| 1 | Ligation-assisted endoscopic mucosal resection of gastric heterotopic pancreas显示文摘Heterotopic pancreas is a congenital anomaly characterized by ectopic pancreatic tissue.Treatment of heterotopic pancreas may include expectant observation,endoscopic resection or surgery.The aim of this report was to describe the technique of ligation-assisted endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR) for resection of heterotopic pancreas of the stomach.Two patients(both female,mean age 32 years) were referred for management of gastric subepithelial tumors.Endoscopic ultrasound in both disclosed small hypoechoic masses in the mucosa and submucosa.Band ligation-assisted EMR was performed in both cases without complications.Pathology from the resected tumors revealed heterotopic pancreas arising from the submucosa.Margins were free of pancreatic tissue.Ligation-assisted EMR is technically feasible and may be considered for the endoscopic management of heterotopic pancreas. | Mouen A Khashab Oscar W Cummings John M DeWitt | 2009 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2009，15，22： | 25 |

| 4 | Applications of endoscopic ultrasound in pancreatic cancer显示文摘Since the introduction of endoscopic ultrasound guided fine-needle aspiration(EUS-FNA),EUS has assumed a growing role in the diagnosis and management of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC).The objective of this review is to discuss the various applications of EUS and EUS-FNA in PDAC.Initially,its use for detection,diagnosis and staging will be described.EUS and EUS-FNA are highly accurate modalities for detection and diagnosis of PDAC,this high accuracy,however,is decreased in specific situations particularly in the presence of chronic pancreatitis.Novel techniques such as contrast-enhanced EUS,elastography and analysis of DNA markers such as k-ras mutation analysis in FNA samples are in progress and might improve the accuracy of EUS in the detection of PDAC in this setting and will be addressed.EUS and EUS-FNA have recently evolved from a diagnostic to a therapeutic technique in the management of PDAC.Significant developments in therapeutic EUS have occurred including advances in celiac plexus interventions with direct injection of ganglia and improved pain control,EUS-guided fiducial and brachytherapy seed placement,fine-needle injection of intra-tumoral agents and advances in EUS-guided biliary drainage.The future role of EUS and EUS in management of PDAC is still emerging. | Leticia Perondi Luz Mohammad Ali Al-Haddad Michael Sai Lai Sey John M DeWitt | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014，20，24： | 5 |
| 5 | Primary esophageal diffuse large B cell lymphoma presenting with tracheoesophageal fistula: A rare case and review显示文摘Primary non-Hodgkin lymphomas in the esophagus are rare. Tracheoesophageal fistulas mainly arise from solid esophageal carcinoma or mediastinal malignancies. Our patient presented with cough, dysphagia and weight loss, and upon initial computed tomography imaging and esophagogastroduodenoscopy, a malignant mass in the middle third of esophagus with tracheoesophageal fistula was found. The location of the mass and presence of malignant tracheoesophageal fistula were strongly suggestive of squamous cell carcinoma. However, tumor biopsy revealed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. | 11 | Outcomes of submucosal(T1b) esophageal adenocarcinomas removed by endoscopic mucosal resection显示文摘AIM To investigate the outcomes and recurrences of p T1 b esophageal adenocarcinoma(EAC) following endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR) and associated treatments.METHODS Patients undergoing EMR with pathologically confirmed T1 b EAC at two academic referral centers were retrospectively identified.Patients were divided into 4 groups based on treatment following EMR:Endoscopic therapy alone(group A),endoscopic therapy with either chemotherapy,radiation or both(group B),surgicalresection(group C) or no further treatment/lost to follow-up(<12 mo)(group D).Pathology specimens were reviewed by a central pathologist.Follow-up data was obtained from the academic centers,primary care physicians and/or referring physicians.Univariate analysis was performed to identify factors predicting recurrence of EAC.RESULTS Fifty-three patients with T1 b EAC underwent EMR,of which 32(60%) had adequate follow-up ≥ 12 mo(median 34 mo,range 12-103).There were 16 patients in group A,9 in group B,7 in group C and 21 in group D.Median follow-up in groups A to C was 34 mo(range 12-103).Recurrent EAC developed overall in 9 patients(28%) including 6(38%) in group A(median:21 mo,range:6-73),1(11%) in group B(median:30 mo,range:30-30) and 2(29%) in group C(median 21 mo,range:7-35.Six of 9 recurrences were local;of the 6 recurrences,5 were treated with endoscopy alone.No predictors of recurrence of EAC were identified.CONCLUSION Endoscopic therapy of T1 b EAC may be a reasonable strategy for a subset of patients including those either refusing or medically unfit for esophagectomy. | Darren D Ballard Neel Choksi Jingmei Lin Eun-Young Choi B Joseph Elmunzer Henry Appelman Douglas K Rex Hala Fatima William Kessler John M DeWitt | 2016 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy2016，8，20： | 2 |
