1LncRNA DPP10-AS1 promotes malignant processes through epigenetically activating its cognate gene DPP10 and predicts poor prognosis in lung cancer patients显示文摘Objective:The purpose of this study was to explore the function and gene expression regulation of the newly identified lnc RNA DPP10-AS1 in lung cancer,and its potential value as a prognostic biomarker.Methods:q RT-PCR and Western blot were conducted to detect the expression of DDP10-AS1 and DPP10 in lung cancer cell lines and tissues.The effects of DDP10-AS1 on DPP10 expression,cell growth,invasion,apoptosis,and in vivo tumor growth were investigated in lung cancer cells by Western blot,rescue experiments,colony formation,flow cytometry,and xenograft animal experiments.Results:The novel antisense lnc RNA DPP10-AS1 was found to be highly expressed in cancer tissues(P<0.0001),and its upregulation predicted poor prognosis in patients with lung cancer(P=0.0025).Notably,DPP10-AS1 promoted lung cancer cell growth,colony formation,and cell cycle progression,and repressed apoptosis in lung cancer cells by upregulating DPP10 expression.Additionally,DPP10-AS1 facilitated lung tumor growth via upregulation of DPP10 protein in a xenograft mouse model.Importantly,DPP10-AS1 positively regulated DPP10 gene expression,and both were coordinately upregulated in lung cancer tissues.Mechanically,DPP10-AS1 was found to associate with DPP10 m RNA but did not enhance DPP10 m RNA stability.Hypomethylation of DPP10-AS1 and DPP10 contributed to their coordinate upregulation in lung cancer.Conclusions:These findings indicated that the upregulation of the antisense lnc RNA DPP10-AS1 promotes lung cancer malignant processes and facilitates tumorigenesis by epigenetically regulating its cognate sense gene DPP10.DPP10-AS1 may serve as a candidate prognostic biomarker and a potential therapeutic target in lung cancer.Haihua Tian Jinchang Pan Shuai Fang Chengwei Zhou Hui Tian Jinxian He Weiyu Shen Xiaodan Meng Xiaofeng Jin Zhaohui Gong 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,3:5
2Tribological Performance of Bioimplants: A Comprehensive Review显示文摘Total joint replacements(TJR) have been a huge success for orthopaedic surgery in the past century and are gaining increasing importance today due to the aging population. However, the short longevity of artificial joints is one of the major problems in bioimplant industry and needs to be rectified since an increasing number of young people, with more active lifestyles, must receive TJR. Wear mechanisms are discussed in this paper to describe the root causes of the failures and to give some general ideas to increase the lifespan of artificial joints. The suitable material combination is of great importance for the wear resistance of bioimplants, and bioceramics will exert a crucial effect in their future progress. Other materials, such as metal alloys and polymers, are also discussed in this paper. Surface finish is another factor affecting the tribological performance of bioimplants. In recent years, surface texture technology has fascinated many researchers, and a good design of texture pattern requires a comprehensive understanding of wear mechanisms, material properties, and dynamic fluid theory. 8High-efficiency preparation of multifunctional conjugated electrospun graphene doped PVDF/CF yarns for energy harvesting and human movement monitoring in TENG textile显示文摘Portable power is an effective solution to realize self-powered sensors for wearable devices,promoting future sustainable development.Membrane-based triboelectric nanogenerators(M-TENGs)have emerged as a promising technology for harvesting biomechanical energy from human motion owing to their advantages,such as simple structure,lightweight design,and efficient energy conversion.However,the poor durability,low adaptability,and un-washability of two-dimensional membrane materials have largely hindered their application in wearable electronics.In this study,we propose a sheath-core polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)/graphene(G)-carbon fiber(CF)yarn fabricated via conjugate electrospinning,comprising a commercial CF core and an electrospun graphene-doped PVDF sheath,which improves the fatigue resistance of electrospun nanofiber films under prolonged friction and keeps a high degree of freedom.The resulting electronic textile,woven with the large-scale electrospun PVDF/G-CF yarn,demonstrates a remarkable power density of 25.5 mW·m^(-2).The tight distribution of PVDF/G nanofibers on the textile surface ensures excellent softness,washability,and durability.Furthermore,the electrospun PVDF/G-CF textile exhibits significant potential in pressure sensing,self-powered operation,and motion detection,making it highly suitable for wearable electronics applications.Ting Yang Chengwei Wan Xiaoyu Zhang Tong Liu Li Niu Jian Fang Yuqing Liu 2024Nano Research2024,17,5:0
9Flexoelectricity-enhanced photovoltaic effect in trapezoid-shaped NaNbO_(3)nanotube array composites显示文摘In this work,we successfully prepared vertically aligned NaNbO_(3)nanotube(NN-NT)with trapezoidal shapes,in which the orthorhombic and monoclinic phases coexisted.According to the structure analysis,the NN-NT/epoxy composite film had excellent flexoelectric properties due to the lattice distortion caused by defects and irregular shape.The flexoelectric effect is the greatest in the vertical direction in the flexible NN-NT/epoxy composite film,and the flexoelectric coefficient()is 2.77×10^(−8)C·m^(−1),which is approximately 5-fold higher than that of the pure epoxy film.The photovoltaic current of the NN-NT/epoxy composite film increased from 39.9 to 71.8 nA·cm^(−2)in the direction of spontaneous polarization when the sample was bent upward due to the flexoelectricity-enhanced photovoltaic(FPV)effect.The flexoelectric effect of the NN-NT/epoxy composite film could modulate the photovoltaic response by increasing it by 80%or reducing it to 65%of the original value.This work provides a new idea for further exploration in efficient and lossless ferroelectric memory devices.Fang Yu Junyuan Tian Fengying Jiang Yunjie Liu Chaohai Li Chengwei Wang Zhong Lin Wang Kailiang Ren 2023Nano Research2023,16,9:0
10Epithelial-mesenchymal transition-related circular RNAs in lung carcinoma显示文摘The epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)is a highly complex phenotypic conversion during embryogenesis,and is important for metastasis,which contributes to tumor deterioration and poor prognoses of cancer patients.Lung carcinoma has a high tendency to develop the EMT.Circular RNAs(circ RNAs)are involved in EMT-related cell invasion and metastasis in various types of cancers.Moreover,circ RNAs have been found to be a link to EMT-related transcription factors and EMT-associated signaling pathways.This review mainly focuses on the influence of EMT-related circ RNAs on lung carcinomas.More specifically,the roles of EMT-inducingand EMT-suppressive circ RNAs in lung carcinomas are discussed.With circ RNAs potentially becoming promising biomarkers and therapeutic targets for cancer managements,they will hopefully stimulate the interest of medical workers in the early diagnosis,personalized treatment,and positive prognoses in the era of precision oncology.Meina Jiang Shuai Fang Xiaodong Zhao Chengwei Zhou Zhaohui Gong 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,2:0
11Significantly enhanced energy density of nanodiamond/polyimide composites at high temperatures with ultralow nanodiamond contents显示文摘The development of miniature devices has generated a large demand for dielectric polymers with high energy storage density,especially at high temperatures.First,poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA)-coated nanodiamond(ND)particles were incorporated into a polyimide(PI)substrate to fabricate ND-g-PMMA/PI(NPP)composites.We found for the first time that with a very low content(0.4 vol.%)of ND particles,NPP-0.4 composite material gave the dielectric constant of 4.4,which is 37.5%higher than that of the PI film.The maximum energy density of the NPP-0.4 composite film achieves 9.4 J cm^(-3)at room temperature,which is 54%higher than that of the PI film.Furthermore,we found that the NPP-0.2 composite reaches the highest energy density and discharge efficiency of 5.77 J cm^(-3)and 72.3%at 150℃,which are 104%and 51.3%higher than those of the PI film at 150℃.This result shows a much higher energy density than most previously published results for high-temperature polymer capacitors.This phenomenon can be explained by the simulation results using COMSOL in which the interface polarization of ND/PI composites reached their maximum value with ultralow ND contents(0.4 vol.%).This research shows great promise for polymer capacitors with relatively high energy density at high temperatures.WANG ChengWei CAO XiaoDan TIAN JunYuan YU Fang JIANG FengYing REN KaiLiang 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,4:0
