| 3 | InvesInvestigation of the Effects of Airfoil-probes on the Aerodynamic Performance of an Axial Compressor显示文摘In order to investigate the effects of the airfoil-probes on the aerodynamic performance of an axial compressor,a numerical simulation of 3D flow field is performed in a 1.5-stage axial compressor with airfoil-probes installed at the stator leading-edge(LE).The airfoil-probes have a negative influence on the compressor aerodynamic performance at all operating points.A streamwise vortex is induced by the airfoil-probe along both sides of the blade.At the mid-operating point,the vortex is notable along the pressure side and is relatively small along the suction side(SS).At the near-stall point,the vortex is slightly suppressed in the pressure surface(PS),but becomes remarkable in the suction side.A small local-separation is induced by the interactions between the vortex and the end-wall boundary layer in the corner region near the hub.That the positive pitch angle of the airfoil-probe at 6.5% span is about 15° plays an important role in the vortex evolution near the hub,which causes the fact that the airfoil-probe near the hub has the largest effects among the four airfoil-probes.In order to get a further understanding of the vortex evolution in the stator in the numerical simulation,a flow visualization experiment in a water tunnel is performed.The flow visualization results give a deep insight into the evolution of the vortex induced by the airfoil-probe. | HE Xiang MA Hongwei REN Minglin XIANG Honghui | 2012 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2012,25,4: | 8 |
| 4 | Interconnected carbon nanocapsules with high N/S co-doping as stable and high-capacity potassium-ion battery anode显示文摘Carbonaceous materials have drawn much attention in potassium-ion batteries (PIBs) due to their low price and superior physicochemical properties. However, the application of carbonaceous materials in PIB anodes is hindered by sluggish kinetics and large volume expansion. Herein, N/S co-doped carbon nanocapsule (NSCN) is constructed for superior K+ storage. The NSCN possesses 3D nanocapsule framework with abundant meso/macropores, which guarantees structural robustness and accelerates ions/electrons transportation. The high-level N/S co-doping in carbon matrix not only generates ample defects and active sites for K+ adsorption, but also expands interlayer distance for facile K+ intercalation/deintercalation. As a result, the NSCN electrode delivers a high reversible capacity (408 mAh g^(−1) at 0.05 A g^(−1)), outstanding rate capability (149 mAh g^(−1) at 5 A g^(−1)) and favorable cycle stability (150m Ah g^(−1) at 2 A g^(−1) after 2000 cycles). Ex situ TEM, Raman and XPS measurements demonstrate the excellent stability and reversibility of NSCN electrode during potassiation/depotassiation process. | 8 | Methodology for fish biodiversity monitoring with environmental DNA metabarcoding:The primers,databases and bioinformatic pipelines显示文摘Environmental DNA(eDNA)originates from cellular material shed by organisms into aquatic or terrestrial environments and can be sampled and monitored using metabarcoding technology,which is revolutionizing fish biodiversity monitoring.Several reviews concerning fish eDNA have focused on standard sampling methods and its applications,though a systematic review focused on marker genes,databases,and bioinformatic pipelines has not yet been published.Here,we present a comprehensive literature review of studies applying metabarcoding technology to fish eDNA for the purpose of fish biodiversity monitoring.We systematically provide the available universal primers used to amplify barcoding sequences from fish eDNA,and then discuss reference barcoding databases,relevant bioinformatic analyses,as well as developed pipelines.The performances of universal primers and their relevant reference databases are summarized.Combined use of multiple primer pairs targeted for more than one gene marker(e.g.,12S,16S,Cytb,COI),and use of both local and public databases are recommended as approaches to improve the sensitivity and reliability of fish eDNA analyses.We also compare the effectiveness of eDNA metabarcoding to traditional approaches for monitoring fish biodiversity and highlight challenges and future perspectives associated with this new tool.Ultimately,we advocate for greater incorporation of eDNA analysis into fish biodiversity assessments to assist environmental managers. | Fan Xiong Lu Shu Honghui Zeng Xiaoni Gan Shunping He Zuogang Peng | 2022 | Water Biology and Security2022,1,1: | 3 |

| 10 | Influence of endogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor on neural differentiation of adult rat hippocampal progenitors显示文摘Ciliary neurotrophic factor is the only known neurotrophic factor that can promote differentiation of hippocampal neural progenitor cells to glial cells and neurons in adult rats.This process is similar to spontaneous differentiation.Therefore,ciliary neurotrophic factor may be involved in spontaneous differentiation of neural stem cells.To verify this hypothesis,the present study isolated neural progenitor cells from adult male rats and cultured them in vitro.Results showed that when neural progenitor cells were cultured in the absence of mitogen fibroblast growth factor-2 or epidermal growth factor,they underwent spontaneous differentiation into neurons and glial cells.Western blot and immunocytochemical staining showed that exogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor strongly induced adult hippocampal progenitor cells to differentiate into neurons and glial cells.Moreover,passage 4 adult hippocampal progenitor cells expressed high levels of endogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor,and a neutralizing antibody against ciliary neurotrophic factor prevented the spontaneous neuronal and glial differentiation of adult hippocampal progenitor cells.These results suggest that the spontaneous differentiation of adult hippocampal progenitor cells is mediated partially by endogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor. | Jun Ding Zhili He Juan Ruan Ying Liu Chengxin Gong Shenggang Sun Honghui Chen | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,4: | 2 |
