the morphology,respectively.The clustered layers of MgO-Al2O3phases were formed in the internal pore surface and were highly dispersed inside the channels of the ZSM-5 host.So the volume of MgO-Al2O3/ZSM-5 composite was larger than the ZSM-5 zeolite itself and some mesoporous channels appeared when Mg/Al species entered the channels.Meanwhile,new acid sites emerged in MgO-Al2O3/ZSM-5 composite and the acid amount of the sample changed.The improved Pt dispersion and the increased acid content would cause the increase of propane conversion and the modification of selectivity during the reaction.Zhou Shijian ZhouYuming Sheng Xiaoli ZhangYiwei Zhang Zewu Shi Junjun Kong Jie 2013China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2013,15,3:2

17Bend family proteins mark chromatin boundaries and synergistically promote early germ cell differentiation显示文摘Understanding the regulatory networks for germ cell fate specification is necessary to developing strategies for improving the efficiency of germ cell production in vitro.In this study,we developed a coupled screening strategy that took advantage of an arrayed bi-molecular fluorescence complementation(BiFC)platform for protein-protein interaction screens and epiblast-like cell(EpiLC)-induction assays using reporter mouse embryonic stem cells(mESCs).Investigation of candidate interaction partners of core human pluripotent factors OCT4,NANOG,KLF4 and SOX2 in EpiLC differentiation assays identified novel primordial germ cell(PGC)-inducing factors including BEN-domain(BEND/Bend)family members.Through RNA-seq,ChIP-seq,and ATAC-seq analyses,we showed that Bend5 worked together with Bend4 and helped mark chromatin boundaries to promote EpiLC induction in vitro.Our findings suggest that BEND/Bend proteins represent a new family of transcriptional modulators and chromatin boundary factors that participate in gene expression regulation during early germline development.Guang Shi Yaofu Bai Xiya Zhang Junfeng Su Junjie Pang Quanyuan He Pengguihang Zeng Junjun Ding Yuanyan Xiong Jingran Zhang Jingwen Wang Dan Liu Wenbin Ma Junjiu Huang Zhou Songyang 2022Protein & Cell2022,13,10:1
