1Physical activity in primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease:Overview updated显示文摘Although the observed progress in the cardiovascular disease treatment, the incidence of new and recurrent coronary artery disease remains elevated and constitutes the leading cause of death in the developed countries. Three-quarters of deaths due to cardiovascular diseases could be prevented with adequate changes in lifestyle, including increased daily physical activity. New evidence confirms that there is an inverse dose-response relationship between physical activity and cardiovascular disease and mortality risk. However, participation in moderate to vigorous physical activity may not fully attenuate the independent effect of sedentary activities on increased risk for cardiovascular diseases. Physical activity also plays an important role in secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases by reducing the impact of the disease, slowing its progress and preventing recurrence. Nonetheless, most of eligible cardiovascular patients still do not benefit from secondary prevention/cardiac rehabilitation programs. The present review draws attention to the importance of physical activity in the primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases. It also addresses the mechanisms by which physical activity and regular exercise can improve cardiovascular health and reduce the burden of the disease.Alberto J Alves Joao L Viana Suiane L Cavalcante Nórton L Oliveira JoséA Duarte Jorge Mota JoséOliveira Fernando Ribeiro 2016World Journal of Cardiology2016,8,10:6
2Postpartum depression:A systematic review of the genetics involved显示文摘Postpartum depression is one of the most prevalent psychopathologies. Its prevalence is estimated to be between 10% and 15%. Despite its multifactorial etiology, it is known that genetics play an important role in the genesis of this disorder. This paper reviews epidemiological evidence supporting the role of genetics in postpartum depression(PPD). The main objectives of this review are to determine which genes and polymorphisms are associated with PPD and discuss how this association may occur. In addition, this paper explores whether these genes are somehow related to or even the same as those linked to Major Depression(MD). To identify gaps in the current knowledge that require investigation, a systematic review was conducted in the electronic databases Pub Med, LILACS and Sci ELO using the index terms 'postpartum depression' and 'genetics'. Literature searches for articles in peerreviewed journals were made until April 2014. PPD was indexed 56 times with genetics. The inclusion criteria were articles in Portuguese, Spanish or English that were available by institutional means or sent by authors upon request; this search resulted in 20 papers. Genes and polymorphisms traditionally related to MD, which are those involved in the serotonin, catecholamine, brain-derived neurotrophic factor and tryptophan metabolism, have been the most studied, and some have been related to PPD. The results are conflicting and some depend on epigenetics, which makes the data incipient. Further studies are required to determine the genes that are involved in PPD and establish the nature of the relationship between these genes and PPD.Tiago Castro e Couto Mayra Yara Martins Brancaglion António Alvim-Soares Lafaiete Moreira Frederico Duarte Garcia Rodrigo Nicolato Humberto Corrêa Regina Amélia Lopes P Aguiar Henrique Vitor Leite 2015World Journal of Psychiatry2015,5,1:5

43D additive manufactured composite scaffolds with antibiotic-loaded lamellar fillers for bone infection prevention and tissue regeneration显示文摘Bone infections following open bone fracture or implant surgery remain a challenge in the orthopedics field. In order to avoid high doses of systemic drug administration, optimized local antibiotic release from scaffolds is required.3D additive manufactured(AM)scaffolds made with biodegradable polymers are ideal to support bone healing in non-union scenarios and can be given antimicrobial properties by the incorporation of antibiotics. In this study, ciprofloxacin and gentamicin intercalated in the interlamellar spaces of magnesium aluminum layered double hydroxides(MgAl)andα-zirconium phosphates(ZrP),respectively, are dispersed within a thermoplastic polymer by melt compounding and subsequently processed via high temperature melt extrusion AM(~190◦C)into 3D scaffolds. The inorganic fillers enable a sustained antibiotics release through the polymer matrix, controlled by antibiotics counterions exchange or pH conditions.Importantly, both antibiotics retain their functionality after the manufacturing process at high temperatures,as verified by their activity against both Gram+and Gram-bacterial strains. Moreover, scaffolds loaded with filler-antibiotic do not impair human mesenchymal stromal cells osteogenic differentiation, allowing matrix mineralization and the expression of relevant osteogenic markers.Overall, these results suggest the possibility of fabricating dual functionality 3D scaffolds via high temperature melt extrusion for bone regeneration and infection prevention.María C´amara-Torres Stacy Duarte Ravi Sinha Ainhoa Egizabal Noelia´Alvarez Maria Bastianini Michele Sisani Paolo Scopece Marco Scatto Alessandro Bonetto Antonio Marcomini Alberto Sanchez Alessandro Patelli Carlos Mota Lorenzo Moroni 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,4:2
Teixeira M Gouveia M Duarte A Ferreira M Simões MI Conceição M Silva G Magalhães S Ferreira R Nunes A Vieira SI Ribeiro F 周卫(译) 叶鹏(审校) 2020中华高血压杂志2020,28,12:2

7Acute kidney injury and electrolyte disorders in COVID-19显示文摘Acute kidney injury(AKI)and electrolyte disorders are important complications of hospitalized coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)patients.AKI is thought to occur due to multiple pathophysiological mechanisms, such as multiple organ dysfunction(mainly cardiac and respiratory),direct viral entry in the renal tubules, and cytokine release syndrome.AKI is present in approximately one in every ten hospitalized COVID-19 patients. The incidence rates of AKI increase in patients who are admitted to the intensive care unit(ICU),with levels higher than 50%.Additionally,renal replacement therapy(RRT)is used in 7%of all AKI cases, but in nearly 20%of patients admitted to an ICU.COVID-19 patients with AKI are considered moderate-to-severe cases and are managed with multiple interdisciplinary conducts.AKI acts as a risk factor for mortality in severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection, especially when RRT is needed.Electrolyte disorders are also common manifestations in hospitalized COVID-19 patients, mainly hyponatremia, hypokalemia, and hypocalcemia.Hyponatremia occurs due to a combination of syndrome of inappropriate secretion of antidiuretic hormone and gastrointestinal fluid loss from vomiting and diarrhea. When it comes to hypokalemia, its mechanism is not fully understood but may derive from hyperaldosteronism due to renin angiotensin aldosterone system overstimulation and gastrointestinal fluid loss as well. The clinical features of hypokalemia in COVID-19 are similar to those in other conditions.Hypocalcemia is the most common electrolyte disorder in COVID-19 and seems to occur because of vitamin D deficiency and parathyroid imbalance. It is also highly associated with longer hospital and ICU stay.Gabriel Martins Nogueira Noel Lucas Oliveira Rodrigues Silva Ana Flávia Moura Marcelo Augusto Duarte Silveira JoséA Moura-Neto 2022World Journal of Virology2022,11,5:2
