3Molecular epidemiology, characterization of virulence factors and antibiotic resistance profile of Streptococcus agalactiae isolated from dairy farms in China and Pakistan显示文摘Streptococcus agalactiae is one of the most common pathogens that cause bovine mastitis worldwide. Identifying pathogen prevalence and virulence factors is critical for developing prevention and control approaches. Herein, 1 161 milk samples from various dairy farms in China(n=558) and Pakistan(n=603) were collected between 2019–2021 and were subjected to S. agalactiae isolation. Prevalence, serotyping, virulence genes, and antibiotic-resistant genes of S. agalactiae were evaluated by PCR assay. All isolates were characterized for haemolysis, biofilm production, cytotoxicity, adhesion, and invasion on bovine mammary epithelial cells. The prevalence of S. agalactiae-induced mastitis in cattle was found to be considerably higher in Pakistan than in China. Jiangsu and Sindh provinces had the highest area-wise prevalence in China and Pakistan, respectively. Serotypes Ia and II were prevalent in both countries, whereas serotype III was found only in Pakistan. Moreover, all isolates tested positive for PI-2b gene but negative for PI-1 and PI-2a genes. All isolates harboured cfb, cylE, hylB, and fbsB virulent genes, whereas many of them lacked bibA, rib and bca. However, the absence of bac and scp genes in Chinese isolates and cspA in Pakistani isolates was noted, while spb1 and lmb were not detected in isolates of both countries. Pakistani isolates, particularly serotype Iapositive, had a considerably higher ability to produce biofilm, haemolysis, cytotoxicity, adhesion, and invasion than Chinese isolates. Most of the isolates were phenotypically resistant to tetracycline, erythromycin, and clindamycin and genotypic resistance was confirmed by the presence of ermA, ermB, tetM and tetO genes. Our study highlights the antimicrobial resistance profile and virulence-related factors contributing to the epidemiological spread of mastitis-causing S. agalactiae in China and Pakistan. 4Fault Tolerant Suffix Trees显示文摘Classical algorithms and data structures assume that the underlying memory is reliable,and the data remain safe during or after processing.However,the assumption is perilous as several studies have shown that large and inexpensive memories are vulnerable to bit flips.Thus,the correctness of output of a classical algorithm can be threatened by a few memory faults.Fault tolerant data structures and resilient algorithms are developed to tolerate a limited number of faults and provide a correct output based on the uncorrupted part of the data.Suffix tree is one of the important data structures that has widespread applications including substring search,super string problem and data compression.The fault tolerant version of the suffix tree presented in the literature uses complex techniques of encodable and decodable error-correcting codes,blocked data structures and fault-resistant tries.In this work,we use the natural approach of data replication to develop a fault tolerant suffix tree based on the faulty memory random access machine model.The proposed data structure stores copies of the indices to sustain memory faults injected by an adversary.We develop a resilient version of the Ukkonen’s algorithm for constructing the fault tolerant suffix tree and derive an upper bound on the number of corrupt suffixes.Iftikhar Ahmad Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah Ambreen Shahnaz Sadeeq Jan Salma Noor Wajeeha Khalil Fazal Qudus Khan Muhammad Iftikhar Khan 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,1:0
5General Solution for Unsteady Natural Convection Flow with Heat and Mass in the Presence of Wall Slip and Ramped Wall Temperature显示文摘This work is focused on the effect of heat and mass transfer with unsteady natural convection flow of viscous fluid along with ramped wall temperature under the assumption of the slip wall condition at the boundary. Analytical solutions are obtained by using Laplace transformation to the non-dimensional set of governing equations containing velocity, temperature and concentration. Moreover, the expression for skin-friction is derived by differentiating the analytical solutions of fluid velocity. Numerical tables for Skin-friction, Sherwood number and Nusselt-number are examined. For the physical aspects of the flow, we use various values of involved physical parameters such as Prandtl number(Pr), slip parameter(η), Schmidt number(Sc), buoyancy ratio parameter(N), Sherwood number(Sh), and time(t). 8Fractional Processing Based Adaptive Beamforming Algorithm显示文摘Fractional order algorithms have shown promising results in various signal processing applications due to their ability to improve performance without significantly increasing complexity.The goal of this work is to inves-tigate the use of fractional order algorithm in the field of adaptive beam-forming,with a focus on improving performance while keeping complexity lower.The effectiveness of the algorithm will be studied and evaluated in this context.In this paper,a fractional order least mean square(FLMS)algorithm is proposed for adaptive beamforming in wireless applications for effective utilization of resources.This algorithm aims to improve upon existing beam-forming algorithms,which are inefficient in performance,by offering faster convergence,better accuracy,and comparable computational complexity.The FLMS algorithm uses fractional order gradient in addition to the standard ordered gradient in weight adaptation.The derivation of the algorithm is provided and supported by mathematical convergence analysis.Performance is evaluated through simulations using mean square error(MSE)minimization as a metric and compared with the standard LMS algorithm for various parameters.The results,obtained through Matlab simulations,show that the FLMS algorithm outperforms the standard LMS in terms of convergence speed,beampattern accuracy and scatter plots.FLMS outperforms LMS in terms of convergence speed by 34%.From this,it can be concluded that FLMS is a better candidate for adaptive beamforming and other signal processing applications.Syed Asghar Ali Shah Tariqullah Jan Syed Muslim Shah Ruhul Amin Khalil Ahmad Sawalmeh Muhammad Anan 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,7:0
9Appearance Based Dynamic Hand Gesture Recognition Using 3D Separable Convolutional Neural Network显示文摘Appearance-based dynamic Hand Gesture Recognition(HGR)remains a prominent area of research in Human-Computer Interaction(HCI).Numerous environmental and computational constraints limit its real-time deployment.In addition,the performance of a model decreases as the subject’s distance from the camera increases.This study proposes a 3D separable Convolutional Neural Network(CNN),considering the model’s computa-tional complexity and recognition accuracy.The 20BN-Jester dataset was used to train the model for six gesture classes.After achieving the best offline recognition accuracy of 94.39%,the model was deployed in real-time while considering the subject’s attention,the instant of performing a gesture,and the subject’s distance from the camera.Despite being discussed in numerous research articles,the distance factor remains unresolved in real-time deployment,which leads to degraded recognition results.In the proposed approach,the distance calculation substantially improves the classification performance by reducing the impact of the subject’s distance from the camera.Additionally,the capability of feature extraction,degree of relevance,and statistical significance of the proposed model against other state-of-the-art models were validated using t-distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding(t-SNE),Mathew’s Correlation Coefficient(MCC),and the McNemar test,respectively.We observed that the proposed model exhibits state-of-the-art outcomes and a comparatively high significance level.Muhammad Rizwan Sana Ul Haq Noor Gul Muhammad Asif Syed Muslim Shah Tariqullah Jan Naveed Ahmad 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,7:0
