1Rheostatic Control of ABA Signaling through HOS15-Mediated OST1 Degradation显示文摘Dehydrating stresses trigger the accumulation of abscisic acid(ABA),a key plant stress-signaling hormone that activates Snf1-Related Kinases(SnRK2s)to mount adaptive responses.However,the regulatory circuits that terminate the SnRK2s signal relay after acclimation or post-stress conditions remain to be defined.Here,we show that the desensitization of the ABA signal is achieved by the regulation of OST1(SnRK2.6)protein stability via the E3-ubiquitin ligase HOS15.Upon ABA signal,HOS15-induced degradation of OST1 is inhibited and stabilized OST1 promotes the stress response.When the ABA signal terminates,protein phosphatases ABI1/2 promote rapid degradation of OST1 via HOS15.Notably,we found that even in the presence of ABA,OST1 levels are also depleted within hours of ABA signal onset.The unexpected dynamics of OST1 abundance are then resolved by systematic mathematical modeling,demonstrating a desensitizing feedback loop by which OST1-induced upregulation of ABI1/2 leads to the degradation of OST1.This model illustrates the complex rheostat dynamics underlying the ABA-induced stress response and desensitization.Akhtar Ali Jae Kyoung Kim Masood Jan Haris Ali Khan Irfan Ullah Khan Mingzhe Shen Junghoon Park Chae Jin Lim Shah Hussain Dongwon Baek Kai Wang Woo Sik Chung Vicente Rubio Sang Yeol Lee Zhizhong Gong Woe Yeon Kim Ray ABressan Jose MPardo Dae-Jin Yun 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,11:5

3Effects of Lizhong Tang on gastrointestinal motility in mice显示文摘AIM To investigate the effects of Lizhong Tang,a traditional Chinese medicine formula,on gastrointestinal motility in mice.METHODS The in vivo effects of Lizhong Tang on GI motility were investigated by measuring the intestinal transit rates(ITRs) and gastric emptying(GE) values in normal mice and in mice with experimentally induced GI motility dysfunction(GMD).RESULTS In normal ICR mice,the ITR and GE values were significantly and dose-dependently increased by Lizhong Tang(ITR values: 54.4% ± 1.9% vs 65.2% ± 1.8%,P < 0.01 with 0.1 g/kg Lizhong Tang and 54.4% ± 1.9% vs 83.8% ± 1.9%,P < 0.01 with 1 g/kg Lizhong Tang; GE values: 60.7% ± 1.9% vs 66.8% ± 2.1%,P < 0.05 with 0.1 g/kg Lizhong Tang and 60.7% ± 1.9% vs 72.5% ± 1.7%,P < 0.01 with 1 g/kg Lizhong Tang). The ITRs of the GMD mice were significantly reduced compared with those of the normal mice,which were significantly and dose-dependently reversed by Lizhong Tang. 5An Adaptive Grouping Scheme in Ultra-Dense IEEE 802.11ax Network Using Buffer State Report Based Two-Stage Mechanism显示文摘IEEE 802.11ax,which is an emerging WLAN standard,aims at providing highly efficient communication in ultra-dense wireless networks.However,due to a large number of stations(STAs)in the ultra-dense device deployment scenarios,the potentially high packet collision rate significantly decreases the communication efficiency of WLAN.In this paper,we propose an adaptive STA grouping scheme to overcome this dense network challenge in IEEE 802.11ax by using Buffer State Report(BSR)based Two-stage Mechanism(BTM).In order to achieve the optimal efficiency of BSR delivery,we analyze the functional relationship between STA number in group and Resource Unit(RU)efficiency.Based on this analysis results,an adaptive STA grouping algorithm with variable group size is proposed to achieve efficient grouping in BTM.The numerical results demonstrate that the proposed adaptive BTM grouping algorithm significantly improves the BSR delivery efficiency and the throughput of overall system and each STA in the ultra-dense wireless network.Jiyang Bai He Fang Junghoon Suh Osama Aboul-Magd Edward Au Xianbin Wang 2019China Communications2019,16,9:2
6Uniaxially crumpled graphene as a platform for guided myotube formation显示文摘Graphene,owing to its inherent chemical inertness,biocompatibility,and mechanical flexibility,has great potential in guiding cell behaviors such as adhesion and differentiation.However,due to the two-dimensional(2D)nature of graphene,the microfabrication of graphene into micro/nanoscale patterns has been widely adopted for guiding cellular assembly.In this study,we report crumpled graphene,i.e.,monolithically defined graphene with a nanoscale wavy surface texture,as a tissue engineering platform that can efficiently promote aligned C2C12 mouse myoblast cell differentiation.We imparted out-of-plane,nanoscale crumpled morphologies to flat graphene via compressive straininduced deformation.When C2C12 mouse myoblast cells were seeded on the uniaxially crumpled graphene,not only were the alignment and elongation promoted at a single-cell level but also the differentiation and maturation of myotubes were enhanced compared to that on flat graphene.These results demonstrate the utility of the crumpled graphene platform for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine for skeletal muscle tissues.Junghoon Kim Juyoung Leem Hong Nam Kim Pilgyu Kang Jonghyun Choi Md Farhadul Haque Daeshik Kang SungWoo Nam 2019Microsystems & Nanoengineering2019,5,1:2

11Reliable cloud storage system for mobile devices using personal computer显示文摘In recent years,the use of mobile devices such as smart phones,tablet PCs,etc.is rapidly increasing.In case of these mobile devices,the storage space is limited due to their characteristics.To make up for the limited space of storage in mobile devices,several methods are being researched.Of these,cloud storage service(CSS),one of cloud computing services,is an efficient solution to compensate such limited storage space.CSS is a service of storing files to the storage and thus getting access to stored files through networks(Internet)at anytime,anywhere.As for the existing CSS,users store their personally important files in the cloud storage,not in their own computers.It may cause security problems such as the leaking of information from private files or the damaging to the information.Thus,we propose a cloud storage system which can solve the security problem of CSS for mobile devices using the personal computer.Our system is deigned to store and manage files through the direct communication between mobile devices and personal computer storages by using the software as a service(SaaS),one of computing services,instead of directly storing files into cloud storages.Sanggeun Song Junghoon Shin Sangjun Lee 2012Journal of Measurement Science and Instrumentation2012,3,3:1
