| 1 | Genome Characteristics and Evolution of Pseudorabies Virus Strains in Eastern China from 2017 to 2019显示文摘Since late 2011,outbreaks of pseudorabies virus(PRV)have occurred in southern China causing major economic losses to the pig industry.We previously reported that variant PRV forms and recombination in China could be the source of continued epidemics.Here,we analyzed samples from intensive pig farms in eastern China between 2017 and 2019,and sequenced the main glycoproteins(gB,gC,gD,and gE)to study the evolution characteristics of PRV.Based on the gC gene,we found that PRV variants belong to clade 2 and detected a founder effect during by the PRV epidemic.In addition,we detected inter-and intra-clade recombination;in particular,inter-clade recombination in the gB genes of strains FJ-ZXF and FJ-W2,which were recombinant with clade 1 strains.We also found specific amino-acid changes and positively selected sites,possibly associated with functional changes.This analysis of the emergence of PRV in China illustrates the need for continuous monitoring and the development of vaccines against specific variants of PRV. | Xiaofeng Zhai Wen Zhao Kemang Li Cheng Zhang Congcong Wang Shuo Su Jiyong Zhou Jing Lei Gang Xing Haifeng Sun Zhiyu Shi Jinyan Gu | 2019 | Virologica Sinica2019,34,6: | 12 |
| 2 | Thiol-stabilized atomically precise, superatomic silver nanoparticles for catalysing cycloisomerization of alkynyl amines显示文摘Both the electronic and surface structures of metal nanomaterials play critical roles in determining their chemical properties. However, the non-molecular nature of conventional nanoparticles makes it extremely challenging to understand the molecular mechanism behind many of their unique electronic and surface properties. In this work, we report the synthesis, molecular and electronic structures of an atomically precise nanoparticle, [Ag206 L72]~q(L = thiolate, halide; q = charge). With a four-shell Ag7@Ag32@Ag77@Ag90 Ino-decahedral structure having a nearly perfect D_(5h) symmetry, the metal core of the nanoparticle is co-stabilized by 68 thiolate and 4 halide ligands. Both electrochemistry and plasmonic absorption reveal the metallic nature of the nanoparticles, which is explained by density functional theory calculations.Electronically, the nanoparticle can be considered as a superatom, just short of a major electron shell closing of 138 electrons(q = –4). More importantly, many of ligands capping on the nanoparticle are labile due to their low-coordination modes, leading to high surface reactivity for catalysing the synthesis of indoles from 2-ethynylaniline derivatives. | 5 | Aberrant expression of BDNF might serve as a candidate target for cocaine- induced psychosis: insights from bioinformatics analysis and microarray validation显示文摘Background Cocaine use disorder(CUD)and associated psychosis are major public health issues worldwide,along with high relapse outcome and limited treatment options.Exploring the molecular mechanisms underlying cocaine-induced psychosis(CIP)could supply integrated insights for understanding the pathogenic mechanism and potential novel therapeutic targets.Aims The aim of the study was to explore common alterations of CUD-schizophrenia target genes and identify core risk genes contributing to CIP through data mining and network pharmacology approach.Methods Target genes of CUD were obtained from GeneCards,Comparative Toxicogenomics Database,Swiss Target Prediction platform and PubChem.Schizophrenia-related target genes were derived from DisGeNET,GeneCards,MalaCards and Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man databases.Then,the overlap genes of these two sets were regarded as risk genes contributing to CIP.Based on these CUD-schizophrenia target genes,functional annotation and pathway analysis were performed using the clusterProfiler package in R.Protein-protein interaction network construction and module detection were performed based on the Search Tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes(STRING)database and Cytoscape software.Gene expression datasets GSE54839 and GSE93577 were applied for data validation and diagnostic capacity evaluation of interested hub genes.Results A total of 165 CUD-schizophrenia target genes were obtained.These genes were mainly contributing to chemical synaptic transmission,neuropeptide hormone activity,postsynaptic membrane and neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction pathway.Network analysis and validation analysis indicated that BDNF might serve as an important risk gene in mediating CIP.Conclusions This study generates a holistic view of CIP and provides a basis for the identification of potential CUD-schizophrenia target genes involved in the development of CIP.The abnormal expression of BDNF would be a candidate therapeutic target underlying the pathogenesis of CUD and associated CIP. | Youwei Zhu Yan Zhao Xiaomin Xu Hang Su Xiaotong Li Na Zhong Haifeng Jiang Jiang Du Min Zhao | 2021 | General Psychiatry2021,34,5: | 2 |

| 8 | Selective potassium uptake via biocompatible zeolite–polymer hybrid microbeads as promising binders for hyperkalemia显示文摘Patients with chronic kidney disease are at high risk of hyperkalemia that is associated with various lifethreatening complications.Treatments primarily rely on orally administered potassium binding agents,along with low curative effects and various side effects.Herein,direct serum potassium uptake was realized via zeolite–heparin-mimicking-polymer hybrid microbeads.The preparation process involved the synthesis of the heparin-mimicking polymer via the in situ cross-linking polymerization of acrylic acid and N-vinylpyrrolidone in polyethersulfone solution,the fabrication of microbeads via zeolite-mixing,electro-spraying and phase-inversion,and the subsequent aqueous-phase modifications based on ion-exchange and metal-leaching.An ultra-high(about 88%)amount of zeolite could be incorporated and well locked inside the polymer matrix.Potassium uptake capability was verified in water,normal saline and human serum,showing high selectivity and fast adsorption.The microbeads exhibited satisfying blood compatibility,negligible hemolysis ratio,prolonged clotting time,inhibited contact activation,and enhanced antifouling property toward serum proteins and cells.The proposed approach toward zeolite–heparin-mimicking-polymer hybrid microbeads provided a cheap,efficient and safe treatment protocol of hyperkalemia for the high-risk patients. | Zhoujun Wang Wei Sun Zhiwei Wei Jianxu Bao Xin Song Yupei Li Haifeng Ji Jue Zhang Chao He Baihai Su Weifeng Zhao Changsheng Zhao | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,2: | 2 |
