1MHD and kinetic analysis of flow bursts in the Earth's plasma sheet显示文摘In an attempt to study the flow bursts in the Earth’s plasma sheet we select an event that took place on August 7,2004 in the expansion phase of a substorm,using data from the geomagnetic index,solar wind data,plasma and magnetic field observations from C1 Cluster satellite(the Cluster mission has 4 satellites)and from Double Star TC-1 satellite.In MHD approach,TC-1 firstly observed the tailward flow,then the earthward,and finally the flow alternated in two directions.C1 firstly observed the earthward plasma flow,and then the tailward plasma flow.Before flow bursts are observed by TC-1 and C1,there are disturbances in local entropy with their tailward local entropy larger than those of the earthward.The kinetic features of the plasma flow observed by C1 are similar to those in MHD.However,kinetic characteristics of the plasma flow observed by TC-1 are far more than the description in MHD.The inadequacy mainly exists in two cases:(i)the firstly enhanced tailward flows given in MHD are found without significant increase of the energetic tailward flux;(ii)the almost stagnant flow in MHD is composed of the enhanced energetic ion flux in both earthward and tailward directions.The earthward flow burst observed by TC-1 might be multiple overshoots and rebounds.The earthward flow burst observed by C1 might be simply rebounded in the near-Earth.The pulsation observed by C1 is earlier than that observed by TC-1 with the former intensity less than that of the latter.After the energetic ion flux in the tailward direction is significantly enhanced,the power spectrum intensity of the ULF wave commences to increase obviously,which may suggest that the stream instability is closely correlated with ULF pulsations.MA YuDuan CAO JinBin FU HuiShan REME H. 2Magnetotail dipolarization fronts and particle acceleration:A review显示文摘In this paper, the particle acceleration processes around magnetotail dipolarization fronts(DFs) were reviewed. We summarize the spacecraft observations(including Cluster, THEMIS, MMS) and numerical simulations(including MHD, testparticle, hybrid, LSK, PIC) of these processes. Specifically, we(1) introduce the properties of DFs at MHD scale, ion scale, and electron scale,(2) review the properties of suprathermal electrons with particular focus on the pitch-angle distributions,(3)define the particle-acceleration process and distinguish it from the particle-heating process,(4) identify the particle-acceleration process from spacecraft measurements of energy fluxes, and(5) quantify the acceleration efficiency and compare it with other processes in the magnetosphere(e.g., magnetic reconnection and radiation-belt acceleration processes). We focus on both the acceleration of electrons and ions(including light ions and heavy ions). Regarding electron acceleration, we introduce Fermi,betatron, and non-adiabatic acceleration mechanisms;regarding ion acceleration, we present Fermi, betatron, reflection, resonance, and non-adiabatic acceleration mechanisms. 3Reconstructing the flux-rope topology using the FOTE method显示文摘With high-resolution data of the Magnetospheric Multiscale(MMS) mission, we observe a magnetic flux rope(MFR) in the Earth's magnetosheath. This MFR, showing a clear bipolar variation of the magnetic field in the normal component to local current sheet, contains a strong core field. We use the FOTE method to reconstruct the topology of this MFR and find it is consistent with previous expectation. For the first time, the spiral field and core field of the MFR are both revealed from the FOTE method. Comparing topologies reconstructed at different times, we suggest that the axis of the MFR rotates about 88° at different spatial location. Shape and size of the normal projection to axis vary with the spatial location as well. 5Observation of directional change of core field inside flux ropes within one reconnection diffusion region in the Earth's magnetotail显示文摘Two consecutive magnetic flux ropes, separated by less than 30 s(Dt \ 30 s), are observed within one magnetic reconnection diffusion region without strong guide field in the Earth's magnetotail by Cluster multispacecraft. The flux ropes are characterized by bipolar signatures of the south–north magnetic field component Bz accompanied with strong core magnetic field By, intense current J and density depletions inside of them. In spite of the small but non-trivial global scale negative guide field(–By), there exists a directional change of the core fields of two flux ropes, i.e.,-Byfor the first one, and Byfor the second one. The directions of the core fields are the same as the ambient cross-tail magnetic field component(By) just outside of flux ropes. Therefore, we suggest that the core field of flux ropes is formed by compression of the local preexisting Byand that the directional change of core field is due to the change of local preexisting By. 8Statistical properties of kinetic-scale magnetic holes in terrestrial space显示文摘Kinetic-scale magnetic holes(KSMHs)are structures characterized by a significant magnetic depression with a length scale on the order of the proton gyroradius.These structures have been investigated in recent studies in near-Earth space,and found to be closely related to energy conversion and particle acceleration,wave-particle interactions,magnetic reconnection,and turbulence at the kineticscale.However,there are still several major issues of the KSMHs that need further study—including(a)the source of these structures(locally generated in near-Earth space,or carried by the solar wind),(b)the environmental conditions leading to their generation,and(c)their spatio-temporal characteristics.In this study,KSMHs in near-Earth space are investigated statistically using data from the Magnetospheric Multiscale mission.Approximately 200,000 events were observed from September 2015 to March 2020.Occurrence rates of such structures in the solar wind,magnetosheath,and magnetotail were obtained.We find that KSMHs occur in the magnetosheath at rates far above their occurrence in the solar wind.This indicates that most of the structures are generated locally in the magnetosheath,rather than advected with the solar wind.Moreover,KSMHs occur in the downstream region of the quasi-parallel shock at rates significantly higher than in the downstream region of the quasi-perpendicular shock,indicating a relationship with the turbulent plasma environment.Close to the magnetopause,we find that the depths of KSMHs decrease as their temporal-scale increases.We also find that the spatial-scales of the KSMHs near the subsolar magnetosheath are smaller than those in the flanks.Furthermore,their global distribution shows a significant dawn-dusk asymmetry(duskside dominating)in the magnetotail.ShuTao Yao ZongShun Yue QuanQi Shi Alexander William Degeling HuiShan Fu AnMin Tian Hui Zhang Andrew Vu RuiLong Guo ZhongHua Yao Ji Liu Qiu-Gang Zong XuZhi Zhou JingHuan Li WenYa Li HongQiao Hu YangYang Liu WeiJie Sun 2021Earth and Planetary Physics2021,5,1:1
9Quantitative and qualitative measurement of pear firmness based on near infrared spectroscopy and chemometrics显示文摘Firmness is one of the most important characteristics to estimate fruit maturity and quality.The potential of near-infrared(NIR)diffuse reflectance spectroscopy as a nondestructive way for pear firmness evaluation of three varieties(‘Cuiguan’,‘Xueqing’and‘Xizilv’)was studied,both quantitatively and qualitatively.NIR models were established using partial least square(PLS)methods in the spectral range of 800 to 2500 nm.For quantitative analysis,the correlation coefficient r increased with more varieties involved in the model.Best results were obtained in the model for all three varieties:rcalwas 0.934,root mean square error of calibration(RMSEC)and root mean square error of prediction(RMSEP)were 2.06 N and 3.14 N,respectively.For qualitative analysis,the overall accuracies of discriminant PLS models for classifying pears into three firmness levels:low,medium and high firmness level were not so good,percentage of samples correctly classified ranged from 70.63%to 81.25%for calibration and from 56.25%to 74.38%for validation.The results indicate that NIR spectroscopy together with PLS chemometrics method is feasible for quantitative analysis of pear firmness,however,the classification accuracy is too low to put into practical application.Fu Xiaping Ying Yibin Zhou Ying Lu Huishan Xu Huirong 2008International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2008,1,1:0
10Switch of phosphorylation to O-GlcNAcylation of AhR contributes to vascular oxidative stress induced by benzo[a]pyrene显示文摘Benzo[a]pyrene(B[a]P)is a food contaminant toxic for cardiovascular diseases.The nuclear translocation of Arylhydrocarbon receptor(AhR)plays an important role in B[a]P-induced oxidative stress and vascular diseases.We confi rmed that B[a]P promoted ROS production in vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs)in vitro and in vivo,associated with the nuclear translocation of AhR.It is known that phosphorylation inhibits while dephosphorylation of AhR promotes nuclear translocation of AhR.However,from the posttranslational modifi cation level,the mechanism by which B[a]P activates and regulates the nuclear translocation of AhR is unclear.Co-immunoprecipitation results showed that cytoplasmic AhR was phosphorylated before B[a]P stimulation,and switched to O-GlcNAcylation upon B[a]P 1-h stimulation in VSMCs,suggesting there may be a competitively inhibitory relationship between O-GlcNAcylation and phosphorylation of AhR.Next,siRNAs of O-linked N-acetylglucosamine transferase(OGT),O-GlcNAcase(OGA)and OGA inhibitor PUGNAc were used.SiOGT blocks but siOGA and PUGNAc promote B[a]P-dependent AhR nuclear translocation and oxidative stress.Ser11 may be the competitive binding site for phosphorylation and O-GlcNAcylation of AhR.Phosphorylation-mimic variant inhibits but O-GlcNAcylation of AhR promotes AhR nuclear translocation and oxidative stress.Our fi ndings highlight a new perspective for AhR nuclear translocation regulated by the competitive modifi cation between phosphorylation and O-GlcNAcylation.Rong Wang Yun Huang Xiaoruo Gan Chenghao Fu Yuemin Li Ning Chen Hao Xi Huishan Guo Wei Zhang Yuhong Lü Yan Zhang Pin Lü 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,6:0
