1High expression of ACE2 receptor of 2019-nCoV on the epithelial cells of oral mucosa显示文摘It has been reported that ACE2 is the main host cell receptor of 2019-nCoV and plays a crucial role in the entry of virus into the cell to cause the final infection. To investigate the potential route of 2019-n Cov infection on the mucosa of oral cavity, bulk RNA-seq profiles from two public databases including The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA) and Functional Annotation of The Mammalian Genome Cap Analysis of Gene Expression(FANTOM5 CAGE) dataset were collected. RNA-seq profiling data of 13 organ types with para-carcinoma normal tissues from TCGA and 14 organ types with normal tissues from FANTOM5 CAGE were analyzed in order to explore and validate the expression of ACE2 on the mucosa of oral cavity. Further, single-cell transcriptomes from an independent data generated in-house were used to identify and confirm the ACE2-expressing cell composition and proportion in oral cavity. The results demonstrated that the ACE2 expressed on the mucosa of oral cavity. Interestingly, this receptor was highly enriched in epithelial cells of tongue. 3Reliability and validity of the Chinese version of CAHS among renal transplant recipients显示文摘Purpose:The purpose of this study was to assess the applicability of the Chinese version of Cognitive Appraisal of Health Scale(CAHS)for renal transplant recipients,and to make a preliminary evaluation of its reliability and validity.Methods:A total of 147 renal transplant recipients who attended a transplant follow-up clinic in a Level 3,Grade A hospital in Beijing were asked to complete the Chinese version of CAHS.Following completion the reliability and validity of the scale were tested.Results:The Cronbach alpha coefficient of Chinese version of CAHS among subscales of threat,harm,challenge and benign-irrelevant were 0.857,0.806,0.680,0.100 respectively;and the test-retest reliability coefficient were 0.791,0.601,0.624,0.470(p<0.01).Spearman correlation was used to test the four subscales'correlation between the item score and the total score,in which threat was 0.598e0.748,challenge was 0.517e0.651,harm was 0.528 e0.735 and benign-irrelevant was 0.507e0.651.These correlations were all statistically significant.The four common factors were extracted using factor analysis.The four factors accounted for 50.356%of the total variance.The SF-36 Physical Component Summary(PCS)and Mental Component Summary(MCS)scores were correlated with each subscale score in CAHS.Threat was weakly correlated to PCS,and was moderately correlated to MCS;harm was moderately correlated to both PCS and MCS;challenge was weakly correlated to both PCS and MCS and benign-irrelevant did not correlate with neither PCS nor MCS.The Chinese version of CAHS has been shown to have good discriminate and convergent validity.Conclusion:The Chinese version of the CAHS was supported to be applicable and to provide measurable performance in renal transplant recipients,thus it can be utilized with renal transplant recipients in China.Shuping Zhang Yabin Shang Xiao Peng Hui Xie Hongxia Liu 2015International Journal of Nursing Sciences2015,2,3:4
4Effect of Jianpiyiqi granule on ocular myasthenia gravis in children prepared with a formula from Traditional Chinese Medicine显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of Jianpiyiqi granule, prepared according to a Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) formula, on the ocular type of myasthenia gravis(MG) caused by a defect in synaptic transmission at the neuromuscular junction.METHODS: A total of 155 children with ocular MG were recruited from January 2008 to January 2015.All individuals received ineffective glucocorticoid treatment prior to admission, and were given Jianpiyiqi granules(two doses per day) for 12 months.Plasma levels of acetylcholine receptor autoantibodies(ACh R-Ab), cytokines, immune parameters and clinical score were analyzed.RESULTS: After intervention with Jianpiyiqi granule for 12 months, the levels of cytokines [including interleukin(IL)-6, IL-12, IL-17], immune parameters[including immunoglobulin G(Ig G), Ig M, free triiodothyronine, free thyroxine] and ACh R-Ab were sig-nificantly decreased(P = 0.042, P = 0.049, P = 0.011,P = 0.02, P = 0.04, P = 0.03, P = 0.01; F = 21.60, P =0.000). In contrast, IL-4 levels were significantly increased(P = 0.049). The absolute clinical score after treatment declined significantly compared with before treatment(F = 33.24, P = 0.000). The effective cure rate and the total effective rate gradually increased to a maximum of 149(96.2%) and 151(97.4%) in MG patients after 12 months of treatment, respectively.CONCLUSION: The Jianpiyiqi granule treatment lowered ACh R-Ab levels and improved cytokine and other immune parameter levels, which suggests that the granule could be an ancillary treatment for ocular MG in children caused by a defect in synaptic transmission at the neuromuscular junction.Qi Guoyan Liu Peng Gu Shanshan Yang Hongxia Dong Huimin Xue Yinping 2017Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2017,37,4:4
5SOX4 contributes to TGF-β-induced epithelialemesenchymal transition and stem cell characteristics of gastric cancer cells显示文摘SOX4 is highly expressed in gastric cancer(GC)and is associated with tumor grade,metastasis and prognosis,however the mechanism is not clear.We report herein that SOX4 was upregulated and overexpression of SOX4 was associated with increased expression of the markers of Epithelialemesenchymal transition(EMT)and stemness in clinic patient samples.In vitro,overexpression of SOX4 promoted the invasion as showed by Transwell assay and stemness of GC cells as assessed by sphere formation assay,which was suppressed by silencing SOX4 with shRNA.Further studies showed that SOX4 up-regulated the expression of EMT transcription factors Twist1,snail1 and zeb1 and stemness transcription factors SOX2 and OCT4,and promoted the nuclear translocation of β-catenin.Moreover,we revealed that TGF-β treatment significantly up-regulated the expression of SOX4 and silencing SOX4 reversed TGF-β induced invasion and sphere formation ability of GC cells.Finally,we showed that SOX4 promoted the lung metastasis and tumor formation ability of gastric cancer cells in nude mice.Our results suggest that SOX4 is a target TGF-β signaling and mediates TGF-β-induced EMT and stem cell characteristics of GC cells,revealing a novel role of TGF-β/SOX4 axis in the regulation of malignant behavior of GC.Xudong Peng Guangyi Liu Hongxia Peng Anqi Chen Lang Zha Ziwei Wang 2018Genes & Diseases2018,5,1:4
6Association of assisted reproductive technology, germline de novo mutations and congenital heart defects in a prospective birth cohort study显示文摘Emerging evidence suggests that children conceived through assisted reproductive technology(ART)have a higher risk of congenital heart defects(CHDs)even when there is no family history.De novo mutation(DNM)is a well-known cause of sporadic congenital diseases;however,whether ART procedures increase the number of germline DNM(gDNM)has not yet been well studied.Here,we performed whole-genome sequencing of 1137 individuals from 160 families conceived through ART and 205 families conceived spontaneously.Children conceived via ART carried 4.59 more gDNMs than children conceived spontaneously,including 332 paternal and 1.26 maternal DNMs,after correcting for parental age at conception,cigarette smoking,alcohol drinking,and exercise behaviors.Paternal DNMs in offspring conceived via ART are characterized by C>T substitutions at CpG sites,which potentially affect protein-coding genes and are significantly associated with the increased risk of CHD.In addition,the accumulation of non-coding functional mutations was independently associated with CHD and 87.9% of the mutations were originated from the father.Among ART offspring,infertility of the father was associated with elevated paternal DNMs;usage of both recombinant and urinary follicle-stimulating hormone and high-dosage human chorionic gonadotropin trigger was associated with an increase of maternal DNMs.In sum,the increased gDNMs in offspring conceived by ART were primarily originated from fathers,indicating that ART itself may not be a major reason for the accumulation of gDNMs.Our findings emphasize the importance of evaluating the germline status of the fathers in families with the use of ART.Cheng Wang Hong Lv Xiufeng Ling Hong Li Feiyang Diao Juncheng Dai Jiangbo Du Ting Chen Qi Xi Yang Zhao Kun Zhou Bo Xu Xiumei Han Xiaoyu Liu Meijuan Peng Congcong Chen Shiyao Tao Lei Huang Cong Liu Mingyang Wen Yangqian Jiang Tao Jiang Chuncheng Lu Wei Wu Di Wu Minjian Chen Yuan Lin Xuejiang Guo Ran Huo Jiayin Liu Hongxia Ma Guangfu Jin Yankai Xia Jiahao Sha Hongbing Shen Zhibin Hu 2021Cell Research2021,31,8:2

9Estimation of Postmortem Interval by Postmortem Myocardial Computed Tomography Value显示文摘Background:The estimation of postmortem interval(PMI)is one of the most important topics in forensic medicine research.We speculate that with an increased PMI,the computed tomography(CT)values of different tissues may show regular changes.Purpose:To use postmortem computed tomography(PMCT)to measure the myocardial CT value(unit:Hounsfield Unit,HU)of the heart to explore its pattern in postmortem change,and to discuss whether it can serve as a new parameter for PMI estimation.Methods:A total of 10 healthy adult New Zealand rabbits were selected and then put into a 20℃ incubator after being sacrificed.Within 0-156 h after death,CT scans were performed every 12 h to detect changes in the myocardial CT value of the heart over time.Regression analysis was used to determine the relationship between the myocardial CT value of the heart and PMI.At the same time,HE and Masson were used to stain the cardiac tissue sections detected by PMCT at Oh,48h and 156h,respectively.Results:During 0-156 h,the overall myocardial CT value showed a trend of first rising and then decreasing with the increase of PMI.The fitting regression equation was y=-2873.193+143.866x-1.728x2(x:myocardial CT value,unit:Hu;y:PMI,unit:h,R2=0.466,P<0.05).During 48-156 h,the overall myocardial CT value decreased gradually with the increase of PMI.The fitting regression equation was y=-93.038+18.700x-0.321x2(x:myocardial CT value,unit:Hu;y:PMI,unit:h,R2=0.963,P<0.001).The results of the morphological changes of the myocardial tissue structure after death showed that the myocardial cell structure was relatively complete at 0-48 hours after death;and the myocardial cell structure disappeared at 156 hours after death.Conclusions:Our results revealed evident postmortem changes in the myocardial CT value of the heart.Accordingly,measuring the myocardial CT value through PMCT shows promise for being used as a parameter for PMI estimation in forensic medicine and is worthy of further studies.The morphological changes of the myocardial tissue structure after death provide morphological basis for postmortem changes of tissue density,and further prove the reasons for the changes of CT value.Zhiyuan An Hongxia He Qing Niu Haibiao Zhu Yucong Wang Ran Liu Weiliang Hou Peng Tang Tiantong Yang Dong Zhao 2021Journal of Forensic Science and Medicine2021,7,3:1

11Production of very-high-amylose cassava by post-transcriptional silencing of branching enzyme genes显示文摘High amylose starch can be produced by plants deficient in the function of branching enzymes(BEs).Here we report the production of transgenic cassava(Manihot esculenta Crantz)with starches containing up to 50%amylose due to the constitutive expression of hair-pin ds RNAs targeting the BE1 or BE2 genes.All BE1-RNAi plant lines(BE1i)and BE2-RNAi plant lines(BE2i)were grown up in the field,but with reduced total biomass production.Considerably high amylose content in the storage roots of BE2i plant lines was achieved.Storage starch granules of BE1i and BE2i plants had similar morphology as wild type(WT),however,the size of BE1i starch granules were bigger than that of WT.Comparisons of amylograms and thermograms of all three sources of storage starches revealed dramatic changes to the pasting properties and a higher melting temperature for BE2i starches.Glucan chain length distribution analysis showed a slight increase in chains of DP>36 in BE1i lines and a dramatic increase in glucan chains between DP 10-20 and DP>40 in BE2i lines.Furthermore,BE2i starches displayed a B-type X-ray diffraction pattern instead of the A-type pattern found in BE1i and WT starches.Therefore,cassava BE1 and BE2 function differently in storage root starch biosynthesis.Wenzhi Zhou Shanshan Zhao Shutao He Qiuxiang Ma Xinlu Lu Xiaomeng Hao Hongxia Wang Jun Yang Peng Zhang 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,6:1

18Efficient CO_(2)Reduction to Formate on CsPbI_(3) Nanocrystals Wrapped with Reduced Graphene Oxide显示文摘Transformation of greenhouse gas(CO_(2))into valuable chemicals and fuels is a promising route to address the global issues of climate change and the energy crisis.Metal halide perovskite catalysts have shown their potential in promoting CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR),however,their low phase stability has limited their application perspective.Herein,we present a reduced graphene oxide(rGO)wrapped CsPbI_3 perovskite nanocrystal(NC)CO_(2)RR catalyst(CsPbI_3/rGO),demonstrating enhanced stability in the aqueous electrolyte.The CsPbI_3/rGO catalyst exhibited>92%Faradaic efficiency toward formate production at a CO_(2)RR current density of~12.7 mA cm^(-2).Comprehensive characterizations revealed the superior performance of the CsPbI_3/rGO catalyst originated from the synergistic effects between the CsPbI_3 NCs and rGO,i.e.,rGO stabilized theα-CsPbI_3 phase and tuned the charge distribution,thus lowered the energy barrier for the protonation process and the formation of~*HCOO intermediate,which resulted in high CO_(2)RR selectivity toward formate.This work shows a promising strategy to rationally design robust metal halide perovskites for achieving efficient CO_(2)RR toward valuable fuels.Minh Tam Hoang Chen Han Zhipeng Ma Xin Mao Yang Yang Sepideh Sadat Madani Paul Shaw Yongchao Yang Lingyi Peng Cui Ying Toe Jian Pan Rose Amal Aijun Du Tuquabo Tesfamichael Zhaojun Han Hongxia Wang 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,10:1
19Rational screening of metal coating on Zn anode for ultrahigh-cumulative-capacity aqueous zinc metal batteries显示文摘Aqueous zinc metal batteries feature intrinsic safety,but suffer from severe dendrite growth and water-derived side reactions.Many metal coatings have been explored for stabilizing Zn metal anode via a trialand-error approach.Here,we propose an exercisable way to screen the potential metal coating on Zn anodes in view of de-polarization effect and dendrite-suppressing ability theoretically.As an output of this screening,cadmium(Cd) metal is checked experimentally.Therefore,symmetric ZnllZn cells using Cd coated Zn(Zn@Cd) exhibit an ultra-long cycle life of 3500 h(nearly 5 months) at a high current density of 10 mA cm^(-2),achieving a record-high cumulative capacity(35 A h cm^(-2)) compared to the previous reports.The full cells of Zn@Cd‖MnO_(2) display a markedly improved cycling performance under harsh conditions including a limited Zn supply(N/P ratio=1.7) and a high areal capacity(3.5 mA h cm^(-2)).The significance of this work lies in not only the first report of Cd coating for stabilizing Zn metal anode,but also a feasible way to screen the promising metal materials for other metal anodes.Dan Lv Huili Peng Cheng Wang Hongxia Liu Dongdong Wang Jian Yang Yitai Qian 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,9:1
