2Effects of Temperature and Moisture on Soil Organic Matter Decomposition Along Elevation Gradients on the Changbai Mountains, Northeast China显示文摘Decomposition of soil organic matter(SOM) is of importance for CO_2 exchange between soil and atmosphere and soil temperature and moisture are considered as two important factors controlling SOM decomposition. In this study, soil samples were collected at 5 elevations ranging from 753 to 2 357 m on the Changbai Mountains in Northeast China, and incubated under different temperatures(5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30?C) and soil moisture levels(30%, 60%, and 90% of saturated soil moisture) to investigate the effects of both on SOM decomposition and its temperature sensitivity at different elevations. The results showed that incubation temperature(F = 1 425.10, P < 0.001), soil moisture(F = 1 327.65, P < 0.001), and elevation(F = 1 937.54, P < 0.001) all had significant influences on the decomposition rate of SOM. The significant effect of the interaction of incubation temperature and soil moisture on the SOM decomposition rate was observed at all the 5 sampling elevations(P < 0.001). A two-factor model that used temperature and moisture as variables fitted the SOM decomposition rate well(P < 0.001) and could explain 80%–93% of the variation of SOM decomposition rate at the 5 elevations. Temperature sensitivity of SOM decomposition, expressed as the change of SOM decomposition rate in response to a 10?C increase in temperature(Q_(10)), was significantly different among the different elevations(P < 0.01), but no apparent trend with elevation was discernible. In addition, soil moisture and incubation temperature both had great impacts on the Q_(10) value(P < 0.01), which increased significantly with increasing soil moisture or incubation temperature. Furthermore, the SOM decomposition rate was significantly related to soil total Gram-positive bacteria(R^2= 0.33, P < 0.01) and total Gram-negative bacteria(R^2= 0.58, P < 0.001). 7Crust and upper mantle structures beneath Northeast China from receiver function studies显示文摘P-wave and S-wave receiver function analyses have been performed along a profile consisted of 27broadband seismic stations to image the crustal and upper mantle discontinuities across Northeast China.The results show that the average Moho depth varies from about37 km beneath the Daxing'anling orogenic belt in the west to about 33 km beneath the Songliao Basin,and to about35 km beneath the Changbai mountain region in the east.Our results reveal that the Moho is generally flat beneath the Daxing'anling region and a remarkable Moho offset(about 4 km) exists beneath the basin-mountain boundary,the Daxing'anling-Taihang Gravity Line.Beneath the Tanlu faults zone,which seperates the Songliao Basin and Changbai region,the Moho is uplift and the crustal thickness changes rapidly.We interpret this feature as that the Tanlu faults might deeply penetrate into the upper mantle,and facilitate the mantle upwelling along the faults during the Cenozoic era.The average depth of the lithosphereasthenosphere boundary(LAB) is *80 km along the profile which is thinner than an average thickness of a continental lithosphere.The LAB shows an arc-like shape in the basin,with the shallowest part approximately beneath the center of the basin.The uplift LAB beneath the basin might be related to the extensive lithospheric stretching in theMesozoic.In the mantle transition zone,a structurally complicated 660 km discontinuity with a maximum 35 km depression beneath the Changbai region is observed.The35 km depression is roughly coincident with the location of the stagnant western pacific slab on top of the 660 km discontinuity revealed by the recent P wave tomography.Zhen Guo Yuliang Cao Xianguang Wang Y.John Chen Jieyuan Ning Weiguang He Youcai Tang Yongge Feng 2014Earthquake Science2014,27,3:6

11Sea-floor exhalative sedimentary and magmatic hydrothermal superimposition on the Bainiuchang polymetallic deposit in Yunnan Province: REE geochemical evidence显示文摘In order to study the characteristics of sea-floor exhalative sedimentary and magmatic hydrothermal superimposition on the Bainiuchang polymetallic deposit, the REE compositions of the granites, host-rocks and ores have been systematically analyzed by ICP-MS. As viewed from their REE compositions, the granites show obvious negative Eu anomalies and weak negative Ce anomalies. According to their REE characteristics, the host-rocks were derived partly from sea-floor exhalative sediments. In terms of their REE compositions, the ores can be divided into two groups: one group, of which the samples were collected from the Baiyang segment relatively far away from the Bozhushan granite batholith, possesses positive Eu anomalies or no Eu anomaly and negative Ce anomalies, indicating that ore-forming hydrothermal fluid was relatively reductive and its temperature was higher than 250 ℃. Furthermore, the coinstantaneous presence of positive Eu anomalies and negative Ce anomalies indicate that the convective mixing of a little amount of seawater with hydrothermal fluid had happened while ores were precipitated on ancient sea floor. The other group, of which the samples were mainly collected from the Chuanxindong and Duimenshan segments near the Bozhushan granite batholith, has similar chondrite-monalized REE distribution patterns to those of the magmatic rocks. But as a whole, the REE characteristics of both groups change gradually starting from the Bozhushan granite batholith. 12A comparative investigation of the properties of coal-water slurries prepared from Australia and Shenhua coals显示文摘Two coal samples of similar rank were chosen from Australia and China to investigate the differences in Coal-Water Slurry (CWS) made from them. The effect of ash content and particle size gradation on these properties was also studied. Different grinding times were used when grinding the two coals and particle size analysis of these ground coals was used to select samples with a ''double-peak'' particle size distribution. All the ''double-peak'' samples were used to prepare a CWS. The concentration, viscosity, fluidity, and stability of each CWS were measured. The results show that the properties of a CWS prepared from a coal sample with a ''double-peak'' size distribution are better than those CWS prepared from samples with a mono-modal particle distribution. The ash content of Australian coal is 21.72% higher than the ash content of Shenhua coal. The highest coal concentration in slurry from the Australia coal is 11.01% higher than in CWS from the Shenhua coal. The fluidity and stability of the CWS prepared from the Australian coal are both better than the fluidity and stability of slurry prepared from Shenhua coal. 13Effects of the grinding process on the preparation and qualities of CWS显示文摘Two different grinding processes were examined to determine the effect grinding has on the quality of a CWS. A series of slurries was prepared from Australian (Au) and Chinese (YZ) coals. Both types of coal were ground by a Chinese (CUMT) and an Australian (JK) grinding process. The performance tests of the prepared CWS showed that fluidity of all slurries was acceptable. The concentration of the CWS from YZ coal ground by the CUMT grinding process was higher than when the JK grinding process was used. The highest concentration was 70.14% in this case. The concentration of the CWS prepared from Au coal by the JK grinding process was higher than when the CUMT grinding process was used. The highest con- centration in this case was 70.97%. 14Uniform single atomic Cu_(1)-C_(4)sites anchored in graphdiyne for hydroxylation of benzene to phenol显示文摘For single-atom catalysts(SACs),the catalyst supports are not only anchors for single atoms,but also modulators for geometric and electronic structures,which determine their catalytic performance.Selecting an appropriate support to prepare SACs with uniform coordination environments is critical for achieving optimal performance and clarifying the relationship between the structure and the property of SACs.Approaching such a goal is still a significant challenge.Taking advantage of the strong d-πinteraction between Cu atoms and diacetylenic in a graphdiyne(GDY)support,we present an efficient and simple strategy for fabricating Cu single atoms anchored on GDY(Cu_(1)/GDY)with uniform Cu_(1)-C_(4)single sites under mild conditions.The Cu atomic structure was confirmed by combining synchrotron radiation X-ray absorption spectroscopy,X-ray photoele ctron spectroscopy and density functional theory(DFT)calculations.The as-prepared Cu1/GDY exhibits much higher activity than state-of-the-art SACs in direct benzene oxidation to phenol with H_(2)O_(2)reaction,with turnover frequency values of 251 h^(-1)at room temperature and 1889 h^(-1)at 60℃,respectively.Furthermore,even with a high benzene conversion of86%,high phenol sele ctivity(96%)is maintaine d,which can be ascribed to the hydrophobic and oleophyllic surface nature of Cu1/GDY for benzene adsorption and phenol desorption.Both experiments and DFT calculations indicate that Cu_(1)-C_(4)single sites are more effective at activating H_(2)O_(2)to form Cu=O bonds,which are important active intermediates for benzene oxidation to phenol.Jia Yu Changyan Cao Hongqiang Jin Weiming Chen Qikai Shen Peipei Li Lirong Zheng Feng He Weiguo Song Yuliang Li 2022National Science Review2022,9,9:3
15Anti-fatigue activity of Brassica rapa L.extract and correlation among biochemical changes in forced swimming mice显示文摘Brassica rapa L.is an edible and medical plant in China used for treating various diseases,especially in the Tibet region.In this study,the chemical constituents of Brassica rapa L.extract(BE)was clarified by UHPLC-MS and anti-fatigue ability of BE was assessed through the behavior test and weight-loaded forced swimming test in mice.Then we determined several biochemical parameters related to fatigue to explore possible reasons.Results indicate that BE could significantly enhance exercise performance in mice,and there was a significant improvement in both grip-strength and the time on rota-rods.Meanwhile,BE showed significant anti-fatigue effects by decreasing the blood lactic acid(BLA),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),and creatine kinase(CK)levels and increasing the lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)and malondialdehyde(MDA)levels.Increases in superoxide dismutase(SOD)and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)were observed and reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels was regulated.Liver and muscle glycogen levels and adenosine triphosphate(ATP)levels were also significantly increased.Pearson correlation analysis indicates that fatigue-related indexes including metabolites and energy-related indexes were significantly correlated with antioxidant levels.In conclusion,BE possesses remarkable anti-fatigue activity,thereby shows great potential for improving exercise performance and alleviating physical fatigue and can be considered as a functional food supplement for further development.Zilin Li Hongkang Zhu Hanyi Hua Chang Liu Yuliang Cheng Yahui Guo Peng Du He Qian 2022Food Bioscience2022,47,3:2
16Advances on Theory and Experiments of the Energy Applications in Graphdiyne显示文摘After years of development,graphdiyne(GDY)has demonstrated the characteristics of transformative materials in many fields and has promoted great progress in fundamental and applied research.In practice,some important new concepts have been proposed,such as natural surface charge distribution inhomogeneity,multicavity space limiting effect,incomplete charge transfer effect on the atomic level,alkyne-alkene conversion of a chemical bond,in situ induction of constrained growth,reversible transition from high to low valence state,and so on.These characteristics originating from the special electronic structure and chemical structure of GDY have rapidly promoted the development of GDY science in recent years and produced many exciting results in fundamental and applied science.Therefore,we systematically introduce the recent theoretical and experimental progress of GDY in terms of its new structural,electronic,mechanical,thermal,and optical properties and its promising applications in the energy fields of membrane sciences,catalysis,energy storage,and conversion.Specifically,the great breakthrough of GDY zero-valence atomic catalysts,quantum dots catalysts,and heterostructure catalysts for catalytic applications are discussed in detail.We believe this review will provide some significant guidelines for the design and development of GDYbased high-performance materials and devices in energy fields.Feng He Yuliang Li 2023CCS Chemistry2023,5,1:2
17A Case Study of Applying Metagenomic Sequencing in Precise Epidemiology for the COVID-19 Pandemic-Sichuan Province, China, 2020显示文摘Introduction:Determining the transmission chain of a virus in its incipient stages is extremely time consuming in traditional approaches that rely mainly on case incidence and interview-based contact data.With the development of high-throughput sequencing technology,genome-based epidemiology approach is showing promise in detecting viral transmission.However,there is still insufficient evidence for the relationship between the viral genetic variations and real viral transmission.Methods:To explore the possible relationship between transmission chains and viral genetic variations,we combined both epidemiological data and viral genomes of COVID-19 virus collected from Sichuan Province.A phylogenetic approach was used to infer the transmission chain,which was then compared to the transmission chain that came from epidemiological data.Results:We found that the putative transmission chains were highly concordant to the true transmission chains from epidemiological data,suggesting a strong correlation between viral genetic variations and the viral transmission chain.Discussion:Our results showed advantages of viral genomic sequencing in tracking and perceiving pathogen transmission,which allowed for potential improvements in the design and implementation of population-level public health interventions.Jianan Xu Ye Wang You Li Huiping Yang Ming Pan Jian Liu Lina Shi Yuliang Feng Li Liu Jin Li Li Zhang Shusen He 2020China CDC weekly2020,2,47:2

20The machine protection system for CSNS显示文摘Background The China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)accelerator consists of an 80 MeV H-LINAC,a 1.6 GeV rapid cycling synchrotron(RCS)and two beam transport lines.The uncontrolled beam may permanently damage the components or lead to very high residual radiation dose along the beam line.So the equipment protection must be deliberately designed and implemented.Purpose The machine protection system(MPS)protects components from being damaged by the beam.The response time requirement for the CSNS MPS is less than 20 ms,so the PLC(programmable logic controller)was adopted to implement the interlock logic.Methods The MPS was implemented as a two-tier architecture system,and developed through utilizing PLC and Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System(EPICS)software toolkits.The application logic was taken into careful consideration during the implementation stage.An embedded CPU module can function as an IOC accessing PLC I/O modules through the sequence CPU,with an embedded Linux operation system.Results The interlock logic and heartbeat functions were tested with all functions ok.Time consumption has been measured thoroughly since the important requirement,which is around 15 ms to stop the beam.Conclusions MPS was completed in Sep.2017 and then put into operation.It has been operating smoothly for more than 3 years.MPS has played an important role in every stage of CSNS’s commissioning and operation and achieved high reliability during the user’s experiment operation.The accelerator recently runs stably with low equipment failure.Kang Mingtao Zhang Yuliang Jin Dapeng He Yongcheng Zhan Mingchuan Zhu Peng Wu Xuan Guo Fengqin Wang Lin 2021Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2021,5,2:1
