1饲草玉米不同生育期的产量、品质和青贮利用研究显示文摘对墨西哥大刍草、玉草3号和玉草6号3种不同类型饲草玉米在孕穗期、抽雄期和吐丝期的产量、青贮品质及其营养价值进行了分析。结果表明:品种和生育期对鲜、干草产量有显著影响,而二者之间的交互作用对鲜、干草产量影响不显著;3个品种鲜、干草产量均在吐丝期最高,其中,玉草6号鲜、干草产量极显著高于玉草3号和墨西哥大刍草。从抽雄期及以后,所有饲草玉米干物质(DM)含量均达20%以上,符合青贮对水分的要求。粗蛋白(CP)含量从孕穗期到吐丝期逐渐降低,变幅为8.19%DM^12.80%DM;各时期CP含量均以玉草6号最高,玉草3号和墨西哥大刍草CP含量差异较小。可溶性糖(WSC)含量在孕穗期最高,纤维含量随生育期延长均呈上升趋势。青贮发酵品质在不同生育期差异显著,孕穗期pH值为3.69,乳酸(LA)含量为7.00%DM,发酵品质最优。品种主效应分析表明,玉草6号发酵品质最好,玉草3号和墨西哥大刍草差异不显著。综合分析品种和生育期对青贮发酵品质和营养成分的影响,玉草6号在孕穗期青贮,相对饲用价值达103.28,发酵品质和营养价值最好;玉草3号和墨西哥大刍草在抽雄期青贮发酵品质和营养价值最佳。李影正 严旭 吴子周 杨春燕 李晓锋 何如钰 张萍 EBENEZER Kofi Sam 周阳 张磊 荣廷昭 何建美 唐祈林 2019草业学报2019,28,7:17
2Design and Implementation of Paired Pectoral Fins Locomotion of Labriform Fish Applied to a Fish Robot显示文摘In present,there are increasing interests in the research on mechanical and control system of underwater vehicles.Theseongoing research efforts are motivated by more pervasive applications of such vehicles including seabed oil and gas explorations,scientific deep ocean surveys,military purposes,ecological and water environmental studies,and also entertainments.However,the performance of underwater vehicles with screw type propellers is not prospective in terms of its efficiency andmaneuverability.The main weaknesses of this kind of propellers are the production of vortices and sudden generation of thrustforces which make the control of the position and motion difficult.On the other hand,fishes and other aquatic animals are efficient swimmers,posses high maneuverability,are able to followtrajectories,can efficiently stabilize themselves in currents and surges,create less wakes than currently used underwater vehicle,and also have a noiseless propulsion.The fish’s locomotion mechanism is mainly controlled by its caudal fin and paired pectoralfins.They are classified into Body and/or Caudal Fin(BCF)and Median and/or paired Pectoral Fins(MPF).The study of highlyefficient swimming mechanisms of fish can inspire a better underwater vehicles thruster design and its mechanism.There are few studies on underwater vehicles or fish robots using paired pectoral fins as thruster.The work presented in thispaper represents a contribution in this area covering study,design and implementation of locomotion mechanisms of pairedpectoral fins in a fish robot.The performance and viability of the biomimetic method for underwater vehicles are highlightedthrough in-water experiment of a robotic fish.Patar Ebenezer Sitorus Yul Yunazwin Nazaruddin Edi Leksono Agus Budiyono 2009Journal of Bionic Engineering2009,6,1:10
3Biochar-Induced Changes in Soil Resilience:Effects of Soil Texture and Biochar Dosage显示文摘Biochars are, amongst other available amendment materials, considered as an attractive tool in agriculture for carbon sequestration and improvement of soil functions. The latter is widely discussed as a consequence of improved physical quality of the amended soil.However, the mechanisms for this improvement are still poorly understood. This study investigated the effect of woodchip biochar amendment on micro-structural development, micro-and macro-structural stability, and resilience of two differently textured soils,fine sand(FS) and sandy loam(SL). Test substrates were prepared by adding 50 or 100 g kg^(-1) biochar to FS or SL. Total porosity and plant available water were significantly increased in both soils. Moreover, compressive strength of the aggregates was significantly decreased when biochar amount was doubled. Mechanical resilience of the aggregates at both micro-and macro-scale was improved in the biochar-amended soils, impacting the cohesion and compressive behavior. A combination of these effects will result in an improved pore structure and aeration. Consequently, the physicochemical environment for plants and microbes is improved. Furthermore, the improved stability properties will result in better capacity of the biochar-amended soil to recover from the myriad of mechanical stresses imposed under arable systems, including vehicle traffic, to the weight of overburden soil. 4The Role of Elytra in Beetle Flight: Ⅰ.Generation of Quasi-Static Aerodynamic Forces显示文摘We conducted a comprehensive study to investigate the aerodynamic characteristics and force generation of the elytra of abeetle,Allomyrina dichotoma.Our analysis included wind tunnel experiments and three-dimensional computational fluiddynamics simulations using ANSYS-CFX software.Our first approach was a quasi-static study that considered the effect ofinduced flapping flow due to the flapping motion of the fore-wings (elytra) at a frequency of around 30 Hz to 40 Hz.The dihedralangle was varied to represent flapping motion during the upstroke and downstroke.We found that an elytron producespositive lift at 0° geometric angle of attack,negative lift during the upstroke,and always produces drag during both the upstrokeand downstroke.We also found that the lift coefficient of an elytron does not drop even at a very high geometric angle of attack.For a beetle with a body weight of 5 g,based on the quasi-static method,the fore-wings (elytra) can produce lift of less than 1%of its body weight.Patar Ebenezer Sitorus Hoon Cheol Park Doyoung Byun Nam Seo Goo Cheol Heui Han 2010Journal of Bionic Engineering2010,7,4:4

6The effect of leaves extracts of Clitoria ternatea Linn against the fish pathogens显示文摘Objective:To investigate the antimicrobial activity of Clitoria ternatea(C.ternatea) against the fish pathogens viz.,Pseudomonas aeruginosa(P.aeruginosa),Escherichia coli(E.coli),Klebsiella pneumonia(K.pneumonia),Bacillus subtilis(B.subtilis),Aeromonas formican(A.formicans)s, Aeromonas hydrophila(A.hydrophila) and Streptococcus agalactiae(S.agalactiae )isolated from diseased Tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus).Methods:The extracts of C.ternatea was tested against P.aeruginosa,E.coli,K.pneumonia,B.subtilis,A.formicans,A.hydrophila and S.agalactiae by the agar well diffusion method.Results:Different extracts of C.ternatea showed inhibitory effects against P.aeruginosa,E.coli,K.pneumonia,B.subtilis,A.formicans,A.hydrophila and S. agalactiae.Ethyl acetate extracts of C.ternatea showed maximum of zone of inhibition against A. formicans(18 mm),A.hydrophilia(19 mm),B.subtilis(19 mm) and P.aeruginosa(21 mm) next to that ethanol extract of C.ternatea showed A.formicans(18 mm) and E.coli(14 mm) followed by Acetone extract showed maximum zone of inhibition S.agalactiae(19 mm) and K.pneumonia(17 mm).Conclusions:The antimicrobial activities of all the four plant extracts are comparable and their potential as alternative in the treatment of infectious by these microorganisms was present in the fish.Susceptibility testing is conducted on isolates using drugs selected on the basis of their importance to human medicine and use in fish production.Selvamaleeswaran Ponnusamy Wesely Ebenezer Gnanaraj Johnson Marimuthu Antonisamy Velusamy Selvakumar Jeyakumar Nelson 2010Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2010,3,9:4
7Urogenital schistosomiasis and associated determinant factors among senior high school students in the Dutsin-Ma and Safana Local Government Areas of Katsina State, Nigeria显示文摘Background:Human schistosomiasis is a chronic parasitic disease of poverty caused by the cercariae of digenetic trematodes of the genus Schistosoma.The disease is a major source of morbidity and mortality in 77 low-and middle-income countries in the tropics where 700 million people are at risk.In a bid to provide relevant epidemiological information to boost control of urogenital schistosomiasis at the state level in Nigeria,we conducted this study with the aim of investigating the disease’s prevalence and intensity,and the determinant factors responsible for its endemicity.Methods:Data on risk factors were obtained from a total of 645 students aged 12─25 years using well-designed questionnaires.Samples were collected between 09:45 and 14:00 in universal bottles.Each10μl centrifuged sample was examined for the eggs of S.haematobium using Motic®(Binocular)Light Microscope(model S-10-P)with a x10 objective.Average infection intensity was recorded as number of eggs per 10 ml of urine sample.Survey data were entered into Microsoft Excel 2010 and analyzed using Epi Info™7.Associations among variables were determined using the chi square test and bivariate and multivariate logistic regressions.Results:Prevalence of urogenital schistosomiasis was 30.54%among the study population,with a mean infection intensity of 30.27 eggs/10 ml of urine.Prevalence and average intensity were higher in males(28.37%and 32.21 eggs/10 ml of urine respectively)than in females(2.17%and 5 eggs/10 ml of urine respectively).Water contact activities(χ^(2)=29.031,P=0.0000),sex(male)[χ^(2)=109.82;P<0.0001],location(Dutsin─Ma)[χ^(2)=7.19;P=0.0073],age group 18-20(χ^(2)=4.819,P=0.0281),altitude(531─560 m)[χ^(2)=6.84,p=0.0089],fathers doing other brown─collar jobs(χ^(2)=8.449,P=0.0037)and mothers’occupation(χ^(2)=9.470,P=0.0021)were found to be significantly associated with urogenital schistosomiasis.Boys were six times more likely to be infected with the cercariae of S.haematobium compared to girls[AOR(95%CI):6.34(4.89─8.22)].Conclusions:Dutsin-Ma and Safana were classified as moderate-risk Local Government Areas for urogenital schistosomiasis.The strong association between the disease and mother’s occupation is of utmost importance and suggests a promising control measure:that is,directing health education as well as grassroots mass chemotherapeutic intervention with praziquantel at mothers.A good network including treated pipe-borne water,drainage system,and sewage disposal facilities available should be improved upon.Molluscicides should be provided at highly subsidized rate to help control the disease.Tolulope Ebenezer Atalabi Umar Lawal Francis Omowonuola Akinluyi 2016Infectious Diseases of Poverty2016,5,1:2
8Nutrient uptake,maximum yield production,and economic return of maize under deficit irrigation with biochar and inorganic fertiliser amendments显示文摘The individual and combined effects of biochar(B)and inorganic fertiliser(F)have all been widely proofed to improve soil fertility and enhance crop growth and yield under irrigation(I)and rain fed conditions.However,the strength of their individual and combined effects on crop productivity has been scarcely reported.In addition,few studies have assessed their individual and co-application effects on economic returns.Therefore,a 2-year field experiment which consisted of factorial combination of irrigation(I)[100%full irrigation(FI),80%FI and 60%FI],biochar(0 and 20 t/ha)and fertiliser(0 and 300 kg/ha)was conducted.According to the results,irrigation was the dominant factor that influences maize grain yield,followed by inorganic fertiliser and biochar,and they were all significant in their main effects.The strength of interaction effects among,I,F and B on maize grain yield follow the sequence F×I>B×F>B×I.The economic analysis showed that the ternary combination of B,F and I was more economical than the binary combination of B plus I,and F plus I(in that order),when compared with the standalone application of I at maximum production in the field experiment.In addition,combined applications of biochar and fertiliser improved soil nutrients,nutrient uptake in all irrigation treatments,compared to the standalone applications of biochar or fertiliser.Further research is,therefore,recommended for long-term evaluation of the economic viability of integrating biochar with fertiliser under irrigation.Oluwaseun Temitope Faloye Ayodele Ebenezer Ajayi Michael Olarewaju Alatise Babatunde Sunday Ewulo Rainer Horn 2019Biochar2019,1,4:2
