Influence of Late Springtime Surface Sensible Heat Flux Anomalies over the Tibetan and Iranian Plateaus on the Location of the South Asian High in Early Summer显示文摘Variation in the location of the South Asian High(SAH) in early boreal summer is strongly influenced by elevated surface heating from the Tibetan Plateau(TP) and the Iranian Plateau(IP). Based on observational and ERA-Interim data, diagnostic analyses reveal that the interannual northwestward–southeastward(NW–SE) shift of the SAH in June is more closely correlated with the synergistic effect of concurrent surface thermal anomalies over the TP and IP than with each single surface thermal anomaly over either plateau from the preceding May. Concurrent surface thermal anomalies over these two plateaus in May are characterized by a negative correlation between sensible heat flux over most parts of the TP(TPSH)and IP(IPSH). This anomaly pattern can persist till June and influences the NW–SE shift of the SAH in June through the release of latent heat(LH) over northeastern India. When the IPSH is stronger(weaker) and the TPSH is weaker(stronger)than normal in May, an anomalous cyclone(anticyclone) appears over northern India at 850 hPa, which is accompanied by the ascent(descent) of air and anomalous convergence(divergence) of moisture flux in May and June. Therefore, the LH release over northeastern India is strengthened(weakened) and the vertical gradient of apparent heat source is decreased(increased)in the upper troposphere, which is responsible for the northwestward(southeastward) shift of the SAH in June. | Haoxin ZHANG Weiping LI Weijing LI | 2019 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2019,36,1: | 8
Isolation and Preliminary Identification of Broad-spectrum Bacteriocin-producing Lactobacillus Strain CW3显示文摘[Objective]This study aimed to screen and preliminarily identify Lactobacillus strain CW3. [Method]Oxford cup double-plate method was used for preliminary screening of broad-spectrum bacteriocin-producing Lactobacillus strain; after eliminating the interference of organic acid and hydrogen peroxide, antibacterial substances containing protein properties produced by the screened strain were detected; finally, the obtained strain was identified. [Result]After elimination of interference factors such as organic acid and hydrogen peroxide, the fermentation supernatant of strain CW3 could still inhibit the growth of indicator strains; the antibacterial activity of fermentation broth was significantly reduced after treatment with trypsase and pepsase, which indicated that the produced antibacterial substances were bacteriocins. Results of physiological and biochemical identification showed that strain CW3 belonged to Lactobacillus plantarum. [Conclusion]CW3is a broad-spectrum bacteriocin-producing Lactobacillus plantarum strain. | Haoxin LV Weidong WANG Zhongfang TAN Feifei YANG Yingchun JIAO Yanping WANG Zongwei LI | 2014 | Agricultural Biotechnology2014,3,1: | 2
Lysohexaenetides A and B,linear lipopeptides from Lysobacter sp.DSM 3655 identified by heterologous expression in Streptomyces显示文摘Lysobacter harbors a plethora of cryptic biosynthetic gene clusters(BGCs),albeit only a limited number have been analyzed to date.In this study,we described the activation of a cryptic polyketide synthase(PKS)/nonribosomal peptide synthetase(NRPS)gene cluster(lsh)in Lysobacter sp.DSM 3655 through promoter engineering and heterologous expression in Streptomyces sp.S001.As a result of this methodology,we were able to isolate two novel linear lipopeptides, lysohexaenetides A(1)and B(2),from the recombinant strain S001-lsh.Furthermore,we proposed the biosynthetic pathway for lysohexaenetides and identified LshA as another example of entirely iterative bacterial PKSs.This study highlights the potential of heterologous expression systems in uncovering cryptic biosynthetic pathways in Lysobacter genomes, particularly in the absence of genetic manipulation tools. | XU Qiushuang ZOU Haochen PAN Chen WANG Haoxin SHEN Yuemao LI Yaoyao | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2023,21,6: | 1
Properties of Bamboo Charcoal and Cement-based Composite Materials and Their Microstructure显示文摘The objective of this work was to study the properties of bamboo charcoal and cement-based composite materials and their microstructure. The pastes with various bamboo charcoals were prepared and the relative properties such as setting times and strength were tested and the microstructures and pore characteristics of pastes with various bamboos were also studied. The experimental results indicated that bamboo charcoal affects the setting times of cement paste, but the introduction of water reducer relieves this condition. Bamboo charcoal also poses an impact on the hardened paste strength. The prominent strength decrease is found when more and larger size bamboo charcoal is mixed into the cement paste. Bamboo charcoal alters the paste microstructure and increases the porosity and pore volume, but it increases the pores with the diameter of less than 50 μm. The pastes with various bamboo charcoals are given with the good functions such as adjusting humidity and adsorption. | 王中平 LI Haoxin 蒋正武 CHEN Qing | 2017 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2017,32,6: | 1

Climate change and water security in the northern slope of the Tianshan Mountains显示文摘Water security is under threat worldwide from climate change. A warming climate would accelerate evaporationand cryosphere melting, leading to reduced water availability and unpredictable water supply. However, thewater crisis in the Northern Slope of Tianshan Mountains(NSTM) faces dual challenges because water demandsforfast-growing urban areas have put heavy pressure on water resources. The mountain-oasis-desert system featuresglacier-fed rivers that sustain intensive water use in the oasis and end in the desert as fragile terminal lakes. The complex balance between water conservation and economic development is subtle. This paper investigateschanges in hydroclimatic variables and water security-related issues on the NSTM. The spatiotemporal variationsin glaciers, climatic variables, rivers, lakes and reservoirs, groundwater, surface water, human water use, andstreamflow were analyzed for the past four decades. The results show that temperature in the NSTM exhibitedan apparent upward trend with a more significant warming rate in the higher altitude regions. Glacier massloss and shrinkage was strong. The average annual streamflow increased from 1980-1989 to 2006–2011 at mosthydrological stations. The monthly dynamics of surface water area showed notable variability at both inter-annual and seasonal scales, revealing the impacts of both natural and anthropogenic drivers on surface wateravailability in the region. The terrestrial water storage anomaly showed a decreasing trend, which might berelated to groundwater pumping for irrigation. Human water use for agriculture and industry grew with theincrease in cultivated land area and gross domestic product (GDP). The increased agricultural water use wasstrongly associated with the expansion of oases. It is unclear whether water availability would remain high underfuture climatic and hydrological uncertainties, posing challenges to water management. In the context of rapidurban growth and climate change, balancing water for humans and nature is vital in achieving the SustainableDevelopment Goals (SDGs) in NSTM. This study provides a baseline understanding of the interplay among water, climate change, and socio-economic development in NSTM. It would also shed light on wise water managementunder environmental changes for other rapidly developing mountain-oasis-desert systems worldwide. | Qiuhong Tang Xingcai Liu Yuanyuan Zhou Puyu Wang Zhongqin Li Zhixin Hao Suxia Liu Gang Zhao Bingqi Zhu Xinlin He Fadong Li Guang Yang Li He Haoxin Deng Zongxia Wang Xiang Ao Zhi Wang Paul P.J.Gaffney Lifeng Luo | 2022 | Geography and Sustainability2022,3,3: | 1
Weakly supervised action anticipation without object annotations显示文摘Anticipating future actions without observing any partial videos of future actions plays an important role in action prediction and is also a challenging task.To obtain abundant information for action anticipation, some methods integrate multimodal contexts, including scene object labels. However, extensively labelling each frame in video datasets requires considerable effort. In this paper,we develop a weakly supervised method that integrates global motion and local finegrained features from current action videos to predict next action label without the need for specific scene context labels.Specifically,we extract diverse types of local features with weakly supervised learning, including object appearance and human pose representations without ground truth. Moreover,we construct a graph convolutional network for exploiting the inherent relationships of humans and objects under present incidents. We evaluate the proposed model on two datasets, the MPII-Cooking dataset and the EPIC-Kitchens dataset, and we demonstrate the generalizability and effectiveness of our approach for action anticipation. | Yi ZHONG Jia-Hui PAN Haoxin LI Wei-Shi ZHENG | 2023 | Frontiers of Computer Science2023,17,2: | 0
The Warm Arctic-Cold Eurasia Pattern and Its Key Region in Winter in CMIP6 Model Simulations显示文摘An enhanced Warm Arctic-Cold Eurasia(WACE)pattern has been a notable feature in recent winters of the Northern Hemisphere. However, divergent results between model and observational studies of the WACE still remain. This study evaluates the performance of 39 climate models participating in the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6(CMIP6)in simulating the WACE pattern in winter of 1980-2014 and explores the key factors causing the differences in the simulation capability among the models. The results show that the multimodel ensemble(MME)can better simulate the spatial distribution of the WACE pattern than most single models.Models that can/cannot simulate both the climatology and the standard deviation of the Eurasian winter surface air temperature well, especially the latter, usually can/cannot simulate the WACE pattern well. This mainly results from the different abilities of the models to simulate the range and intensity of the warm anomaly in the Barents Sea-Kara seas(BKS)region.Further analysis shows that a good performance of the models in the BKS area is usually related to their ability to simulate location and persistence of Ural blocking(UB),which can transport heat to the BKS region, causing the warm Arctic, and strengthen the westerly trough downstream, cooling central Eurasia. Therefore, simulation of UB is key and significantly affects the model’s performance in simulating the WACE. | Liang ZHAO Yunwen LIU Yihui DING Qingquan LI Wei DONG Xinyong SHEN Wei CHENG Haoxin YAO Ziniu XIAO | 2023 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,12: | 0

Simulation of Ultrasonic Propagation in Transformers within Thermal Fields and Intelligent Methodology for Hot-spot Temperature Recognition显示文摘Hot-spot temperature of transformer windings is a crucial indicator of internal defects. However, current methods for measuring the hot-spot temperature of transformers do not apply to those already in operation and suffer from data lag. This study introduces a novel inversion method that combines ultrasonic sensing technology, multiphysics simulation, and the K-nearest neighbors algorithm.Leveraging the penetrative ability and temperature sensitivity of ultrasonic sensing,a detailed physical field simulation model was established. This study extensively investigates the characteristics of ultrasonic wave signals inside transformers. The investigation includes different temperature fields, ranging from 40℃ to 110℃ at 10℃ intervals, and various ultrasonic wave emitter conditions.By extracting the key features of the acoustic signals, such as the peak time, propagation time, and peak amplitude,an accurate inversion of the winding hot-spot temperature is successfully achieved. The results demonstrate that this method achieves a high accuracy rate(98.57%)in inverting the internal winding hot-spot temperatures of transformers, offering an efficient and reliable new approach for measuring winding hot-spot temperatures. | Dongxin He Dechao Yang Xinhua Guo Jiefeng Liu Haoxin Guo Qingquan Li Gilbert Teyssedre | 2024 | Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering2024,10,1: | 0
Discovery of novel exceptionally potent and orally active c-MET PROTACs for the treatment of tumors with MET alterations显示文摘Various c-mesenchymal-to-epithelial transition(c-MET) inhibitors are effective in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer;however, the inevitable drug resistance remains a challenge, limiting their clinical efficacy. Therefore, novel strategies targeting c-MET are urgently required. Herein, through rational structure optimization, we obtained novel exceptionally potent and orally active c-MET proteolysis targeting chimeras(PROTACs) namely D10 and D15 based on thalidomide and tepotinib. D10 and D15 inhibited cell growth with low nanomolar IC_(50) values and achieved picomolar DC_(50) values and>99% of maximum degradation(D_(max)) in EBC-1 and Hs746T cells. Mechanistically, D10 and D15dramatically induced cell apoptosis, G1 cell cycle arrest and inhibited cell migration and invasion.Notably, intraperitoneal administration of D10 and D15 significantly inhibited tumor growth in the EBC-1 xenograft model and oral administration of D15 induced approximately complete tumor suppression in the Hs746T xenograft model with well-tolerated dose-schedules. Furthermore, D10 and D15 exerted significant anti-tumor effect in cells with c-MET^(Y1230H) and c-MET^(D1228N) mutations, which are resistant to tepotinib in clinic. These findings demonstrated that D10 and D15 could serve as candidates for the treatment of tumors with MET alterations. | Pengyun Li Changkai Jia Zhiya Fan Xiaotong Hu Wenjuan Zhang Ke Liu Shiyang Sun Haoxin Guo Ning Yang Maoxiang Zhu Xiaomei Zhuang Junhai Xiao Zhibing Zheng Song Li | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,6: | 0
Main environmental drivers of abundance, diversity and community structure of comammox Nitrospira in paddy soils显示文摘The recently discovered complete ammonia oxidizers comammox Nitrospira contain clades A and B that can establish an independent one-step nitrification process;however, little is known about their environmental drivers or habitat distributions in agricultural soils.Previous studies on comammox Nitrospira in paddy soils have mainly focused on small-scale samples, and there is a lack of multisite research on comammox Nitrospira in paddy soils. In this study,we conducted a survey of 36 paddy soils to understand the community structure, abundance, and diversity of comammox Nitrospira and the degree to which they are affected by environmental factors at a large scale.Comammox Nitrospira were found to be widely distributed among the paddy soils. The abundance of comammox Nitrospira clade A was mostly lower than that of clade B,whereas its diversity was mostly higher than that of clade B.Correlation analysis showed that multiple factors affected(P<0.05)the abundance of comammox Nitrospira, including soil pH,organic matter, total carbon, and total nitrogen, latitude, mean annual temperature, and mean annual precipitation. Moreover, there was a clear relationship between the comammox Nitrospira community and habitat, indicating that some amplicon sequence variants(ASVs)had a unique dominant position in specific habitats.Phylogenetic analysis showed that the ASVs of comammox Nitrospira clade A clustered with the known sequences in the paddy soils and were significantly different from the known sequences in other habitats, which may be related to the unique paddy field habitat. In contrast, comammox Nitrospira clade B showed no clear habitat dependence. These results support the wide distribution and high abundance of comammox Nitrospira in paddy soils and provide novel insights into nitrogen cycling and nutrient management in agricultural ecosystems. | Fuyun GAO Yaying LI Haoxin FAN Jiantao XUE Huaiying YAO | 2023 | Pedosphere2023,33,5: | 0
Effect of Waste Paper Fiber on Properties of Cementbased Mortar and Relative Mechanism显示文摘The aim of this work was to investigate the effect of waste paper fiber on the properties of cement-based mortar and the relative mechanism. The cement-based mortars with various contents and mixing way of waste paper fibers were prepared and the slump flow, setting time and strength developments of all mortars were tested. Besides, Ca(OH)_2 content in hardened pastes at different ages and the microstructures of all mortar at 90 d were observed by scanning electron microscopy. The experimental results showed that in the process of mixing, more superplastizier was consumed to maintain the workability because of the absorption of water and superplastizer on waste paper fiber. With more waste paper fiber being added, longer setting time is available for the pastes with it because of the carbohydrate dissolving and its retarding to the cement hydration. Waste paper fiber is adverse to the early and later strength of cement-based mortar, but it increases the mortar strengths at 7 and 28 d. The strength, Ca(OH)_2 content and microstructure are related to the content and mixing way of waste paper fiber. Waste paper fiber helps produce the Ca(OH)_2 at 7 and 28 d, but this case is reverse at ages of 1 and 3 d. Overall, waste paper fiber leads to the appearance of more pores in the hardened paste. However, it increases the toughness of cement-based mortar. | 王中平 li haoxin 蒋正武 chen qi | 2018 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2018,33,2: | 0
