1The summer monsoon evolution recorded by carbon isotope of organic matter from the Yuanbao loess section during the Last Interglaciation显示文摘Based on the carbon isotope record of organic matter from the Yuanbao loess section, northwestern China, five enhanced summer monsoon events were observed at this area during the Last Interglaciation. Such events were also recorded by the paleosol layers, pollen assemblage and magnetic susceptibility. It is suggested that the enhanced summer monsoon leads to the shift of vegetation type, which results in the change of δ13C value of organic matter in the paleosol layer. It appears that the δ13C of organic matter is a good indicator for the summer monsoon variation. Among these five events, the first, second and the fifth reached their maximum smoothly, but the other two had experienced a less cold stage before reaching their peaks, which suggests that the mechanisms of such events may be different.Yong He Dahe Qin Jiawen Ren Fengxia Li 2002Chinese Science Bulletin2002,47,15:10

4Expression and purification of recombinant human hemangiopoietin in Escherichia coli显示文摘Objective:To express the soluble recombinant hemangiopoietin protein in E.coli BL21(DE3).Methods:Using human fetal live cDNA as a template,a partial cDNA fragment of HAPO coding N-terminal region was subcloned into plasmids pTrc99,pQE60 and pET32c to construct different recombinant prokaryotic expression systems.After selecting,the soluble rhHAPO fusion protein was expressed stably in E.coli BL21(DE3) by vector pET32c-HAPO and further isolated by nickelnitrilotriacetic acid(NTA) affinity chromatography.After cleavage with enterokinase,the rhHAPO protein was applied to Fast Flow SP sepharose column.Results:The rhHAPO protein had a purity of more than 95% and a good bioactivity based on the cell adhesion assay in ECV304 cells.Conclusion:We have established a protein engineering system to produce rhHAPO which may provide the possibility for clinical application.Ren Qian Ma Fengxia Chen Zhong Lu Shihong Han Zhibo Liu Yongjun Xu Bin Zhang Xiangyu Han Zhongchao 2008Journal of Medical Colleges of PLA(China)2008,23,3:0
5Synthesis and evaluation of peptide-fentanyl analogue conjugates as dualμ/δ-opioid receptor agonists for the treatment of pain显示文摘Novel peptide-fentanyl analogue conjugates were synthesized by the covalent coupling of carfentanyl derivatives to the C-terminus or N-terminus of the conformationally constrained dermorphin tetrapeptide BVD03 via a chemical linker.The carfentanyl-related analogues displayed distinct binding and functional activities atμ/δopioid receptors(MOR/DOR)and antinociceptive effects when conjugated to the peptide.The most potent compound,SW-LJ-11,displayed mixed MOR/DOR agonist properties in the low nanomolar range and significant analgesic efficacy in vivo in four classic mouse models of pain.Interestingly,SW-LJ-11 did not exhibit any physical dependence or respiratory depression,in contrast to an equipotent analgesic dose of morphine or BVD03,indicating that the use of opioid peptide-fentanyl analogue conjugates as dual MOR/DOR agonists may be a promising strategy for obtaining safer opioids.Jing Li Tao Zhang Jialin Sun Fengxia Ren Hongxin Jia Zixing Yu Jingchao Cheng Weiguo Shi 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,8:0
6PHISDetector:A Tool to Detect Diverse In Silico Phage–host Interaction Signals for Virome Studies显示文摘Phage-microbe interactions are appealing systems to study coevolution,and have also been increasingly emphasized due to their roles in human health,disease,and the development of novel therapeutics.Phage-microbe interactions leave diverse signals in bacterial and phage genomic sequences,defined as phage-host interaction signals(PHISs),which include clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)targeting,prophage,and protein-protein interaction signals.In the present study,we developed a novel tool phage-host interaction signal detector(PHISDetector)to predict phage-host interactions by detecting and integrating diverse in silico PHISs,and scoring the probability of phage-host interactions using machine learning models based on PHIS features.We evaluated the performance of PHISDetector on multiple benchmark datasets and application cases.When tested on a dataset of 758 annotated phage-host pairs,PHISDetector yields the prediction accuracies of 0.51 and 0.73 at the species and genus levels,respectively,outperforming other phage-host prediction tools.When applied to 125,842 metagenomic viral contigs(mVCs)derived from 3042 geographically diverse samples,a detection rate of 54.54% could be achieved.Furthermore,PHISDetector could predict infecting phages for 85.6% of 368 multidrug-resistant(MDR)bacteria and 30% of 454 human gut bacteria obtained from the National Institutes of Health(NIH)Human Microbiome Project(HMP).The PHISDetector can be run either as a web server(http://gffzz439de54f28c841f5h96bc5np9pnox6bop.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/PHISDetector/)for general users to study individual inputs or as a stand-alone version(http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460as96bc5np9pnox6bop.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/HITImmunologyLab/PHISDetector)to process massive phage contigs from virome studies.Fengxia Zhou Rui Gan Fan Zhang Chunyan Ren Ling Yu Yu Si Zhiwei Huang 2022Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2022,20,3:0
