1A Potential Disease Susceptibility Gene CsLOB of Citrus Is Targeted by a Major Virulence Effector PthA of Xanthomonas citri subsp, citri显示文摘Dear Editor, Citrus bacterial canker (CBC),one of the most destructive diseases of citrus,has a severe economic impact on citrus industries in tropical and subtropical countries (Das,2003).It has been widely known that Xanthomonas cirri subsp.cirri (Xcc) causes the CBC by transferring the type-Ⅲ effectors (T3SEs) to the interior of the plant cell through type-Ⅲ secretion system (T3S) to modulate transcription of host plants to trigger CBC disease (Schaad et al.,2006).Pathotype A,the Asiatic form of Xcc,has a wide host range,is pathogenic on almost all citrus varieties,and contains a major virulence gene pthA encoding a T3S-secreted transcriptional activator-like effector (TALE) that promotes cellular hypertrophy (Al-Saadi et al.,2007).However,the susceptibility gene in citrus being responsible for the CBC and matching PthA of Xcc is largely unknown.Zheng Li Lifang Zou Gang Ye Li Xiong Zhiyuan Ji Muhammad Zakria Ni Hong Guoping Wang Gongyou Chen 2014Molecular Plant2014,7,5:9
2A comparative study of hydrothermal aging effect on cerium and lanthanum doped Cu/SSZ-13 catalysts for NH_(3)-SCR显示文摘Ce-or La-doped Cu/SSZ-13 catalysts were prepared by a hydrothermal method and Cu,Ce or La ions were incorporated through stepwise ion exchange,The catalyst activity was measured for the ammonia selective catalytic reduction reaction.The structure and composition of catalyst were characterized by using X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry solid-state NMR,NH_(3)-TPD techniques,and the active components were examined by XPS and XANES.The results indicate that the Ce and La doping can both completely preserve the SCR activity of Cu/SSZ-13 above 300℃,but there is also a decrease of activity below 200℃.On the other hand,Ce doping is beneficial to the formation of framework aluminum,stabilizes molecular sieve framework and Cu active sites of Cu/SSZ-13,thereby improves the catalyst hydrothermal stability.But La doping will decrease the amount of framework aluminum and Cu active sites of Cu/SSZ-13 after hydrothermally aging,even destroy zeolite CHA structure.This is quite harmful to the catalyst hydrothermal stability.Di Deng Shujun Deng Dandan He Zhiheng Wang Zhipeng Chen Yi Ji Guoping Yan Guangjin Hou Licheng Liu Hong He 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,8:5
3Multi-proxy evidence of environmental change related to collapse of the Liangzhu Culture in the Yangtze Delta,China显示文摘The Liangzhu Culture(5300–4300 cal.a BP)has been regarded as the culmination of the Neolithic Age in the Yangtze Delta and as an archaic state.However,the reason behind the collapse of the Liangzhu Culture remains controversial.Some scholars attributed it to social conflicts or foreign invasions,while others suggested that environmental deterioration,such as cold episodes,inundation and palaeo-typhoon events,disrupted the civilization.Notably,the yellowish silty sediments widely overlying the Liangzhu group sites have been presumed to be one of the vital clues to resolving these issues.The process and cause of their formation are key to understanding the decline in the Liangzhu Culture.In this study,two typical profiles composed of the Liangzhu cultural layer and yellowish silty sediments were collected in Liangzhu Ancient City.Multiple proxies,including pollen,phytoliths and diatoms,along with radiocarbon and optically stimulated luminescence dating and synthesized geochemical evidence from different sediments,were applied to reconstruct ecological and hydrological changes and discuss their linkage to cultural collapse.The regional ecology was typical freshwater wetlands during 4800–4400 cal.a BP,which facilitated rice farming and large-scale architectural engineering in Liangzhu Ancient City.Evidence from microfossils and dating of the yellowish silty sediments indicated that Liangzhu Ancient City was significantly affected by seawater after abandonment during 4300–3400 cal.a BP.Furthermore,geochemical evidence,including trace element and Sr-Nd isotopic compositions,suggested that the primary provenance of the yellowish silt was a mixture of sediments from the Qiantang River,East China Sea,Yangtze River and Yellow River,which had been transported to Liangzhu Ancient City by the Yellow Sea Coastal Current and a marine transgression.Therefore,based on evidence from archaeological sites and numerical simulation in the Yangtze Delta,it was supposed that the short-term accelerated relative sea-level rise at approximately 4400 cal.a BP caused a marine transgression around Taihu Lake,formed a large range of yellowish silty sediments,destroyed rice farming production,and ultimately led to the collapse of the Liangzhu Culture.Keyang HE Houyuan LU Guoping SUN Xiang JI Yonglei WANG Kaikai YAN Xinxin ZUO Jiangping ZHANG Bin LIU Ningyuan WANG 2021Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,6:3
4The relationships among structure variables of larch forests in China显示文摘Background:Larch(Larix Mill.)forests are widely distributed in the upper parts of mountainous areas in China,playing vital roles in constructing mountain landscapes and maintaining mountain environments.Despite their importance,our knowledges on the large-scale patterns of structure characteristics and the relationships between different structure variables are unclear.In this paper,we investigated 155 plots from 11 natural larch forest types across the country to explore the biogeographic patterns of the structure characteristics and the allometric relationships between different structure variables for Chinese larch forests.Results:The structure characteristics were significantly different among larch forest types.For different larch forest types,the power function fits the relationships between tree height and diameter at breast height(DBH),average DBH and stem density,and taper and stem density well,but with different exponents among larch forest types.The power exponents of the allometric relationships between tree height and DBH for different larch forest types varied from 0.61 to 0.93(mean=0.86)by standard major axis regression(SMA),and from 0.51 to 0.78(mean=0.56)by ordinary least square regression(OLS).The 50%,75%and 95%quantile regression(QR)and OLS indicated that the average DBH and taper of the L.gmelinii forests,L.gmelinii var.principis-rupprechtii forests,and L.sibirica forests were significantly correlated with stem density.Conclusions:The relationship between tree height and DBH showed a power function relationship for all larch forest types in China,but with different exponents.Overall,stem density was negatively correlated with average DBH and taper.The Sect.Larix forests exhibited stand density effect.Our findings provide an important basis for recognizing the biogeographic patterns of structure factors and for the management of larch forests in China.Wenjing Fang Qing Zhao Qiong Cai Anwar Eziz Guoping Chen Yuhao Feng Heng Zhang Jiangling Zhu Chengjun Ji Zhiyao Tang Jingyun Fang 2020Forest Ecosystems2020,7,4:2

6ACTIVE CONTROL OF A FLEXIBLE CANTILEVER PLATE WITH MULTIPLE TIME DELAYS显示文摘Active control of a flexible cantilever plate with multiple time delays is investigated using the discrete optimal control method. A controller with multiple time delays is presented. In this controller, time delay effect is incorporated in the mathematical model of the dynamic system throughout the control design and no approximations and assumptions are made in the controller derivation, so the system stability is easily guaranteed. Furthermore, this controller is available for both small time delays and large time delays. 15Mapping the distributions of blood-sucking mites and mite-borne agents in China:a modeling study显示文摘Background:Emerging mite-borne pathogens and associated disease burdens in recent decades are raising serious public health concerns,yet their distributions and ecology remain under-investigated.We aim to describe the geographical distributions of blood-sucking mites and mite-borne agents and to assess their ecological niches in China.Methods:We mapped 549 species of blood-sucking mites belonging to 100 genera at the county level and eight mite-associated agents detected from 36 species of blood-sucking mites in China during 1978–2020.Impacts of climatic and environmental factors on the ecology of 21 predominant vector mites and a leading pathogen,Orientia tsutsugamushi,were assessed using boosted regression tree(BRT)models,and model-predicted risks were mapped.We also estimated the model-predicted number,area and population size of afected counties for each of the 21 mite species in China.Results:Laelaps echidninus is the leading mite species that potentially afects 744 million people,followed by La.jettmari(517 million)and Eulaelaps stabularis(452 million).Leptotrombidium scutellare is the mite species harboring the highest variety of mite-borne agents including four Rickettsia species and two viruses,followed by Eu.stabularis(2 agents),L.palpale(2)and La.echidninus(2).The top two agents that parasitize the largest number of mite species are O.tsutsugamushi(28 species)and hantavirus(8).Mammalian richness,annual mean temperature and precipitation of the driest quarter jointly determine the ecology of the mites,forming four clusters of major mite species with distinct geographic distributions.High-risk areas of O.tsutsugamushi are mainly distributed in southern and eastern coastal provinces where 71.5 million people live.Conclusions:Ecological niches of major mite species and mite-borne pathogens are much more extensive than what have been observed,necessitating expansion of current fled surveillance.Tao Wang Fanfei Meng Tianle Che Jinjin Chen Haiyang Zhang Yang Ji Zhengwei Fan Guoping Zhao Wenhui Zhang Baogui Jiang Qiang Xu Chenlong Lv Taoxing Shi Shiman Ruan Lanzheng Liu Wei Liu Yang Yang Liqun Fang 2022Infectious Diseases of Poverty2022,11,2:0

17中国落叶栎林群落结构特征及气候和人类活动的影响显示文摘落叶栎林是中国温带地区和亚热带山地典型的植被类型之一。虽然已有大量关于中国落叶栎林的群落结构特征研究,但以往研究多局限于局域尺度或单个类群,而在国家尺度上的系统性研究较为缺乏。本文采用统一的调查方法获取682个天然落叶栎林样方数据,基于此数据分析了我国落叶栎林的群落结构特征及其空间格局,探究了影响其特征的气候和人为因素。研究结果表明,中国落叶栎林乔木层的平均胸径、平均树高、平均林分密度和平均总胸高断面积分别为:13.7 cm、10.0 m、1468株/ha和24.3 m^(2)/ha。落叶栎林乔木层、灌木层和草本层的平均物种丰富度分别为:6种/600 m^(2)、10种/100 m^(2)和4种/1 m^(2)。随纬度的升高,落叶栎林平均树高、林分密度、总胸高断面积、乔木层物种丰富度和灌木层物种丰富度均呈现显著降低趋势,林分平均胸径无显著变化,而草本层物种丰富度呈现显著增加趋势。进一步分析发现,相比于林分密度和草本层物种丰富度,气候和人类活动可以更多地解释平均胸径、平均树高、总胸高断面积、乔木层物种丰富度和灌木层物种丰富度的空间分异。此外,与降水相关的气候因子在塑造群落结构特征的空间格局方面起着更为重要的作用。总之,本研究为认识中国落叶栎林群落结构特征的生物地理格局及其对全球变化的响应提供了基础。Guoping Chen Qiong Cai Wenjing Fang Yuhao Feng Jiangling Zhu Chengjun Ji Zhiyao Tang Jingyun Fang 2022Journal of Plant Ecology2022,15,2:0
