2CFD simulation of particle suspension in a stirred tank显示文摘Particle suspension characteristics are predicted computationally in a stirred tank driven by a Smith turbine.In order to verify the hydrodynamic model and numerical method,the predicted power number and flow pattern are compared with designed values and simulated results from the literature,respectively.The effects of particle density,particle diameter,liquid viscosity and initial solid loading on particle suspension behavior are investigated by using the Eulerian-Eulerian two-fluid model and the standard k-s turbulence model.The results indicate that solid concentration distribution depends on the flow field in the stirred tank.Higher particle density or larger particle size results in less homogenous distribution of solid particles in the tank.Increasing initial solid loading has an adverse impact on the homogeneous suspension of solid particles in a low-viscosity liquid,whilst more uniform particle distribution is found in a high-viscosity liquid.Nana Qi Hu Zhang Kai Zhang Gang Xu Yongping Yang 2013Particuology2013,11,3:19
3Evaluation of solar aided biomass power generation systems with parabolic trough field显示文摘Solar and biomass are both renewable energy resources.Using biomass as fuel is becoming more and more attractive after governments increase the tariff for the electricity from the renewable sources.However the costs of power from a biomass power generation plant depend greatly on the availability and quality of the biomass resource.The commercialization of solar alone thermal power generation is hindered by its high initial investment and low thermal efficiency.In this paper,a concept of integrating solar into a biomass power generation system is put forward.In the system the oil heated by a parabolic trough solar field is used to replace the extraction steam to preheat the feed water(entering a biomass boiler) and the previous extraction steam thus saved can continue to do work in the lower stages of turbine.The performance of the hybrid system with different replacements is analyzed and compared through two typical solar aided biomass generating units.The results show that the integration not only reduces the consumption of biomass fuel(at the same generation capacity) but is also proved to be an efficient way to convert solar thermal energy into power.The results also show that with the same solar aperture area,the higher the grade of the replaced extraction steam,the better the thermal performance and economy.HOU HongJuan YANG YongPing HU Eric SONG JiFeng DONG ChangQing MAO Jian 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,6:15
4Modeling permafrost properties in the Qinghai-Xizang(Tibet) Plateau显示文摘Water and heat dynamics in the active layer at a monitoring site in the Tanggula Mountains, located in the permafrost region of the Qinghai-Xizang(Tibet) Plateau(QXP), were studied using the physical-process-based COUPMODEL model, including the interaction between soil temperature and moisture under freeze-thaw cycles. Meteorological, ground temperature and moisture data from different depths within the active layer were used to calibrate and validate the model. The results indicate that the calibrated model satisfactorily simulates the soil temperatures from the top to the bottom of the soil layers as well as the moisture content of the active layer in permafrost regions. The simulated soil heat flux at depths of 0 to 20 cm was consistent with the monitoring data, and the simulations of the radiation balance components were reasonable. Energy consumed for phase change was estimated from the simulated ice content during the freeze/thaw processes from 2007 to 2008. Using this model, the active layer thickness and the energy consumed for phase change were predicted for future climate warming scenarios. The model predicts an increase of the active layer thickness from the current 330 cm to approximately 350–390 cm as a result of a 1–2°C warming. However, the effect active layer thickness of more precipitation is limited when the precipitation is increased by 20%–50%. 6Modeling Hydrothermal Transfer Processes in Permafrost Regions of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in China显示文摘Hydrothermal processes are key components in permafrost dynamics; these processes are integral to global warming. In this study the coupled heat and mass transfer model for(Coup Model) the soil-plant-atmosphere-system is applied in high-altitude permafrost regions and to model hydrothermal transfer processes in freeze-thaw cycles. Measured meteorological forcing and soil and vegetation properties are used in the Coup Model for the period from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2012 at the Tanggula observation site in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. A 24-h time step is used in the model simulation. The results show that the simulated soil temperature and water content, as well as the frozen depth compare well with the measured data. The coefficient of determination(R2) is 0.97 for the mean soil temperature and 0.73 for the mean soil water content, respectively. The simulated soil heat flux at a depth of 0–20 cm is also consistent with the monitored data. An analysis is performed on the simulated hydrothermal transfer processes from the deep soil layer to the upper one during the freezing and thawing period. At the beginning of the freezing period, the water in the deep soil layer moves upward to the freezing front and releases heat during the freezing process. When the soil layer is completely frozen, there are no vertical water exchanges between the soil layers, and the heat exchange process is controlled by the vertical soil temperature gradient. During the thawing period, the downward heat process becomes more active due to increased incoming shortwave radiation at the ground surface. The melt water is quickly dissolved in the soil, and the soil water movement only changes in the shallow soil layer. Subsequently, the model was used to provide an evaluation of the potential response of the active layer to different scenarios of initial water content and climate warming at the Tanggula site. 7Pyrolysis mechanism of glucose and mannose: The formation of 5-hydroxymethyl furfural and furfural显示文摘Fast pyrolysis of biomass will produce various furan derivatives, among which 5-hydroxymethyl furfural(5-HMF) and furfural(FF) are usually the two most important compounds derived from holocellulose. In this study, density functional theory(DFT) calculations are utilized to reveal the formation mechanisms and pathways of 5-HMF and FF from two hexose units of holocellulose, i.e., glucose and mannose. In addition, fast pyrolysis experiments of glucose and mannose are conducted to substantiate the computational results, and the orientation of 5-HMF and FF is determined by ^(13)C-labeled glucoses. Experimental results indicate that C1 provides the aldehyde group in both 5-HMF and FF, and FF is mainly derived from C1 to C5 segment. According to the computational results, glucose and mannose have similar reaction pathways to form 5-HMF and FF with d-fructose(DF) and 3-deoxy-glucosone(3-DG) as the key intermediates. 5-HMF and FF are formed via competing pathways. The formation of 5-HMF is more competitive than that of FF, leading to higher yield of 5-HMF than FF from both hexoses. In addition, compared with glucose,mannose can form 5-HMF and FF via extra pathways because of the epimerization at C2 position. 8An analytical model for estimating soil temperature profiles on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau of China显示文摘Soil temperature is a key variable in the control of underground hydro-thermal processes. To estimate soil temperature more accurately, this study proposed a solution method of the heat conduction equation of soil temperature(improved heat conduction model) by applying boundary conditions that incorporate the annual and diurnal variations of soil surface temperature and the temporal variation of daily temperature amplitude, as well as the temperature difference between two soil layers in the Tanggula observation site of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau of China. We employed both the improved heat conduction model and the classical heat conduction model to fit soil temperature by using the 5 cm soil layer as the upper boundary for soil depth. The results indicated that the daily soil temperature amplitude can be better described by the sinusoidal function in the improved model, which then yielded more accurate soil temperature simulating effect at the depth of 5 cm. The simulated soil temperature values generated by the improved model and classical heat conduction model were then compared to the observed soil temperature values at different soil depths. Statistical analyses of the root mean square error(RMSE), the normalized standard error(NSEE) and the bias demonstrated that the improved model showed higher accuracy, and the average values of RMSE, bias and NSEE at the soil depth of 10–105 cm were 1.41°C, 1.15°C and 22.40%, respectively. 9Sintilimab for relapsed/refractory extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma: a multicenter, single-arm, phase 2 trial (ORIENT-4)显示文摘This study(ORIENT-4)aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of sintilimab,a humanized anti-PD-1 antibody,in patients with relapsed/refractory extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma(r/r ENKTL).ORIENT-4 is a multicenter,single-arm,phase 2 clinical trial(NCT03228836).Patients with r/r ENKTL who failed to at least one asparaginase-based regimen were enrolled to receive sintilimab 200 mg intravenously every 3 weeks for up to 24 months.The primary endpoint was the objective response rate(ORR)based on Lugano 2014 criteria.Twenty-eight patients with r/r ENKTL were enrolled from August 31,2017 to February 7,2018.Twenty-one patients(75.0%,95%CI:55.1–89.3%)achieved an objective response.With a median follow-up of 30.4 months,the median overall survival(OS)was not reached.The 24-month OS rate was 78.6%(95%CI,58.4–89.8%).Most treatment-related adverse events(TRAEs)were grade 1–2(71.4%),and the most common TRAE was decreased lymphocyte count(42.9%).Serious adverse events(SAEs)occurred in 7(25.0%)patients,and no patient died of adverse events.Sintilimab is effective and well tolerated in patients with r/r ENKTL and could be a novel therapeutic approach for the control of ENKTL in patients.Rong Tao Lei Fan Yongping Song Yu Hu Wei Zhang Yafei Wang Wei Xu Jianyong Li 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,11:4
10Structure optimization of gas-liquid combined loop reactor using a CFD-PBE coupled model显示文摘Flow characteristics, such as flow pattern, gas holdup, and bubble size distribution, in an internal loop reactor with external liquid circulation, are simulated to investigate the influence of reactor internals by using the computational fluid dynamics (CFD)-population balance equations (PBE) coupled model. Numerical results reveal that introducing a downcomer tube and a draft tube can help to improve the mass and heat transfer of the reactor through enhanced liquid circulation, increased gas holdup and reduced bubble diameter. 12Genome-wide identification and characterization of the lateral organ boundaries domain gene family in Brassica rapa var.rapa显示文摘The Lateral Organ Boundaries Domain(LBD)genes encode highly conserved plant-specific LOB domain proteins which regulate growth and development in various species.However,members of the LBD gene family have yet to be identified in Brassica rapa var.rapa.In the present study,fifty-nine LBD genes were identified and distributed on 10 chromosomes.The BrrLBD proteins are predicted to encode hydrophobic polypeptides between 118 and 394 amino acids in length and with molecular weights ranging from 13.31 to 44.24 kDa;the theoretical pi for these proteins varies from 4.83 to 9.68.There were 17 paralogous gene pairs in the BrrLBD family,suggesting that the amplification of the BrrLBD gene family involved largescale gene duplication events.Members of the BrrLBD family were divided into 7 subclades(class I a to e,class II a and b).Analysis of gene structure and conserved domains revealed that most BrrLBD genes of the same subclade had similar gene structures and protein motifs.The expression profiles of 59 BrrLBD genes were determined through Quantitative Real-time fluorescent PCR(qRT-PCR).Most BrrLBD genes in the same subclade had similar gene expression profiles.However,the expression patterns of 7 genes differed from their duplicates,indicating that although the gene function of most BrrLBD genes has been conserved,some BrrLBD genes may have undergone evolutionary change.Qin Yu Simin Hu Jiancan Du Yongping Yang Xudong Sun 2020Plant Diversity2020,42,1:3

16Possible change on the runoff in the upper Yellow River basin under global climate change显示文摘In this study,the characteristics and changing trends of temperature,precipitation,and runoff in the upper Yellow River basin up Tangnag station are analyzed by using hydrological and meteorological data in the past 50 years from observation stations in the basin.Further,in this study,the evolving trend of runoff in the future decades is forecasted in the basin based on the method of suppositional climate scenes combination.The results indicate temperature variation in the basin has an evident positive relation with global warming,and the precipitation variations are quite complicated in the basin because of differences of located geographic positions during the past 50 years.Runoff in the basin has been decreasing continually since the end of the 1980s because the mean temperature in the basin has been rising and precipitation in the main areas of runoff formation in the basin has been decreasing.Runoff will largely decrease if precipitation decreases and temperature rises continuously,whereas runoff will increase if temperature is invariable and precipitation increases largely;the increase magnitude of runoff may be more than that of precipitation because of the synchronously increasing supply of meltwater from snow,glacier,and frozen soils in future several decades.YongChao Lan Jun Wen JunJie Chang YeXin Xu YongPing Shen XingLin Hu JinQi Lu 2009Research in Cold and Arid Regions2009,1,2:2
17The effect of biomass pyrolysis gas reburning on N_2O emission in a coal-fired fluidized bed boiler显示文摘The fossil fuel consumption and pollutant emissions in a coal fired fluidized bed boiler could be reduced by biomass pyrolysis gas reburning.The influence of three kinds of biomass pyrolysis gases on the emission of N_2O in a laboratory scale fluidized bed was investigated using the mechanism of GRI3.0 in this paper.The results showed that:the effect of sawdust pyrolysis gas reburning on N_2O was more significant than that of rice husk and orange peel under the same conditions;the increase of initial oxygen content from 1% to 8% in flue gas would restrain the decomposition of N_2O;the N_2O decomposition was enhanced by increasing reaction temperature from 1073.15 K to 1323.15 K,and the decomposition rate may reach 99% at 1223.15 K.HU XiaoYing DONG ChangQing YANG YongPing ZHANG JunJiao 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,14:2
18Performance analysis of a solar-aided power generation(SAPG) plant using specific consumption theory显示文摘In contrast to a traditional coal-fired power generation plant where steam extracted from a turbine is used to preheat the feedwater in all preheating stages, a solar-aided power generation(SAPG) plant uses solar heat to replace a part or all of the extracted steam in one or more preheating stages. The performance of an SAPG plant with different replacements is investigated in this study by using specific consumption theory(SCT). Fuel-specific and cost-specific consumption models for SAPG plants are built based on the SCT. A typical 330 MW coal-fired power plant is used as the study case. The performance of the SAPG plant in terms of specific consumption, with steam obtained from the first through the eighth(except for the fourth) stages of extraction replaced by solar heat, is compared with that of the reference coal-fired power plant. The fuel-specific consumption of the SAPG plant is determined to be lower than that of the reference coal-fired power plant. The fuel-specific consumption accrual distribution in SAPG plants is used to assess the effect of each individual replacement.
