1Over expression of resistin in adipose tissue of the obese induces insulin resistance显示文摘AIM: To compare resistin mRNA expression in subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) and its correlation with insulin resistance (IR) in postmenopausal obese women. METHODS: A total of 68 postmenopausal women (non obese = 34 and obese = 34) were enrolled for the study. The women of the two groups were age matched (49-70 years). Fasting blood samples were collected at admission and abdominal SAT was obtained during surgery for gall bladder stones or hysterectomy. Physical parameters [age, height, weight, body mass index (BMI)] were measured. Biochemical (plasma insulin and plasma glucose) parameters were estimated by enzymatic methods. RNA was isolated by the Trizol method.SAT resistin mRNA expression was done by real time- reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) by using Quanti Tect SYBR Green RT-PCR master mix. Data was analyzed using independent Student's t test, correlation and simple linear regression analysis. RESULTS: The mean weight (52.81 ± 8.04 kg vs 79.56 ± 9.91 kg; P < 0.001), BMI (20.23 ± 3.05 kg/m 2 vs 32.19 ± 4.86 kg/m 2 ; P < 0.001), insulin (8.47 ± 3.24 U/mL vs 14.67 ± 2.18 U/mL; P < 0.001), glucose (97.44 ± 11.31 mg/dL vs 109.67 ± 8.02 mg/dL; P < 0.001) and homeostasis model assessment index (2.01 ± 0.73 vs 3.96 ± 0.61; P < 0.001) were significantly higher in postmenopausal obese women compared to postmenopausal non obese women. The mean serum resistin level was also significantly higher in postmeno-pausal obese women compared to postmenopausal non obese women (9.05 ± 5.15 vs 13.92 ± 6.32, P < 0.001). Furthermore, the mean SAT resistin mRNA expression was also significantly (0.023 ± 0.008 vs 0.036 ± 0.009; P < 0.001) higher and over expressed 1.62 fold (upregulated) in postmenopausal obese women compared to postmenopausal non obese women. In postmeno-pausal obese women, the relative SAT resistin mRNA expression showed positive (direct) and significant correlation with BMI (r = 0.78, P < 0.001) and serum resistin (r = 0.76, P < 0.001). Furthermore, the SAT resistin mRNA expression in postmenopausal obese women also showed significant and direct association (r = 0.45, P < 0.01) with IR, while in postmenopausal non obese women it did not show any association (r = -0.04, P > 0.05). 2SDN assisted Stackelberg Game model for LTE-WiFi offloading in 5G networks显示文摘The data traffic that is accumulated at the Macro Base Station(MBS)keeps on increasing as almost all the people start using mobile phones.The MBS cannot accommodate all user’s demands,and attempts to offload some users to the nearby small cells so that the user could get the expected service.For the MBS to offload data traffic to an Access Point(AP),it should offer an optimal economic incentive in a way its utility is maximized.Similarly,the APs should choose an optimal traffic to admit load for the price that it gets from MBS.To balance this tradeoff between the economic incentive and the admittance load to achieve optimal offloading,Software Defined Networking(SDN)assisted Stackelberg Game(SaSG)model is proposed.In this model,the MBS selects the users carefully to aggregate the service with AP,so that the user experiencing least service gets aggregated first.The MBS uses the Received Signal Strength Indicator(RSSI)value of the users as the main parameter for aggregating a particular user for a contract period with LTE and WiFi.Each player involved in the game tries to maximize their payoff utilities,and thus,while incorporating those utilities in real-time scenario,we obtain maximum throughput per user which experiences best data service without any lack in Quality of Experience(QoE).Thus,the proposed SaSG model proves better when compared with other game theory models,and hence an optimal data offloading is achieved.Sudha Anbalagan Dhananjay Kumar Gunasekaran Raja Alkondan Balaji 2019Digital Communications and Networks2019,5,4:3

17Efficient Object Detection and Classification Approach Using HTYOLOV4 and M^(2)RFO-CNN显示文摘Object detection and classification are the trending research topics in thefield of computer vision because of their applications like visual surveillance.However,the vision-based objects detection and classification methods still suffer from detecting smaller objects and dense objects in the complex dynamic envir-onment with high accuracy and precision.The present paper proposes a novel enhanced method to detect and classify objects using Hyperbolic Tangent based You Only Look Once V4 with a Modified Manta-Ray Foraging Optimization-based Convolution Neural Network.Initially,in the pre-processing,the video data was converted into image sequences and Polynomial Adaptive Edge was applied to preserve the Algorithm method for image resizing and noise removal.The noiseless resized image sequences contrast was enhanced using Contrast Limited Adaptive Edge Preserving Algorithm.And,with the contrast-enhanced image sequences,the Hyperbolic Tangent based You Only Look Once V4 was trained for object detection.Additionally,to detect smaller objects with high accuracy,Grasp configuration was observed for every detected object.Finally,the Modified Manta-Ray Foraging Optimization-based Convolution Neural Network method was carried out for the detection and the classification of objects.Comparative experiments were conducted on various benchmark datasets and methods that showed improved accurate detection and classification results.V.Arulalan Dhananjay Kumar 2023Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,44,2:0
18Mitigation on self-discharge behaviors via morphological control of hierarchical Ni-sulfides/Ni-oxides electrodes for long-life-supercapacitors显示文摘To cope up with the sustainable energy storage goals for supercapacitors(SCs),the self-discharge in SC electrodes is a significant hurdle,and thereby,nickel sulfide(NS)with high conductivity is adopted as a test vehicle for understanding the morphological evolution effects for long-life SCs.Herein,honeycomb-like NS is hierarchically formed over hydrothermally grown nickel oxide(NO)via successive ionic layer adsorption reaction(SILAR)method.Their heterostructure shows a fivefold improvement in specific capacitance from 348 F g^(−1) to 2077 F g^(−1)at 1 mV s^(−1) over bare NO.Furthermore,the remarkable upliftment of capacitance retention is achieved from 60.7%to 92.3%even after 3000 cycles via morphological control of NS/NO hetero-structure with the help of highly conductive NS.More importantly,the self-discharge behaviors and synergistic role of leakage current associated with morphological evolution via NS overcoating are studied in detail.In particular,the self-discharge mitigation from 45%(NO)to 35%(NS20/NO)due to the NS/NO heterostructure and the behind mechanism are ascribed to the activated-controlled Faradaic reaction coupled with a charge redistribution.This study emphasizes the potential importance of composite heterostructure by tuning the electrical conductivity and morphological adjustment NO via consecutive overcoating of NS through SILAR as a novel strategy.This enhances charge storage,redox kinetics,and the mitigation of self-discharge properties of the active electrode materials.For practical validation on sustainable energy storage,NS20/NO supercapacitors illuminate the LED for 35%longer than NO after one-time charging,potentially beneficial for the next generation SCs.Dhananjay Mishra Niraj Kumar Ajit Kumar SeungGi Seo SungHun Jin 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,18:0
19Moving Multi-Object Detection and Tracking Using MRNN and PS-KM Models显示文摘On grounds of the advent of real-time applications,like autonomous driving,visual surveillance,and sports analysis,there is an augmenting focus of attention towards Multiple-Object Tracking(MOT).The tracking-by-detection paradigm,a commonly utilized approach,connects the existing recognition hypotheses to the formerly assessed object trajectories by comparing the simila-rities of the appearance or the motion between them.For an efficient detection and tracking of the numerous objects in a complex environment,a Pearson Simi-larity-centred Kuhn-Munkres(PS-KM)algorithm was proposed in the present study.In this light,the input videos were,initially,gathered from the MOT dataset and converted into frames.The background subtraction occurred whichfiltered the inappropriate data concerning the frames after the frame conversion stage.Then,the extraction of features from the frames was executed.Afterwards,the higher dimensional features were transformed into lower-dimensional features,and feature reduction process was performed with the aid of Information Gain-centred Singular Value Decomposition(IG-SVD).Next,using the Modified Recurrent Neural Network(MRNN)method,classification was executed which identified the categories of the objects additionally.The PS-KM algorithm identi-fied that the recognized objects were tracked.Finally,the experimental outcomes exhibited that numerous targets were precisely tracked by the proposed system with 97%accuracy with a low false positive rate(FPR)of 2.3%.It was also proved that the present techniques viz.RNN,CNN,and KNN,were effective with regard to the existing models.V.Premanand Dhananjay Kumar 2023Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,44,2:0
20Self-discharge mitigated supercapacitors via hybrid CuO-nickel sulfide heterostructure for energy efficient, wireless data storage application显示文摘With the surge of demand for instant high power in miniaturized electronic and mechanical systems,supercapacitors(SCs)are considered as one of the viable candidates to fulfill the requirements.Thus,long-term resilience and superior energy density associated with self-discharge in SCs are obviously critical,but securing electrode materials,which can meet both benefits of SCs and persist charged potential for a comparatively prolonged duration,are still elusive.Herein,hierarchically refined nickel-sulfide heterostructure(CuO-NS)on CuO(CO)scaffold is achieved through optimized film formation,exhibiting a threefold improvement in the essential electrochemical characteristics and outstanding capacitance retention(∼5%loss).Self-discharge behavior and its mechanism are systematically investigated via morphological control and nanostructural evolution.Furthermore,significant mitigation of self-discharge owing to an increase in surface area and refined nanostructure is displayed.Remarkably,CuO-NS2(20 cycle overcoating)based SC can retain over 60%of the charged potential for a complete voltage holding and a self-discharge test for 16 h.An appealing demonstration of wireless power transmission in burst mode is demonstrated for secure digital(SD)card data writing,powered by SCs,which substantiates that it can be readily leveraged in power management systems.This enables us to realize one of the envisioned applications soon.Dhananjay Mishra Seungyeob Kim Niraj Kumar Mokurala Krishnaiah Sung Hun Jin 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,16:0
