1Dynamical mechanism of the stratospheric quasibiennial oscillation impact on the South China Sea Summer Monsoon显示文摘The National Center for the Atmospheric Research (NCAR) middle atmospheric model is used to study the effects of the quasi-biennial oscillation in the stratosphere (QBO) on the tropopause and uppe troposphere, and the relationship between the QBO and South China Sea Summer Monsoon (SCSSM is explored through NCEP (the National Centers for Environmental Prediction)/NCAR, ECMWF (Euro pean Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts) monthly mean wind data and in situ sounding data The simulations show that the QBO-induced residual circulations propagate downwards, and affect the tropopause and upper troposphere during the periods of mid-late QBO phase and phase transition Meanwhile, diagnostic analyses indicate that anomalous circulation similar to SCSSM circulation is generated to strengthen the SCSSM during the easterly phase and anomalous Hadley-like circulation weakens the SCSSM during the westerly. 2In vitro comparison of the hemocompatibility of diamond-like carbon and carbon nitride coatings with different atomic percentages of N显示文摘Carbon nitride (CNx) and diamond-like carbon (DLC) coatings were prepared by dc magnetron sputtering at room temperature. Different partial pressures of N2 were used to synthesize CNx to evaluate the relationship between the atomic percentage of nitrogen and hemocompatibility. Auger electron spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy indicated atomic percentages of N of 0.12 and 0.22 and that the CNx coatings were smooth. An in vitro study of the hemocompatibility of the coatings revealed that both CNx coatings had better anticoagulant properties and lower platelet adhesion than DLC. Compared with CN0.12, the CN0.22 coating showed longer dynamic clotting time (about 42 min), static clotting time (23.6 min) and recalcification time (45.6 s), as well as lower platelet adhesion (102 cells μm 2), aggregation, and activation. 3Effect of bombarding energy on ion beam assisted deposited DLC film on UHMWPE显示文摘Diamond-like carbon (DLC) films on ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene substrates were prepared at CHn+ ion bombarding energies of 200-1000eV at room temperature using ion beam assisted deposition technique. The wear tests exhibited a high wear resistance for all DLC films. 4The coral grayness in northern South China Sea and its description of interdecadal variation of precipitation in south China显示文摘The interdecadal variation of coral grayness in northern South China Sea (SCS) is studied using the annual mean coral grayness in northern SCS from 1789 to 1992 and annual precipitation at Guangzhou from 1908 to 1992 by Singular Spectrum Analysis (SSA), correlation analysis, Mann-Kendall’s abrupt change analysis and composite analysis. The interdecadal variation of south China precipitation as reflected by the series of Guangzhou precipitation rebuilt with the coral grayness is discussed. The results show that the variation of coral grayness in SCS has significant terms of tendency, much-weighted interdecadal variation and weak interannual variation. There was a century-scale abrupt change of coral grayness at the end of the 1880s that changed from positive anomalies to negative anomalies. The global field of SST difference corresponding to the point of abrupt change was negative anomalies over the SCS and neighboring northern Indian Ocean, most of central and western Pacific Ocean and coastal areas of the northern Atlantic Ocean. The large-scale distribution of SST anomalies is concomitant with the century-scale abrupt change of coral grayness in SCS. Negative correlation exists between the coralgrayness in SCS and precipitation in Guangzhou on the interdecadal scale and the interdecadal precipitation in Guangzhou as reflected by the interdecadaldata of SCS coral grayness shows that the interdecadal variation of south China precipitation changes significantly from phase to phase. 5A local positive feedback of the tropical Pacific ocean-atmosphere system on interdecadal timescales显示文摘Interdecadal variability characteristics of ocean-atmosphere interaction in the tropical areas are investigated by using atmospheric reanalysis data and oceanic dataset. Results indicate that due to the ocean-atmosphere system’s internal adjustment on interdecadal time scales, the exchanges of latent heat and sensible heat between the ocean and at- mosphere are reduced by means of weakening trade wind, causing oceanic thermocline anomalies and resulting in unusual warming of sea surface tem- perature in the central and eastern Pacific. Mean- while the increases of sea surface temperature fa- cilitate much more development of convection in the eastern Pacific and excite a local ascending motion in the eastern and anomalous westerlies in the central and eastern Pacific, which further weaken the Walker circulation, and vice versa. Thus these processes constitute an interdecadal mode of positive feedback. 6Seasonal and Interdecadal Variations of Heat Transport over the Northern Hemisphere显示文摘Using NCEP/NCAR reanalysis data, variations of heat transport in the Northern Hemisphere were studied. It was found that there are interdecadal variations in heat transport from middle latitudes to higher latitudes. The variations of interdecadal heat transport over longitudes around 120°E are out of phase with those over around 90°E and over the Northeastern Pacific. The seasonal variations of heat transport were also discussed. It was found that most heat is transported in the lower layer of the troposphere from middle latitudes to higher latitudes. 8Research on Residual Stress Induced by Laser Shot Peening显示文摘Laser shot peening (LSP) is a novel technology to impress a compressive residual stress into the surfaces of metals or alloys. This treatment can reduce the rate of fatigue cracking and stress corrosion cracking in structural metals or alloys. In this paper, some preliminary experiments were carried out with Nd:Glass laser of a pulse of 20 ns duration and 1.064 μm wavelength, an energy per pulse of 10 to 60 joules, and specimen was selected LY12CZ. The residual stress along the thickness effected by number of laser shots was taken into account in experiment. The magnitude of compressive residual stress near the surface increases with number of laser shots increasing, while decreases with the depth increasing. The mathematical modeling of laser shock processing was established, and a finite-element analysis method was based on ABAQUSExplicit software. 9The eff ects of temperature and host size on the development of Brachymeria lasus parasitising Hyphantria cunea显示文摘Brachymeria lasus Walker is a solitary endoparasitoid that attacks the pupae of a wide range of lepidopteran hosts,including an important invasive species,the fall webworm(Hyphantria cunea Drury).We studied the relationship between temperature and development of B.lasus from egg to adult hatching.The results show a decrease in parasitoid development time from 34.4 days at 18°C to 10.6 days at 32°C.The minimum threshold temperature of B.lasus was 13.2°C±1.7°C,and the eff ective accumulated temperature was 210.3±28.7 degree days.These results provide a basis for optimizing the production of this parasitoid.In addition,the eff ects of host size on off spring performance of B.lasus were investigated under laboratory conditions.Off spring longevity,size,and percentage of females were positively correlated with host size.Female off spring are larger and live longer than males.Furthermore,this research showed that parasitoid adults successfully emerged from approximately 27.9%of pupae.However,eclosion or hatching of H.cunea decreased dramatically,which may be due to damage caused by female B.lasus when testing hosts with their ovipositors or by feeding on them.The results suggest that B.lasus has the potential to become an effi cient natural enemy for controlling H.cunea.Shuo Tian Tianzi Gu Cong Chen Xudong Zhao Pengcheng Liu Dejun Hao 2021Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,1:0
10Surface Modification of Medical Polyurethane by Plasma Treatment显示文摘The wettability and surface structure of plasma treatment on medical polyurethane were studied.Two kinds of gas,N_(2),Ar,were used to create the dow-temperature plasma under low pressure.The wettability was investigated by means of the sessile drop method using water,the results show that the contact angle of water decreases from 78.8°to 61.9°as the treatment time increases.The results of electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis indicate that original chemical bonds were broken up after plasma,treatment,which was the main reason for the surface modificatioii.At same time,the results of electron spinning resonance show that the amounts of radicals did not increase significantly after treatment,which is advantageous to clinical practice of polyurethane.LI Dejun ZHAO Jie GU Hanqing LU Mozhu DING Fuqing HU Jianfang 1992Chinese Physics Letters1992,9,2:0
