1Experimental and numerical studies on progressive debonding of grouted rock bolts显示文摘Understanding the mechanism of progressive debonding of bolts is of great significance for underground safety.In this paper,both laboratory experiment and numerical simulation of the pull-out tests were performed.The experimental pull-out test specimens were prepared using cement mortar material,and a relationship between the pull-out strength of the bolt and the uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)of cement mortar material specimen was established.The locations of crack developed in the pull-out process were identified using the acoustic emission(AE)technique.The pull-out test was reproduced using 2D Particle Flow Code(PFC^(2D))with calibrated parameters.The experimental results show that the axial displacement of the cement mortar material at the peak load during the test was approximately 5 mm for cement-based grout of all strength.In contrast,the peak load of the bolt increased with the UCS of the confining medium.Under peak load,cracks propagated to less than one half of the anchorage length,indicating a lag between crack propagation and axial bolt load transmission.The simulation results show that the dilatation between the bolt and the rock induced cracks and extended the force field along the anchorage direction;and,it was identified as the major contributing factor for the pull-out failure of rock bolt.Hao Shi Lei Song Houquan Zhang Wenlong Chen Huasheng Lin Danqi Li Guozhu Wang Huayun Zhao 2022International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,1:4
2Tetrahydroisoquinolines as novel histone deacetylase inhibitors for treatment of cancer显示文摘Histone acetylation is a critical process in the regulation of chromatin structure and gene expression.Histone deacetylases(HDACs)remove the acetyl group,leading to chromatin condensation and transcriptional repression.HDAC inhibitors are considered a new class of anticancer agents and have been shown to alter gene transcription and exert antitumor effects.This paper describes our work on the structural determination and structure-activity relationship(SAR)optimization of tetrahydroisoquinoline compounds as HDAC inhibitors.These compounds were tested for their ability to inhibit HDAC 1,3,6 and for their ability to inhibit the proliferation of a panel of cancer cell lines.Among these,compound 82 showed the greatest inhibitory activity toward HDAC 1,3,6 and strongly inhibited growth of the cancer cell lines,with results clearly superior to those of the reference compound,vorinostat(SAHA).Compound 82 increased the acetylation of histones H3,H4 and tubulin in a concentration-dependent manner,suggesting that it is a broad inhibitor of HDACs.Danqi Chen Aijun Shen Guanghua Fang Hongchun Liu Minmin Zhang Shuai Tang Bing Xiong Lanping Ma Meiyu Geng Jingkang Shen 2016Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2016,6,1:4
3Production of ammonia from plasma-catalytic decomposition of urea: Effects of carrier gas composition显示文摘Effects of carrier gas composition(N_2/air) on NH_3 production, energy efficiency regarding NH_3 production and byproducts formation from plasma-catalytic decomposition of urea were systematically investigated using an Al_2 O_3-packed dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) reactor at room temperature. Results show that the presence of O_2 in the carrier gas accelerates the conversion of urea but leads to less generation of NH_3. The final yield of NH_3 in the gas phase decreased from 70.5%, 78.7%, 66.6% and 67.2% to 54.1%, 51.7%, 49.6% and 53.4% for applied voltages of 17, 19, 21 and 23 kV, respectively when air was used as the carrier gas instead of N_2.From the viewpoint of energy savings, however, air carrier gas is better than N_2 due to reduced energy consumption and increased energy efficiency for decomposition of a fixed amount of urea. Carrier gas composition has little influence on the major decomposition pathways of urea under the synergetic effects of plasma and Al_2 O_3 catalyst to give NH_3 and CO_2 as the main products. Compared to a small amount of N_2 O formed with N_2 as the carrier gas, however,more byproducts including N_2O and NO_2 in the gas phase and NH_4 NO_3 in solid deposits were produced with air as the carrier gas, probably due to the unproductive consumption of NH_3, the possible intermediate HNCO and even urea by the abundant active oxygen species and nitrogen oxides generated in air-DBD plasma.Xing Fan Jian Li Danqi Qiu Tianle Zhu 2018Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,4:2
4The role of temperature as a driver of metabolic flexibility in the Red-billed Leiothrix(Leiothrix lutea)显示文摘Background:The thermoregulatory ability of animals is strongly influenced by the temperature of their environment.Acclimation to cold requires a range of physiological and morphological adjustments.In this study,we tested the hypothesis that a small passerine,the Red-billed Leiothrix(Leiothrix lutea),can maintain homeothermy in cold conditions by adjusting the physiology and biochemistry of its tissue and organs and return to its former physiological and biochemical state when moved to a warm temperature.Methods:Phenotypic variation in thermogenic activity of the Red-billed Leiothrixs(Leiothrix lutea)was investigated under warm(35℃),normal(25℃)or cold(15℃)ambient temperature conditions.Oxygen consumption was measured using an open-circuit respirometry system.Mitochondrial state-4 respiration and cytochrome-c oxidase(COX)activity in liver,kidney heart and pectoral muscle were measured with a Clark electrode.Results:Birds acclimated to an ambient temperature of 15℃ for 4 weeks significantly increased their basal metabolic rate(BMR)compared to a control group kept at 25℃.Birds acclimated to 35℃ decreased their BMR,gross energy intake(GEI)and digestible energy intake(DEI).Furthermore,birds acclimated to 15℃ increased state-4 respiration in their pectoral muscles and cytochrome-c oxidase(COX)activity in their liver and pectoral muscle,compared to the 25℃ control group.Birds acclimated to 35℃ also displayed lower state-4 respiration and COX activity in the liver,heart and pectoral muscles,compared to those kept at 25℃.There was a positive correlation between BMR and state-4 respiration,and between BMR and COX activity,in all of the above organs except the liver and heart.Conclusions:Our study illustrates that the morphological,physiological,and enzymatic changes are associated with temperature acclimation in the Red-billed Leiothrix,and supports the notion that the primary means by which small birds meet the energetic challenges of cold conditions is through metabolic adjustments.Danqi Cui Na Wang Jingru Ge Jiaying Xu Weihong Zheng Jinsong Liu 2019Avian Research2019,10,4:2

8Functional analysis of flavanone 3-hydroxylase(F3H)from Dendrobium officinale,which confers abiotic stress tolerance显示文摘Flavonoids are important bioactive components in Dendrobium officinale,a medicinal orchid.They are involved in many biological activities,including protecting plants against biotic and abiotic stresses.Research on the key genes related to flavonoid biosynthesis in D.officinale is limited.In this study,one of the key flavonoid biosynthesis genes,flavanone 3-hydroxylase(F3H),was characterized from D.officinale.The open reading frame of DoF3H was 1134 bp long and it encoded a 377-amino acid protein.The DoF3H protein showed considerably high homology with F3H proteins from other plant species and shared a common evolutionary ancestor with other F3Hs.DoF3H transcripts were detected in different organs of adult plants and mainly accumulated in flowers,followed by roots,stems and leaves,a pattern that was similar to the content of flavonoids.Recombinant DoF3H protein,which was localized in the cytosol,could convert naringenin to dihydrokaempferol.The mRNA levels of DoF3H were significantly induced by salt and cold stresses.Furthermore,the heterologous expression of DoF3H in Escherichia coli conferred it higher tolerance to salt and cold stresses.These results provide insight into the molecular function of DoF3H in the biosynthesis of flavonoids,and provide a new application for improvement of abiotic tolerance in D.officinale.Can Si Wei Dong Jaime A.Teixeira da Silva Chunmei He Zhenming Yu Mingze Zhang Lei Huang Conghui Zhao Danqi Zeng Chuanmao Li Shengxiang Qiu Jun Duan 2023Horticultural Plant Journal2023,9,2:1

11Polarization evolution dynamics of dissipative soliton fiber lasers显示文摘Dissipative solitons emerge as stable pulse solutions of nonintegrable and nonconservative nonlinear physical systems, owing to a balance of nonlinearity, dispersion, and loss/gain. A considerable research effort has been dedicated to characterizing amplitude and phase evolutions in the spatiotemporal dynamics of dissipative solitons emerging from fiber lasers. Yet, the picture of the buildup process of dissipative solitons in fiber lasers is incomplete in the absence of corresponding information about the polarization evolution. Here, we characterize probabilistic polarization distributions in the buildup of dissipative solitons in a net-normal dispersion fiber laser system, mode-locked by single-wall carbon nanotubes. The output optical spectra under different pump powers are filtered by a tunable filter, and are detected by a polarization state analyzer. The laser system operates from random amplified spontaneous emission into a stable dissipative soliton state as the cavity gain is progressively increased. Correspondingly, the state of polarization of each spectral wavelength converges towards a fixed point.To reveal the invariant polarization relationship among the various wavelength components of the laser output field, the phase diagram of the ellipticity angle and the spherical orientation angle is introduced. We find that,within the central spectral region of the dissipative soliton, the state of polarization evolves with frequency by tracing a uniform arc on the Poincaré sphere, whereas in the edges of the dissipative soliton spectrum, the state of polarization abruptly changes its path. Increasing cavity gain leads to spectral broadening, accompanied by a random scattering of the state of polarization of newly generated frequencies. Further increases of pump power result in dissipative soliton explosions, accompanied by the emergence of a new type of optical polarization rogue waves. 16Potential of plant identification apps in urban forestry studies in China:comparison of recognition accuracy and user experience of five apps显示文摘Information on species composition of an urban forest is essential for its management.However,to obtain this information becomes increasingly difficult due to limited taxonomic expertise.In this study,we tested the possibility of using plant identification applications running on mobile platforms to fill this vacuum.Five plant identification apps were compared for their potential in identifying urban tree species in China.An online survey was conducted to determine the features of apps that contributed to users’satisfaction.The results show that identification accuracy varied significantly among the apps.The best performer achieved an accuracy of 74.6%at the species level,which is comparable to the accuracy by professionals in field surveys.Among the features of apps,accuracy of identification was the most important factor that contributed to users’satisfaction.However,plant identification apps did not perform well when used on rare species or outside of the regions where they have been developed.Results indicate that plant identification apps have great potential in urban forest studies and management,but users need to be cautious when deciding which one to use.Danqi Xing Jun Yang Jing Jin Xiangyu Luo 2021Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,5:0
17Industrial Carbon Emission Distribution and Regional Joint Emission Reduction:A Case Study of Cities in the Pearl River Basin,China显示文摘China’s low-carbon development path will make significant contributions to achieving global sustainable development goals.Due to the diverse natural and economic conditions across different regions in China,there exists an imbalance in the distribution of car-bon emissions.Therefore,regional cooperation serves as an effective means to attain low-carbon development.This study examined the pattern of carbon emissions and proposed a potential joint emission reduction strategy by utilizing the industrial carbon emission intens-ity(ICEI)as a crucial factor.We utilized social network analysis and Local Indicators of Spatial Association(LISA)space-time trans-ition matrix to investigate the spatiotemporal connections and discrepancies of ICEI in the cities of the Pearl River Basin(PRB),China from 2010 to 2020.The primary drivers of the ICEI were determined through geographical detectors and multi-scale geographically weighted regression.The results were as follows:1)the overall ICEI in the Pearl River Basin is showing a downward trend,and there is a significant spatial imbalance.2)There are numerous network connections between cities regarding the ICEI,but the network structure is relatively fragile and unstable.3)Economically developed cities such as Guangzhou,Foshan,and Dongguan are in the center of the network while playing an intermediary role.4)Energy consumption,industrialization,per capita GDP,urbanization,science and techno-logy,and productivity are found to be the most influential variables in the spatial differentiation of ICEI,and their combination in-creased the explanatory power of the geographic variation of ICEI.Finally,through the analysis of differences and connections in urban carbon emissions under different economic levels and ICEI,the study suggests joint carbon reduction strategies,which are centered on carbon transfer,financial support,and technological assistance among cities.JIANG Hongtao YIN Jian ZHANG Bin WEI Danqi LUO Xinyuan DING Yi XIA Ruici 2024Chinese Geographical Science2024,34,2:0
18ERF5 enhances protocorm-like body regeneration via enhancement of STM expression in Dendrobium orchid显示文摘Orchid plants develop protocorms upon germination and produce protocorm-like structures called protocorm-like bodies(PLBs)from protocorms and somatic cells via tissue culture.Protocorm-like bodies have broad technical application potential in the orchid industry and their regeneration is a distinct developmental process in the plant kingdom.However,little is known about this unparalleled developmental program.In this study,we identified a PLB-abundant gene,ethylene response factor(ERF),and a transcription factor named Do ERF5,and determined its important role in PLB regeneration in Dendrobium orchid.Overexpression of Do ERF5 in Dendrobium greatly enhanced the PLB regeneration from PLB and stem explants,and upregulated the expression of WOUND-INDUCED DEDIFFERENTIATION(Do WIND)homologs and SHOOT MERISTEMLESS(Do STM),as well as the genes involved in cytokinin biosynthesis(Do IPT)and the cytokinin response factors(Do ARRs).However,silencing Do ERF5 reduced the regeneration rate of PLBs,and downregulated the expression of Do WIND homologs,Do STM and Do ARRs.We demonstrated that Do ERF5 is directly bound to the Do STM promoter and regulates its expression.In addition,overexpression of Do STM in Dendrobium orchid resulted in favorable regeneration of PLBs.Our results clarify that Do ERF5 regulates the regeneration of PLB by enhancing Do STM expression.Our findings provide new insights into how Do ERF5 mediates PLB regeneration and offers technical potential in improving clonal propagation,preservation,and the bioengineering of orchids.Danqi Zeng Can Si Mingze Zhang Jun Duan Chunmei He 2023Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,9:0

20Conductive Polymer Composites Fabricated by Disposable Face Masks and Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes: Crystalline Structure and Enhancement Effect显示文摘Influenced by recent COVID-19,wearing face masks to block the spread of the epidemic has become the simplest and most effective way.However,after the people wear masks,thousands of tons of medical waste by used dis-posable masks will be generated every day in the world,causing great pressure on the environment.Herein,con-ductive polymer composites are fabricated by simple melt blending of mask fragments(mask polypropylene,short for mPP)and multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWNTs).MWNTs were used as modifiers for composites because of their high strength and high conductivity.The crystalline structure,mechanical,electrical and thermal enhancement effect of the composites were investigated.MWNTs with high thermal stability acted the role of promoting the crystallisation of mPP by expediting the crystalline nucleation,leading to the improvement of amount for crystalline nucleus.MWNTs fibers interpenetrate with each other in mPP matrix to form conducting network.With 2.0 wt% MWNTs loading,the tensile strength and electrical conductivity of the composites were increased by 809% and 7 orders of magnitude.MWNTs fibers interpenetrate with each other in mPP matrix to form conducting network.Thus,more conducting paths were constructed to transport carriers.The findings may open a way for high value utilization of the disposable masks.Meng Xiang Zhou Yang Jingjing Yang Tong Lu Danqi Wu Zhijun Liu Rongjie Xue Shuang Dong 2022Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,3:0
