2Optimization of dosage ratio of chlorogenic acid and gardenia glycosides in the treatment of rats with fatty liver disease induced by high-fat feed显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the optimal dosage ratio of chlorogenic acid and gardenia glycosides in treating the rates with fatty liver disease induced by high-fat feed.METHODS: A rat model of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) was established by using a high-fat diet. According to mathematical model 'uniform design', varying doses of chlorogenic acid and gardenia glycosides have been combined to form 6 medications for the treatment of NAFLD.Samples were then taken to observe pathological changes of the liver tissue(HE staining); changes in the fat metabolism pathway e.g. triglyceride(TG)and free fatty acid(FFA) content; alterations in liver function, i.e. serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT)and aspartate aminotransferase(AST) activity; and differences in Malondialdehyde(MDA) and superoxide dismutase(SOD) content in the liver tissue. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to test the optimal dosage ratio of chlorogenic acid and gardenia glycosides.RESULTS: Fatty degeneration and vacuole-like changes of different degrees occurred in hepatic cells of the model group. Markers for fat metabolism, serum ALT and AST activities, and expression of MDA in liver tissue significantly increased, while SOD decreased. Combination of 90 mg chlorogenic acid and 90 mg Gardenia glycosides was the optimal dosage ratio of chlorogenic acid and gardenia glycosides in the treatment of rats with fatty liver induced by high-fat diet.CONCLUSION: Chlorogenic acid of 90 mg plus gardenia glycosides of 90 mg was the best combination in the treatment of fatty liver disease in rats induced by high-fat feed.Liang Huiqing Yang Jiaen Tang Jinmo Wu Chuncheng Li Hongshan Chen Shaodong 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,5:6
3Abnormal Effective Connectivity of the Anterior Forebrain Regions in Disorders of Consciousness显示文摘A number of studies have indicated that disorders of consciousness result from multifocal injuries as well as from the impaired functional and anatomical connectivity between various anterior forebrain regions.However, the specific causal mechanism linking these regions remains unclear. In this study, we used spectral dynamic causal modeling to assess how the effective connections(ECs) between various regions differ between individuals. Next, we used connectome-based predictive modeling to evaluate the performance of the ECs in predicting the clinical scores of DOC patients. We found increased ECs from the striatum to the globus pallidus as well as from the globus pallidus to the posterior cingulate cortex, and decreased ECs from the globus pallidus to the thalamus and from the medial prefrontal cortex to the striatum in DOC patients as compared to healthy controls.Prediction of the patients' outcome was effective using the negative ECs as features. In summary, the present study highlights a key role of the thalamo-basal ganglia-cortical loop in DOCs and supports the anterior forebrain mesocircuit hypothesis. 4Seropositivity rates of water channel protein 4 antibodies compared between a cell-based immunofluorescence assay and an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay in neuromyelitis optica patients显示文摘A total of 66 samples (from 27 cases with neuromyelitis optica, 26 cases with multiple sclerosis, and 13 cases with optic neuritis) were tested for aquaporin-4 antibody by a cell-based immunofluores-cence assay and an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The sensitivities and specificities of the two assays were similar. We further analyzed an additional 68 patients and 93 healthy controls using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. A Kappa test showed good consistency between the two methods in terms of detection of anti-aquaporin-4 antibody in the sera of neuromyelitis optica patients. No significant correlations were identified with onset age or disease duration, suggesting that aquaporin-4 antibody is a good marker for neuromyelitis optica. 63DRGO-NiFe2O4/NiO nanoparticles for fast and simple detection of organophosphorus pesticides显示文摘The residues of organophosphorus pesticide(OPs)on fruits and vegetables pose a threat to human health,so it is very meaningful to explore simple and fast detect methods for OPs residual.In this work,nickel ferrite/nickel oxide nanoparticles co-loaded three-dimensional reduced graphene oxide(3DRGONiFe2O4/NiO NPs),as a new low cost nanocomposite,was prepared.Based on its high performance mimetic peroxidase activity,a colorimetric method for the detection of OPs has been developed.Dichlorvos was chosen as model compounds to evaluate the detection performance.The detection linear range for dichlorvos is from 50μg/mL to 2.5×10^4μg/mL with a detection limit of 10μg/mL.Furthermore,a test paper can be developed based on the 3 DRGO-NiFe2O4/NiO NPs for visual detection of dichlorvos,and the image information of the paper sensor can be converted into digital signal and quantitative detection by a smartphone.Notably,this method can also be used to detect dichlorvos in real samples,including vegetables and fruits.Thus,the developed naked assay holds great potential in simple,inexpensive and rapid detection of OPs in fruit and vegetable samples.Zhenni Wei Huiqing Li Jing Wu Yalei Dong Hongyi Zhang Hongli Chen Cuiling Ren 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,1:1

11Diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis by OCT and surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy显示文摘In this paper,optical coherence tomography(OCT)and surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS)were used to characterize normal knee joint(NKJ)tissue and knee osteoarthritis(KOA)tissue ex vivo.OCT images show that there is a clear hierarchical structure in NKJ tissue,including surface layer,transitional layer,radiation layer and cartilage matrix calcification layer tissue structure,while the hierarchical structure of KOA tissue is not clear and unevenly distributed,and the pathological tissues at different stages also show significant di®erences.SERS shows that NKJ tissue and mild osteoarthritic knee cartilage(MiKOA)tissue have strong characteristic Raman peaks at 964,1073(1086),1271,1305,1442,1660 and 1763 cm^(-1).Compared with the Raman spectrum of NKJ tissue,the Raman characteristic peaks of MiKOA tissue have some shifts,moving from 1073 cm^(-1)to 1086 cm^(-1)and from 1542 cm^(-1)to 1442 cm^(-1).There is a characteristic Raman peak of 1271 cm^(-1)in MiKOA tissue,but not in NKJ tissue.Compared with NKJ tissue,severely degenerated cartilage(SdKOA)tissues show some new SERS peaks at 1008,1245,1285,1311 and 1321 cm^(-1),which are not seen in SERS spectra of NKJ tissue.Principal component analysis(PCA)was used to analyze the Raman spectra of 1245–1345 cm^(-1)region.The results show that PCA can distinguish NKJ,MiKOA and SdKOA tissues and the accuracy is about 90%.These results indicate that OCT can clearly distinguish NKJ,MiKOA,moderate osteoarthritic knee cartilage(MoKOA)and SdKOA tissue,while SERS can provide further judgment basis.The results also prove that the contents of protein and polysaccharide in knee tissue are changed during the pathological process of knee tissue,which is the cause of pain caused by poor friction in knee joint during movement.Ran An Huaimin Gu Zhouyi Guo Huiqing Zhong Huajiang Wei Guoyong Wu Yonghong He Shusen Xie Hongqin Yang 2022Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2022,15,5:0
12Multi-valent mRNA vaccines against monkeypox enveloped or mature viron surface antigens demonstrate robust immune response and neutralizing activity显示文摘Monkeypox was declared a global health emergency by the World Health Organization,and as of March 2023,86,000 confirmed cases and 111 deaths across 110 countries have been reported.Its causal agent,monkeypox virus(MPV)belongs to a large family of double-stranded DNA viruses,Orthopoxviridae,that also includes vaccinia virus(VACV)and others.MPV produces two distinct forms of viral particles during its replication cycles:the enveloped viron(EV)that is released via exocytosis,and the mature viron(MV)that is discharged through lysis of host cells.This study was designed to develop multi-valent m RNA vaccines against monkeypox EV and MV surface proteins,and examine their efficacy and mechanism of action.Four m RNA vaccines were produced with different combinations of surface proteins from EV(A35R and B6R),MV(A29L,E8L,H3L and M1R),or EV and MV,and were administered in Balb/c mice to assess their immunogenicity potentials.A dynamic immune response was observed as soon as seven days after initial immunization,while a strong Ig G response to all immunogens was detected with ELISA after two vaccinations.The higher number of immunogens contributed to a more robust total Ig G response and correlating neutralizing activity against VACV,indicating the additive potential of each immunogen in generating immune response and nullifying VACV infection.Further,the m RNA vaccines elicited an antigen-specific CD4^(+)T cell response that is biased towards Th1.The m RNA vaccines with different combinations of EVand MV surface antigens protected a mouse model from a lethal dose VACV challenge,with the EV and MV antigens-combined vaccine offering the strongest protection.These findings provide insight into the protective mechanism of multi-valent m RNAvaccines against MPV,and also the foundation for further development of effective and safe m RNA vaccines for enhanced protection against monkeypox virus outbreak.Niubing Zhang Xiang Cheng Yilong Zhu Ouyang Mo Huiqing Yu Liqi Zhu Juan Zhang Linlin Kuang Ying Gao Ruiyuan Cao Xiaozhen Liang Haikun Wang Honglin Li Song Li Wu Zhong Xuan Li Xiao Li Pei Hao 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,10:0
13A comprehensive construction of the domain ontology for stratigraphy显示文摘Stratigraphic knowledge,the cornerstone of geoscience,needs to be represented by the Knowledge Graph based upon ontology,in order to apply the state-of-the-art big-data techniques.This study aims to comprehensively construct the ontologies for the stratigraphic domain.This has been achieved by a federated,crowd intelligence-based collaboration among domain experts of major stratigraphic subdisciplines.The initial step is to enumerate key terms from authoritative references and incorporate them into the Geoscience Professional Knowledge Graphs(GPKGs)of Deep-time Digital Earth Project.During this process,semantic heterogeneities were meticulously addressed by professional judgement aided by an automatic detection of Homonyms at the GPKGs platform.Afterwards,these terms were further differentiated as either classes or properties and arranged in a hierarchical framework in a top-down process.Consequently,seven ontologies are constructed for major stratigraphic branches,i.e.,Lithostratigraphy,Biostratigraphy,Chronostratigraphy,Chemostratigraphy,Magnetostratigraphy,Cyclostratigraphy and Sequence Stratigraphy.The ontology of Biostratigraphy,among them,is elaborated here,as no biostratigraphic ontology has been attempted before to our knowledge.The constructed biostratigraphic ontology comprises following major root classes:Fossil,Biostratigraphic unit,Biostratigraphic horizon.Altogether,they contribute to the eventual dating and correlating of strata in another root class:Biostratigraphic correlation.In summary,the achievements of this study are probably heretofore the most comprehensive ontologies for the stratigraphic domain.Moreover,a proto model of semantic search engine was conceived to discuss potential application of our work for better querying stratigraphic references,utilizing the semantic liaison of the classes in the constructed ontologies.Huiqing Xu Yingying Zhao Hao Huang Shaochun Dong Yukun Shi Chunju Huang Huaichun Wu Zhiqi Qian Qiang Fang Huaguo Wen Zhongtang Su Shuang Dai Ronghua Wang Chao Li Chao Sun Junxuan Fan 2023Geoscience Frontiers2023,14,5:0
14A Cross-Plane Color Image Encryption Algorithm Based on 1D-SLM显示文摘With the rapid development of 5G technology,it has become fast and easy for people to transmit information on the Internet.Digital images can express information more intuitively,so transmitting information through images has excellent applications.This paper uses a new chaotic system called 1D-Sin-Logistic-Map(1D-SLM).1D-SLM has two control parameters,which can provide larger parameter space,and the parameter space in the chaotic state is continuous.Through Lyapunov exponent analysis(LE),bifurcation diagrams analysis,spectral entropy analysis(SE),and 0-1 test,it is verified that 1D-SLM has complex dynamic behavior and is very suitable for cryptography.Compared with other 1D chaotic systems,the 1D-SLM has a larger Lyapunov exponent(LE)and spectral entropy(SE).For color image encryption algorithms,only relying on chaotic mapping is not enough to ensure security.So combined with 1D-SLM,we design a color image encryption algorithm,which is implemented by plane expansion,which reduces the correlation between the three channels of color images.The experimental results show that the proposed cross-plane color image encryption algorithm is safe and resistant to common attack methods.Xiaohong Wang Huiqing Wu Yuying Ma Shuzhen Huang 2023Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,46,7:0
