1Multi-dimensional overall regulatory modes and threshold values for water cycle of the Haihe River Basin显示文摘In this study, a multi-dimensional critical regulatory criteria and decision-making mechanism based on the scientific cognition of multi-dimensional attributes and characteristics of the water cycle was proposed. This system was functioned by deeply discriminating the nature-society binary characteristics of the five-dimensional characteristics of the water cycle system of the Haihe River Basin (water resources, economy, society, ecology, and environment) under the influence of high-intensity human activities and hydrological changes and by analyzing the organic interactive relationships between the five dimensions and their overall effect on the water cycle. A GDP calculation model was constructed in this study by adjusting the water environment for water resources, after which five-dimensional normalization objective functions were established for multi-objective analysis to carry out trade-off analysis of multi-dimensional regulatory indexes. In addition, synergetic theory, entropy theory and dissipation structure theory were introduced to construct an evaluation model for multi-dimensional regulatory schemes. A water cycle multi-dimensional critical overall regulatory model system was also established. This system consisted of a multi-objective macroeconomic model (DAMOS), water resource allocation model based on rules (ROWAS), evaluation model for WEDP (EMW) and multi-dimensional regulatory scheme evaluation model (SEAMUR) as the main body. To address the national demands faced by the Haihe River Basin as a result of combinatorial schemes for different hydrological series and water amounts diverted by the south-to-north water diversion project, this study adopted a hierarchy progression method to set up the technologies, investigated multi-dimensional overall regulatory methods, proposed an overall regulation threshold value for the water cycle of the Haihe River Basin, and recommended corresponding five-dimensional regulatory schemes.GAN Hong WANG Lin CAO YinBai YOU JinJun GAN ZhiGuo QIN ChangHai HE Shan XU Kai 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,27:4

4Science with the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST)显示文摘The Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST) is a dedicated photometric surveying facility being built jointly by University of Science and Technology of China(USTC) and the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO). It is equipped with a 2.5-meter diameter primary mirror, an active optics system, and a mosaic CCD camera with 0.73 gigapixels on the primary focal plane for highquality image capture over a 6.5-square-degree field of view. The installation of WFST near the summit of Saishiteng mountain in the Lenghu region is scheduled in summer of 2023, and the operation is planned to start three months later. WFST will scan the northern sky in four optical bands(u, g, r and i) at cadences from hourly/daily in the deep high-cadence survey(DHS) program, to semi-weekly in the wide field survey(WFS) program. During a photometric night, a nominal 30 s exposure in the WFS program will reach a depth of 22.27, 23.32, 22.84, and 22.31(AB magnitudes) in these four bands, respectively, allowing for the detection of a tremendous amount of transients in the low-z universe and a systematic investigation of the variability of Galactic and extragalactic objects. In the DHS program, intranight 90 s exposures as deep as 23(u) and 24 mag(g), in combination with target of opportunity follow-ups, will provide a unique opportunity to explore energetic transients in demand for high sensitivities, including the electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave events, supernovae within a few hours of their explosions,tidal disruption events and fast, luminous optical transients even beyond redshift of unity. In addition, the final 6-year co-added images, anticipated to reach g■25.8 mag in WFS or 1.5 mags deeper in DHS, will be of fundamental importance to general Galactic and extragalactic science. The highly uniform legacy surveys of WFST will serve as an indispensable complement to those of the Vera C. 9Therapeutic effect of ketogenic diet treatment on type 2 diabetes显示文摘Diet plays an important role in diabetes development.The effect of ketogenic diet on type 2 diabetes remains elusive.In this study,we collect diabetes related physiological parameters and abdominal MRI images to evaluate the effect of ketogenic diet after 3-months of consecutive treatment.Ketogenic diet mitigates the diabetes symptom inferring from the statistically significant reduction of key diabetic physiological parameters such as Hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)concentration,Triglyceride(TG),Fasting blood glucose(FBG),Body Mass Index(BMI),and adipose tissue volume.Moreover,we propose a new parameter to quantify the treating effect of ketogenic diet since Slope and Offset of Oral Glucose Tolerance Test(SOOGTT)incorporate more sampling points by fitting OGTT(Oral Glucose Tolerance Test)curve.SOOGTT shows statistically significant(P<0.001)treating effect of ketogenic diet on type 2 diabetes.We use artificial intelligence to segment adipose tissue for treatment evaluation,which shows that ketogenic diet reduces the amount of adipose tissue.Fang Li Yang Shen Qun Chen Xingyu Li Hongnan Yang Canyang Zhang Jinjun Lin Zhicheng Du Chenyao Jiang Chengming Yang Dongmei Yu Peiwu Qin 2022Journal of Future Foods2022,2,2:0
10Effect of Caragana korshinskii Silage at Different Growth Stages on the Feeding of Livestock显示文摘[Objectives] Caragana korshinskii resources are rich in Ordos with a large planting area, but they have not been fully and reasonably utilized. This study aims to effectively convert C. korshinskii into high-quality feed, improve the quality of milk and meat of herbivores and increase production. [Methods] The utilization of C. korshinskii in feed was studied in various aspects, the factors were selected, the level was determined, and the multi-factor experiment—orthogonal experiment was conducted. [Results] The effect on the growth of sheep was in the order of silage > C. korshinskii feed > corn stalk silage > hay meal, and the effect on the growth of goats was in the order of hay meal > C. korshinskii feed > silage > corn stalk silage. 11Versatile and scalable chemical vapor deposition of vertically aligned MoTe2 on reusable Mo foils显示文摘Layered MoTe2 has shown great promises for optoelectronics and energy-storage applications due to its exceptional optical and electrochemical properties.To date,considerable efforts have been devoted to fabricating layered MoTe2 with lateral orientation by means of mechanical/chemical exfoliation and chemical vapor deposition(CVD)methods.As compared to its horizontal counterparts,vertically aligned MoTe2 with higher density of active edge sites is expected to possess unique optoelectronic and electrochemical properties,while which has not been reported yet.In this work,we report a versatile and scalable CVD growth of vertically aligned MoTe2 with length of up to〜7.5 fjm on Mo foil.Remarkably,the dominant phase of the vertically aligned MoTe2 can be tuned from 2H to 1T’by increasing the growth temperature from 630 to 7800C.Owing to the weak interaction between the as-grown MoTe2 and Mo foil,the as-grown MoTe2 can be easily detached from the Mo foil.This in turn enabled economic reuse of the Mo foil for multiple growth.Moreover,the vertical growth of the MoTe2 is proposed to be caused by the internal strain generated during tellurization of Mo foil.Furthermore,the as-grown MoTe2 can also be directly dispersed in solvent to produce high-quality MoTe2 nanosheets.The versatility of this growth strategy was further demonstrated by fabricating other vertically aligned transition metal chalcogenides(TMDs)such as TaTe2 and MoSe2.Hence,this work paves the path towards achieving unique TMDs structures to enable high-performance optoelectronic and electrochemical devices.Jinjun Lin Hong Wang Roland Yingjie Tay Hongling Li Maziar Shakerzadeh Siu Hon Tsang Zheng Liu Edwin Hang Tong Teo 2020Nano Research2020,13,9:0

13Evaluation of airborne transmission risk in university towns based on IEQ surveys显示文摘This study aims to evaluate airborne transmission risk in university towns during the COVID-19 pandemic based on surveys of indoor environmental quality(IEQ).Both on-site measurements and questionnaire surveys were carried out in public buildings in university towns in Changsha,China.Air temperature,relative humidity,and CO 2 concentration in one library,ten classrooms,eight canteens,seven restaurants,and sixteen malls were mea-sured.2220 valid questionnaires concerning occupants’sensation on thermal environment,air movement,and indoor air quality were collected.A 3-level evaluation method of airborne transmission risk that is dependent on building type and indoor CO 2 concentration was developed.Excessive CO 2 concentration is found in library(1045 ppm),classrooms(1151 ppm),restaurants(1242 ppm),and malls(1057 ppm).The percentage time of“high risk”accounts for 18-100%in these buildings.The results reveal a serious problem:numerous public buildings in China and probably other resource limited countries are not basically prepared and equipped to cope with airborne transmission.This fact should be taken into account when developing guidelines and formu-lating mitigation measures.Real-time monitoring and displaying IEQ and thus the transmission risk level should be an important way to be widely implemented in public buildings.Yufan Chang Xiaochen Zhang Ge Song Jing Liu Chen Lin Jinjun Ye Jie Hu Lei Tang Zhengtao Ai 2023Energy and Built Environment2023,4,5:0

15A Composite Transformer-Based Multi-Stage Defect Detection Architecture for Sewer Pipes显示文摘Urban sewer pipes are a vital infrastructure in modern cities,and their defects must be detected in time to prevent potential malfunctioning.In recent years,to relieve the manual efforts by human experts,models based on deep learning have been introduced to automatically identify potential defects.However,these models are insufficient in terms of dataset complexity,model versatility and performance.Our work addresses these issues with amulti-stage defect detection architecture using a composite backbone Swin Transformer.Themodel based on this architecture is trained using a more comprehensive dataset containingmore classes of defects.By ablation studies on the modules of combined backbone Swin Transformer,multi-stage detector,test-time data augmentation and model fusion,it is revealed that they all contribute to the improvement of detection accuracy from different aspects.The model incorporating all these modules achieves the mean Average Precision(mAP)of 78.6% at an Intersection over Union(IoU)threshold of 0.5.This represents an improvement of 14.1% over the ResNet50 Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Network(R-CNN)model and a 6.7% improvement over You Only Look Once version 6(YOLOv6)-large,the highest in the YOLO methods.In addition,for other defect detection models for sewer pipes,although direct comparison with themis infeasible due to the unavailability of their private datasets,our results are obtained from a more comprehensive dataset and have superior generalization capabilities.Zifeng Yu Xianfeng Li Lianpeng Sun Jinjun Zhu Jianxin Lin 2024Computers, Materials & Continua2024,78,1:0
