1Novel aspects for thermal stability studies and shelf life assessment of modified double-base propellants显示文摘Modified DB propellants, based on energetic nitramine(RDX) were manufactured by solventless extrusion process. Thermal stability and shelf life assessment of modified DB propellant were investigated. Shelf life assessment was evaluated using Van’t Hoff’s formula and artificial aging at 70℃ up to120 days. Quantification of total heat released and heat flow with aging time was conducted using differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and thermal activity monitoring(TAMIII) respectively. Modified DB formulation based on 20 wt % RDX demonstrated enhanced thermal stability in terms of controlled heat flow, and slow decomposition reactions at elevated temperature. This formulation demonstrated extended service life up to 56 years compared with reference formulation. These novel finding was ascribed to the high thermal stability of RDX and its compatibility with DB constituents. 2Low soil temperature and drought stress conditions at flowering stage affect physiology and pollen traits of rice显示文摘Low temperature and drought stress are the major constraints in rice productivity worldwide. This study investigated the influence of low soil temperature and/or drought stress on physiology and pollen traits of two rice genotypes viz., Guinongzhan and Yueza 763 at flowering stage. The experiment included four treatments, i.e., under the greenhouse natural growth conditions (UC) taken as control, drought stress (DS), the soil water potential was kept at ?0.035 to ?0.045 MPa (DS), low soil temperature (LT) maintained at 19 to 21℃, combined LT and DS (LT+DS, LD). Results showed that LT, DS, and LD substantially reduced net photosynthetic rate (Pn) and the maximal photochemical efficiency of PSII (Fv/Fm), whilst transpiration rate (Tr) was markedly enhanced by under LT in both rice genotypes. The malondialdehyde (MDA) contents were enhanced under LT, DS, and LD in Guinongzhan, whilst the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), and catalase (CAT) were regulated by LT, DS, and LD in both rice genotypes. Furthermore, anther dehiscence rate, pollen numbers on stigma, pollen viability and pollen germination rate, and anther starch contents were obviously reduced under LT and DS of both rice genotypes. 3Transcranial magnetic stimulation in animal models of neurodegeneration显示文摘Brain stimulation techniques offer powerful means of modulating the physiology of specific neural structures. In recent years, non-invasive brain stimulation techniques, such as transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMS) and transcranial direct current stimulation, have emerged as therapeutic tools for neurology and neuroscience. However, the possible repercussions of these techniques remain unclear, and there are few reports on the incisive recovery mechanisms through brain stimulation. Although several studies have recommended the use of non-invasive brain stimulation in clinical neuroscience, with a special emphasis on TMS, the suggested mechanisms of action have not been confirmed directly at the neural level. Insights into the neural mechanisms of non-invasive brain stimulation would unveil the strategies necessary to enhance the safety and efficacy of this progressive approach. Therefore, animal studies investigating the mechanisms of TMSinduced recovery at the neural level are crucial for the elaboration of non-invasive brain stimulation. Translational research done using animal models has several advantages and is able to investigate knowledge gaps by directly targeting neuronal levels. 4Chemical stability, thermal behavior, and shelf life assessment of extruded modified double-base propellants显示文摘Double base propellant suffers from lack of chemical stability; this could result in self ignition during storing. Modified double base(MDB) propellant based on stoichiometric binary mixture of oxidizermetal fuel(Ammonium perchlorate/Aluminum), and energetic nitramines(HMX) offered enhanced thrust as well as combustion characteristics. This study is devoted to evaluate the impact of such energetic additives on thermal behavior, chemical stability, and shelf life. Extruded MDB formulations were manufactured by extrusion process. Artificial aging at 80℃ for 28 days was conducted. Shelf life assessment was performed using Van't Hoff's equation. Quantification of evolved NOxgases with aging time was performed using quantitative stability tests. MDB formulation based on HMX demonstrated extended service life of 16 years compared with(AP/Al)-MDB which demonstrated 9 years. This finding was ascribed to the reactivity of AP with nitroglycerin with the formation of perchloric acid. Thermal behavior of aged MDB, exhibited an increase in heat released with time; this was ascribed to the autocatalytic thermal degradation during artificial aging. The increase in released heat by 31% was found to be equivalent to evolved NOx gases of 6.2 cm^3/5 g and 2.5 cm^3/1 g for Bergmann-Junk test, and Vacuum stability test respectively. This manuscript shaded the light on a novel approach to quantify evolved NOx gases to heat released with aging time. 8Novel frameshift mutation in the SACS gene causing spastic ataxia of charlevoix-saguenay in a consanguineous family from the Arabian Peninsula:A case report and review of literature显示文摘BACKGROUND Familial cases of autosomal recessive spastic ataxia of charlevoix-saguenay have not been reported in the Arabian Peninsula,although the consanguineous marriage rate is very high.We report the first family from the Arabian Peninsula harboring a novel frameshift mutation in the SACS gene.CASE SUMMARY A 33-year-old man presented to our neurology clinic with balance problems and weakness of distal upper and lower limbs.He was previously clinically diagnosed with Friedreich's ataxia.However,the severity of polyneuropathy and the electrodiagnostic studies(EDX)findings are atypical features of Friedreich’s ataxia,and the deterioration was attributed to diabetic neuropathy.Close examination of other family members identified cerebellar ataxia,lower-limb pyramidal signs,peripheral neuropathy,and magnetic resonance imaging findings characterized by pontine linear hypointensities.Genetic testing for Friedreich’s ataxia did not yield a diagnosis.Whole exome sequencing identified a novel frameshift germline mutation in the SACS gene termed c.5824_5827delTACT using the transcript NM_014363.5,which is predicted to cause premature termination of the sacsin protein at amino acid position 1942(p.Tyr1942Metfs*9)and disrupts the sacsin SRR3 and domains downstream from it.The mutation segregated with the disease in the family.CONCLUSION Our data add to the spectrum of mutations in the SACS gene and argues for a need to implement suitably integrated clinical and diagnostic services,including next generation sequencing technology,to better classify ataxia in this area of the world.Abdullah Al-Ajmi Sarah Shamsah Aleksandar Janicijevic Michayla Williams Fahd Al-Mulla 2020World Journal of Clinical Cases2020,8,8:2

12Fault Pattern Diagnosis and Classification in Sensor Nodes Using Fall Curve显示文摘The rapid expansion of Internet of Things(IoT)devices deploys various sensors in different applications like homes,cities and offices.IoT applications depend upon the accuracy of sensor data.So,it is necessary to predict faults in the sensor and isolate their cause.A novel primitive technique named fall curve is presented in this paper which characterizes sensor faults.This technique identifies the faulty sensor and determines the correct working of the sensor.Different sources of sensor faults are explained in detail whereas various faults that occurred in sensor nodes available in IoT devices are also presented in tabular form.Fault prediction in digital and analog sensors along with methods of sensor fault prediction are described.There are several advantages and disadvantages of sensor fault prediction methods and the fall curve technique.So,some solutions are provided to overcome the limitations of the fall curve technique.In this paper,a bibliometric analysis is carried out to visually analyze 63 papers fetched from the Scopus database for the past five years.Its novelty is to predict a fault before its occurrence by looking at the fall curve.The sensing of current flow in devices is important to prevent a major loss.So,the fall curves of ACS712 current sensors configured on different devices are drawn for predicting faulty or non-faulty devices.The analysis result proved that if any of the current sensors gets faulty,then the fall curve will differ and the value will immediately drop to zero.Various evaluation metrics for fault prediction are also described in this paper.At last,this paper also addresses some possible open research issues which are important to deal with false IoT sensor data.Mudita Uppal Deepali Gupta Divya Anand Fahd S.Alharithi Jasem Almotiri Arturo Mansilla Dinesh Singh Nitin Goyal 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,7:1
