Time range of Mesozoic tectonic regime inversion in eastern North China Block显示文摘An important tectonic inversion took place in eastern North China Block(NCB) during Mesozoic, which caused a great lithosphere thinning, reconstruction of basin-range series, powerful interaction between mantle and crust, a vast granitic intrusion and volcanism, and large-scale metallogenic explosion. The time range of the Mesozoic tectonic regime inversion in the eastern North China Block is one of the key issues to understand mechanism of tectonic regime inversion. Our updated results for recognizing the time range are mainly obtained from the following aspects: structural analyses along northern and southern margins of the NCB and within the NCB for revealing tectonic inversion from compression to extension and structural striking from ~EW to NNE; geothermic analyses of the eastern sedimental basins for a great change of thermal history and regime; basin analysis for basin inversion from compression to extension and basin migration from ~EW to NNE; petrological and geochemical studies of volcanic rocks and lowermost crust xenoliths for recognizing peak period of mantle upwelling and intense interaction between mantle and crust, and main metallogenic epoch. All the studies of the above give the same time range from~150-140 Ma to ~110-100Ma, peaking at ~120 Ma.ZHAI Mingguo ZHU Rixiang LIU Jianming MENG Qingren HOU Quanlin HU Shengbiao LIU Wei LI Zhong ZHANG Hongfu ZHANG Huafeng 2004Science China Earth Sciences2004,47,2:89
Destruction of the North China Craton显示文摘A National Science Foundation of China(NSFC) major research project,Destruction of the North China Craton(NCC),has been carried out in the past few years by Chinese scientists through an in-depth and systematic observations, experiments and theoretical analyses, with an emphasis on the spatio-temporal distribution of the NCC destruction, the structure of deep earth and shallow geological records of the craton evolution, the mechanism and dynamics of the craton destruction. From this work the following conclusions can be drawn:(1) Significant spatial heterogeneity exists in the NCC lithospheric thickness and crustal structure, which constrains the scope of the NCC destruction.(2) The nature of the Paleozoic,Mesozoic and Cenozoic sub-continental lithospheric mantle(CLM) underneath the NCC is characterized in detail. In terms of water content, the late Mesozoic CLM was rich in water, but Cenozoic CLM was highly water deficient.(3) The correlation between magmatism and surface geological response confirms that the geological and tectonic evolution is governed by cratonic destruction processes.(4) Pacific subduction is the main dynamic factor that triggered the destruction of the NCC,which highlights the role of cratonic destruction in plate tectonics.ZHU RiXiang XU YiGang ZHU Guang ZHANG HongFu XIA QunKe ZHENG TianYu 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,10:119
Peridotite-melt interaction:A key point for the destruction of cratonic lithospheric mantle显示文摘This paper presents an overview of recent studies dealing with different ages of mantle peridotitic xenoliths and xenocrysts from the North China Craton, with aim to provide new ideas for further study on the destruction of the North China Craton. Re-Os isotopic studies suggest that the lithospheric mantle of the North China Craton is of Archean age prior to its thinning. The key reason why such a low density and highly refractory Archean lithospheric mantle would be thinned is changes in composition, thermal regime, and physical properties of the lithospheric mantle due to interaction of peridotites with melts of different origins. Inward subduction of circum craton plates and collision with the North China Craton provided not only the driving force for the destruction of the craton, but also continuous melts derived from partial melting of subducted continental or oceanic crustal materials that resulted in the compositional change of the lithospheric mantle. Regional thermal anomaly at ca. 120 Ma led to the melting of highly modified lithospheric mantle. At the same time or subsequently lithospheric exten- sion and asthenospheric upwelling further reinforced the melting and thinning of the lithospheric mantle. Therefore, the destruction and thinning of the North China Craton is a combined result of peridotite-melt interaction (addition of volatile), enhanced regional thermal anomaly (temperature increase) and lithospheric extension (decompression). Such a complex geological process finally produced a 'mixed' lithospheric mantle of highly chemical heterogeneity during the Mesozoic and Cenozoic. It also resulted in significant difference in the composition of mantle peridotitic xenoliths between different regions and times.ZHANG HongFu 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,19:35
Volcanism at the Permian-Triassic Boundary in South China and Its Effects on Mass Extinction显示文摘This paper discusses the clayrocks widespread at the Permian-Triassic boundary, which are mostly of volcanic origin. Volcanogenetic textures, structures and minerals such as high-temperature quartz are found in clayrocks at the Permian-Triassic boundary in many places. Thousands of microspherules have been collected from the Boundary clayrocks, many of which exhibit the typical features of the process from melting to cooling and solidification. indicating that they were formed by volcanic eruption or extraterrestrial impact. Volcanic effects on the Permian-Triassic mass extinction may be reflected in conodonts, algae and ammonoids. The Boundary clayrocks are found in many Permian-Triassic sections along the coast of Tethys. Their orighin remains to be studied.Yin Hongfu, Huang Siji, Zhang Kexin, Yang Fengqing, Ding Meihua, Bi Xianmei and Zhang Suxin China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, Hubei 1989Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)1989,63,4:22
Mass extinction and Pangea integration during the Paleozoic-Mesozoic transition显示文摘The greatest Phanerozoic mass extinction happened at the end-Permian to earliest Triassic.About 95%species,82%genera,and more than half families became extinct, constituting the sole macro-mass extinction in geological history. This event not only caused the great extinction but also destroyed the 200 Myr-long Paleozoic marine ecosystem, prompted its transition to Mesozoic ecosystem, and induced coal gap on land as well as reef gap and chert gap in ocean. The biotic crisis during the Paleozoic-Mesozoic transition was a long process of co-evolution between geospheres and biosphere. The event sequence at the Permian-Triassic boundary(PTB)reveals two-episodic pattern of rapidly deteriorating global changes and biotic mass extinction and the intimate relationship between them. The severe global changes coupling multiple geospheres may have affected the Pangea integration on the Earth’s surface spheres, which include:the Pangea integration→enhanced mountain height and basin depth, changes of wind and ocean current systems;enhanced ocean basin depth→the greatest Phanerozoic regression at PTB,disappearance of epeiric seas and subsequent rapid transgression;the Pangea integration→thermal isolation effect of continental lithosphere and decrease of mid-ocean ridges→development of continental volcanism;two-episode volcanism causing LIPs of the Emeishan Basalt and the Siberian Trap(259–251 Ma)→global warming and mass extinction;continental aridification and replacement of monsoon system by latitudinal wind system→destruction of vegetation;enhanced weathering and CH4emission→negative excursion ofδ13C;mantle plume→crust doming→regression;possible relation between the Illawarra magnetic reversal and the PTB extinction, and so on.Mantle plume produced the Late Permian LIPs and mantle convection may have caused the process of the Pangea integration.Subduction, delamination, and accumulation of the earth’s cool lithospheric material at the'D'layer of CMB started mantle plume by heat compensation and disturbed the outer core thermo-convection,and the latter in turn would generate the mid-Permian geomagnetic reversal. These core and mantle perturbations may have caused the Pangea integration and two successive LIPs in the Permian, and probably finally the mass extinction at the PTB.YIN HongFu SONG HaiJun 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,11:21
New paleontological evidence on time determination of the east part of the Eastern Kunlun Mélange and its tectonic significance显示文摘New paleontological evidence suggests that the composition of the matrix and slices from the middle and the south of the Eastern Kunlun Mélange Belt is very complex, ranging from Proterozoic to Mesozoic in geological time. A Cambrian acritarch assemblage has been discovered from the middle part of the Eastern Kunlun Mélange, a Neoproterozoic to the early Paleozoic acritarch assemblage has been discovered from the south of the Eastern Kunlun Mé lange, and so has been an Early Permian radiolarian from the A’nyemaqen Mélange in Buqing- shan. In addition, some sporopollen has been obtained from the Mesozoic tectonic slices. The above-mentioned paleontological evidence indicates that the Eastern Kunlun Orogenic Belt experienced two episodes from ocean to continent from the Neoproterozoic to the Early Paleo- zoic and in the Late Paleozoic respectively. In the process of intracontinent development in Mesozoic, because of heavy thrust-nappe, strike-slip sheer and crust shortening, the Mesozoic formation was intercalated in mélange by slices and the Eastern Kunlun Orogenic Belt became more complex.ZHANG Kexin LIN Qixiang ZHU Yunhai YIN Hongfu LUO Mansheng CHEN Nengsong WANG Guocan 2004Science China Earth Sciences2004,47,10:17
Differential expression analysis of the broiler tracheal proteins responsible for the immune response and muscle contraction induced by high concentration of ammonia using iTRAQ-coupled 2D LC-MS/MS显示文摘Ammonia has been considered the contaminant primarily responsible for respiratory disease in poultry. Even though it can cause tracheal lesions, its adverse effects on the trachea have not been sufficiently studied. The present study investigated tracheal changes in Arbor Acres broilers(Gallus gallus) induced by high concentration of ammonia using isobaric tag for relative and absolute quantification(iTRAQ)-based proteome analysis. In total, 3,706 proteins within false discovery rate of 1% were identified, including 119 significantly differentially expressed proteins. Functional analysis revealed that proteins related to immune response and muscle contraction were significantly enriched. With respect to the immune response, up-regulated proteins(like FGA) were pro-inflammatory, while down-regulated proteins participated in antigen processing and antigen presenting(like MYO1G), immunoglobulin and cathelicidin production(like fowlicidin-2), and immunodeficiency(like PTPRC). Regarding muscle contraction, all differentially expressed proteins(like TPM1) were up-regulated. An over-expression of mucin, which is a common feature of airway disease, was also observed. Additionally, the transcriptional alterations of 6 selected proteins were analyzed by quantitative RT-PCR. Overall, proteomic changes suggested the onset of airway obstruction and diminished host defense in trachea after ammonia exposure. These results may serve as a valuable reference for future interventions against ammonia toxicity.Yan Xiong Xiangfang Tang Qingshi Meng Hongfu Zhang 2016Science China(Life Sciences)2016,59,11:15

Dietary protocatechuic acid ameliorates inflammation and up-regulates intestinal tight junction proteins by modulating gut microbiota in LPS-challenged piglets显示文摘Background: Weaning is one of the major factors that cause stress and intestinal disease in piglets. Protocatechuic acid(PCA) is an active plant phenolic acid which exists in Chinese herb, Duzhong(Eucommia ulmoides Oliver), and is also considered as the main bioactive metabolite of polyphenol against oxidative stress and inflammation. This study aimed to investigate the effect of PCA on growth performance, intestinal barrier function, and gut microbiota in a weaned piglet model challenged with lipopolysaccharide(LPS).Methods: Thirty-six piglets(Pig Improvement Company line 337 × C48, 28 d of age, 8.87 kg ± 0.11 kg BW) were randomly allocated into 3 treatments and fed with a basal diet(CTL), a diet added 50 mg/kg of aureomycin(AUR), or a diet supplemented with 4000 mg/kg of PCA, respectively. The piglets were challenged with LPS(10 μg/kg BW) on d 14 and d 21 by intraperitoneal injection during the 21-d experiment. Animals(n = 6 from each group) were sacrificed after being anesthetized by sodium pentobarbital at 2 h after the last injection of LPS. The serum was collected for antioxidant indices and inflammatory cytokines analysis, the ileum was harvested for detecting mRNA and protein levels of tight junction proteins by PCR and immunohistochemical staining, and the cecum chyme was collected for intestinal flora analysis using 16 S rRNA gene sequencing. Results: Dietary supplementation of PCA or AUR significantly increased the expression of tight junction proteins including ZO-1 and claudin-1 in intestinal mucosa, and decreased the serum levels of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances(TBARS) and IL-6, as compared with CTL group. In addition, PCA also decreased the serum levels of IL-2 and TNF-α(P < 0.05). Analysis of gut microbiota indicated that PCA increased the Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ratio(P < 0.05). Spearman's correlation analysis at the genus level revealed that PCA reduced the relative abundance of Prevotella 9, Prevotella 2, Holdemanella, and Ruminococcus torques group(P < 0.05), and increased the relative abundance of Roseburia and Desulfovibrio(P < 0.05), whereas AUR had no significant effect on these bacteria. Conclusions: These results demonstrated that both PCA and AUR had protective effect on oxidative stress, inflammation and intestinal barrier function in piglets challenged with LPS, and PCA potentially exerted the protective function by modulating intestinal flora in a way different from AUR.Ruizhi Hu Ziyu He Ming Liu Jijun Tan Hongfu Zhang De-Xing Hou Jianhua He Shusong Wu 2021Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2021,12,1:12
Isolation of bacteria from fermented food and grass carp intestine and their efficiencies in improving nutrient value of soybean meal in solid state fermentation显示文摘Background: Soybean meal is an excellent and cost-effective protein source; however, its usage is limited in the piglet due to the presence of anti-nutritional factors and the antigens glycinin and β-conglycinin. The objective of the current study was to screen and select for bacteria that can be efficiently adopted to ferment soybean meal in order to solve this problem. Results: Bacteria were isolated from fermented soy foods and the grass carp intestine, and strains selected for high protease, cellulase and amylase activities. The isolated bacteria were characterized as Bacillus cereus, Bacillus subtilis and Bacilus amyloliquefacien, respectively. Fermentation with food-derived Isolate-2 and fish-derived F-9 increased crude protein content by 5.32% and 8.27%, respectively; improved the amino acid profile by increasing certain essential amino acids, broke down larger soy protein to 35 k Da and under, eliminated antigenicity against glycinin and β-conglycinin, and removed raffinose and stachyose in the soybean meal following a 24-h fermentation. Conclusions: Our results suggest these two B. amyloliquefaciens bacteria can efficiently solid state ferment soybean meal and ultimately produce a more utilizable food source for growing healthy piglets.Samantha Medeiros Jingjing Xie Paul W.Dyce Hugh Y.Cai Kees De Lange Hongfu Zhang Julang Li 2018Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2018,9,3:12
Field investigation on severely damaged aseismic buildings in 2014 Ludian earthquake显示文摘The 2014 magnitude 6.5 Ludian earthquake caused a death toll of 617, many landslides and tens of thousands of collapsed buildings. A field investigation to evaluate the damage to buildings was carried out immediately after the occurrence of the earthquake. Severely damaged aseismic buildings, which were basically observed in the downtown of Longtoushan Town, were carefully examined one by one with the aim to improve design codes. This paper summarizes the damage observed to the investigated aseismic buildings in both the structural and local levels. A common failure mode was observed that most of the aseismic buildings, such as RC frame structures and confined masonry structures, were similarly destroyed by severe damage or complete collapse of the first story. The related strong ground motion, which was recorded at the nearby station, had a short duration of less than 20 s but a very large PGA up to 1.0 g. The RC frames based on the new design codes still failed to achieve the design target for 'strong column, weak beam'. Typical local failure details, which were related to the interaction between RC columns and infill walls and between constructional columns and masonry walls, are summarized with preliminary analyses.Lin Xuchuan Zhang Haoyu Chen Hongfu Chen Hao Lin Junqi 2015Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2015,14,1:12
Heavy metals contents in soil profiles of typical agricultural lands in Yixing,Jiangsu Province,China显示文摘The effect of land use pattern on the heavy metals(HMs)distribution in soil profiles was investigated in Yixing City,China, for the four typical types of land utilization,i.e.vegetable fields on the plain, paddy fields, tea gardens on hilly lands and bamboo groves. The variance of HMs concentration in the depth of 0-15 cm,15-30 cm,30-60 cm of soil profiles was compared among the different tillage ages. Results showed there was a notable accumulation of Cd,Hg,Cu,Pb,Zn and Cr in the soil profiles of vegetable fields and paddy fields causing a pollution of Cu,Hg and Cd in some profiles, while no remarkable accumulation of HMs in the soil profiles of the tea gardens and bamboo groves was found. The accumulation extent of HMs in the soil profiles of the four kinds of land use followed a sequence of vegetable fields>paddy fields>tea gardens>bamboo groves. The accumulation of HMs was mainly due to the industry, transportation, other urban human activities, and intensive use of fertilizers and pesticides. The downward leaching of HMs was relatively remarkable in the soil profiles of vegetable fields. There was an accumulation in surface and subsurface layers for Cd,Hg,Pb,Zn in the soil profiles of paddy fields and tea gardens, and for Cd,Hg in those of bamboo groves.Serious pollution effects of Hg, Pb,and Zn have been shown in the soil of vegetable fields. All the four kinds of agricultural land are basically free from the pollution of the external sources of As and Ni.With the increase of tillage time, the soil of vegetable and paddy fields will face the potential risk of HMs pollution, which mainly comes from Hg,Cd and Cu,whereas that of tea gardens and bamboo groves faces a relatively small risk.Zhou ShengLu Liao FuQiang Wu ShaoHua Zhang HongFu Ren Kui 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,S1:11
Discussion on geobiology, biogeology and geobiofacies显示文摘Here we first discuss the definition of and the difference between geobiology and biogeology following a brief introduction of recent geobiology research in China. Geobiology is defined as an interdisciplinary study of life sciences and earth sciences, and biogeology as an interdisciplinary study of biology and geology. Scope of the term geobiology covers that of the term biogeology. Branch interdisciplines of both are listed. We then propose the term geobiofacies, defined as the facies of a geologic body embodying the whole process of interaction between organisms and environments. Differences among geobiofacies, biofacies, and organic facies are discussed. Main parameters defining a geobiofacies include habitat type, biotic composition and productivity, paleo-oxygenation regimes, and early diagenesis phases. Each of them is discussed in detail, and a semi-quantitative assessment of the biogeofacies of source rocks is proposed based on these parameters. A two-fold terminology for geobiofacies is recommended, namely, the biological and environmental aspects of biota and the redox conditions during life-burial-diagenesisYIN HongFu XIE ShuCheng QING JianZhong YAN JiaXin LUO GenMing 2008Science China Earth Sciences2008,51,11:11
Progress and perspective on frontiers of geobiology显示文摘Geobiology is a new discipline on the crossing interface between earth science and life science, and aims to understand the interaction and co-evolution between organisms and environments. On the basis of the latest international achievements, the new data presented in the Beijing geobiology forum sponsored by Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2013,and the papers in this special issue, here we present an overview of the progress and perspectives on three important frontiers, including geobiology of the critical periods in Earth history, geomicrobes and their responses and feedbacks to global environmental changes, and geobiology in extreme environments.Knowledge is greatly improved about the close relationship of some significant biotic events such as origin, radiation, extinction, and recovery of organisms with the deep Earth processes and the resultant environmental processes among oceans, land, and atmosphere in the critical periods, although the specific dynamics of the co-evolution between ancient life and paleoenvironments is still largely unknown.A variety of geomicrobial functional groups were found to respond sensitively to paleoenvironmental changes, which enable the establishment of proxies for paleoenvironmental reconstruction, and to play active roles on the Earth environmental changes via elemental biogeochemical cycles and mineral bio-transformations,but to be deciphered are the mechanisms of these functional groups that change paleoenvironmental conditions.Microbes of potential geobiology significance were found and isolated from some extreme environments with their biological properties partly understood, but little is known about their geobiological functions to change Earth environments. The biotic processes to alter or modify the environments are thus proposed to be the very issue geobiology aims to decipher in the future.Geobiology will greatly extend the temporal and spatial scope of biotic research on Earth and beyond. It has great potential of application in the domains of resource exploration and global change. To achieve these aims needs coordinative multidisciplinary studies concerning geomicrobiology and related themes, database and modeling of biogeochemical cycles, typical geological environments, and coupling of biological, physical, and chemical processes.XIE ShuCheng YIN HongFu 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,5:10
A Review on the Global Stratotype Section and Point of the Permian-Triassic Boundary显示文摘This paper provides a synthetic review of researches on Meishan Section D, the Global Stratotype Section and Point of the Permian-Triassic Boundary (PTB). The history of research, geographic and geological setting of the section are briefly introduced. Changhsingian to “Griesbachian” conodont and ammonoid zonations, the most perfect Permo-Triassic zonations over the world, are presented, with a short discussion on the age of Otoceras. The Changhsingian to “Griesbachian” strata are subdivided into three 3rd order sequences, and the sedimentary structure of each sequence is indicated. The paper presents a correlation of the Changhsingian to “Griesbachian” magnetostratigraphy of the Meishan section with the general scale, and informed the negation of a short magnetic reversal at the PTB suggested by Zhu and Liu (1999). Recent developments of chemostratigraphy of δ 13C and δ 34S are introduced, especially the discovery of more than one negative δ 13C excursions across the PTB. Two important molecular researches reveal the profound changes at the base of eco-system, the microbial catastrophy, and the euxinic conditions in the photic zone during the Permian-Triassic superanoxic event. The paper reports the changes in dating the age of PTB since 2001. According to recent achievements, the age of volcanogenic claybed 25, 14 cm below the PTB, is now set at 252.4±0.3 Ma. A discussion on the eventostratigraphy concludes that, although there is a major event episode at beds 25–26, the events across the PTB at Meishan are multi-episodic and commenced prior to the Event Beds 25–26, thus the possibility that the mass extinction was mainly induced by an exterrestrial impact is largely excluded.YIN Hongfu TONG Jinnan ZHANG Kexin 2005Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2005,79,6:10
The fluctuating environment associated with the episodic biotic crisis during the Permo/Triassic transition:Evidence from microbial biomarkers in Changxing,Zhejiang Province显示文摘The environmental conditions and the biotic crisis during the Permo-Triassic (Tr/P) transition received increasing attention in the past decades. Presented herein are the molecular fossil records of cyano-bacteria and green sulfur bacteria, the base of the marine ecosystem,to highlight the episodic nature of both the environment and the biotic crisis during this critical period. At least two episodes of cyano-bacterial expansion are documented by 2-methylhopanes ranging from C28 to C32 in carbon number, indicative of the instable marine ecosystem and the fluctuant aquatic nutrients. Meanwhile, the index of 2-alkyl-1,3,4-trimethylbenzenes (biomarkers of green sulfur bacteria) and the ratio of pristane to phy-tane (Pr/Ph) witness the fluctuation of sedimentary environmental redox conditions. The above mo-lecular evidence suggests the occurrence of highly fluctuating environmental conditions during the Tr/P transition, which is consistent with, and probably the cause of,the multi-phased biotic crisis and the prolonged faunal recovery.HUANG XianYu JIAO Dan LU LiQiang XIE ShuCheng HUANG JunHua WANG YongBiao YIN HongFu WANG HongMei ZHANG KeXin LAI XuLong 2007Science China Earth Sciences2007,50,7:10
Deformed coal types and pore characteristics in Hancheng coalmines in Eastern Weibei coalfields显示文摘Based on SEM observance, the methods of low-temperature nitrogen and isothermal adsorption were used to test and analyze the coal samples of Hancheng, and pore structure characteristics of tectonic coals were discussed. The results indicate that in the same coal rank, stratification and crack are well developed in cataclastic coal, which is mostly filled by mineral substance in the geohydrologic element abundance, results in pore connectivity variation.Granulated and mylonitic coal being of these characteristics,as develop microstructures and exogenous fractures as well as large quantity of pores resulted from gas generation and strong impermeability, stimulate the recovery of seepage coal, improve coal connectivity and enhance reservoir permeability.Absorption pore(micro-pore) is dominant in coal pore for different coal body structure, the percentage of which pore aperture is from 1 to 100 nm is 71.44% to 88.15%,including large of micro-pore with the 74.56%-94.70%;with the deformation becoming more intense in the same coal rank, mesopore enlarge further,open-end pores become thin-neck-bottle-shaped pores step by step, specific surface area of micro-pore for cataclastic coal is 0.0027 m 2 /g,while mylonitic coal increases to 7.479 m 2 /g,micro-pore gradually play a dominant role in effecting pore structural parameters.xue Guangwu Liu Hongfu Li Wei 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,5:9
Geochemical research on C-O and Sr-Nd isotopes of mantle-derived rocks from Shandong Province, China显示文摘This paper presents systematic studies on the C-O and Sr-Nd isotopic compositions for Cretaceous Badou carbonatites, Fangcheng basalts, and Jiaodong lamprophyres and Paleozoic Mengyin kimberlites in Shandong Province, China. Paleozoic kimberlites have normal and uniform C-O isotopic compositions with δ13C and δ18O in the range of -4.8‰--7.6‰ and +9.9‰-+13.2‰, respectively. However, Cretaceous three different types of mantle-derived rocks have quite different C-O isotopic compositions, indicating that the mantle sources are probably partially contaminated with organic carbon-bearing crustal materials. These Cretaceous rocks show uniform and EMII-like Sr-Nd isotopic compositions and also indicate that the mantle sources were affected by recycled crustal materials. Comparative studies of C-O and Sr-Nd isotopes reveal that the lithospheric mantle beneath the eastern North China Craton had different isotope characteristics in the Paleozoic, the early Cretaceous, and the Tertiary time. This demonstrates that the lithospheric mantle beneath the region underwent at least twice reconstructions since the Paleozoic. Available data imply that the first reconstruction mainly happened during the Triassic-Jurassic time with gradual changes and the second in the Cretaceous with abrupt changes. Results also show that the early Cretaceous (especially at 120-130 Ma) was perhaps the key period leading to the dramatic change of the Mesozoic geodynamics on the eastern North China Craton.LIU Jianming, ZHANG Hongfu, SUN Jinggui & YE Jie1. 19Remaining useful life prognostics for aeroengine based on superstatistics and information fusion显示文摘Remaining useful life(RUL) prognostics is a fundamental premise to perform conditionbased maintenance(CBM) for a system subject to performance degradation. Over the past decades, research has been conducted in RUL prognostics for aeroengine. However, most of the prognostics technologies and methods simply base on single parameter, making it hard to demonstrate the specific characteristics of its degradation. To solve such problems, this paper proposes a novel approach to predict RUL by means of superstatistics and information fusion. The performance degradation evolution of the engine is modeled by fusing multiple monitoring parameters, which manifest non-stationary characteristics while degrading. With the obtained degradation curve, prognostics model can be established by state-space method, and then RUL can be estimated when the time-varying parameters of the model are predicted and updated through Kalman filtering algorithm. By this method, the non-stationary degradation of each parameter is represented, and multiple monitoring parameters are incorporated, both contributing to the final prognostics. A case study shows that this approach enables satisfactory prediction evolution and achieves a markedly better prognosis of RUL.Liu Junqiang Zhang Malan Zuo Hongfu Xie Jiwei 2014Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2014,27,5:8
Effects of ammonia exposure on carcass traits and fatty acid composition of broiler meat显示文摘We aimed to study the effects of ammonia on carcass traits, organ indices and fatty acid composition of broilers. Four hundred 21-d-old male Arbor Acres broilers with initial weight 563.52 ± 2.82 g were randomly allotted to 1 of 4 groups treated with ammonia at <3 mg/kg(control),25 ± 3. 50 ± 3, and75 ± 3 mg/kg concentrations. Each group consisted of 4 replicates of 25 birds. Broilers from 21 to 42 d were reared on the net floor in the respiration-metabolism chambers where similar environmental conditions were maintained. At 32 and 42 d of age, carcass traits and organ indices were determined for4 birds per pen. At 42 d of age, fatty acid composition in the breast and thigh muscle of broilers was measured. Results showed as follows: 1) At 32 d, the dressing percentage of broilers exposed to 25 and75 mg/kg ammonia were lower than those in the control group(P < 0.05); eviscerated yield percentage of broilers in the 25 mg/kg ammonia group was also lower(P < 0.05). At 42 d, the dressing percentage of broilers in the ammonia treatments and the thigh muscle percentage of broilers in the 50 and 75 mg/kg ammonia groups were lower(P < 0.05) than those in the control. Breast muscle percentage of broilers exposed to 25 and 50 mg/kg ammonia and eviscerated yield percentage exposed to 50 mg/kg ammonia were lower than those in the control(P < 0.05). 2) The kidney index of broilers(d 32) exposed to ammonia was greater(P < 0.05) than that of the control. At 42 d, hepatic index of broilers exposed to ammonia was increased(P < 0.05), and spleen index was decreased(P < 0.05). 3) At 42 d, stearic(C18:0)and saturated fatty acids(SFA) in the thigh muscle of broilers were higher, while the unsaturated fatty acid:saturated fatty acid(U:F) ratio and unsaturated fatty acid(UFA) were lower in the 50 mg/kg ammonia treatment than in the control group(P < 0.05). In conclusion, ammonia over 25 mg/kg could decline carcass traits and immune organ indices and increase the kidney and hepatic indices. Further, exposure to 50 mg/kg ammonia could also decrease breast and thigh muscle yield percentage while increasing SFA content and decreasing UFA content in the thigh muscle of broilers.Huan Xing Sujun Luan Yongbo Sun Renna Sa Hongfu Zhang 2016Animal Nutrition2016,,4:8
