1Robust and efficient direct multiplex amplification method for large-scale DNA detection of blood samples on FTA cards显示文摘Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) damage arising from radiations widely occurred along with the development of nuclear weapons and clinically wide application of computed tomography (CT) scan and nuclear medicine. All ionizing radiations (X-rays, γ-rays, alpha particles, etc.) and ultraviolet (UV) radiation lead to the DNA damage. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is one of the most wildly used techniques for detecting DNA damage as the amplification stops at the site of the damage. Improvements to enhance the efficiency of PCR are always required and remain a great challenge. Here we establish a multiplex PCR assay system (MPAS) that is served as a robust and efficient method for direct detection of target DNA sequences in genomic DNA. The establishment of the system is performed by adding a combination of PCR enhancers to standard PCR buffer. The performance of MPAS was demonstrated by carrying out the direct PCR amplification on 1.2 mm human blood punch using commercially available primer sets which include multiple primer pairs. The optimized PCR system resulted in high quality genotyping results without any inhibitory effect indicated and led to a full-profile success rate of 98.13%. 2Interface enhanced superconductivity in monolayer FeSe films on MgO(001):charge transfer with atomic substitution显示文摘Interface enhanced superconductivity over 50 K has been discovered in monolayer Fe Se films grown on several TiO_2-terminated oxide substrates.Whether such phenomenon exists in other oxide substrates remains an extremely interesting topic.Here we report enhanced superconductivity with an onset transition temperature of 18 K in monolayer Fe Se on Mg O(001) substrate by transport measurement.Scanning transmission electron microscopy investigation on the interface structure indicates that Fe Se films grow epitaxially on Mg O(001) and that overlayer Fe atoms diffuse into the top two layers of Mg O and substitute Mg atoms.Our density functional theory calculations reveal that this substitution promotes the charge transfer from the Mg O substrate to the Fe Se films,an essential process that also occurs in monolayer Fe Se on TiO_2-terminated oxides and contributes to the enhanced superconductivity therein.Our finding suggests that superconductivity enhancement in monolayer Fe Se films on oxides substrates is rather general as long as charge transfer is allowed at the interface,thus pointing out an explicit direction for searching for new high temperature superconductivity by interface engineering.Guanyu Zhou Qinghua Zhang Fawei Zheng Ding Zhang Chong Liu Xiaoxiao Wang Can-Li Song Ke He Xu-Cun Ma Lin Gu Ping Zhang Lili Wang Qi-Kun Xue 2018Science Bulletin2018,63,12:2
3Geniposide protects human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells against corticosterone-induced injury显示文摘In vitro cultured human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells were pretreated with 50 or 5 μg/mL geniposide for 12 hours and exposed to 400 μmol/L corticosterone. Corticosterone exposure in cultures not pretreated with geniposide resulted in inhibited cell growth, reduced cell survival, and increased P53 and P21 protein expression. However, in geniposide pretreated SH-SY5Y cells, cell viability and the number of cells in the G2 phase of the cell cycle were significantly increased, P21 and P53 protein expression was reduced, and cell apoptosis was inhibited following corticosterone exposure. 4Two Ultraviolet Radiation Datasets that Cover China显示文摘Ultraviolet(UV) radiation has significant effects on ecosystems, environments, and human health, as well as atmospheric processes and climate change. Two ultraviolet radiation datasets are described in this paper. One contains hourly observations of UV radiation measured at 40 Chinese Ecosystem Research Network stations from 2005 to 2015. CUV3 broadband radiometers were used to observe the UV radiation, with an accuracy of 5%, which meets the World Meteorology Organization's measurement standards. The extremum method was used to control the quality of the measured datasets. The other dataset contains daily cumulative UV radiation estimates that were calculated using an all-sky estimation model combined with a hybrid model. The reconstructed daily UV radiation data span from 1961 to 2014. The mean absolute bias error and root-mean-square error are smaller than 30% at most stations, and most of the mean bias error values are negative, which indicates underestimation of the UV radiation intensity. These datasets can improve our basic knowledge of the spatial and temporal variations in UV radiation. 5Correlation between Different Morus alba L. Leaf Nodes and the Change in Leaf Size or Mass显示文摘This paper aimed to explore the correlation between Morus alba L. leaf node and its size or mass change and provide a theoretical basis for the development of scientific Morus alba L. cultivation technology. During 2016-2017,the correlation between Morus alba L. leaf node and its size or mass change was investigated and researched. Results showed that through the correlation coefficient analysis,there was a weakly positive correlation between the leaf node and some indicators such as( leaf length ÷ leaf width) and petiole length,there was a weakly negative correlation between the leaf node and some indicators such as leaf width,( leaf length + leaf width),( leaf length × leaf width) and leaf mass,and there was a weakly negative correlation between the leaf node and the other indicators; there was a highly positive correlation between the leaf mass and some indicators such as Morus alba L. leaf length,leaf width,( leaf length + leaf width) and( leaf length × leaf width),there was a significantly positive correlation between the leaf mass and some indicators such as petiole transverse diameter in width and petiole mass,and there was a weakly positive correlation between the leaf mass and some indicators such as petiole transverse diameter in thickness. In terms of significant level of difference,it was found that there was no significant difference in the correlation coefficients between the leaf nodes on the Morus alba L. shoots and some indicators such as leaf length,leaf width,( leaf length + leaf width),( leaf length × leaf width) and leaf mass; there was an extremely significant difference in the correlation coefficients between the leaf mass and some indicators such as Morus alba L. leaf length,leaf width,( leaf length + leaf width),( leaf length × leaf width),petiole transverse diameter in width and petiole mass; there was no significant difference in the correlation coefficients between the leaf mass and the other indicators. The regression analysis was performed on the leaf node and leaf length,leaf width,( leaf length + leaf width),( leaf length × leaf width),( leaf length ÷ leaf width),petiole length,petiole diameter in width,petiole diameter in thickness,petiole mass and leaf mass. Significance F values were0. 4864,0. 1995,0. 2888,0. 3004,0. 2350,0. 2407,0. 8925,0. 5227,0. 7022 and 0. 2000,respectively,that is,there was an extremely significant difference between Morus alba L. leaf node and petiole diameter in width,there was a significant difference between Morus alba L.leaf node and petiole mass,and there was no significant difference between Morus alba L. leaf node and the other indicators. The comparative analysis of quadratic curve regression equation and linear regression equation was performed on some indicators such as leaf length,and it was found that the R value between the leaf node and petiole diameter in width was in line with the logarithmic curve regression equation,and the other R values of quadratic curve regression equation was larger than the other R values of linear regression equation,indicating that different Morus alba L. leaf nodes,leaf length,leaf mass and other indicators were in line with the quadratic curve regression equation. 8Shuyusan-containing serum protects SH-SY5Y cells against corticosterone-induced impairment显示文摘The Chinese herb Shuyusan,whose main constituent is jasminoidin,has been shown to protect SH-SY5Y cells against corticosterone-induced damage.SH-SY5Y cells injured by 400 μmol/L corticosterone were treated with 5 and 30 μg/mL Shuyusan-containing serum.Results revealed that Shuyusan-containing serum elevated the survival rate of SH-SY5Y cells,reduced Bax expression,increased Bcl-2 expression,markedly elevated brain-derived neurotrophic factor mRNA expression,and blocked cell apoptosis.Moreover,the effect of high-dose (30 μg/mL) Shuyusan-containing serum was more remarkable.Therefore,Shuyusan-containing serum appears to protect SH-SY5Y cells against corticosterone-induced impairment by adjusting the expression of apoptosis-associated proteins and brain-derived neurotrophic factor.Moreover,high-dose Shuyusan-containing serum has a protective effect on high-dose corticosterone-induced impairment.Liping Chen Zhigao Sun Fawei Wang Chengyong Xu Miao Geng Hongyan Chen Dongmei Duan 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,22:1
9Co-pyrolysis of oil sludge with hydrogen-rich plastics in a vertical stirring reactor:Kinetic analysis,emissions,and products显示文摘Pyrolysis is an effective method to treat oily sludge(OS)due to its balance between oil recovery and nonhazardous disposal.However,tank bottom OS contains a high content of heavy fractions,which creates obstacles for pyrolysis due to the high activation energy.The incomplete cracking of macromolecules and secondary polymerization decreases the oil quality and causes coking during the operation process.This study introduced polyethylene(PE)into OS to deploy the H/Ceff ratio of feedstocks for pyrolysis A strong interaction between OS and PE during copyrolysis could be observed from the TG/DTG curves.PE tightly participated in OS degradation,while OS also promoted PE degradation at high temperature.Apparent pits were generated in solid residues from copyrolysis,which was attributed to the uniform and violent gas release.In addition to HCN,other nitrogenous and sulphurous pollutants were inhibited.Accordingly,more gas products were attained after PE addition with more value-added compositions of alkanes and alkenes.Although the oil yield decreased after PE addition,the oil products from copyrolysis possessed higher heating values and higher contents of light fractions with short chains as well as paraffins.Consequently,copyrolysis of OS and PE significantly improved the pyrolysis process and resulted in high oil quality.Lujun Zhao Jiaming Shao Li Xiang Yiping Feng Zhihua Wang Fawei Lin 2022Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,10:0
