Clinical curative effect of electric acupuncture on acute cerebral infarction:a randomized controlled multicenter trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To examine whether electric acupuncture can improve the daily life of patients with ischemic cerebral apoplexy at acute stage.METHODS: A stratified-block randomized controlled multicenter trial was designed for this study.Totally 340 patients with acute ischemic cerebral apoplexy were randomly divided into an electric acupuncture group and a control group. In the electric acupuncture group, 170 patients were treated with electric acupuncture and routine therapy, and170 patients in the control group with routine therapy alone. Major indexes for judging curative effect were Barthel index at 3- and 6- months follow-up visits and number of re-hospitalized patients. Mi-nor indexes for judging curative effect were change in the score for nervous dysfunction at 4and 12 weeks follow-up visits and number of patients persisting in rehabilitation treatment with acupuncture during follow-up visit.RESULTS: Baseline data at the time of case selection between the two groups were similar. The odds ratio(OR) was 0.92, and the 95% confidence interval(CI) was 0.49-1.73 in disabled rate and 0.73 and 0.51-1.05 in the number of re-hospitalized patients in the electric acupuncture group at 6-month follow up visit compared with the control group. There was no difference in the score for nervous dysfunction at the end of 12-week follow-up visit between the two groups. The score for nervous dysfunction at the end of 4-week treatment in the electric acupuncture group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). The number of patients discharged from hospital who persisted in rehabilitation treatment with acupuncture in the acupuncture group was significantly higher than that in the control group.CONCLUSION: Using electric acupuncture to treat patients with acute ischemic cerebral apoplexy can effectively improve the nervous dysfunction scores after 4-week treatment and their ability to deal with daily life after 6-month follow-up visit. Systematic treatment with acupuncture may also reduce the number of patients with secondary apoplexy.Chengwei Wang Zhongchao Wu Ning Li Yu Zhao Fengwei Tian Xi Zhou Zhuxing Wang 2014Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2014,34,6:22
Oral microbiota in human systematic diseases显示文摘Oral bacteria directly affect the disease status of dental caries and periodontal diseases. The dynamic oral microbiota cooperates with the host to reflect the information and status of immunity and metabolism through two-way communication along the oral cavity and the systemic organs. The oral cavity is one of the most important interaction windows between the human body and the environment. The microenvironment at different sites in the oral cavity has different microbial compositions and is regulated by complex signaling, hosts, and external environmental factors. These processes may affect or reflect human health because certain health states seem to be related to the composition of oral bacteria, and the destruction of the microbial community is related to systemic diseases. In this review, we discussed emerging and exciting evidence of complex and important connections between the oral microbes and multiple human systemic diseases, and the possible contribution of the oral microorganisms to systemic diseases. This review aims to enhance the interest to oral microbes on the whole human body, and also improve clinician’s understanding of the role of oral microbes in systemic diseases. Microbial research in dentistry potentially enhances our knowledge of the pathogenic mechanisms of oral diseases, and at the same time, continuous advances in this frontier field may lead to a tangible impact on human health.Xian Peng Lei Cheng Yong You Chengwei Tang Biao Ren Yuqing Li Xin Xu Xuedong Zhou 2022International Journal of Oral Science2022,14,1:9

LncRNA DPP10-AS1 promotes malignant processes through epigenetically activating its cognate gene DPP10 and predicts poor prognosis in lung cancer patients显示文摘Objective:The purpose of this study was to explore the function and gene expression regulation of the newly identified lnc RNA DPP10-AS1 in lung cancer, and its potential value as a prognostic biomarker. Methods:q RT-PCR and Western blot were conducted to detect the expression of DDP10-AS1 and DPP10 in lung cancer cell lines and tissues. The effects of DDP10-AS1 on DPP10 expression, cell growth, invasion, apoptosis, and in vivo tumor growth were investigated in lung cancer cells by Western blot, rescue experiments, colony formation, flow cytometry, and xenograft animal experiments. Results:The novel antisense lnc RNA DPP10-AS1 was found to be highly expressed in cancer tissues(P<0.0001),and its upregulation predicted poor prognosis in patients with lung cancer(P=0.0025).Notably,DPP10-AS1 promoted lung cancer cell growth, colony formation, and cell cycle progression, and repressed apoptosis in lung cancer cells by upregulating DPP10 expression.Additionally,DPP10-AS1 facilitated lung tumor growth via upregulation of DPP10 protein in a xenograft mouse model.Importantly,DPP10-AS1 positively regulated DPP10 gene expression, and both were coordinately upregulated in lung cancer tissues.Mechanically,DPP10-AS1 was found to associate with DPP10 m RNA but did not enhance DPP10 m RNA stability.Hypomethylation of DPP10-AS1 and DPP10 contributed to their coordinate upregulation in lung cancer. Conclusions:These findings indicated that the upregulation of the antisense lnc RNA DPP10-AS1 promotes lung cancer malignant processes and facilitates tumorigenesis by epigenetically regulating its cognate sense gene DPP10.DPP10-AS1 may serve as a candidate prognostic biomarker and a potential therapeutic target in lung cancer.Haihua Tian Jinchang Pan Shuai Fang Chengwei Zhou Hui Tian Jinxian He Weiyu Shen Xiaodan Meng Xiaofeng Jin Zhaohui Gong 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,3:5
Finite Frequency Fuzzy H∞Control for Uncertain Active Suspension Systems With Sensor Failure显示文摘This paper investigates the problem of finite frequency fuzzy H_∞ control for uncertain active vehicle suspension systems, in which sensor failure is taken into account. TakagiSugeno(T-S) fuzzy model is established for considered suspension systems. In order to describe the sensor fault effectively, a corresponding model is introduced. A vital performance index,H_∞ performance, is utilized to measure the drive comfort. In the framework of Kalman-Yakubovich-Popov theory, the H_∞ norm from external perturbation to controlled output is optimized effectively in the frequency domain of 4 Hz-8 Hz to enhance ride comfort level. Meanwhile, three suspension constrained requirements, i.e., ride comfort level, manipulation stability, suspension deflection are also guaranteed. Furthermore, sufficient conditions are developed to design a fuzzy controller to guarantee the desired performance of active suspension systems. Finally, the proposed control scheme is applied to a quarter-vehicle active suspension, and simulation results are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.Zhenxing Zhang Hongyi Li Chengwei Wu Qi Zhou 2018IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2018,5,4:4
Hydrodynamics of slip wedge and optimization of surface slip property显示文摘The hydrodynamic load support generated by a slip wedge of a slider bearing was studied. The surface slip property was optimized so that a maximum hydrodynamic load support could be obtained. A multi-linearity method was given for the slip control equation of two-dimensional (2-D) wall slip. We investigated 2-D wall slip and the hydrodynamics of a finite length bearing with any values of the surface limiting shear stress. It was found that the hydrodynamic effect of the slip wedge is greater than the traditional geometrical convergent-wedge. Even though the geo- metrical gap is a parallel or divergent sliding gap, the slip wedge still gives rise to a very big hydrodynamic pressure. The optimized slip wedge can give rise to a hy- drodynamic load support as high as 2.5 times of what the geometrical conver- gent-wedge can produce. Wall slip usually gives a small surface friction.MA GuoJun WU ChengWei ZHOU Ping 2007Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2007,50,3:3
Stereoelectroencephalography-guided radiofrequency thermocoagulation(SEEG-guided RF-TC) in patients with drug-resistant focal epilepsy显示文摘For some patients with drug-resistant focal epilepsy, we usually select conventional surgical resection, which has brought better outcomes. However, others are not eligible for a conventional open surgical resection of the epileptogenic zone because of the proximity of a functional area or the implication of a larger epileptogenic network. Initially, stereoelectroencephalography(SEEG) exploration was a method of electroencephalography recording that was used in the presurgical evaluation of epileptic patients with complex epilepsy. Later, intracerebral electrodes used for SEEG were applied to produce radio frequency thermocoagulation(RF-TC) in epileptic patients. SEEG-guided RF-TC has produced some promising results, especially in the last dacade. Now, it has become popular as a palliative treatment to reduce seizure frequency in patients with drug-resistant focal epilepsy. This article presents a review of SEEG-guided RF-TC.Chengwei Xu Wenjing Zhou 2017Translational Neuroscience and Clinics2017,3,1:2
A Methodology of Epidemiologic Study in the General Population Focusing on Food Allergy—China, 2020显示文摘Introduction:Adverse reactions to food(ARF)are a major worldwide public health and food safety problem.Among the various causes of ARF,food allergies(FA)are particularly serious as the immune response that is triggered can be fatal even at very low doses. However, the prevalence of ARF and FA in the general population in China is presently unclear. This study aims to determine the epidemiological characteristics and risk factors for ARF and FA,which can be a basis for estimating thresholds for major food allergens. Methods:This is a multicenter,cross-sectional,epidemiologic survey with a case-control study nested among a selected population in China.Random individuals were recruited using stratified cluster random sampling;ARF and FA were comprehensively assessed using modified EuroPrevall FA Project questionnaires as well as structured interviews, sensitization testing, and double-blind placebocontrolled food challenges(DBPCFC).Results:This method of epidemiologic study on ARF and FA was a pilot application in Jiangxi Province from January 2020;among the total 21,273 children and adults that completed the questionnaire,5.8%reported ARF and 4.3%reported FA.ARF were determined to be associated with age, gender, and region.Animal-derived foods were the dominant offending foods, especially shrimp, and skin symptoms were the most commonly reported ARF.Discussion:This is the first multi-center,largescale,epidemiologic study on ARF and FA using standardized methods, including DBPCFC,in the Chinese general population. This study presents an important approach to assessing ARF and FA,provides significant insights about the prevalence of ARF and FA,and facilitates support for updating the list of allergenic food labels:which will be essential for improving ARF prevention and management in China.Hua Feng Yan Chen Hongbing Chen Chengwei Liu Wei Zhou Lianglu Wang Yongning Wu 2022China CDC weekly2022,4,34:2
A Putative Chloroplast-Localized Ca2+/H+ Antiporter CCHA1 Is Involved in Calcium and pH Homeostasis and Required for PSII Function in Arabidopsis显示文摘钙为叶绿体,不是在仅仅是重要的它的光合而且 nonphotosynthetic 功能。 Chao Wang Weitao Xu Honglei Jin Taijie Zhang Jianbin Lai Xuan Zhou Shengchun Zhang Shengjie Liu Xuewu Duan Hongbin Wang Changlian Peng Chengwei Yang 2016Molecular Plant2016,9,8:2
Polyps and paralysis phonation classification with nonlinear dynamics model显示文摘In order to provide the basis for parameter selection of vocal diseases classification,a nonlinear dynamic modeling method is proposed.A biomechanical model of vocal cords with polyp or paralysis, which couples to glottal airflow to produce laryngeal sound source,is introduced. And then the fundamental frequency and its perturbation parameters are solved.Poincare section and bifurcation diagram are applied to nonlinear analysis of model vibration.By changing the pathological parameters or subglottal pressure, the changes of fundamental frequency and Lyapunov exponents are analyzed. The simulation results show that, vocal cord paralysis reduces the fundamental frequency, and the chaos occurs only within a certain pressure range;while vocal cord with a polyp don't reduce the fundamental frequency, chaos distributes throughout the entire range of pressure. Therefore this study is helpful for classification of polyp and paralysis by the acoustic diagnoses.GU Lingling ZHANG Xiaojun HUANG Chengwei WU Di ZHOU Xiaojin TAO Zhi 2016Chinese Journal of Acoustics2016,35,1:2
Clay nanosheet-mediated delivery of recombinant plasmids expressing artificial miRNAs via leaf spray to prevent infection by plant DNA viruses显示文摘Whitefly-transmitted begomoviruses are economically important plant pathogens that cause severe problems in many crop plants, such as tomato, papaya, cotton, and tobacco.Tomato yellow leaf curl virus(TYLCV)is a typical monopartite begomovirus that has been extensively studied, but methods that can efficiently control begomoviruses are still scarce. In this study,we combined artificial microRNA(amiRNA)-mediated silencing technology and clay nanosheetmediated delivery by spraying and developed a method for efficiently preventing TYLCV infection in tomato plants. We designed three amiRNAs that target different regions of TYLCV to silence virus-produced transcripts.Three plant expression vectors expressing pre-amiRNAs were constructed, and recombinant plasmid DNAs(pDNAs)were loaded onto nontoxic and degradable layered double hydroxide(LDH)clay nanosheets.LDH nanosheets containing multiple pDNAs were sprayed onto plant leaves. We found that the designed amiRNAs were significantly accumulated in leaves 7 days after spraying, while the pDNAs were sustainably detected for 35 days after the spray, suggesting that the LDH nanosheets released pDNAs in a sustained manner, protected pDNAs from degradation and efficiently delivered pDNAs into plant cells.Importantly, when the LDH nanosheets coated with pDNAs were sprayed onto plants infected by TYLCV,both the disease severity and TYLCV viral concentration in sprayed plants were significantly decreased during the 35 days, while the levels of H_(2)O_(2) were significantly increased in those plants.Taken together, these results indicate that LDH nanosheets loaded with pDNAs expressing amiRNAs can be a sustainable and promising tool for begomovirus control.Qili Liu Yanpeng Li Kedong Xu Dongxiao Li Haiyan Hu Feng Zhou Puwen Song Yongang Yu Qichao Wei Qian Liu Weipeng Wang Ruifang Bu Haili Sun Xiaohui Wang Jianjun Hao Honglian Li Chengwei Li 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:1

Increased CD133^+ cell infiltration in the rat brain following fluid percussion injury显示文摘The prominin-1/CD133 epitope is expressed in undifferentiated cells. Studies have reported that craniocerebral trauma in animal models of fluid percussion injury induces production of a specific stem cell subgroup. It has been hypothesized that fluid percussion injury induces CD133+ cell infiltration in the brain tissue. The present study established a traumatic brain injury model through fluid percussion injury. Immunohistochemical staining showed significantly increased CD133 antigen expression in the rat brain following injury. CD133+ cells were mainly distributed in hippocampal CA1-3 regions, as well as the dentate gyrus and hilus, of the lesioned hemisphere. Occasional cells were also detected in the cortex. In addition, reverse transcription-PCR revealed that no change in CD133 mRNA expression in injured brain tissue. These results suggested that fluid percussion injury induced CD133 antigen expression in the brain tissues as a result of conformational epitope changes, but not transcriptional expression.Ming Wei Ziwei Zhou Shenghui Li Chengwei Jing Dashi Zhi Jianning Zhang 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,4:1
Lambda-cyhalothrin disrupts the up-regulation effect of 17β-estradiol on post-synaptic density 95 protein expression via estrogen receptor α-dependent Akt pathway显示文摘Lambda-cyhalothrin(LCT),one of the type II pyrethroids, has been widely used throughout the world. The estrogenic effect of LCT to increase cell proliferation has been well established. However, whether the estrogenic effect of LCT will influence neurodevelopment has not been investigated. In addition,17β-Estradiol(E2)plays a crucial role in neurodevelopment and induces an increase in synaptic proteins. The post-synaptic density 95(PSD95)protein,which is involved in the development of the structure and function of new spines and localized with estrogen receptor α(ERα)at the post-synaptic density(PSD),was detected in our study by using hippocampal neuron cell line HT22.We found that LCT up-regulated PSD95 and ERα expression, estrogen receptor(ER)antagonist ICI182,780 and phosphatidylinositol-4;5-bisphosphate 3-kinase(PI3K)inhibitor LY294,002 blocked this effect. In addition,LCT disrupted the promotion effect of E2 on PSD95.To investigate whether the observed changes are caused by ERα-dependent signaling activation,we next detected the effects of LCT on the ERα-mediated PI3K-Protein kinase B(PKB/Akt)-eukaryotic initiation factor(e IF)4E-binding protein 1(4E-BP1)pathway.There existed an activation of Akt and the downstream factor 4E-BP1 after LCT treatment. In addition,LCT could disrupt the activation effect of E2 on the Akt pathway. However,no changes in c AMP response element-binding protein(CREB)activation and PSD95 messenger ribonucleic acid(m RNA)were observed. Our findings demonstrated that LCT could increase the PSD95 protein level via the ERα-dependent Akt pathway, and LCT might disrupt the up-regulation effect of E2 on PSD95 protein expression via this signaling pathway.Qunan Wang Xin Xia Xiaomei Deng Nian Li Daji Wu Long Zhang Chengwei Yang Fangbiao Tao Jiangning Zhou 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,3:1
