| 1 | Soil Organic Matter Mapping by Decision Tree Modeling显示文摘Based on a case study of Longyou County, Zhejiang Province, the decision tree, a data mining method, was used to analyze the relationships between soil organic matter (SOM) and other environmental and satellite sensing spatial data.The decision tree associated SOM content with some extensive easily observable landscape attributes, such as landform,geology, land use, and remote sensing images, thus transforming the SOM-related information into a clear, quantitative,landscape factor-associated regular system. This system could be used to predict continuous SOM spatial distribution.By analyzing factors such as elevation, geological unit, soil type, land use, remotely sensed data, upslope contributing area, slope, aspect, planform curvature, and profile curvature, the decision tree could predict distribution of soil organic matter levels. Among these factors, elevation, land use, aspect, soil type, the first principle component of bitemporal Landsat TM, and upslope contributing area were considered the most important variables for predicting SOM. | 6 | Damage to Hepatic Thyroxine 5'-Deiodination Induced by Pathogenic Factors of Keshan Disease and the Preventive Effects of Selenium and Vitamin E显示文摘Experiments were performed to investigate the change of hepatic T_4 5'-deiodination and the preventive effects of selenium (Se) and vitamin E in rats fed grains from a Keshan disease (KD) endemic area. The results showed that consumption of the endemic grain for 8 weeks caused a significant reduction in hepatic T_4 5'-monodeiodinase and glutathione peroxidase activities, and a marked enhancement of hepatic malondialdehyde content. These changes could be effectively prevented through Se or vitamin E supplementation to the diet. These observations confirm the reduced ability of hepatic T_4 5'-deiodination induced by the pathogenic factors existing in the endemic grains, and the preventive effects of selenium and vitamin E on the alterations. | 8 | Tensor Interaction Effect in Dibaryon显示文摘The gluon and Goldstone boson induced tensor interaction effect on the dibaryon mass and the D-wave decay width has been studied in the quark delocalization, color screening model. The effective S-D wave transition interactions induced by gluon and Goldstone boson exchanges decrease quickly as the increasing of the channel strangeness. The K and η meson tensor contribution is negligible in this model. No six-quark state in the light flavor world can become a bound one by the help of these tensor interactions except the deuteron. The partial D-wave decay width of Ijp = 1/2 2+NΩ state to spin 0, 1 ∧([1]) final state is 20.7 keV and 63.1 keV respectively. | 10 | Vitamin E Requirement of Rats Fed on a Diet Containing Grains from the Endemic Region of Keshan Disease显示文摘Keshan disease(KD)is an endemic cardiomyopathy occurring in China.Combined selenium and vitamin E(VE)deficiency might be involved in the development of KD.It was shown in this paper that addition of 20 and 100mg/kg DL-α-tocopherol tended to decrease malondialdehyde(MDA)content of myocardium in the rats receiving the low selenium(0.013pm)grains rom the endemic region of KD,but not to a statistcally significant extent.And addition of 200mg/kg DL-α-tocopherol signifcantly decreased the myocardial MDA content,which suggested that VE requirement of the rats receiving KD endemic grains was 200mg/kg DL-α-tocopherol.However,the MDA content in the myocardium of rats receiving KD grains added with 100mg/kg DL-α-tocopherol was significantly decreased when selenium(0.1ppm)was supplemented,which suggested that ve requirement of these rats was decreased to 100mg/kg DL-α-tocopherol in the presence of selenium.The ability of VE in counteracting free radicals in myocardium of rats appeared greater than that of selemium. | YANGQING WANGFAN | 1993 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences1993,6,2: | 0 |
| 11 | Effect of Sodium Nitrite on Myocardial Glutathione Peroxidase and Protective Action of Vitamin E and Selenium显示文摘Under the condition of acute NaNO_2 poisoning, the changes of myocardial GSH-Px activity of rats fed a diet composed of grains grown in the endemic region of Keshan disease and the same diet with supplementation of vitamin E or selenium were investigated. By gavage of toxic doses of NaNO_2, the myocardial GSH-Px was significantly reduced (P<0.05). Vitamin E or selenium supplementation protected the enzyme activity from reducing.
