Metal Flowing of Involute Spline Cold Roll-beating Forming显示文摘The present research on involute spline cold roll-beating forming is mainly about the principles and motion relations of cold roll-beating,the theory of roller design, and the stress and strain field analysis of cold roll-beating,etc.However,the research on law of metal flow in the forming process of involute spline cold roll-beating is rare.According to the principle of involute spline cold roll-beating,the contact model between the rollers and the spline shaft blank in the process of cold roll-beating forming is established, and the theoretical analysis of metal flow in the cold roll-beating deforming region is proceeded.A finite element model of the spline cold roll-beating process is established, the formation mechanism of the involute spline tooth profile in cold roll-beating forming process is studied, and the node flow tracks of the deformation area are analyzed. The experimental research on the metal flow of cold roll-beating spline is conducted, and the metallographic structure variation, grain characteristics and metal flow line of the different tooth profile area are analyzed. The experimental results show that the particle flow directions of the deformable bodies in cold roll-beating deformation area are determined by the minimum moving resistance. There are five types of metal flow rules of the deforming region in the process of cold roll-beating forming. The characteristics of involute spline cold roll-beating forming are given, and the forming mechanism of involute spline cold roll-beating is revealed. This paper researches the law of metal flow in the forming process of involute spline cold roll-beating,which provides theoretical supports for solving the tooth profile forming quality problem.CUI Fengkui WANG Xiaoqiang ZHANG Fengshou XU Hongyu QUAN Jianhui LI Yan 2013Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2013,26,5:19
Tribological behaviour diagnostic and fault detection of mechanical seals based on acoustic emission measurements显示文摘Acoustic emission(AE) has been studied for monitoring the condition of mechanical seals by many researchers, however to the best knowledge of the authors, typical fault cases and their effects on tribological behaviour of mechanical seals have not yet been successfully investigated. In this paper, AE signatures from common faults of mechanical seals are studied in association with tribological behaviour of sealing gap to develop more reliable condition monitoring approaches. A purpose-built test rig was employed for recording AE signals from the mechanical seals under healthy and faulty conditions. The collected data was then processed using time domain and frequency domain analysis methods. The study has shown that AE signal parameters: root mean squared(RMS) along with AE spectrum, allows fault conditions including dry running, spring out and defective seal faces to be diagnosed under a wide range of operating conditions. However, when mechanical seals operate around their transition point, conventional signal processing methods may not allow a clear separation of the fault conditions from the healthy baseline. Therefore an auto-regressive(AR) model has been developed on recorded AE signals to classify different fault conditions of mechanical seals and satisfactory results have been perceived.Hossein TOWSYFYAN Fengshou GU Andrew D BALL Bo LIANG 2019Friction2019,7,6:10
Enhanced aromatic selectivity by the sheet-like ZSM-5 in syngas conversion显示文摘Aromatics are important basic chemicals. However, direct conversion of syngas via the conventional Fischer-Tropsch synthesis produces little aromatics. We presented herein that a bifunctional composite of ZSM-5 in combination with Zn Cr Oxcatalyzes syngas conversion to aromatics. Particularly, ZSM-5 crystals with a sheet-like morphology can enhance significantly the aromatization activity. The lower length ratio of the b/a axes of the crystals, the more aromatics form but without influencing the selectivity of small molecules such as CH4 and C2–C4. Since the acid properties and the Al chemical environment were not altered while the morphology changed, the enhanced aromatic selectivity is likely attributed to the favored diffusion of aromatics in these sheet-like crystals.Junhao Yang Ke Gong Dengyun Miao Feng Jiao Xiulian Pan Xiangju Meng Fengshou Xiao Xinhe Bao 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,8:10
he adaptive chirplet transform and its application in GPR target detection显示文摘探地雷达不仅能够探测金属目标体,而且能够探测非金属目标体,而成为UX0和地雷探测的一种重要的浅部地球物理方法。 Zeng Zhaofa Wu Fengshou Huang Ling Liu Fengshan Sun Jiguang 2009Applied Geophysics2009,6,2:8

Three-dimensional distinct element modeling of fault reactivation and induced seismicity due to hydraulic fracturing injection and backflow显示文摘This paper presents a three-dimensional fully hydro-mechanical coupled distinct element study on fault reactivation and induced seismicity due to hydraulic fracturing injection and subsequent backflow process, based on the geological data in Horn River Basin,Northeast British Columbia,Canada. The modeling results indicate that the maximum magnitude of seismic events appears at the fracturing stage. The increment of fluid volume in the fault determines the cumulative moment and maximum fault slippage, both of which are essentially proportional to the fluid volume. After backflow starts, the fluid near the joint intersection keeps flowing into the critically stressed fault, rather than backflows to the wellbore.Although fault slippage is affected by the changes of both pore pressure and ambient rock stress, their contributions are different at fracturing and backflow stages. At fracturing stage, pore pressure change shows a dominant effect on induced fault slippage. While at backflow stage, because the fault plane is under a critical stress state, any minor disturbance would trigger a fault slippage. The energy analysis indicates that aseismic deformation takes up a majority of the total deformation energy during hydraulic fracturing.A common regularity is found in both fracturing-and backflow-induced seismicity that the cumulative moment and maximum fault slippage are nearly proportional to the injected fluid volume. This study shows some novel insights into interpreting fracturing-and backflowinduced seismicity, and provides useful information for controlling and mitigating seismic hazards due to hydraulic fracturing.Zirui Yin Hongwei Huang Fengshou Zhang Lianyang Zhang Shawn Maxwell 2020Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2020,12,4:4
Probing the density dependence of the symmetry energy with central heavy ion collisions显示文摘An improved isospin dependent Boltzmann Langevin model,in which the inelastic channels and momentum dependent interactions are incorporated,is used to investigate the high-density behavior of nuclear symmetry energy.By taking several forms of nuclear symmetry energy,we calculate the time evolutions of neutron over proton ratio,π multiplicity and π-/π+ ratio, and the kinetic energy and transverse momentum spectra of π-/π+ ratio in the heavy ion collisions at 400A MeV.It is found that the neutron over proton ratio and π-/π+ ratio are very sensitive to the nuclear symmetry energy, and the π-is more sensitive to the nuclear symmetry energy than the π+.A supersoft symmetry energy results in a larger π-/π+ ratio.XIE Wenjie ZHANG Fengshou 2013Nuclear Science and Techniques2013,24,5:4
First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. We for the first time extended the limit to the m_(χ)<6 GeV/c^(2) region.Yi Wang Zhi Zeng Qian Yue LiTao Yang KeJun Kang YuanJing Li Mehment Agartioglu HaiPeng An JianPing Chang JingHan Chen YunHua Chen JianPing Cheng Cheng Yi Chiang WenHan Dai Zhi Deng ChangHao Fang XinPing Geng Hui Gong QiuJu Guo XuYuan Guo HongJian He Li He ShengMing He JinWei Hu TuChen Huang HanXiong Huang HaiTao Jia LiPing Jia Xi Jiang HauBin Li JianMin Li Jin Li MingXuan Li RenMingJie Li Xia Li YuLan Li Bin Liao FongKay Lin ShinTed Lin ShuKui Liu YanDong Liu Yu Liu YuanYuan Liu ZhongZhi Liu Hao Ma YuCai Mao QiYuan Nie JinHua Ning Hui Pan NingChun Qi Jie Ren XiChao Ruan ChangSong Shang Vivek Sharma Ze She Lakhwinder Singh Monoj Kumar Singh TianXi Sun ChangJian Tang WeiYou Tang Yang Tian GuangFu Wang Li Wang Qing Wang Yu Chen Wang YunXiang Wang Zhen Wang Henry Tsz-King Wong ShiYong Wu YuCheng Wu HaoYang Xing Yin Xu Tao Xue YuLu Yan Nan Yi ChunXu Yu HaiJun Yu JianFeng Yue Ming Zeng BingTao Zhang Lei Zhang FengShou Zhang ZhenYu Zhang KangKang Zhao MingGang Zhao JiFang Zhou ZuYing Zhou JingJun Zhu 2021Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,8:3
Frictional stability of Longmaxi shale gouges and its implication for deep seismic potential in the southeastern Sichuan Basin显示文摘Microearthquakes accompanying shale gas recovery highlight the importance of exploring the frictional and stability properties of shale gouges.Aiming to reveal the influencing factors on fault stability, this paper explores the impact of mineral compositions, effective stress and temperature on the frictional stability of Longmaxi shale gouges in deep reservoirs located in the Luzhou area, southeastern Sichuan Basin.Eleven shear experiments were conducted to define the frictional strength and stability of five shale gouges. The specific experimental conditions were as follows:temperatures:90–270°C;a confining stress:95 MPa;and pore fluid pressures:25–55 MPa.The results show that all five shale gouges generally display high frictional strength with friction coefficients ranging from 0.60 to 0.70 at the aforementioned experiment condition of pressures, and temperatures.Frictional stability is significantly affected by temperature and mineral compositions, but is insensitive to variation in pore fluid pressures.Fault instability is enhanced at higher temperatures(especially at>200°C)and with higher tectosilicate/carbonate contents. The results demonstrate that the combined effect of mineral composition and temperature is particularly important for induced seismicity during hydraulic fracturing in deep shale reservoirs.Fengshou Zhang Li Cui Mengke An Derek Elsworth Changrong He 2022Deep Underground Science and Engineering2022,1,1:2
Turbopump Condition Monitoring Using Incremental Clustering and One-class Support Vector Machine显示文摘Turbopump condition monitoring is a significant approach to ensure the safety of liquid rocket engine (LRE).Because of lack of fault samples,a monitoring system cannot be trained on all possible condition patterns. Thus it is important to differentiate abnormal or unknown patterns from normal pattern with novelty detection methods.One-class support vector machine (OCSVM) that has been commonly used for novelty detection cannot deal well with large scale samples. In order to model the normal pattern of the turbopump with OCSVM and so as to monitor the condition of the turbopump,a monitoring method that integrates OCSVM with incremental clustering is presented. In this method, the incremental clustering is used for sample reduction by extracting representative vectors from a large training set.The representative vectors are supposed to distribute uniformly in the object region and fulfill the region. And training OCSVM on these representative vectors yields a novelty detector.By applying this method to the analysis of the turbopump's historical test data,it shows that the incremental clustering algorithm can extract 91 representative points from more than 36 000 training vectors, and the OCSVM detector trained on these 91 representative points can recognize spikes in vibration signals caused by different abnormal events such as vane shedding,rub-impact and sensor faults. This monitoring method does not need fault samples during training as classical recognition methods. The method resolves the learning problem of large samples and is an alternative method for condition monitoring of the LRE turbopump.HU Lei HU Niaoqing QIN Guojun GU Fengshou 2011Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2011,24,3:2

Influence of fracture roughness on shear strength, slip stability and permeability:A mechanistic analysis by three-dimensional digital rock modeling显示文摘Subsurface fluid injections can disturb the effective stress regime by elevating pore pressure and potentially reactivate faults and fractures.Laboratory studies indicate that fracture rheology and permeability in such reactivation events are linked to the roughness of the fracture surfaces. In this study,we construct numerical models using discrete element method(DEM)to explore the influence of fracture surface roughness on the shear strength, slip stability, and permeability evolution during such slip events. For each simulation,a pair of analog rock coupons(three-dimensional bonded quartz particle analogs)representing a mated fracture is sheared under a velocity-stepping scheme. The roughness of the fracture is defined in terms of asperity height and asperity wavelength. Results show that(1)Samples with larger asperity heights(rougher),when sheared, exhibit a higher peak strength which quickly devolves to a residual strength after reaching a threshold shear displacement;(2)These rougher samples also exhibit greater slip stability due to a high degree of asperity wear and resultant production of wear products;(3)Long-term suppression of permeability is observed with rougher fractures, possibly due to the removal of asperities and redistribution of wear products, which locally reduces porosity in the dilating fracture;and(4)Increasing shear-parallel asperity wavelength reduces magnitudes of stress drops after peak strength and enhances fracture permeability, while increasing shear-perpendicular asperity wavelength results in sequential stress drops and a delay in permeability enhancement. This study provides insights into understanding of the mechanisms of frictional and rheological evolution of rough fractures anticipated during reactivation events.Chaoyi Wang Derek Elsworth Yi Fang Fengshou Zhang 2020Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2020,12,4:2

Temporo-Spatial Distribution and Evolution of Ore Deposits in the West Sector of the Northern Qilian Mountains显示文摘The west sector of the northern Qilian Mountains is well-known for the Jingtieshan-type iron deposits. A new breakthrough has been made in prospecting for gold and copper in recent years. In this paper, the distribution characteristics of ore deposits in the study area are discussed from the viewpoint of tectonic evolution. It is suggested that there are 9 stages of mineralization from the Palaeoproterozoic to Indosinian. Four minerogenetic series and two minerogenetic subseries of ore deposits are recognized. Iron mineralization occurred in several stages, while most of the metals were accumulated in large amounts in the Caledonian. The enrichment and mineralization of gold is related to large-scale shear-strike-slip faults and the ascent and unloading of deep-seated fluids.MAO Jingwen ZHANG Xiaoyu ZHANG Zhaochong REN Fengshou ZUO Guochao ZHANG Zuoheng YANG Jianmin WANG Zhiliang YE Dejin 1999Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)1999,73,2:1
