3Multi-omics analyses of 398 foxtail millet accessions reveal genomic regions associated with domestication,metabolite traits,and antiinflammatory effects显示文摘Foxtail millet(Setaria italica),which was domesticatedfromthewild speciesgreenfoxtail(Setaria viridis),isa richsource of phytonutrientsfor humans.To evaluate how breeding changed themetabolome offoxtail millet grains,we generated and analyzed the datasets encompassing the genomes,transcriptomes,metabolomes,and anti-inflammatory indices from 398 foxtail millet accessions.We identified hundreds of common variants that influence numerous secondary metabolites.We observed tremendous differences in natural variations of the metabolites and their underlying genetic architectures between distinct sub-groups of foxtail millet.Furthermore,we found that the selection of the gene alleles associated with yellow grains led to altered profiles of metabolites such as carotenoids and endogenous phytohormones.Using CRiSPR-mediated genome editing wevalidated the function of PHYTOENE SYNTHASE1(PSY1)gene in affecting milletgrain colorand quality.Interestingly,our in vitro cell inflammation assays showed that 83 metabolites in millet grains have anti-inflammatory effects.Taken together,ourmulti-omics study illustrates how the breeding history of foxtail millet has shaped its metabolite profile.The datasets we generated in this study also provide important resources for further understanding how millet grain quality is affected by different metabolites,laying the foundations for future millet genetic research and metabolome-assisted improvement.Xukai Li Jianhua Gao Jingyi Song Kai Guo Siyu Hou Xingchun Wang Qiang He Yanyan Zhang Yakun Zhang Yulu Yang Jiaoyan Tang Hailang Wang Staffan Persson Mingquan Huang Lishuai Xu Linlin Zhong Dongqin Li Yongming Liu Hua Wu Xianmin Diao Peng Chen Xiaowen Wang Yuanhuai Han 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,8:8
4Comparative analysis between endometrial proteomes of pregnant and non-pregnant ewes during the peri-implantation period显示文摘Background:Early pregnancy failure has a profound impact on both human reproductive health and animal production.2/3 pregnancy failures occur during the peri-implantation period;however,the underlying mechanism(s)remains unclear.Well-organized modification of the endometrium to a receptive state is critical to establish pregnancy.Aberrant endometrial modification during implantation is thought to be largely responsible for early pregnancy loss.Result:In this study,using well-managed recipient ewes that received embryo transfer as model,we compared the endometrial proteome between pregnant and non-pregnant ewes during implantation period.After embryo transfer,recipients were assigned as pregnant or non-pregnant ewes according to the presence or absence of an elongated conceptus at Day 17 of pregnancy.By comparing the endometrial proteomic profiles between pregnant and non-pregnant ewes,we identified 94 and 257 differentially expressed proteins(DEPs) in the endometrial caruncular and intercaruncular areas,respectively.Functional analysis showed that the DEPs were mainly associated with immune response,nutrient transport and utilization,as well as proteasome-mediated proteolysis.Conclusion:These analysis imply that dysfunction of these biological processes or pathways of DEP in the endometrium is highly associated with early pregnancy loss.In addition,many proteins that are essential for the establishment of pregnancy showed dysregulation in the endometrium of non-pregnant ewes.These proteins,as potential candidates,may contribute to early pregnancy loss.Haichao Zhao Linlin Sui Kai Miao Lei An Dong Wang Zhuocheng Hou Rui Wang Min Guo Zhilong Wang Jiqiang Xu Zhonghong Wu Jianhui Tian 2015Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2015,6,3:8

6Fuel design real-time to control HCCI combustion显示文摘In order to achieve lower emissions and extensive load in the homogeneous charge com- pression ignition (HCCI) engine system, a novel fuel design concept that high-octane number fuel and high-cetane number fuel are mixed real-time to con- trol HCCI combustion is proposed in this study. HCCI combustion fueled with iso-octane/n-heptane mix- tures controlled real-time on a single-cylinder HCCI combustion engine is studied. The test results show that the equivalence ratio of n-heptane in mixtures decides ignition and controls the combustion phase of HCCI combustion. The addition of iso-octane ex- tends knocking limit in equivalence ratio somewhat, but knocking occurrence mainly depends on the total concentration of mixture. Although operating range in equivalence ratio becomes narrow with the increas- ing proportion of iso-octane, the maximum load of HCCI combustion fueled with iso-octane/n-heptane mixtures controlled real-time is increased about 80% more than that of pure n-heptane. 9Adaptive candidate estimation-assisted multi-objective particle swarm optimization显示文摘The selection of global best(Gbest) exerts a high influence on the searching performance of multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm(MOPSO). The candidates of MOPSO in external archive are always estimated to select Gbest. However,in most estimation methods, the candidates are considered as the Gbest in a fixed way, which is difficult to adapt to varying evolutionary requirements for balance between convergence and diversity of MOPSO. To deal with this problem, an adaptive candidate estimation-assisted MOPSO(ACE-MOPSO) is proposed in this paper. First, the evolutionary state information,including both the global dominance information and global distribution information of non-dominated solutions, is introduced to describe the evolutionary states to extract the evolutionary requirements. Second, an adaptive candidate estimation method,based on two evaluation distances, is developed to select the excellent leader for balancing convergence and diversity during the dynamic evolutionary process. Third, a leader mutation strategy, using the elite local search(ELS), is devised to select Gbest to improve the searching ability of ACE-MOPSO. Fourth, the convergence analysis is given to prove the theoretical validity of ACE-MOPSO. Finally, this proposed algorithm is compared with popular algorithms on twenty-four benchmark functions. 10Comparative population genomics dissects the genetic basis of seven domestication traits in jujube显示文摘Jujube(Ziziphus jujuba Mill.)is an important perennial fruit tree with a range of interesting horticultural traits.It was domesticated from wild jujube(Ziziphus acidojujuba),but the genomic variation dynamics and genetic changes underlying its horticultural traits during domestication are poorly understood.Here,we report a comprehensive genome variation map based on the resequencing of 350 accessions,including wild,semi-wild and cultivated jujube plants,at a>15×depth.Using the combination of a genome-wide association study(GWAS)and selective sweep analysis,we identified several candidate genes potentially involved in regulating seven domestication traits in jujube.For fruit shape and kernel shape,we integrated the GWAS approach with transcriptome profiling data,expression analysis and the transgenic validation of a candidate gene to identify a causal gene,ZjFS3,which encodes an ethyleneresponsive transcription factor.Similarly,we identified a candidate gene for bearing-shoot length and the number of leaves per bearing shoot and two candidate genes for the seed-setting rate using GWAS.In the selective sweep analysis,we also discovered several putative genes for the presence of prickles on bearing shoots and the postharvest shelf life of fleshy fruits.This study outlines the genetic basis of jujube domestication and evolution and provides a rich genomic resource for mining other horticulturally important genes in jujube.Mingxin Guo Zhongren Zhang Yanwei Cheng Sunan Li Peiyin Shao Qiang Yu Junjie Wang Gan Xu Xiaotian Zhang Jiajia Liu Linlin Hou Hanxiao Liu Xusheng Zhao 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:2
11A stable and efficient La-doped MIL-53(Al)/ZnO photocatalyst for sulfamethazine degradation显示文摘Photocatalytic technology can solve various environmental pollution problems,especially antibiotic pollution.A novel La-doped MIL-53(Al)/ZnO composite material was successfully synthesized by a combination of hydrothermal method and calcination,showing high photocatalytic degradation percent of sulfamethazine(SMT).The 2 mol%La MIL-53(Al)/ZnO photocatalyst shows the highest degradation efficiency toward SMT(92%)within 120 min,which is 4.1 times higher than pure ZnO(increased from 18%to 92%).In addition,the degradation analysis of SMT by high performance liquid chromatography proves that the products are CO_(2) and H_(2)O.The improved photocatalytic activity is mostly caused by the following factors.(1)Doping La ions can decrease the band gap of ZnO,enhance light response,and effectively enhance the separation rate of photo-generated holes and electrons.(2)MIL-53(Al)can adsorb SMT and promote the separation of electron.This work shows that the synthesized La-doped MIL-53(Al)/ZnO photocatalyst is expected to be used as a green and effective method for treatment of environment water pollution.Qiuming Wei Wei Li Chun Jin Yasi Chen Linlin Hou Zhiliang Wu Zhongliang Pan Qinyu He Yinzhen Wang Dingyuan Tang 2022Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,4:2

14Estimation of Fracture Geometry Parameters and Characterization of Rock Mass Structure for the Beishan Area,China显示文摘The accurate estimation of fracture geometry parameters and the characterization of rock mass structure are two important topics in the geological disposal system of high-level radioactive waste(HLW).The Beishan area,as the current preselected area for China’s HLW disposal,has three subareas considered to be the key survey area at the stage of site selection.In this paper,a comprehensive survey method conducted on the outcrop is developed to estimate fracture geometry parameters.Results show that fracture occurrence obeys a Fisher distribution,fracture trace length obeys a normal distribution,and the distribution of spacing obeys a negative exponential distribution.An evaluation index,Rock Mass Structure Rating(RMSR),is proposed to characterize rock mass structure for the three subareas.The results show that the Xinchang area is more suitable to act as China’s HLW disposal repository site.At the same time,the index can also be applied to characterize surface rock mass structure and rock mass integrity at the site selection phase of HLW disposal.WEI Xiang GUO Ying CHENG Hanlie WEI Jianfei ZHANG Linlin HUO Liang HOU Zhenkun 2020Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,5:1

16Vancomycin pretreatment attenuates acetaminophen-induced liver injury through 2-hydroxybutyric acid显示文摘Liver injury caused by acetaminophen(AP)overdose is a leading public health problem.Although APinduced liver injury is well recognized as the formation of N-acetyl-p-benzoquinone(NAPQI),a toxic metabolite of AP,resulting in cell damage,emerging evidence indicates that AP-induced liver injury is also associated with gut microbiota.However,the gut microbiota-involved mechanism remains largely unknown.In our study,we found that vancomycin(Vac)pretreatment(100 mg/kg,twice a day for 4 days)attenuated AP-induced liver injury,altered the composition of gut microbiota,and changed serum metabolic profile.Moreover,we identified Vac pretreatment elevated cecum and serum 2-hydroxybutyric acid(2-HB),which ameliorated AP-induced cell damage and liver injury in mice by reducing AP bioavailability and elevating GSH levels.Our current results revealed the novel role of 2-HB in protecting AP-induced liver injury and add new evidence for gut microbiota in affecting AP toxicity.Ningning Zheng Yu Gu Ying Hong Lili Sheng Linlin Chen Feng Zhang Jie Hou Weidong Zhang Zean Zhang Wei Jia Houkai Li 2020Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2020,10,6:1

20Okra‑Like Multichannel TiO@NC Fibers Membrane with Spatial and Chemical Restriction on Shuttle‑Effect for Lithium–Sulfur Batteries显示文摘It is especially important to coordinately design the structure and composition of the host in lithium–sulfur batteries(LSBs)for improving its physicochemical adsorption and conversion of lithium polysulfide,which can alleviate the harmful shuttle effect.Herein,a self-supporting multichannel nitrogen-doped carbon fibers membrane embedded with TiO nanoparticles(TiO@NC)was constructed as the electrode for LSBs.The inner channels and the embedded TiO nanoparticles offer spatial confinement and chemical binding for polysulfides,respectively.Moreover,the TiO nanoparticles have abundant oxygen vacancies that promote the conversion of polysulfides.In addition,the nitrogen-doped carbon skeleton can not only serve as highly conductive transportation paths for electrons,but also integrate with the inner channels to sustain the morphology and bear volume expansion during cycling processes.Therefore,the fabricated self-supporting quadruple-channel TiO@NC ultrathin fibers electrode exhibits a high initial specific capacity of 1342.8 mAh g^(-1)at 0.5 C and high-rate capability of 505.8 mAh g^(-1)at 4.0 C.In addition,it maintains 696.0 mAh g^(-1)over 500 cycles with only 0.059%capacity decay per cycle at the high current density of 2.0 C.The multichannel configuration combined with TiO nanoparticles provides a synergetic design strategy for fabricating high-performance electrodes in LSBs.Shuai Li Jingchong Liu Linlin Ma Li‑Juan Yu Lanlan Hou Dianming Li Songwei Gao Guichu Yue Zhimin Cui NüWang Xiaoxian Zhao Yong Zhao 2023Advanced Fiber Materials2023,5,1:1
