1Transplantation of UC-MSCs on collagen scaffold activates follicles in dormant ovaries of POF patients with long history of infertility显示文摘Premature ovarian failure(POF) is a refractory disease for clinical treatment with the goal of restoring fertility. In this study,umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells on a collagen scaffold(collagen/UC-MSCs) can activate primordial follicles in vitro via phosphorylation of FOXO3 a and FOXO1. Transplantation of collagen/UC-MSCs to the ovaries of POF patients rescued overall ovarian function, evidenced by elevated estradiol concentrations, improved follicular development, and increased number of antral follicles. Successful clinical pregnancy was achieved in women with POF after transplantation of collagen/UC-MSCs or UC-MSCs. 3Gas Hydrates in the Qilian Mountain Permafrost, Qinghai, Northwest China显示文摘Qilian Mountain permafrost, with area about 10×104 km2, locates in the north of Qinghai-Tibet plateau. It equips with perfect conditions and has great prospecting potential for gas hydrate. The Scientific Drilling Project of Gas Hydrate in Qilian Mountain permafrost, which locates in Juhugeng of Muri Coalfield, Tianjun County, Qinghai Province, has been implemented by China Geological Survey in 2008–2009. Four scientific drilling wells have been completed with a total footage of 2059.13 m. Samples of gas hydrate are collected separately from holes DK-1, DK-2 and DK-3. Gas hydrate is hosted under permafrost zone in the 133–396 m interval. The sample is white crystal and easily burning. Anomaly low temperature has been identified by the infrared camera. The gas hydrate-bearing cores strongly bubble in the water. Gas-bubble and water-drop are emitted from the hydrate-bearing cores and then characteristic of honeycombed structure is left. The typical spectrum curve of gas hydrate is detected using Raman spectrometry. Furthermore, the logging profile also indicates high electrical resistivity and sonic velocity. 4Brain structural changes and their correlation with vascular disease in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients: a voxel-based morphometric study显示文摘Voxel-based morphometry has been used in the study of alterations in brain structure in type 1 diabetes mellitus patients. These changes are associated with clinical indices. The age at onset, pathogenesis, and treatment of type 1 diabetes mellitus are different from those for type 2 diabetes mellitus. Thus, type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus may have different impacts on brain structure. Only a few studies of the alterations in brain structure in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients using voxel-based morphometry have been conducted, with inconsistent results. We detected subtle changes in the brain structure of 23 cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus, and demonstrated that there was no significant difference between the total volume of gray and white matter of the brain of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients and that in controls. Regional atrophy of gray matter mainly occurred in the right temporal and left occipital cortex, while regional atrophy of white matter involved the right temporal lobe and the right cerebellar hemisphere. The ankle-brachial index in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus strongly correlated with the volume of brain regions in the default mode network. The ankle-brachial index, followed by the level of glycosylated hemoglobin, most strongly correlated with the volume of gray matter in the right temporal lobe. These data suggest that voxel-based morphometry could detect small structural changes in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. 5Impacts of temperature and precipitation on runoff in the Tarim River during the past 50 years显示文摘The relationship between climate change and water resources in the Tarim River was analyzed by combining the temperature,precipitation and streamflow data from 1957 to 2007 from the four headstreams of the Tarim River (Aksu,Hotan,Yarkant and Kaidu rivers) in the study area.The long-term trend of the hydrological time series including temperature,precipitation and streamflow were studied using correlation analysis and partial correlations analysis.Holt double exponential smoothing was used to fit the trends between streamflow and the two climatic factors of Aksu River,Hotan River and Yarkant River.The streamflow of the main stream was forecasted by Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average Model (ARIMA) modeling by the method of time series analysis.The results show that the temperature experienced a trend of monotonic rising.The precipitation and runoff of the four headstreams of the Tarim River increased,while the inflow to the headstreams increased and the inflow into the Tarim River decreased.Changes of temperature and precipitation had a significant impact on runoff into the four headstreams of the Tarim River: the precipitation had a positive impact on water flow in the Aksu River,Hotan River and Kaidu River,while the temperature had a positive impact on water flow in the Yarkant River.The results of Holt double exponential smoothing showed that the correlation between the independent variable and dependent variable was relatively close after the model was fitted to the headstreams,of which only the runoff and temperature values of Hotan River showed a significant negative correlation.The forecasts by the ARIMA model for 50 years of annual runoff at the Allar station followed the pattern of the measured data for the same years.The short-term forecasts beyond the observed series adequately captured the pattern in the data and showed a decreasing tendency in the Tarim River flow of 3.07% every ten years.The results showed that global warming accelerated the water recharge process of the headstreams.The special hydrological characteristics of the arid area determined the significant association between streamflow and the two climatic factors studied.Strong glacier retreat is likely to bring a series of flood disasters within the study area.YuTing FAN YaNing CHEN WeiHong LI HuaiJun WANG XinGong LI 2011Journal of Arid Land2011,3,3:13
6Runoff Responses to Climate Change in Arid Region of Northwestern China During 1960-2010显示文摘Based on runoff, air temperature, and precipitation data from 1960 to 2010, the effects of climate change on water resources in the arid region of the northwestern China were investigated. The long-term trends of hydroclimatic variables were studied by using both Mann-Kendall test and distributed-free cumulative sum (CUSUM) chart test. Results indicate that the mean annual air temperature increases significantly from 1960 to 2010. The annual precipitation exhibits an increasing trend, especially in the south slope of the Tianshan Mountains and the North Uygur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang in the study period. Step changes occur in 1988 in the mean annual air temperature time series and in 1991 in the precipitation time series. The runoff in different basins shows different trends, i.e., significantly increasing in the Kaidu River, the Aksu River and the Shule River, and decreasing in the Shiyang River. Correlation analysis reveals that the runoff in the North Xinjiang (i.e., the Weigan River, the Heihe River, and the Shiyang River) has a strong positive relationship with rainfall, while that in the south slope of the Tianshan Mountains, the middle section of the north slope of the Tianshan Mountains and the Shule River has a strong positive relationship with air temperature. The trends of runoff have strong negative correlations with glacier coverage and the proportion of glacier water in runoff. From the late 1980s, the climate has become warm and wet in the arid region of the northwestern China. The change in runoff is interacted with air temperature, precipitation and glacier coverage. 7Aspirin suppresses growth of human gastric carcinoma cell by inhibiting survivin expression显示文摘Regular use of aspirin (ASA) could reduce the risk of gastric cancer although the precise mechanism remains unclear.Down-regulation of survivin may be one of the cyclooxygenase-independent mechanisms whereby ASA induces apoptosis of gastric cancer cell.In this study,we investigated the effect of ASA on the growth,apoptosis and survivin expression of gastric cancer cell line SGC7901.The survival of cells treated with 3.0 and 10.0 mmol/L ASA for 24 h was decreased by 44.6% and 88.5%,respectively.ASA at 3.0 mmol/L inhibited the viability of SGC7901 cells in a time-dependent manner.Apoptosis analysis showed similar results with MTT assay.ASA at 3.0 and 10.0 mmol/L decreased the mRNA transcript levels of survivin and reduced survivin protein levels in SGC7901 cells also in a time-dependent manner.Our findings indicated that ASA inhibited the proliferation of SGC7901 by suppressing survivin at both the transcriptional and translational level.Li Yang Huaijun Zhu Dongxiao Liu Song Liang Hao Xu Jie Chen Xuerong Wang Zekuan Xu 2011The Journal of Biomedical Research2011,25,4:9
8Therapeutic effect of nerve growth factor on cerebral infarction in dogs using the hemisphere anomalous volume ratio of diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging显示文摘A model of focal cerebral ischemic infarction was established in dogs through middle cerebral artery occlusion of the right side.Thirty minutes after occlusion,models were injected with nerve growth factor adjacent to the infarct locus.The therapeutic effect of nerve growth factor against cerebral infarction was assessed using the hemisphere anomalous volume ratio,a quantitative index of diffusion-weighted MRI.At 6 hours,24 hours,7 days and 3 months after modeling,the hemisphere anomalous volume ratio was significantly reduced after treatment with nerve growth factor. 11Dextral-Slip Thrust Faulting and Seismic Events of the Ms 8.0 Wenchuan Earthquake,Longmenshan Mountains,Eastern Margin of the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Dextral-slip thrust movement of the Songpan-Garzê terrain over the Sichuan block caused the M_s 8.0 Wenchuan earthquake of May 12,2008 and offset the Central Longmenshan Fault(CLF) along a distance of~250 km.Displacement along the CLF changes from Yingxiu to Qingchuan.The total oblique slip of up to 7.6 m in Yingxiu near the epicenter of the earthquake,decreases northeastward to 5.3 m,6.6 m,4.4 m,2.5 m and 1.1 m in Hongkou,Beichuan,Pingtong,Nanba and Qingchuan,respectively.This offset apparently occurred during a sequence of four reported seismic events,EQ1-EQ4,which were identified by seismic inversion of the source mechanism.These events occurred in rapid succession as the fault break propagated northeastward during the earthquake. Variations in the plunge of slickensides along the CLF appear to match these events.The Mw 7.5 EQ1 event occurred during the first 0-10 s along the Yingxiu-Hongkou section of the CLF and is characterized by 1.7 m vertical slip and vertical slickensides.The Mw 8.0 EQ2 event,which occurred during the next 10-42 s along the Yingxiu-Yanziyan section of the CLF,is marked by major dextralslip with minor thrust and slickensides plunging 25°-35°southwestward.The Mw 7.5 EQ3 event occurred during the following 42-60 s and resulted in dextral-slip and slickensides plunging 10°southwestward in Beichuan and plunging 73°southwestward in Hongkou.The Mw 7.7 EQ4 event, which occurred during the final 60-95 s along the Beichuan-Qingchuan section of the CLF,is characterized by nearly equal values of dextral and vertical slips with slickensides plunging 45°-50°southwestward.These seismic events match and evidently controlled the concentrations of landslide dams caused by the Wenchuan earthquake in Longmenshan Mountains.WU Zhenhan DONG Shuwen Patrick J. 12Numerical simulation to determine the gas explosion risk in longwall goaf areas:A case study of Xutuan Colliery显示文摘Underground gassy longwall mining goafs may suffer potential gas explosions during the mining process because of the irregularity of gas emissions in the goaf and poor ventilation of the working face,which are risks difficult to control.In this work,the 3235 working face of the Xutuan Colliery in Suzhou City,China,was researched as a case study.The effects of air quantity and gas emission on the three-dimensional distribution of oxygen and methane concentration in the longwall goaf were studied.Based on the revised Coward’s triangle and linear coupling region formula,the coupled methane-oxygen explosive hazard zones(CEHZs)were drawn.Furthermore,a simple practical index was proposed to quantitatively determine the gas explosion risk in the longwall goaf.The results showed that the CEHZs mainly focus on the intake side where the risk of gas explosion is greatest.The CEHZ is reduced with increasing air quantity.Moreover,the higher the gas emission,the larger the CEHZ,which moves towards the intake side at low goaf heights and shifts to the deeper parts of the goaf at high heights.In addition,the risk of gas explosion is reduced as air quantities increase,but when gas emissions increase to a higher level(greater than 50 m3/min),the volume of the CEHZ does not decrease with the increase of air quantity,and the risk of gas explosion no longer shows a linear downward trend.This study is of significance as it seeks to reduce gas explosion accidents and improve mine production safety.Yunzhuo Li Hetao Su Huaijun Ji Wuyi Cheng 2020International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2020,30,6:7
13Pharmacological Activation of RXR-a Promotes Hematoma Absorption via a PPAR-y-dependent Pathway After Intracerebral Hemorrhage显示文摘Endogenously eliminating the hematoma is a favorable strategy in addressing intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH).This study sought to determine the role of retinoid X receptor-ot(RXR-a)in the context of hematoma absorption after ICH.Our results showed that pharmacologically activating RXR-a with bexarotene significantly accelerated hematoma clearance and alleviated neurological dysfunction after ICH.RXR-ot was expressed in microglia/macro-phages,neurons,and astrocytes.Mechanistically,bexarotene promoted the nuclear translocation of RXR-a and PPAR-y,as well as reducing neuroinflammation by modulating microglia/macrophage reprograming from the Ml into the M2 phenotype.Furthermore,all the beneficial effects of RXR-a in ICH were reversed by the PPAR-y inhibitor GW9662.In conclusion,the pharmacological activation of RXR-a confers robust neuroprotection against ICH by accelerating hematoma clearance and repolarizing microglia/macrophages towards the M2 phenotype through PPAR-y-related mechanisms.Our data support the notion that RXR-ot might be a promising therapeutic target for ICH.Chaoran Xu Huaijun Chen Shengjun Zhou Chenjun Sun Xiaolong Xia Yucong Peng Jianfeng Zhuang Xiongjie Fu Hanhai Zeng Hang Zhou Yang Cao Qian Yu Yin Li Libin Hu Guoyang Zhou Feng Yan Gao Chen Jianru Li 2021Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,10:4

15CO2 flooding strategy to enhance heavy oil recovery显示文摘CO_(2) flooding is one of the most promising techniques to enhance both light and heavy oil recovery.In light oil recovery,the production pressure in CO_(2) flooding in general keeps constant in order to maintain the miscibility of injected CO_(2) and crude oil;while in heavy oil recovery,a depleting pressure scheme may be able to induce foamy oil flow,thus the oil recovery could be further enhanced.In this study,different pressure control schemes were tested by 1-D core-flooding experiments to obtain an optimized one.Numerical simulations were conducted to history match all experimental data to understand the mechanisms and characteristics of different CO_(2) flooding strategies.For the core-flooding experiments,1500 mD sandstone cores,formation brine and a heavy oil sample with a viscosity of about 869.3 cp at reservoir condition(55℃ and 11 MPa)were used.Before each CO_(2) flooding test,early stage water-flooding was conducted until the water cut reached 90%.Different CO_(2) injection rates and production pressure control strategies were tested through core-flooding experiments.Experimental results indicated that a slower CO_(2) injection rate(2 ml/min)led to a higher recovery factor from 31.1%to 36.7%,compared with a high CO_(2) injection rate of 7 ml/min;for the effects of different production strategies,a constant production pressure at the production port yielded a recovery factor of 31.1%;while a pressure depletion with 47.2 kPa/min at the production port yielded 7%more oil recovery;and the best pressure control scheme in which the production pressure keeping constant during CO_(2) injection period,then depleting the model pressure with the injector shut-in yielded a recovery factor of 42.5%of the initial OOIP.For the numerical simulations study,the same oil relative permeability curve was applied to match the experimental results to all tests.Different gas relative permeability curves were obtained when the production pressure schemes are different.A much lower gas relative permeability curve and a higher critical gas saturation were achieved in the best pressure control scheme case compared to other cases.The lower gas relative permeability curve indicates that foamy oil was formed in the pressure depletion processes.Through this study,it is suggested that the pressure control scheme can be optimized in order to maximize the CO_(2) injection performance for enhanced heavy oil recovery.Tuo Huang Xiang Zhou Huaijun Yang Guangzhi Liao Fanhua Zeng 2017Petroleum2017,3,1:3
16Dual Control of Depositional Facies on Uranium Mineralization in Coal-bearing Series: Examples from the Tuanyushan Area of the Northern Qaidam Basin, NW China显示文摘The uranium deposits in the Tuanyushan area of northern Qaidam Basin commonly occur in coal-bearing series. To decipher the U-enrichment mechanism and controlling factors in this area, a database of 72 drill cores, including 56 well-logs and 3 sampling wells, was examined for sedimentology and geochemistry in relation to uranium concentrations. The results show that coal-bearing series can influence uranium mineralization from two aspects, i.e., spatial distribution and dynamic control. Five types of uranium-bearing rocks are recognized, mainly occurring in the braided river and braided delta sedimentary facies, among which sandstones near the coals are the most important. The lithological associations of sandstone-type uranium deposits can be classified into three subtypes, termed as U-coal type, coal-U-coal type, and coal-U type, respectively. The coal and fine siliciclastic rocks in the coalbearing series confined the U-rich fluid flow and uranium accumulation in the sandstone near them. Thus, the coal-bearing series can provide good accommodations for uranium mineralization. Coals and organic matters in the coal-bearing series may have served as reducing agents and absorbing barriers. Methane is deemed to be the main acidolysis hydrocarbon in the U-bearing beds, which shows a positive correlation with U-content in the sandstones in the coal-bearing series. Additionally, the δ13 C in the carbonate cements of the U-bearing sandstones indicates that the organic matters, associated with the coal around the sandstones, were involved in the carbonation, one important component of alteration in the Tuanyushan area. 17MIMO RADAR IMAGING MODEL AND ALGORITHM显示文摘Based on the array architecture of multiple transmitting/receiving antennas, Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) radar provides a new mechanism for radar imaging technology. In order to explore the processing approach to this imaging mechanism, the two dimensional (2D) imaging model of MIMO radar is established first, and the spatial sampling ability is analyzed from the concept of spatial convolution of the antenna elements. The target spatial spectral filling format of MIMO radar with monochromatic transmitting signal is described. High-resolution imaging capability of MIMO radar is analyzed according to spatial spectral coverage and the corresponding imaging algorithm is presented. 19Layer-structure adjustable MoS_(2) catalysts for the slurry-phase hydrogenation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons显示文摘Slurry-phase hydrogenation technology is the frontier topic in the efficient conversion of heavy oils into light fractions around the world.Developing highly active dispersed MoS_(2) catalysts is the major obstacle to realize the industrial application of upgrading heavy oils.In this work,both top-down ball-milling method and bottom-up hydrothermal method were designed to synthesize MoS_(2) catalysts with controllable layer structures.The stacking layers and lateral sizes for micro-scaled MoS_(2) catalysts by ball-milling method can be reduced to their limits and stabilize at 6~8 layers and lateral size of ca.30 nm.The more flexible bottom-up hydrothermal method can construct MoS_(2) catalysts with much smaller lateral sizes and fewer stacking layers,especially,MoS_(2) catalyst fabricated with ammonium tetrathiomolybdate as Mo and S precursor possesses average stacking layers of 2 and lateral size of 5 ~ 10 nm.Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons anthracene,phenanthrene and naphthalene were used as model compounds of heavy oils to investigate the catalytic hydrogenation performance of designed MoS_(2) catalysts.The catalytic activities of MoS_(2) catalysts can be well correlated with their stacking layers and lateral size.The edges of top and bottom S-Mo-S atomic layers for MoS_(2) sheets,named rim sites,are positively correlated with the exposure of active sites for catalytic hydrogenation of PAHs.The highest catalytic activity of MoS_(2) catalyst results from its layer structures of 100% rim sites and the smallest lateral size of5 ~ 10 nm,which is beneficial to expose maximum active sites for catalytic hydrogenation reactions.This work can guide us to design the highly active hydrogenation catalysts,and promote the industrial application of upgrading heavy oils.Donge Wang Jiahe Li Huaijun Ma Chenggong Yang Zhendong Pan Wei Qu Zhijian Tian 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,12:2
20Vascular endothelial growth factor induced angiogenesis following focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury in rabbits显示文摘BACKGROUND: Therapeutic angiogenesis has opened up new pathway for the treatment of ischemic cerebrovascular disease in recent years. The exploration of the effect of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) on inducing angiogenesis following ischemia/reperfusion injury can provide better help for the long-term treatment of cerebrovascular disease in clinic. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of VEGF on inducing angiogenesis following focal cerebral ischemia /reperfusion injury in rabbits through the angiogenesis of microvessels reflected by the expression of the factors of vascular pseudohemophilia.DESIGN: A randomized controlled animal trial.SETTING: Department of Medical Imaging, Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University.MATERIALS: Sixty-five healthy male New Zealand rabbits of clean degree, weighing (2.6±0.2) kg, aged 4.5-5 months, were used. The polyclonal antibody against vascular pseudohemophilia (Beijing Zhongshan Company), recombinant VEGF165 (Peprotech Company, USA), biotinylated second antibody and ABC compound (Wuhan Boster Company) were applied.METHODS: The experiments were carried out in the Laboratory of Neuromolecular Imaging and Neuropathy, Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University from May to August in 2005. ① The rabbits were randomly divided into three groups: sham-operated group (n=15), control group (n=25) and VEGF-treated group (n=25). In the control group and VEGF-treated group, models were established by middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) induced focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion. In the VEGF-treated group, VEGF165 (2.5 mg/L) was stereotactically injected into the surrounding regions of the infarcted sites immediately after the 2-hour ischemia/reperfusion; Saline of the same dosage was injected in the control group. But the rabbits in the sham-operated group were only drilled but not administrated. ② The experimental indexes were observed on the 3rd, 7th, 14th, 28th and 70th days of the experiment respectively, 3 rabbits in the sham-operated group and 5 in the control group and VEGF-treated group were observed at each time point. The brain tissues in the surrounding regions of the infarcted sites were collected. The positive expressions of the factors of vascular pseudohemophilia in vascular endothelial cells were analyzed with immunohistochemical method. The microvessels in unit statistical field were counted with the imaging analytical software. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The changes of microvascular density in the brain tissue and the positive expressions of the factors of vascular pseudohemophilia in the surrounding regions of the infarcted sites were observed on the 3rd, 7th, 14th, 28th and 70th days of the experiment.RESULTS: All the 65 New Zealand rabbits were involved in the analysis of results without deletion. ① Changes of the number of microvessels at different time points in each group: There were no obvious changes at different time points in the sham-operated group. The numbers of microvessels at 7 and 14 days were obviously more in the control group than in the sham-operated group [(6.0±1.1), (9.0±0.9) microvessels; (3.0±1.1), (3.0±1.1) microvessels; P < 0.05-0.01], and those at 3, 7, 14 and 28 days were obviously more in the VEGF-treated group than in the control group [(8.3±2.0), (13.4±1.4), (15.5±2.3), (6.8±1.0) microvessels; (3.4±0.6), (6.0±1.1), (9.0±0.9), (3.2±0.8) microvessels; P < 0.01]. ② Positive expressions of the factors of vascular pseudohemophilia in the surrounding regions of infarcted sites: There were no obvious changes at different time points in the sham-operated group. In the control group, the changing law of the expressions was the same as that for the number of microvessels that the expression began to mildly increase at 7 days, reached the peak value at 14 days, and began to reduce at 28 days. In the VEGF-treated group, the expression was obviously increased at 3 days, also reached the peak value at 14 days, and reduced to the normal level at 70 days, but the expressions were obviously stronger than those in the control group at the same time points.CONCLUSION: Angiogenesis can be obviously induced in rabbits after the focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury is treated with VEGF for 18 days.Huaijun Liu Jiping Yang Fenghai Liu Qiang Zhang Hui Li 2006Neural Regeneration Research2006,1,4:2
