2Oxidation behavior of cobalt nanoparticles studied by in situ environmental transmission electron microscopy显示文摘The dynamics of oxidation of cobalt nanoparticles were directly revealed by in situ environmental transmission electron microscopy.Firstly,cobalt nanoparticles were oxidized to polycrystalline cobalt monoxide,then to polycrystalline tricobalt tetroxide,in the presence of oxygen with a low partial pressure.Numerous cavities(or voids) were formed during the oxidation,owing to the Kirkendall effect.Analysis of the oxides growth suggested that the oxidation of cobalt nanoparticles followed a parabolic rate law,which was consistent with diffusion-limited kinetics.In situ transmission electron microscopy allowed potential atomic oxidation pathways to be considered.The outward diffusion of cobalt atoms inside the oxide layer controlled the oxidation,and formed the hollow structure.Irradiation by the electron beam,which destroyed the sealing effect of graphite layer coated on the cobalt surface and resulted in fast oxidation rate,played an important role in activating and promoting the oxidations.These findings further our understanding on the microscopic kinetics of metal nanocrystal oxidation and knowledge of energetic electrons promoting oxidation reaction.Dejiong Zhang Chuanhong Jin Z.Y.Li Ze Zhang Jixue Li 2017Science Bulletin2017,62,11:4
3Polymer nanoparticles as adjuvants in cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Immunotherapy is a promising strategy to inhibit cancer progression viaactivation of the immune system. In immunotherapy, adjuvants as immunologicstimulants or delivery systems play a critical role in inducing the antitumorimmune response and decreasing the side effects of immune stimulants. Polymernanoparticles have attracted increasing attention as an indispensable componentof immunotherapy, owing to their favorable properties, such as excellentbiocompatibility and biodegradability, flexible size, high activity as immunestimulants, large surface area for binding multivalent immune ligands, and highloading capacity for immune-related components. In cancer immunotherap^polymer nanoparticles can protect cargo from the surrounding milieu, deliverthe antigens and immunostimulatory molecules to antigen-presenting cells,or stimulate robust T cell response. 4Atomic-scale mechanism of the θ’’→θ’ phase transformation in Al-Cu alloys显示文摘The phase transformation of θ’’→θ’ in an Al-5.7 Cu alloy was investigated by aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy, and the tranformation mode of θ’’→θ’ during aging treatment was clarified. In the presence of the θ’ phases, θ’ was found to be formed by in-situ transformation fromθ’’ with the same plate shape, size and broad faces. The transformation starts from multiple sites within the θ’ precipitate and the whole θ’ phase finally forms as the preferential θ’ sections grow and connect with each other. 9High-performance self-organized Si nanocomposite anode for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Silicon is being investigated extensively as an anodic material for next-generation lithium ion batteries for portable energy storage and electric vehicles.However,the large changes in volume during cycling lead to the breakdown of the conductive network in Si anodes and the formation of an unstable solid-electrolyte interface,resulting in capacity fading.Here,we demonstrate nanoparticles with a Si@Mn_(22.6)Si_(5.4)C_4@C double-shell structure and the formation of self-organized Si-Mn-C nanocomposite anodes during the lithiation/delithiation process.The anode consists of amorphous Si particles less than 10 nm in diameter and separated by an interconnected conductive/buffer network,which exhibits excellent charge transfer kinetics and charge/discharge performances.A stable specific capacity of 1100 mAh·g^(-1) at 100 mA·g^(-1) and a coulombic efficiency of 99.2%after 30 cycles are achieved.Additionally,a rate capacity of 343 mAh·g^(-1) and a coulombic efficiency of 99.4%at 12000 mA·g^(-1) are also attainable.Owing to its simplicity and applicability,this strategy for improving electrode performance paves a way for the development of high-performance Si-based anodic materials for lithium ion batteries.Xiuyun Zhao Dingguo Xia Lin Gu Juncheng Yue Biao Li Hang Wei Huijun Yan Ruqiang Zou Yingxia Wang Xiayan Wang Ze Zhang Jixue Li 2014Journal of Energy Chemistry2014,23,3:1

14Comparison of the effects of pre-activators on morphology and corrosion resistance of phosphate conversion coating on magnesium alloy显示文摘In this study, Mg–6.0Zn–3.0Sn–0.5Mn(ZTM630) magnesium alloy was pre-activated by colloidal Ti, oxalic acid, and phosphoric acid,and a phosphate conversion coating(PCC) was prepared on the alloy surface. The morphology and corrosion resistance of the prepared PCCs were investigated. Surface morphology studies showed that the phosphate crystals that formed the coating were the smallest for the sample pre-activated by phosphoric acid. The coating on the colloidal Ti and the phosphoric acid samples had the largest and the smallest thickness and surface roughness, respectively. The reason for the discrepancy was analyzed by comparing the surface morphologies of alloy samples immediately after the pre-activation treatment and various phosphating treatments. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that all three PCCs contained the same compounds. The corrosion resistance time from the copper sulfate drop test and the electrochemical data from the potentiodynamic polarization curves showed that the coating pre-activated by phosphoric acid had the best corrosion resistance. 15Enhancing thermodynamic stability of single-crystal Ni-rich cathode material via a synergistic dual-substitution strategy显示文摘Nickel(Ni)-rich cathode materials have become promising candidates for the next-generation electrical vehicles due to their high specific capacity.However,the poor thermodynamic stability(including cyclic performance and safety performance or thermal stability)will restrain their wide commercial application.Herein,a single-crystal Ni-rich Li Ni_(0.83)Co_(0.12)Mn_(0.05)O_(2) cathode material is synthesized and modified by a dual-substitution strategy in which the high-valence doping element improves the structural stability by forming strong metal–oxygen binding forces,while the low-valence doping element eliminates high Li^(+)/Ni^(2+)mixing.As a result,this synergistic dual substitution can effectively suppress H2-H3 phase transition and generation of microcracks,thereby ultimately improving the thermodynamic stability of Ni-rich cathode material.Notably,the dual-doped Ni-rich cathode delivers an extremely high capacity retention of 81%after 250 cycles(vs.Li/Li+)in coin-type half cells and 87%after 1000 cycles(vs.graphite/Li^(+))in pouch-type full cells at a high temperature of 55℃.More impressively,the dual-doped sample exhibits excellent thermal stability,which demonstrates a higher thermal runaway temperature and a lower calorific value.The synergetic effects of this dual-substitution strategy pave a new pathway for addressing the critical challenges of Ni-rich cathode at high temperatures,which will significantly advance the high-energy-density and high-safety cathodes to the subsequent commercialization.Jixue Shen Hui Li Haoyu Qi Zhan Lin Zeheng Li Chuanbo Zheng Weitong Du Hao Chen Shanqing Zhang 2024Journal of Energy Chemistry2024,88,1:0

17Efficient SO_(2)removal using aqueous ionic liquid at low partial pressure显示文摘The development of novel absorbents is essential for SO_(2)removal.In this study,a novel ionic liquid(IL,[BHEP][HSO_(4)])was prepared,and water was selected as the co-solvent.The density and viscosity of aqueous[BHEP][HSO_(4)]were measured and the SO_(2)absorption performance was systematically investigated.Furthermore,the thermodynamic properties of SO_(2)in aqueous[BHEP][HSO_(4)]were calculated.Additionally,the mechanism of SO_(2)absorption in aqueous[BHEP][HSO_(4)]was confirmed using Fouriertransform infrared and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.It showed that[BHEP][HSO_(4)]absorbed0.302 g·g^(-1)(g SO_(2)/g IL)at an SO_(2)partial pressure of 2000μl·L^(-1)at 303.2 K,and the SO_(2)desorption enthalpy was-39.63 k J·mol^(-1).The mechanistic study confirmed the chemical absorption of SO_(2)in aqueous[BHEP][HSO_(4)].Yutong Jiang Yifeng Chen Fuliu Yang Jixue Fan Jun Li Zhuhong Yang Xiaoyan Ji 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,58,6:0
