1Downregulation of long non-coding RNA MEG3 promotes proliferation, migration, and invasion of human hepatocellular carcinoma cells by upregulating TGF-β1显示文摘Hepatocellular carci no ma is a common malig nant can cer with high incide nee. And long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play pivotal roles in the development of different types of cancers. In this study, we aimed to investigate the role of lncRNA maternally expressed gene 3 (MEG3) in the development and progression of hepatocellular carcinoma. Expression of MEG3 in tumor tissues and adjacent healthy tissues of hepatocellular carcinoma patients, as well as the serum of both hepatocellular carcinoma patients and healthy controls, was detected by quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction. The results showed that expression level of MEG3 was significantly lower in tumor tissues than in adjacent healthy tissues. Serum level of MEG3 was also significantly lower in hepatocellular carci noma patients tha n in normal controls. The receiver operating characteristic curve analysis was used to evaluate the diagnostic value of MEG3 for hepatocellular carcinoma, and the prognostic value of MEG3 for this disease was analyzed using Kaplan-Meier method. The results indicated that serum level of MEG3 was a diagnostic and prognostic marker for hepatocellular carcinoma. We also found that MEG3 small interfering Ribonucleic Acid (siRNA) silencing promoted the proliferation, migration, and invasi on of hepatocellular carci noma cells by CCK-8 assay, transwell migration, and invasion assay, respectively, while TGF-β inhibitor treatment reduced those enhancing effects. MEG3 siRNA silencing also increased the expression level of TGF-β1. 2Effects of L-3-n-butylphthalide on caspase-3 and nuclear factor kappa-B expression in primary basal forebrain and hippocampal cultures after beta-amyloid peptide 1-42 treatment显示文摘BACKGROUND:L-3-n-butylphthalide(L-NBP) can inhibit phosphorylation of tau protein and reduce the neurotoxicity of beta-amyloid peptide 1-42(Aβ_(1-42)). OBJECTIVE:To observe the neuroprotective effects of L-NBP on caspase-3 and nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB) expression in a rat model of Alzheimer's disease. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A cell experiment was performed at the Central Laboratory of Provincial Hospital affiliated to Shandong University between January 2008 and August 2008. MATERIALS:L-NBP(purity>98%) was provided by Shijiazhuang Pharma Group NBP Pharmaceutical Company Limited.Aβ_(1-42),3-[4,5-dimethylthiazolo-2]-2,5 iphenyltetrazolium bromide(MTT),and rabbit anti-Caspase-3 polyclonal antibody were provided by Cell Signaling, USA;goat anti-choactase and rabbit anti-NF-κB antibodies were provided by Santa Cruz,USA. METHODS:Primary cultures were generated from rat basal forebrain and hippocampal neurons at 17 or 19 days of gestation.The cells were assigned into five groups:the control group,the Aβ_(1-42) group(2μmol/ L),the Aβ_(1-42) + 0.1μmol/L L-NBP group,the Aβ_(1-42)+ 1μmol/L L-NBP group,and the Aβ_(1-42)+ 10μmol/L L-NBP group.The neurons were treated with Aβ_(1-42)(2μmol/L) alone or in combination with L-NBP(0.1,1,10μmol/L) for 48 hours.Cells in the control group were incubated in PBS. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Morphologic changes were evaluated using inverted microscopy, viability using the MTT method,and the changes in caspase-3 and NF-κB expression using Western blot. RESULTS:Induction with Aβ_(1-42) for 48 hours caused cell death and soma atrophy,and increased caspase-3 and NF-κB expression(P<0.05).L-NBP blocked these changes in cell morphology, decreased caspase-3 and NF-κB expression(P<0.05),and improved cell viability,especially at the high dose(P<0.05). 8Vapor phase growth of two-dimensional PdSe2 nanosheets for high-photoresponsivity near-infrared photodetectors显示文摘Palladium diselenide(PdSe2),a stable layered material with pentagonal structure,has attracted extensive interest due to its excellent electrical and optoelectronic performance.Here,we report a reliable process to synthesize PdSe2 via chemical vapor deposition(CVD)method.Through systematic regulation of temperature in the growth process,we can tune the thickness,size,nucleation density and morphology of PdSe2 nanosheets.Field-effect transistors based on PdSe2 nanosheets exhibit n-type behavior and present a high electron mobility of 105 cm^2·V^−1·s^−1.The electrical property of the devices after 6 months keeping in the air show little change,implying outstanding air-stability of PdSe2.In addition,PdSe2 near-infrared photodetector shows a photoresponsivity of 660 A·W^−1 under 914 nm laser.These performances are better than those of most CVD-grown 2D materials,making ultrathin PdSe2 a highly qualified candidate material for next-generation optoelectronic applications.Weiting Xu Jiayang Jiang Huifang Ma Zhengwei Zhang Jia Li Bei Zhao Ruixia Wu Xiangdong Yang Hongmei Zhang Bailing Li Weining Shu Zucheng Zhang Bo Li Yuan Liu Lei Liao Xidong Duan 2020Nano Research2020,13,8:1

13Archeological crop marks identified from Cosmo-SkyMed time series: the case of Han-Wei capital city, Luoyang, China显示文摘The development of spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR)technology declares that the golden era of SAR remote sensing in archeology is approaching;however,nowadays its methodology framework is still lacking due to the inadequate case studies validated by ground-truths.In this study,we investigated the crop marks using multi-temporal Cosmo-SkyMed data acquired in 2013 by applying a twostep decision-tree classifier in conjunction with a spatial analysis in an area of archeological interest nearby the archeological site of Han-Wei capital city(1900–1500 BP),in Luoyang,China.The time-series backscattering anomalies related to the wheat growth cycle were identified and then further validated in two zones by geophysical investigations(Ground Penetration Radar and electrical measurements)and in a third zone by archeological excavations made after the SAR data acquisition.This study provides a new approach for the relic detection,shallowly buried and covered by the crop vegetation,by temporal crop marks on spaceborne SAR images.We also emphasize the necessity to establish a satellite-to-ground methodology framework for the promotion of remote-sensing technology in archeology.Aihui Jiang Fulong Chen Nicola Masini Luigi Capozzoli Gerardo Romano Maria Sileo Ruixia Yang Panpan Tang Panpan Chen Rosa Lasaponara Guolin Liu 2017International Journal of Digital Earth2017,10,8:0
