| 1 | Dietary supplementation with Clostridium butyricum improves growth performance of broilers by regulating intestinal microbiota and mucosal epithelial cells显示文摘Clostridium butyricum has been widely considered an antibiotic substitute in recent years.It can promote growth performance,improve the immune response and enhance the intestinal barrier function of the host.In the present study,1-d-old Arbor Acres(AA)broilers were fed C.butyricum(1×109 cfu/kg)for 28 d.The transcriptomic characteristics of epithelial cells of the cecal mucosa were determined by RNA-sequence,and the cecal microbiota composition was explored by 16 S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing.The changes in the intestinal mucosa of broilers were then analyzed by tissue staining.Gene Ontology(GO)annotations identified substance transport and processes and pathways that might participate in intestinal development and cell viability.Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathway analysis revealed that the differentially expressed genes are involved in numerous pathways related to amino acid and vitamin metabolism and antioxidant and defensive functions,among others.The relative expression of some genes associated with intestinal barrier function(claudins 2,15,19,and 23,tight junction proteins 1,2,and 3 and mucin 1)was significantly increased in the treatment group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Moreover,the proportion of Firmicutes was higher in the C.butyricum-treated group,whereas the proportion of Proteobacteria was higher in the control group.At the genus level,the relative abundances of Butyricicoccus and Lactobacillus,among other bacteria,were increased after C.butyricum supplementation.The tissue staining analysis showed that the cecal mucosa of broilers was significantly ameliorated after the addition of C.butyricum(P<0.05 or P<0.01).These results showed that dietary supplementation with C.butyricum can enhance the antioxidant capacity,mucosal barrier function,and stabilize the cecal microbiota,resulting in improving the growth performance. | Laipeng Xu Xiangli Sun Xianhua Wan Keke Li Fuchun Jian Wenting Li Ruirui Jiang Ruili Han Hong Li Xiangtao Kang Yanbin Wang | 2021 | Animal Nutrition2021,,4: | 12 |
| 2 | Study on relative orbital configuration in satellite formation flying显示文摘In this paper, the relative orbital configurations of satellites in formation flying with non-perturbation and J2 perturbation are studied, and an orbital elements method is proposed to obtain the relative orbital configurations of satellites in formation. Firstly, under the condition of nonperturbation, we obtain many shapes of relative orbital configurations when the semi-major axes of satellites are equal.These shapes can be lines, ellipses or distorted closed curves.Secondly, on the basis of the analysis of J2 effect on relative orbital configurations, we find out that J2 effect can induce two kinds of changes of relative orbital configurations. They are distortion and drifting, respectively. In addition, when J2perturbation is concerned, we also find that the semi-major axes of the leading and following satellites should not be the same exactly in order to decrease the J2 effect. The relationship of relative orbital elements and J2 effect is obtained through simulations. Finally, the minimum relation perturbation conditions are established in order to reduce the influence of the J2 effect. | 3 | Optimization of Stocking Density for the Sea Cucumber, Apostichopus japonicus Selenka, Under Feed-Supplement and Non-Feed-Supplement Regimes in Pond Culture显示文摘Optimal stocking densities were investigated for the sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus Selenka under feed-supplement and non-feed-supplement regimes in net enclosures for 333 d. Substantial weight loss occurred during the aestivation phase (AE). Decreased growth rates were also observed during the winter phase (WT). In contrast, sea cucumbers showed rapid growth during the spring (SP) and autumn (AU) phases. Feeding regimes considerably influenced the growth performance, i.e., sea cucumbers grew faster under feed-supplement regime than under non-feed-supplement regime (P < 0.05). The average survival rates of sea cucumbers under feed-supplement regime were higher than those under non-feed-supplement regime for both the autumn phase and spring phase, but the differences were only significant for the latter phase (P < 0.05). | 4 | Zacopride selectively activates the Kir2.1 channel via a PKA signaling pathway in rat cardiomyocytes显示文摘We recently reported that zacopride is a selective inward rectifier potassium current (IK1 ) channel agonist, suppressing ventricular arrhythmias without affecting atrial arrhythmias. The present study aimed to investigate the unique pharmacological properties of zacopride. The whole-cell patch-clamp technique was used to study IK1 currents in rat atrial myocytes and Kir2.x currents in human embryonic kidney (HEK)-293 cells transfected with inward rectifier potassium channel (Kir)2.1, Kir2.2, Kir2.3, or mutated Kir2.1 (at phosphorylation site S425L). Western immunoblots were performed to estimate the relative protein expression levels of Kir2.x in rat atria and ventricles. Results showed that zacopride did not affect the IK1 and transmembrane potential of atrial myocytes. In HEK293 cells, zacopride increased Kir2.1 homomeric channels by 40.7%±9.7% at 50 mV, but did not affect Kir2.2 and Kir2.3 homomeric channels, and Kir2.1-Kir2.2, Kir2.1-Kir2.3 and Kir2.2-Kir2.3 heteromeric channels. Western immunoblots showed that similar levels of Kir2.3 protein were expressed in rat atria and ventricles, but atrial Kir2.1 protein level was only 25% of that measured in the ventricle. In addition, 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) 3 receptor was undetectable, whereas 5-HT 4 receptor was weakly expressed in HEK293 cells. The Kir2.1-activating effect of zacopride in these cells was abolished by inhibition of protein kinase A (PKA), but not PKC or PKG. | 6 | Individual Variation in Growth in Sea Cucumber Apostichopus japonicus(Selenck) Housed Individually显示文摘The exceptionally large individual growth variation has been previously recognized in several sea cucumber cohorts.However,there is a lack of information regarding the mechanism of such individual differences.In this study,the sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus(Selenka) was reared individually in order to eliminate possible effects of social interaction,stocking density,etc.The results showed that there were substantial differences in growth among the sea cucumber individuals during the 100-day experiment.The special growth rate of the sea cucumber individuals differed by up to three folds(from 0.40% to 1.01%),and the coefficient of variation in body weight increased from 12.04% to 40.51%.The final wet body weight,food intake and food conversion efficiency for each sea cucumber were generally positively correlated with their initial wet body weight(P<0.05).Energy budget of the animals showed that the food energy spent on respiration was much greater(about four folds) but energy deposited for growth was much less for(initially) smaller than for larger A.japonicus.The present result implies that there are obvious genetic differences among the sea cucumber individuals,largely accounting for the individual growth variation of the cohort sea cucumber.These results will provide some basic data for promoting selective breeding and farming of the sea cucumber. | LIANG Miao DONG Shuanglin GAO Qinfeng WANG Fang TIAN Xiangli | 2010 | Journal of Ocean University of China2010,9,3: | 5 |
| 7 | Growth, Metabolism and Physiological Response of the Sea Cucumber, Apostichopus japonicus Selenka During Periods of Inactivity显示文摘The growth, metabolism and physiological response of the sea cucumber, Apostichopus japonicus, were investigated during periods of inactivity. The body weight, oxygen consumption rate (OCR), activities of acidic phosphatase (ACP), alkaline phosphatase (AKP), catalase (CAT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD), and content of heat shock protein 70 (Hsp70) in the body wall and coelomic fluid of A. japonicus were measured during starvation, experimental aestivation and aestivation. The results showed that the body weight of sea cucumber in the three treatments decreased significantly during the experimental period (P < 0.05). The OCR of sea cucumber reduced in starvation and experimental aestivation treatments, but increased gradually in natural aestivation treatment. The activities of ACP and AKP of sea cucumber decreased gradually in all treatments, whereas those of SOD and CAT as well as Hsp70 content decreased in the starvation and experimental aestivation treatments and increased in natural aestivation treatment. The sea cucumber entered a state of aestivation at 24℃. To some extent, the animals in experimental aestivation were different from those in natural aestivation in metabolism and physiological response. | 9 | Effects of Starving and Re-feeding Strategies on the Growth Performance and Physiological Characteristics of the Juvenile Tongue Sole(Cynoglossus semilaevis)显示文摘Starving and re-feeding trials were conducted to evaluate the effects of starvation duration and recovery times on the growth performance and physiological characteristics of juvenile tongue sole Cynoglossus semilaevis, which included growth, body composition, intestinal morphology and digestive enzymes activities. The fish starved for one(D1), two(D2) and four(D4) days, respectively, were recovered for three(R3, R6, R12), seven(R7, R14, R28) and eleven(R11, R22, R44) folds of starvation days while the control fish were fed constantly. The experiment was conducted for 96 days. The fish individuals in D1R11, D2R14 and D2R22 caught up in weight with the control, indicating that complete compensatory growth existed in these fish individuals. The highest body weight gain and total specific growth rates were observed in D2R22. Food intake increased significantly in most treatments in comparison with that of the control except for D1R7 and D2R22(P < 0.05). Food conversion efficiency and apparent digest coefficient in D2R22 were significantly promoted, being higher than that of the control(P < 0.05). The activities of trypsin and lipase were found to be closely related to the growth performance. The activities of liver and hindgut trypsin, also midgut and hindgut lipase in D2R22 were significantly higher than those of the control(P < 0.05). The fold height(HF) of foregut and midgut increased significantly in D2R22, and HF decreased significantly in D1R3, D2R6 and D4R12(P < 0.05). On our findings, we may conclude that the optimum starving and re-feeding strategy is starving for 2 days and re-feeding for 22 days. | 10 | Spatial Distribution of Seismic Landslides in the Areas of 1927 Gulang M8.0 Earthquake显示文摘The 1927 Gulang M8.0 earthquake has triggered a huge number of landslides,resulting in massive loss of people’s life and property.However,integrated investigations and results regarding the landslides triggered by this earthquake are rare;such situation hinders the deep understanding of these landslides such as scale,extent,and distribution.With the support of Google Earth software,this study intends to finish the seismic landslides interpretation work in the areas of Gulang earthquake(VIII-XI degree)using the artificial visual interpretation method,and further analyze the spatial distribution and impact factors of these landslides.The results show that the earthquake has triggered at least 936 landslides in the VIII-XI degree zone,with a total landslide area of 58.6 km^2.The dense area of seismic landslides is located in the middle and southern parts of the X intensity circle.Statistical analysis shows that seismic landslides is mainly controlled by factors such as elevation,slope gradient,slope direction,strata,seismic intensity,faults and rivers.The elevation of 2000-2800 m is the high-incidence interval of the landslide.The landslide density is larger with a higher slope gradient.East and west directions are the dominant sliding directions.The areas with Cretaceous and Quaternary strata are the main areas of the Gulang seismic landslides.The X intensity zone triggered the most landslides.In addition,landslides often occur in regions near rivers and faults.This paper provides a scientific reference for exploring the development regularities of landslides triggered by the 1927 Gulang earthquake and effectively mitigating the landslide disasters of the earthquake. | XU Jixiang XU Chong HE Xiangli WEN Boyu GE Keshui BAI Yuzhu | 2020 | Earthquake Research in China2020,34,1: | 4 |
| 11 | Formation of the Yalong Downstream Terraces in the SE Tibetan Plateau and Its Implication for the Uplift of the Plateau显示文摘The Yalong River is an important river that runs across the abruptly changing terrain of the SE Tibetan Plateau. The terraces and Quaternary sediments in its valleys preserve the information of tectonic uplift,climate changes,and landform evolution since the Middle Pleistocene. Based on geomorphological,sedimentological,and chronological investigations,6–8 terraces are identified in the lower reaches of Yalong catchment and its tributary—the Anning River. The electron spin resonance(ESR) or optically stimulated luminescence(OSL) data on the alluvial sediments in the upper portion of terraces indicate that they formed in 1.10,0.90,0.72,0.06–0.04,0.03–0.02,and 0.01 Ma. Tectonic uplift and the climatic cycle controlled the formation of the Yalong River terraces. The former dominated the dissection depths and incision rates,whereas the latter controlled the transformation between accumulation,which developed during the glacial period,and incision,which developed during the glacial-interglacial transition. The Yalong downstream incised rapidly from 1.10 to 0.72 Ma and rapidly from 0.06 Ma until the present; the terraces developed during these two periods. The incision rates in space during the two periods indicate the uplifting extent of the Jinpingshan area,which decreases toward the east and the south. The results reveal two rapidly uplifting stages in the SE Tibetan Plateau,including an accelerated uplifting since 0.06 Ma. Since the Middle Pleistocene,the tectonic uplift of the SE and NE parts of the Tibetan Plateau is synchronous,according to the same development stages of the river terraces of the Yalong downstream and the Yellow River in the Lanzhou area of the NE Tibetan Plateau. The difference in the horizontal displacement between the Xianshuihe Fault and the Anninghe Fault bend resulted in the rapid uplift of the Jinpingshan area. The incision rate for the spatial distribution of the Yalong downstream is the geomorphological response of crustal shortening and uplift differences in the SE margin block of the Tibetan Plateau. | 12 | Impacts of different methylprednisolone administration routes in patients with sudden hearing loss or Meniere’s disease显示文摘Background:Evidence suggests that glucocorticoids are important in the treatment of sudden hearing loss(SHL)and Meniere’s disease(MD).However,different glucocorticoid administration methods may have a significant impact on treatment outcomes.Objective:This study aimed to investigate effects of different glucocorticoid administration methods on sudden hearing loss and Meniere’s disease.Methods:In this study,glucocorticoids were administered orally in 18 patients,by retroauricular injection in 15 patients and by intratympanic injection in 15 patients.White blood cell(WBC)count,serum Kt,fasting plasma glucose(FPG),body temperature,heart rate and blood pressure were used to evaluate effects of glucocorticoids on patients with hearing loss.Visual analog scale(VAS)of pain and sleep disorders were also surveyed,and pure tone audiometry(PTA)results were compared among groups to evaluate efficacy of different glucocorticoids administration methods.Result:WBC count,heart rate and blood pressure were higher in patients taking oral glucocorticoids,while body temperature,serum Kt and FPG levels did not change in all three groups.However,patients who received intratympanic injection of glucocorticoids experienced more pain,while those taking oral glucocorticoids reported more sleep impairment.Treatment efficacy on hearing loss was not significantly different among the three groups.Conclusion:These findings suggest that systemic glucocorticoid administration can result in greater whole body responses than local administration,but with similar hearing treatment efficacy. | Dan Chen Zhipeng Li Qilin Zhou Yubin Chen Luoying Yang Jingqian Tan Xiangli Zeng Peng Li | 2020 | Journal of Otology2020,15,4: | 4 |

aseismic creep and the Yingxiu-Beichuan fault (YBF)
slipping by large earthquakes in the Longmen Shan fault

| 16 | Effect of Bacillus baekryungensis YD13 Supplemented in Diets on Growth Performance and Immune Response of Sea Cucumber(Apostichopus japonicus)显示文摘The effect of a potential probiotic on the growth performance and immune response of sea cucumber(Apostichopus japonicus) was investigated. Bacillus baekryungensis YD13 isolated from sea cucumber culturing ponds was added to sea cucumber basal feed as a probiotic in different doses(0, the control; 1×104(YD134), 1×106(YD136) and 1×108(YD138) CFU g-1 of diet), and administered orally to A. japonicus(initial mean wet weight 5.44 g ± 0.17 g). The sea cucumbers were fed in 20 aquaria, 5 each treatment, for 60 d. At the end of growth trial, 20 sea cucumbers from each treatment were challenged with Vibrio splendidus. A. japonicus in YD134 and YD136 exhibited significantly better growth performance than control(P < 0.05). Five non-specific immune parameters including lysozyme, acid phosphatase, alkaline phosphatase, superoxide dismutase and catalase in coelomic fluid were measured to evaluate the immune response of A. japonicus to the probiotics. Results showed that all parameters were significantly improved when YD11 was supplemented in the dose of 1×106 CFU g-1(P < 0.05). The cumulative incidence and mortality after the Vibrio splendidus challenge decreased significantly in sea cucumbers of YD136. | 18 | Flow field design and process stability in electrochemical machining of diamond holes显示文摘The metal grille, commonly composed of an amount of diamond holes, has been growingly used as a key structure on stealth aircraft. Electrochemical machining(ECM) promises to be increasingly applied in aircraft manufacturing on the condition that process stability is guaranteed.In this work, a flow field model was designed to improve the process stability. This model is endowed with a variety of flow channel features, together with vibrating feeding modes. The flow field distribution on the bottom surface of the diamond hole was discussed and evaluated as well.The numerical results show that a short arc flow channel could significantly enhance the uniformity of electrolyte velocity distribution and a vibrating feeding of the cathode enables to reduce both fluctuations of the electrolyte velocity and pressure on the bottom surface of the diamond hole.Consequently, the flow field mutations were eliminated. It is verified from the experimental results that a short arc flow channel, when combined with vibrating feeding, is capable of improving machining localization and process stability markedly. | 20 | Examining the Relationship Between Spatial Configurations of Urban Impervious Surfaces and Land Surface Temperature显示文摘The urban heat island(UHI) effect has significant effects on the quality of life and public health. Numerous studies have addressed the relationship between UHI and the increase in urban impervious surface area(ISA), but few of them have considered the impact of the spatial configuration of ISA on UHI. Land surface temperature(LST) may be affected not only by urban land cover, but also by neighboring land cover. The aim of this research was to investigate the effects of the abundance and spatial association of ISAs on LST. Taking Harbin City, China as an example, the impact of ISA spatial association on LST measurements was examined. The abundance of ISAs and the LST measurements were derived from Landsat Thematic Mapper(TM) imagery of 2000 and 2010, and the spatial association patterns of ISAs were calculated using the local Moran’s I index. The impacts of ISA abundance and spatial association on LST were examined using correlation analysis. The results suggested that LST has significant positive associations with both ISA abundance and the Moran’s I index of ISAs, indicating that both the abundance and spatial clustering of ISAs contribute to elevated values of LST. It was also found that LST is positively associated with clustering of high-ISA-percentage areas(i.e.,>50%) and negatively associated with clustering of low-ISA-percentage areas(i.e.,<25%).
