| 2 | Water Cooperation Priorities in the Lancang-Mekong River Basin Based on Cooperative Events Since the Mekong River Commission Establishment显示文摘The Lancang-Mekong River has attracted much attention from researchers, but the cooperation on water issues in this river basin has been limited, even after the establishment of the Mekong River Commission(MRC). Cooperation on water resources has been determined as one of the key priority areas in the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Mechanism, but there are no details of targets. In order to establish the priorities of water cooperation under the mechanism, we adopted nine categories to classify the objectives of 87 water cooperation events based on the ‘Lancang-Mekong Water Cooperative Events Database' from 1995 to 2015. Based on the occurrence of cooperative events, cooperative objectives, cooperative scales, and approaches to cooperation, we conducted statistical, correlation, and text analyses. Our analyses indicated the following results: under the impact of economic conditions inside and outside the river basin, full cooperation appeared more difficult than bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Each of the partners adopted different preferences for cooperation targets. Cooperation with more definite objectives was easier to establish than cooperation with broader and more complex objectives. The potential objectives for water cooperation were navigation, hydropower, joint management, data sharing, flood control and water use. Because hydropower development is controversial, and because water cooperation is avoided by most existing regional cooperation mechanisms due to its complexity, we suggest the following priority areas for water cooperation in the Lancang-Mekong River Basin. 1) Navigation and flood control/drought relief are attractive objectives for all the riparian countries across the whole watershed. 2) Data sharing should be a priority for cooperation in the watershed due to its laying the foundation for the equitable and reasonable utilization of transboundary waters. 3) Hydropower is an objective best implemented mainly through bilateral cooperation, and on tributaries. | FENG Yan WANG Wenling SUMAN Daniel YU Shiwei HE Daming | 2019 | Chinese Geographical Science2019,29,1: | 8 |
| 3 | Source-sink System and Sedimentary Model of Progradational Fan Delta Controlled by Restricted Ancient Gully:An Example in the Enping Formation in the Southern Baiyun Sag,Pearl River Mouth Basin,Northern South China Sea显示文摘Tectonic activity occurred during the depositional period of the Enping Formation in the southern Baiyun Sag in the Pearl River Mouth Basin,with a series of synsedimentary faults and a set of large fan delta reservoir bodies developing.There is no data from drilling,cores,etc.for this area,so this paper applies three-dimensional seismic data to study the structural style of the steep slope zone,the seismic facies characteristics of fan deltas,and the source-sink system and sedimentary model of the Enping Formation.The control action of tectonic activity on fan deltaic sedimentary systems is studied by combining interpretation of fault systems,dissection of structural styles,seismic reflection structure,seismic facies geometry,and seismic attribute analysis,together with theoretical analysis of the source-sink deposition process.The Baiyun Sag has experienced tectonic activity since the Eocene,and a series of synsedimentary faults are developed in the southern steep slope zone.Under the common control of multiple large synsedimentary faults,a large ancient gully formed in the steep slope zone in the south,which gradually widened from south to north.The uplift area in the southern part of the sag was exposed for a long time during the deposition of the Enping Formation and consequently suffered weathering and erosion.The resulting sediments were transported through a system of provenance channels composed of slopes and an ancient gully to the depression area,where they were deposited and eventually converged to form a large fan delta.The fan delta presents the overall characteristics of NS strong wedge reflection and EW strong domal reflection—thick in the middle part and thin in the wings.It displays a lobe-shaped distribution on the plane,with the fan root pointing to the south slope.According to differences in reflection intensity from bottom to top,it can be subdivided into three stages of progradational sedimentary bodies—the southern uplift and denudation zone,the large ancient gully,and the fan delta—which together constitute a complete source-sink system.This represents a sedimentary model of progradational fan delta under the overall joint control of the re stricted ancient gully and syndepositional faults. | FENG Congjun YAO Xingzong YANG Haizhang LI Daming SUN Mengsi | 2021 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2021,95,1: | 4 |

| 5 | Research progress on international rivers in Asia显示文摘With the regional population growth, socioeconomic development, more and more attention has been paid to issues on the shared water allocation and the transboundary eco-security conservation during the development of water resources in the international rivers. In this paper, the existing major problems on transboundary waters in different sub-regions of Asia, such as water shortage, transboundary waters pollution, fragile eco-environment are discussed. Then, the key scientific issues to be concerned in the next study progress on the basis of the analyses of the new research directions and focus fields are raised: (1) unpredicted changes of the hydrologic and water system, and their impacts on the allocation of the sharing waters by global changes; (2) models of the international cooperation on the international rivers on the studies of international and national water laws or regulations, policies, the relative experiences and the case studies; (3) quantificational assessment on environmental flow, available water, and the comprehensive functions and values of the international watercourse system; (4) studies on transboundary aquatic bio-diversity maintenance, transboundary pollution supervision and treatment under the rules and principles accepted by the riparian states; (5) issues on transboundary compensation at the rules of “payments for using”, “payments for harm” and “compensation for benefit”; (6) using advanced 3S techniques to promote the integrated watershed development and management; and so on. | FENG Yan HE Daming | 2006 | Journal of Geographical Sciences2006,16,3: | 4 |
| 6 | Surface-defective FeS2 for electrochemical NH3 production under ambient conditions显示文摘In the viewpoint of ammonia economy,electrochemical N2 reduction reaction(NRR)under mild condition is a very promising approach for sustainable development.By virtue of robust activity and low cost,transition-metalbased materials become one kind of the most attractive electrocatalysts in realizing ammonia synthesis to the industrial level.However,the investigation related to NRR electrocatalysts still mainly rely on costly substance or fabrication process,which greatly restrict their large-scale applications.In this work,a simple fabricated FeS2 electrode is adopted as NRR catalysts.The abundant surface defects due to the existence of Cr element,as well as the synergistic effect between FeS2 crystal planes provided excellent electrocatalytic performance with a high NH3 yield rate(11.5μg h^-1mg^-1 Fe)and Faradaic efficiency(14.6%)at-0.2 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE)toward NRR under ambient conditions.The superior catalytic performance of such non-precious metal catalysts would strongly promote the application of NRR process industrially. | Daming Feng Xu Zhang Ying Sun Tianyi Ma | 2020 | Nano Materials Science2020,2,2: | 3 |

| 9 | Development and validation of a novel nomogram to predict aneurysm rupture in patients with multiple intracranial aneurysms:a multicentre retrospective study显示文摘Background and purpose Approximately 15%–45%of patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysms have multiple intracranial aneurysms(MIAs).Determining which one is most likely to rupture is extremely important for treatment decision making for MIAs patients.This study aimed to develop and validate a nomogram to evaluate the per-aneurysm rupture risk of MIAs patients.Methods A total of 1671 IAs from 700 patients with MIAs were randomly dichotomised into derivation and validation sets.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to select predictors and construct a nomogram model for aneurysm rupture risk assessment in the derivation set.The discriminative accuracy,calibration performance and clinical usefulness of this nomogram were assessed.We also developed a multivariate model for a subgroup of 158 subarachnoid haemorrhage(SAH)patients and compared its performance with the nomogram model.Results Multivariate analyses identified seven variables that were significantly associated with IA rupture(history of SAH,alcohol consumption,female sex,aspect ratio>1.5,posterior circulation,irregular shape and bifurcation location).The clinical and morphological-based MIAs(CMB-MIAs)nomogram model showed good calibration and discrimination(derivation set:area under the curve(AUC)=0.740 validation set:AUC=0.772).Decision curve analysis demonstrated that the nomogram was clinically useful.Compared with the nomogram model,the AUC of multivariate model developed from SAH patients had lower value of 0.730.Conclusions This CMB-MIAs nomogram for MIAs rupture risk is the first to be developed and validated in a large multi-institutional cohort.This nomogram could be used in decision-making and risk stratification in MIAs patients. | Xin Feng Xin Tong Fei Peng Hao Niu Peng Qi Jun Lu Yang Zhao Weitao Jin Zhongxue Wu Yuanli Zhao Aihua Liu Daming Wang | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,3: | 2 |

| 13 | Responses of Soil Bacterial Diversity to Fertilization are Driven by Local Environmental Context Across China显示文摘Soil microbial diversity is extremely vulnerable to fertilization,which is one of the main anthropogenic activities associated with global changes.Yet we know little about how and why soil microbial diversity responds to fertilization across contrasting local ecological contexts.This knowledge is fundamental for predicting changes in soil microbial diversity in response to ongoing global changes.We analyzed soils from ten 20-year field fertilization(organic and/or inorganic)experiments across China and found that the national-scale responses of soil bacterial diversity to fertilization are dependent on ecological context.In acidic soils from regions with high precipitation and soil fertility,inorganic fertilization can result in further acidification,resulting in negative impacts on soil bacterial diversity.In comparison,organic fer-tilization causes a smaller disturbance to soil bacterial diversity.Despite the overall role of environmental contexts in driving soil microbial diversity,a small group of bacterial taxa were found to respond to fer-tilization in a consistent way across contrasting regions throughout China.Taxa such as Nitrosospira and Nitrososphaera,which benefit from nitrogen fertilizer addition,as well as Chitinophagaceae,Bacilli,and phototrophic bacteria,which respond positively to organic fertilization,could be used as bioindicators for soil fertility in response to fertilization at the national scale.Overall,our work provides new insights into the importance of local environmental context in determining the responses of soil microbial diver-sity to fertilization,and identifies regions with acidic soils wherein soil microbial diversity is more vul-nerable to fertilization at the national scale. | Youzhi Feng Manuel Delgado-Baquerizo Yongguan Zhu Xiaozeng Han Xiaori Han Xiuli Xin Wei Li Zhibing Guo Tinghui Dang Chenhua Li Bo Zhu Zejiang Cai Daming Li Jiabao Zhang | 2022 | Engineering2022,8,5: | 1 |

| 19 | The Existence of the Negative Charge of Gold in Sulphide Minerals and Its Formation Mechanism显示文摘Through a study, particularly an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS or ESCA) analysis, of gold-bearing arsenopyrite and pyrite in Carlin-type gold deposits of Guangxi, China, and hydrothermally synthesized gold-bearing pyrite and marcasite, the authors have found that these minerals contain 'invisible gold' whose binding energy is lower than that of native gold (Au°). Therefore they suggest that gold occurs in a negative charge state in these sulphide minerals as it replaces some sulphur and is combined with sulphur with the covalent bond. | 20 | Nanoengineering Metal–Organic Frameworks and Derivatives for Electrosynthesis of Ammonia显示文摘Electrocatalytic synthesis under mild conditions has become increasingly important as one of the practical alternatives for industrial applications,especially for the green ammonia(NH_(3))industry.A properly engineered electrocatalyst plays a vital role in the realization of superior catalytic performance.Among various types of promising nanomaterials,metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)are competitive candidates for developing efficient electrocatalytic NH_(3) synthesis from simple nitrogen-containing molecules or ions,such as N_(2) and NO_(3)^(−).In this review,recent advances in the development of electrocatalysts derived from MOFs for the electrosynthesis of NH_(3) are collected,categorized,and discussed,including their application in the N_(2) reduction reaction(NRR)and the NO_(3)^(−)reduction reaction(NO3RR).Firstly,the fundamental principles are illustrated,such as plausible mechanisms of NH_(3) generation from N_(2) and NO_(3)^(−),the apparatus of corresponding electrocatalysis,parameters for evaluation of reaction efficiency,and detection methods of yielding NH_(3).Then,the electrocatalysts for NRR processes are discussed in detail,including pristine MOFs,MOF-hybrids,MOF-derived N-doped porous carbons,single atomic catalysts from pyrolysis of MOFs,and other MOF-related materials.Subsequently,MOF-related NO3RR processes are also listed and discussed.Finally,the existing challenges and prospects for the rational design and fabrication of electrocatalysts from MOFs for electrochemical NH_(3) synthesis are presented,such as the evolution of investigation methods with artificial intelligence,innovation in synthetic methods of MOF-related catalysts,advancement of characterization techniques,and extended electrocatalytic reactions. | Daming Feng Lixue Zhou Timothy J.White Anthony K.Cheetham Tianyi Ma Fengxia Wei | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,11: | 0 |
